L'Homme Eau de Parfum

This smells so handsome. Some people say that they don't get any similarity to l'homme, but I think it's definitely there. It's blended well with a rum-like smell, which I think is the congac. It opens up with a really brief slightly dry orange peel, not a punchy or strong, just the smell of an orange peel on a glass, really faint. I can't exactly tell you the floral notes, but it's not just woods and congac, there's definitely something floral that's meddling those two in the mid-dry down. The fragrance itself is really light. When they say boozy, it's not those thick, cloying scents, it's light, soft, almost to a fault because it seems that longevity and sillage aren't the best. I think this is a great flanker, I'm a fan of delicate scents and this one really suits my taste, not old, not cloying, something gentle and smooth. Though what I am not a fan of is the longevity, it's a shame that the la nuit and lhomme line are weak in the sillage and longevity department. I was hoping with the EDP concentration it'd have better performance, but sadly, it seems not to be the case here, it's almost like a skin scent. I'm seeing a lot of people saying that it isn't special or different, and I see where they're coming from, but for me, it's just the right amount of everything, the right amount of booze, florals, woods, and I love it for it; it's gentle and smooth. But please, make it longer lasting with better sillage. note: you may get bored of this scent, as it's rather linear, however coming back to it every so often reminds me of why I bought it. update: unfortunately had to let it go during my downsizing, it just never got much use because of the longevity and sillage!! Decided to keep a sample :(

Don't really understand why there's hate on the projection and performance...not everything needs to be a room filling, two day lasting performance monsters. Sometimes, you're going out and you're only going to be out for 3-5 hours. You don't need a Sauvage elixir or a spicebomb extreme for every occasion like that. This is to say; this cologne is a bit more reserved. It feels sophisticated, classy, a bit dark and mysterious with a fresh citrus undertone in the opening. To start: the bitter orange and cognac mix immediately coming off my skin, with some hints of zingy bergamot in the background; the opening stays about 30min before it starts to head into the mid. The opening projects probably 5-6ft I'd say After about 30 min, the mid starts to push out with lavender mixing in smoothly with the cognac and bitter orange, geranium helping bridge the gap between the mid and base in the dry down. Mid projection is about arms length away, this stage lasts about 3-4 hours The woods and vetiver used give the base a nice depth and refined cleanliness, coming off as almost creamy on my skin with the cognac. Dry down projection is within arms length, this stage lasts another 3-4 hours A sexy, refined, alluring, elegant, mysterious and sophisticated scent that is perfect for a date night, and by the time it settles on your skin it will be the perfect compliment to post-dinner activities. This also smells INCREDIBLE in the air and leaves an alluring scent trail, that has honest to God had people find me and ask me what it is so they can get it for a guy in their life.

I ve been wondering for a couple of days if i should purchase this one or not..but my love for this line triggered me to do so.Well let me explain if this perfume is for you or if you re gonna like it.First things first, this is not a scent for he who wanna be loud.This is still the L HOMME line and its made just to get you smell great but not loud.So how does this smells? This one will definitly remind you of the original and that's because this is it, but with the addition of some boozy notes , the lack of ginger and ofcourse the concentration that its an eau de parfum.This means that it will last longer, you get almost no sillage and there will be times that you ll be fooled that you re wearing the OG L HOMME.One must be a perfume freak to really understand the big difference in this and the OG.If you ssk me, i will tell you that it smells just like the original with the ginger note toned down a lot ( and this is why i like more the drydown on the edp) and got a little of spices or boozy or something like that.It will not remind you of the PARFUME INTENSE because theres nothing bubblegummy in the edp, or the MOST WANTED by Azzaro (not even close). So if the OG was the daytime la nuit, then this one is the day time la nuit edp.Do i like it??? I lLOVE IT in terms of smell and i love it in terms of sillage as i hate to wear loud fragrances (especially if they are heavy on some notes) because they are not sexy at all.You re just a walking smelly bomb.Hope they will not discontinue this one as i hoped they wouldn't disc the parfum intense......

