L'Homme Le Parfum

I really hope people don't get dissuaded from buying this because of the 3.5 its sitting at, if you scroll down to the actual comments you'll find that a lot of the negativity comes from 3 things. 1. People who write off anything with so much as a hint of "blue" as basic and generic. 2. People who blind bought hoping it'd be a carbon copy of the original just stronger. 3. People who hop on every L'homme flanker to hate that they made another flanker instead of remaking the original formulations. You won't see much hate on the smell of the fragrance itself, and this stuff smells AMAZING. I honestly wonder how many of these people even smelled it vs. just seeing amber in the ingredients and marking generic off the bat, and even those who did I wonder how many people gave up on it during the opening and how many sprayed it on paper vs skin. Word to the wise on testing this bad boy, it NEEDS to be applied to the skin. When I smelled it on paper the amber really dominated everything else, which did make it smell generic "blue", however the warmth of your skin really helps elevate the woody cedar base making that that's what's most prominent, and the amber a supporting role. Also, I did find the opening to be a bit generic blue. It's ozonic, citrusy, and aromatic like most blue's. The cardamom does add some flare and spicyness to the opening though. Once the opening dies down you really get the L'homme we know and love, and this is wear this fragrance is truly amazing. The cedar wood, my favorite aspect of the original, is the dominant scent here. I'd say even more prevalent then the original. This isn't a "blue version" of L'homme, this is L'homme first and foremost with some modern "blue" hints in the background. I agree those calling it a modern version of L'homme. I also love the green/earthy and aquatic notes it has going on in the background. Something about this really takes you to a warm summer morning in the woods by the creak with a layer of morning dew coating the ground. Put that together with the classy sophisticated wood scent, the sweet creaminess of the amber, and a good bit of spice to boot and you have a scent that's far from generic and boring, and it all blends together flawlessly. For my nose, vibe and climate I honestly prefer this to the original. I'm not huge on Ginger and I love cardamom so that was a welcome change for me. Ultimately IMO they amped up my favorite part of the original (the cedar) and replaced my least favorite part (the ginger) and the added aquatic notes and freshness make it better for the heat and humidity of the south Florida climate I live in and make it match my beachy vibe better. Performance wise its better then the reformulated original. The projection is exactly where it needs to be for something you want to be noticed, but can be worn everyday without being obnoxious and inducing headaches. Longevity is about 5 hours of good projection, not off the charts but solid. So if your a connoisseur looking for the next big game changer to add to your collection sure this isn't a MUST have. However if your like most people and just looking for something that smells amazing for any weather or occasion and will get you compliments and ladies (I get tons of compliments wearing this, especially from ladies BTW), or if you're like me and love wood scents and want something woody that works great in warm weather for the summer I'd highly recommend this.

After sampling about 50 fragrances, this is the only one I loved. It works on my skin so well. Having said this, I’m not in love with the opening. It is ozonic, sweet (amberwood), spicy (cardamom), aromatic (geranium), with a slight touch of lemon. The beginning is a little much for me. I don’t love the ozonic notes. However, if you give it 20 minutes, the fragrance calms down a little and a beautiful, dry, masculine cedar note begins to become prominent and it balances everything out. By then, the ozonic notes and lemon are basically gone, and the fragrance is mostly dominated by cedar, spicy cardamom, and sweet amberwood, with some aromatic touches from the geranium/basil/violet leaf. As time passes, it is mainly cedar and amberwood. At first I thought longevity and projection were bad, but after trying this out, i find the longevity to be pretty good, it lasted about 8 hours on my skin. Projection is pretty good for about 2 hours and then it begins to sit closer to your skin. This will get you noticed but it is never too loud. I do not find this cloying at all. I have never sampled the original but this one truly is beautiful to me. A spicy, woody fragrance with some modern sticky blue sweetness from the amberwood. The prominent cedar note sets this apart from anything else I've tried. This is well blended and extremely smooth. Nothing is too sharp, nothing is powdery, nothing is gritty. This is classy, modern, woody, spicy, aromatic, with just enough sweetness. I do not see any resemblance to YSL Y EDP. That one is dominated by apple, ginger, and sage. Yes they both have amberwood but they are completely different. As always, try fragrances on skin and give them some time. If you like the L'homme line or you like the simplistic note breakdown, give this one a try.