I just want to start by saying that I’m pretty new to fragrances and don’t have a ton of experience, but I can say this with absolute confidence—YSL L’Homme Eau de Parfum is the best thing I’ve ever smelled. The bitter orange opening is perfectly tart, fresh, and classy. The dry down is soft, airy, sweet, woody, and slightly boozy. This mix of ingredients intoxicates my senses in the best way possible. It’s seductive and mature, yet I think any man over 17 can pull this off in almost any situation—except for working out or spending long hours outdoors. Unfortunately... the performance is lacking. From what I’ve heard, this is common among L’Homme fragrances since they’re primarily designed as romantic, intimate date-night scents. Sadly, the EDP flanker is no exception. The bitter orange, which pairs beautifully with the airy sweetness of the other notes, almost disappears within the first 15 minutes. After that, the remaining notes struggle to fully reveal themselves, hovering just a few inches off the skin before fading into nothingness after about 5-6 hours. I just think YSL missed a huge opportunity with this one. It could have been so much more if it had solid longevity, projection, and versatility. If anyone knows of a fragrance similar to this but with better performance, please let me know!

I’m afraid to say that there’s nothing attention grabbing or special about this fragrance. It’s sort of bland and folds right in with the rest of the l’homme flankers. It does share similarities with the OG but it’s minuscule. It smells competently done and I’m not saying it’s unfinished but after the dry down there’s nothing special about it. It opens warm and decently sweet with ambery characteristics. I don’t know if this is just me but the opening has a weird coconut note to it that stays for a while. The citrus in here doesn’t play that big of a role it’s sort of just a light nuance the leads you to the mid and dry down. As it dries down it freshens up ever so slightly. It comes out as slightly vanillic instead of ambery. Kind of like a lightly spiced woodsy vanilla. Not a ton of vanilla just a smidge. Longevity on my skin was kind of disappointing because I don’t think I could smell anything past six hours. The ambery woodsyness of this frag adds to how masculine it is. I see a subtle man wearing this. He doesn’t need to be flashy or anything because everyone already know by his presence that he’s the man. This may work better as the weather cools down, i’m excited to see how this frag works when my body heat is able to push it out in the cold. Can’t wait until fall and winter.

Has become my favorite of all the L'hommes and LNDL's. Very mainstream but the boozy wood mixed with bitter orange is a stunner combo. Very upscale and smooth for a designer fragrance. Performance is on the intimate side of things but is best on and under clothes. Body heat is needed to project at all but this isn't made to be a loud fragrance in the first place. It’s very far from obnoxious and will not offend anyone even if you are a heavy sprayer. Noticed that after a year on shelf it’s definitely gained more depth and longevity. For such a mass appealing scent it really has a unique backbone that keeps it interesting and slightly complex. Perfect late 20's to middle aged guy scent with pretty good versitily. Anytime but summer days its appropriate. If you like any of these round bottle flankers or the OG you will like this, just don’t expect it to be that much different than the others but just adds the right balance. This IMO is the best mix of the L’homme dna. Actually its my favorite YSL I have tried! 9.5/10 scent 7/10 performance. .....A few years later ....... I am back to just tell you that this a hidden gem and is not talked about enough. Its a must own and buying a new bottle now. Casual class in a bottle, understated but exquisite!!

L'Homme Eau de Parfum (EDP) is a woody, aromatic and spicy fragrance. The opening is slightly fresh, with some citrus and a liquor accord, which seems to come from the oak barrel as indicated in Fragrantica. However, after a few minutes the aroma becomes a little more woody and aromatic, where we can find a very pleasant floral accord of lavender and geranium, and we also begin to perceive the DNA of the original L'Homme, with a base of tonka and amber that despite not being declared make the smell recognizable within this line, spices such as cardamom used in La Nuit de L'Homme are also perceptible and in this case the most recognizable woods are oak and to a lesser extent cedar. Although its name is EDP, the longevity barely improves compared to its EDT version, between 6 and 7 hours. with a sillage very close to the skin. L'Homme EDP is a versatile fragrance, suitable for any season of the year, for daily use, in the office, outings as a couple, with friends, etc., its aroma is very pleasant. For those who know and like the EDT version, this is a safe blind buy, although I was hoping for a longer lasting version, it wasn't, but the scent didn't disappoint me so I hope to get my hands on a bottle in the near future.