I don't want to overcomplicate it. It is most reminiscent of YSL L'Homme but a little heavier on the woods and green/floral shower-gel vibe. It also reminds me of YSL Y a little without the sweetness. There is some sweetness to hold it up, but it is a fresh fragrance, and you won't think sweet when you smell it. I don't mean it in a bad way, but this is as near to the definition of a generic fresh man's scent as you could ever achieve, but it holds up the YSL L'Homme DNA, and has that underlying appeal that makes it exceptional in the wide world of fragrance. Honestly, to my nose it sits a lot closer to Y than L'Homme, but it is difficult to say because there is essentially zero noticeable sweetness relative to what you get out of any Y fragrance. If you want something that is unmistakably YSL, fresh, safe as could be, like L'Homme, and don't want any of the crazy sweetness of Y, this should fit the bill. I haven't tried nearly as many of the L'Homme and La Nuit de L'Homme flankers outside of a store as I would like, but I have plenty of general experience with them, and I just wish they would bring back Ultime. I own a lot of it, but some day it will be gone, and I will be so sad. Something like Le Parfum is nowhere on the same planet as that stuff, and I can't imagine a reason for their doing away with something so objectively awesome. I only mention it really because the note breakdown might lead you to believe this might be similar, but they are nothing alike, just to be clear.

So far, my favorite from the YSL L'Homme collection. Le Parfum is everything a timeless men's fragrance should be--notes of woods, citruses and ambers, with a fresh yet deep and sensual vibe. I'd even go as far as to say that this is as much of a "blue" fragrance as Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, and even YSL's Y collection. It can come across as a bit mature to some people's noses, but there's a hint of sweetness to this that allows for just enough room for someone in their 20's to pull it off. I no longer own YSL L'Homme Le Parfum. I decided that as well as it works on my skin, it works even better on my uncle's, who now wears this on the daily. A worthwhile buy for me if he's that happy with it! If you'd like to buy this, note that you'll probably wear it on your nicer spring-summer occasions, as it does have a posh quality to it. But if I were you, I'd buy this, even over La Nuit de l'Homme (I haven't smelled Bleu Electrique yet so I can't pass judgment there), and find excuses here and there to use it. I believe this cologne will stand the test of time. SCORE: 93%

This one is freaking awesome. If you like the original L’Homme but hate the super weak performance from reformulations, trust me, this is what you’ve been looking for. They discontinued L’Homme Ultime, which was an absolute favorite of mine, but I can honestly say I am pleasantly surprised with L’Homme Le Parfum. It’s got a bit of the spice from Ultime, the sweet, masculine floral vibe from the L’Homme EDT, but a tiny, tiny bit of the juiciness from Y EDP. Ultime was super dry, this is more wet/slightly aquatic, this is NOT a “blue” frag like sauvage and BdC. This is very much an amazing, longer lasting version of L’Homme EDT, with a bit more spice from Ultime and a bit of aquatic vibe from Y. The beautiful L’Homme drydown and DNA is fully represented here. The L’Homme line gets hated on for so many flankers and that’s totally justified, but this one is fantastic. Again, if you love the EDT, you’ll love this!