I love this fragrance. In fact I think its the best L'homme & L'nuit flanker. Would be in my top 5 overall scents BUT it suffers from the usual intimate performance of all these round bottle flankers. The bitter orange in this is best citrus note I have smelled and mixed with the boozy wood and the L'homme DNA its heavenly. If it was released ahead of the other dozen of YSL flankers it would get much more love. This one is the most mature of the flankers as far as age group it suits. Hoping this will sit and get a little stronger over time. Hard to believe its a EDP. My wife says she can still smell it when I can't so maybe its not as poor performing as I think but wish it would just be more pronounced and longer lasting. Its still perfect for a few hours for a dinner date or before bed if you know what I mean. I think that is what its purpose is anyway. 9/10 smell 6/10 performance 3 months later... I have had way better performance under my shirt on chest and today lasted over 10 hours with a small bubble for 6 of them. I think keeping it warm out of air is the key. Starting to think about a top 5 move. This is the best Lhomme, even better than Bleu Electrique

Gotta say, this is a great release and quite possibly the best fragrance in this line that is still available (though I have limited experience with the others). Nice fresh opening, mainly bitter orange, not a lot of bergamot. Right from the beginning it smells quite boozy, which comes through a lot more as it dries down. All this is on top of a masculine base of lavender and woods with a touch of vetiver. Great for the fall especially, but this is so pleasant and inoffensive without being too sweet that it should work in pretty much any weather besides the high summer heat. Definitely more of a evening type of scent. I imagine someone wearing this after a long day of work at a quiet bar with a few friends, getting drunk off whiskey and cognac. Projection is good for the first 2-3h and then is rather tame. Longevity is a bit lackluster at about 5-6h on skin and about 8-9h on clothes. I like the bottle-style, the quality is nice and the atomizer is good. Price is pretty decent, it’s probably gonna get a bit cheaper on discounters since it’s not been out for that long. Scent: 9/10 Projection: 7/10 Longevity: 6/10 Versatility: 8/10 Price: 7/10 Overall: 7,4/10

ive never really felt super attracted to a men's cologne scent before, i often feel that most smell the same but this...this is just so good!! its very woodsy and mature, but not generic. the vetiver complements the fragrance really nicely as well as the cognac, giving it a slightly boozy trail that lingers and settles into the musky oak & cedar woods. its just sexy, everything about it makes me think of wearing a big fur coat, before my husband & i leave our tuscan mansion to attend a cocktail party i get a whiff of his cologne, its yves saint laurent's l'homme eau de parfum. although i feel this scent is more on the masculine side, (considering "l'homme" literally translates to "the man") i also totally see it as an androgynous scent. i personally love this scent so much that i would wear it as a woman, but would maybe layer it with a vanilla perfume such as ellish to present a more feminine fragrance blend. i just love this scent so much, it exudes this intense sophistication that is just so fucking attractive to me. its just...hot... <3

L'Homme EDP is my number one favourite scent right now. It was a little underwhelming when I first sampled it, but it grew on me... fast! I've been a fan of the original for some time, and this flanker ups the ante in the most perfect way, bringing in a little more warmth, woodiness and spice. It still retains the core of L'Homme, but wraps it up in a deeper, creamy, warm hug. One thing I especially like is that the essential Cognac booziness sticks around and doesn't die in the opening. There's nothing harsh or jarring - it's just a smooth and beautifully put-together blend. As many have pointed out, it's not a beast, but the performance is acceptable, especially for those who wear a fragrance for their own enjoyment, not to get compliments from others. It's great for cooler weather, but could equally be perfectly acceptable in the warmer months.