If l Homme had a baby with la nuit Homme and jumped in to a iced water.. there you have it the le parfum! I enjoy this one as much as the le parfum la nuit.. not to compare but they both are quality and have niche quality to them, since the blends smell so good that you can’t pick up just a note. It smells more blue than the Homme OG, and the drydown is much more rounded, smoother and fresher somehow. The opening which is quit similar to that synthetic fruity opening of YSL Y, la nuit and a bit of Homme. But the drydown again is la nuit Homme and Homme OG in iced bad.. I like it and hate it for the performance. Maybe that’s why is ranked so low? Anyways the scent is good, enjoyable, versatile and typical YSL, but with quality. It only misses something, I don’t know the opening is just to generic synthetic blue thing.. that’s where it loses me although the drydown is amazing... still an 8/10 for me

I don’t know. I’m questioning the meaning of life at this point. Why am I so attracted to this? It’s generic. It’s common. It’s redundant. So what’s making me want to reach for it more than I’d like to admit in a public forum? Well...here is my thought. L’homme le parfum is all of the things I mentioned above (common, redundant, generic). However - the subtle and slight changes I detect seem to hit the sweet spot for me. I’m like goldielocks. This is juuuuuust right. I’d love to really go deep and tell you exactly what tweak makes this one better than the rest of the laundry list of fragrances that smell similar - but I can’t pinpoint it. I have long written off l’homme as being the height of the Brad/Chad Starter Kit - but shame on me. If you’re into this scent like I am - but want a more intense version - and intensely more expensive, check out Zilli - Blue titanium. Great scent! 7/10

So... Definitely not what I was expecting. This is more aquatic salty than I thought it could be. I like the aromatic fresh-clean scent, but was hoping was a bit juicier and amberwoody. It is basically a better, more sophisticated and expensive Invictus, without the bubblegum opening. Definitely not worth the high price. You can get that kind of dna for much less Even all this said, it is still very nice masculine signature. Definitely boost my self esteem and that's important. But the performance is a bit problematic, especially for this price point. I get between 6-8 hrs longevity and it's very noticeable for the first 2-3hrs then is more close to the skin but still surprising me from time to time with nice wiffs while I'm moving around. 7.5/10 mainly because of the high price point and the misleading notes made me anticipating this in a completely different way

It's an above average performer, lasts way longer on clothes. Had bought this one from an airport. The initial sniff/spray is a bit harsh and dense, but once it settles down on clothes/skin it becomes lighter yet intense in the first couple of hours. It gets a bit sweet from the amberwood almost like YSL Y EDP , a bit of lemon can be detected as well. The aromatic cardamon, geranium and basil leaf can be detected. The ozonic notes play well with the moving air. It becomes lighter after a couple of hours, however the projection becomes a bit weaker. Cedar and vetiver do justice making it a scent with a strong backbone also lending it a woody musky aromatic trail. On skin it lasts 4-5 hours and on clothes it lasts about 7+ hours. Overall it's a woody, aromatic, slightly sweet scent that works better when worn and given a bit of time, definitely recommended.

I’m sorry but I will die on this hill defending that this fragrance should be over 4.30 rating on here. You need to be in a good shop or duty free to see this...I spotted it in Mallorca duty free which is amazing! Tried it, loved it, got home bought 5 ml sample and my 100ml has arrived today. Doesn’t smell anything like y edp luckily but it is a freshie, somewhat powdery to me from the floral heart. Lovely and spicy in the opening and dries down to a subtle, fresh versatile fragrance that hardly anyone is wearing. This is massively underrated. Also the longevity is actually really good, I still smell it on me after around 5 hours but it won’t pushing out any beast mode fumes. Just a subtle but present fragrance which is very polite and excellent for the office. Versatility on this is a 10/10. I’m happy 😃

The hidden gem of all hidden gems Maybe the best fragrance on earth scent wise - not performance. You will be heavily complimented if you wear it CORRECTLY You HAVE to literally coat yourself - you have to OVERSPRAY. Also a few sprays on your shirt before you put it on Anytime and Anywhere I wear this scent, its always an attention getter. Its just one of those scents that will always have random ppl asking "what do you have on?" Its such a beautiful scent in the air, that I wouldn't even recommend making it a signature scent - because who drives their Lambo to work everyday. You pull this out only on those occasions when you need to remind the world how you can move when you choose to

Don't really get the negative reviews on this. It's one of the most expensive bottles I own (I'd rather have 10 £20 inspired by than one £200 house brand) and it smells expensive and classy. It's a blue soapy shaving foam type smell on me. It's definitely smart shit together semi formal type fragrance, easily likeable. The very blue type freshness does fade quite quickly, but that's pretty normal across a whole range of scents at all prices. I get a long lasting shaving foam that's lavender on me (not in the notes so possibly I'm confusing it with something else) that lasts on skin overnight. Wear this to a job interview, wedding, dinner type setting and be very happy with it.

I recently watched a vlog by a you tuber named Hamza Saab. I strongly recommend that channel. He did vs. challenge of this perfume with PDM Percival, Prada Luna Rossa, TM Costa Azzura, TH Eau Givre, I can say that the girls' reactions to this perfume were incredibly positive. My experience with this perfume is also positive. It is very pleasant to the nose, fresh, woody, ozonic, it has all the elements that make you seductive! Perhaps a small complaint is the longevity of this perfume. To smell it for more than 4 hours, you have to sacrifice your clothes. It stays on clothes for a very long time.

I don’t understand why this isn’t at least a 4 rating wise. It smells great, gets compliments, it just doesn’t project. I would say most YSL fragrances (in the L’Homme/La Nuit de L’Homme lines at least) don’t project well either, so I didn’t buy this expecting anything different. For what it does it’s a great scent for the spring, summer or early fall when you’re going to be in close proximity to other people for a relatively short duration of time (think going to the gym, out to eat or a date night). TLDR; smells really good but doesn’t project well, definitely worth getting your nose on

I remember the OG. This Le Parfum version smells pretty similar, but this smells more masculine, I think the addition of cardamom adds a nice kick. I would say this is a deeper, slightly darker version of the original L’homme. I get ginger, spices, cardamom, amber wood and tonka. The longevity isn’t great but because it’s so subtle you can wear it everyday all the time. That’s the whole point, you’ll never choke out on this stuff and will always look forward to spraying it. It does it all. Love it. It’s also similar to the discontinued L’homme Gingembre and the L’homme Parfum Intense.

This is the winner of the Youtuber Hamza Saab's The La Marina Tournament 2024 [a fragrance battle for women reactions] :) I have YSL L'Homme, L'Homme Sport, LNDLH and after trying this I decided to buy this too. It has a clean, safe and addictive smell. I don't like over-sweet/cloying perfumes and this is not one of them. Le Parfum has a smooth blend with perfect balanace. LNDLH is one of my all time favorites and I'm still indecisive about if Le Parfum or LNDLH is the one that I love most. This fragrance truely deserves to shine and I hope it gets the attention it deserves.

I really like this scent. It’s slightly sweet yet clean and fresh. I just received a haul of about 15 samples and this immediately stood out to me. It’s something I could wear regularly that certainly won’t offend anyone. My first impression is that it is somewhat of a mix between YSL Y Le Parfum & maybe Eros but isn’t as loud as either. As I smell it on my arm now it really is a nice fragrance. Could def be a signature scent for some. Just my personal opinion. A 2-5ml sample is available on multiple “fragrance sample” websites and I’d recommend trying.