YSL's L'Homme Eau De Parfum id argue, is easily one of the most elegant and under appreciated flankers of the entire L'Homme line and deserves far more recognition from the fragrance community! The Boozey Semi-sweet Cognac is Accented with a blast of Bitter Orange and fresh Lavender. The Oak base here makes you feel as though you're being served A Grand Old Fashion (Congac substituting for Whiskey) fresh from the Barrel it was aged in Also enough with this "only last 45 minutes and it dissappears" BS, my bottle last 5 hours with moderate Projection up until the last hour. This also seems to be cheaper than most other L'Homme line Frags because I got my 100ML for 45$ (Edit: Apparently YSL is going to be discontinuing this masterpiece so this price may not stay for long) Memorability/Uniqueness 10/10 Longevity 7.5/10 Silliage 7.5/10 Overall 8/10

This wasn't on my radar, I wasn't looking into it or never really had, was t planning on smelling it and just randomly did . I freaking love it . To me this is more.of an evening scent. It does what I want an easy to wear evening scent to do. It smells like a very orange cocktail. I can see the cognac note but to me it smells like a very orange old fashioned made with rum . The cedar in the base notes comes through the most but you get the hints from everything else. If you like orange and soft woods and are looking for a mellow evening scent I suggest testing this out. For the first 90 minutes projection is pretty good . Sillage is about an arm length . It starts to drop off after about 2 and a half 3 hour mark. That's the only con about this fragrance . Scent - 9.0 Complexity - 7.5 Quality - 9.0 Performance - 8.0 Bottle - 8.0

So... I picked this up at Ulta for 50% off; $60-something after taxes. What a great find, I’ve had samples of LNDL and always liked it, was perusing the YSL section and tried this. It’s such a good combo, the airy citrus, wood, and dark booze play off each other in such a way to make a nice Old-fashion cocktail scent, perfect for dates, going out at night in the cool summer and slots right into my MUST WEAR for 2025 fall/winter, I’m gonna run through this 2.0oz bottle and have to get another by new years no doubt about it. Not a safe blind buy but if this profile is up your alley GET IT.

It is not even available in most countries, but a lot of people here are voting. It was the same with bleu electrique, but after youtubers reviewed it positive it changed. Fragrantica became a forum for childish people voting and can only appreciate bleu fragrances. Why would you even be that silly. Just vote and comment when you have smelled it. Write down a serious review, not “another flanker, uhh weak performence”. Really fragrantica block this kind of people, they are the garbarage of the perfume world.

I don't know how many times I've reviewed this, but it's still the best thing that exists to me and most complimented. Also, this is NOT weak. I over sprayed it a couple of times. Two sprays on each side of the neck, plus 3 sprays on my body (right arm, chest, left arm). One girl in the car said that's strong! And was playfully choking. Another girl late at night said it was too strong and I can see her eyes watering. I was in my car, and she was in her car so we weren't even close.

Woody, boozy, and orangey. I like to describe this as an Old Fashioned in a smoked glass. Absolutely infectious, but not too ostentatious. Don't expect it to project a ton, or last terribly long, as you will be disappointed. If you can buy this at a discount, I highly recommend it. It's an easy and approachable fall & winter delight, and you'll find yourself reaching for it when you don't want to think too hard about exactly what to wear on a cool fall evening.

Very nice, im not a major fan of the original L'Homme, I like alot of L'Homme flankers but the original just never called to me. But this however is really nice, the bitter orange and the booziness are nice but they're refreshing, while still maintaining a spice...its really really nice. Infact it may be one of my favorite in the line, might grab a 2nd bottle eventually. This is an easy wear imo, its nice enough for work , casual, date night...really nice.

Amazing woody, citrusy and boozy scent. One of the best smelling ones i have tried. It falls short in performance however. Almost a skin scent just 15 minutes after spraying, and stays that way for the entire duration. This makes it very wearable for most occasions in my eyes, as it will never annoy people around you. If you want a subtle and great smelling scent, I can recommend this one. Otherwise i would suggest to get something else.