I really want to get L'Homme Le Parfum a good review. As another reviewer noted, it takes the best aspects of the OG, LNDL OG, and Bleu Electrique and blends them into a really well-rounded scent. The problem is, this just doesn't project AT ALL. It is a skin scent for the entirety of its life, and even then the longevity isn't that great. I do strongly believe that this is better value than Bleu Electrique (which has become grossly overpriced), but at the same time neither of them last very long. I'll just enjoy the rest of my decant, and move on. 7/10

I have EDT and new EDP on my wrists. Both are very simmilar. EDP is like 90% of EDT with a little bit more polished edges (5% amber from Y and 5% Bleue notes). EDP is also a tad sweeter but the differences are rather minimal. EDP smells overall more pleasant to my nose :) Basically If you like L'Homme you will not be disappointed but if you already own EDT this flanker is absolutely redundand unless you are YSL collector. I do not get all the dislikes in voting, it's a solid fragrance, superior over EDT and recent Bleue: 8/10

This is another fragrance that grew on me very quickly. I had a choice between Y EDP and this, and I'm glad I chose Le Parfum. I was initially disappointed that the cedarwood 'blue' accord was so dominant, but as I wore it, the underlying L'Homme DNA became more and more apparent. It doesn't perform as well as Y, but for me at least it's a compromise I'm willing to make to have the best of both worlds. Love it, and I can't wait to wear it once the weather warms up.

To my nose, L'Homme Le Parfum is a mix of 3 great scents: The softness and powderiness of L'Homme (the original EDT) The punch & freshness of L'Homme Ultime The spice & sweetness of La Nuit de L'Homme Bleu Électrique For myself, who owns all 3, this purchase is redundant. But for someone who likes all 3 of these colognes but does not own any, I strongly suggest trying a sample of L'Homme Le Parfum, because I find that it mixes these scents together really well.

This fragrance is confusing. I blind bought it because I got it for super cheap and I love the l'homme line. So, it's exactly like what other people are saying. Its l'homme EDT mixed with fresh/blue/ozonic, but I don't understand it's purpose. L'homme EDT is a very airy, light, day, spring, summer fragrance. I thought this would be built for the high heat, beach, boat, etc. It's not. It's more of as night time fragrance. I don't get it. I took it back.

My husband has it, but this is extremely beautiful perfume that deserves to be talked about.This scent we chose together with my husband, and both of us got in love with it so much.It was the fastest decision with the perfume to buy which was not even planned. This scent is super warm, it gives a very sunny vibe.Somewhere you can feel some little spice and a very fresh pinch at the end. This is one of the men collection of perfumes I am in love with!

I have tried this perfume from a perfume bottle sold, I feel ok with ozone smell as sweet, spicy smell of cardamom. Mingled with the smell of citrus, lemon spray a little after 10 minutes, the sweet scent of geranium, violet leaf begin to stand up, smell the pungent odor evening with basil. This makes fragrances for both summer and winter later, I smell the scent of amber base note of vetiver scent of pine stretched classic !!

Beautiful scent that smells very much like the original L'Homme. If you're not a collector, you won't need both. Like its predecessor, the scent itself is a 10 out of 10, but projection and longevity off skin is poor. (However, I can still smell it on my shirt after a 12 hour shift, albeit faintly.) Very good for office and formal occassions where you don't want to risk accidentally overspraying.

Very pleasant mix of regular L'Homme with Y line vibe. I do not get all the hate. I guess its because of endless YSL flankers and similarity to predecessors. All in all it's very nice, inoffensive, modern-smelling scent and if you like L'Homme line you will love this one as well :) Performance is good, especially on clothes. Nothing groundbreaking but also nothing not to like. 8/10

I have read that many people experience performance issues with this fragrance. From my perspective, I expected nothing about that; it's not beast mode, but it does have moderate projection and very long-lasting qualities. I feel like I'm getting an "inside the shower" experience with this fragrance—it's my favorite shower gel-like scent—and I hope it remains unpopular.

I was surprised to see such a low rating. This fragrance deserves way more love than it gets. It’s YSL’s blue take on the L’Homme DNA, and it’s fantastic. The performance gets shit on, but to me it performs just fine. 6-8 hours longevity. Moderate projection for the first 2 hours. I love this stuff, and it’s going to be heavily used in my warm weather rotation.

A nice scent with one of the best openings I’ve ever smelt in my life. You get the shower gel feel as in ysl Y EDP but it feels much more mature. Unfortunately this barely lasts but projects decently for the first 2 hours. Despite this, if you love the scent enough to disregard the bad performance you can just get away with over spraying it to compensate.

Have smelled it before buying, so not totally a blind buy, but I was definitely anosmic then (had smelled quite a few things before). I love this! It truly is a mix of the L'Homme DNA with Y EDP. Such a signature fragrance, very easy to wear and like. Performance is okay, noting special, and price only from discounters - got mine for around $75.

Secara keseluruhan, spray dekat baju memang boleh dapat 8 jam. untuk sillage pun not bad. apa aku boleh kata untuk Llhomme Le Parfum ni, dia lebih matang. bau yang tak terlalu kids sangat. untuk Y edp tu ada sikit bau budak. kalau yang ini dia lebih matang. bukan tua, tapi nampak matang. sesuai untuk apa jua situasi. harga boleh terima akal lagi

To me this is YSL Y meets Invictus Aqua. It is aromatic, fresh-clean, slightly sweet but the dry down is a bit salty. No one mentioned that before but to me there is a mineral salty vibe coming after the first hour. It is subtle fragrance. But sometimes when you think is gone, you move around and get surprised how nice you are still smelling.

I will be short! This is clearly YSL L'homme plus, a ''Blue'' shower gel vibe. Lovely scent...but why call it ''parfum''. Performance is ok but not the best. Very versatile and office safe. All seasons! would not recommend spending the full retail price because there are many better fragrances for the same money. I am generous, so 7/10

This is in my top 25 out of over 100 in my collection. It’s one of the most suave & attractive skin scents. Not meant to fill the room, but instead leave a light sparkling trail wherever you go. Ultra versatile, if on a date go 4-5 sprays. If you want it to last & project all day go 16 sprays all over. A true gentleman’s scent.

This is literally the big brother of the L'Homme line , the coolest ,calmest and mature Brother, very woody, sweet, and special from the opening till the last second. i hope the influencers stay quiet and don't discover this fragrance so that it stays a hidden gem. 10/10 fragrance 7/10 longevity 8/10 sillage.

Good fragrance overall, such a simple, clean, and pleasant scent with a touch of mystery coming from the woods. Although, it will not turn heads nor get you compliments. I see it as a safe scent for every situation. It's a kind of mix of YSL Y EDP and YSL L'Homme in my opinion.

Underrated banger in the Blue/green category. With 3-4 sprays only, I received compliments Everytime I wore it to the office. A hidden gem that the fragrance community refuses to give it the praises it deserves. Super versatile and easy to wear.

I like this juice, smells like a blue scent kinda similar to y edp in the dry down with average performance 5-6 hrs. You will have to reapply to make it through the day... perfect for spring/summer days I haven’t tried in the cooler months

This is a lovely fresh scent. Excellent for spring & summer, and gym/sports if you have to spray something before exercising. It lasts for over 12 hours on me. Bizarre to read people claim only 2 hours of longevity. I used 2 sprays.

Banger fragrance. As others have pointed out. Just suffers the same problems as La Nuit de L'homme with longevity. But I guess a lot of the best freshies have poor longevity. Can be somewhat overcome by spraying a lot; more often.

Of my current lineup, this has by far and away garnered the most compliments. Silage and longevity are below average so I just double the sprays. I usually do 3 sprays but for this I do 6...then sit back and let the magic begin.

Everyone trashing performance on this one - find a tester while you can. I got two about 6 months ago. One of my strongest fragrances. Three sprays and I smell it non-stop all day long.

Solid wearing every day, incredibly strong when first applied, after dry down only so so, little less than arms length silage. Not very seasonal, quite basic and great for mass appeal.

Very nice versatile fragrance. Shares the same dna as YSL l'homme but with a more aromatic, ozonic twist. Longevity is unfortunately not great. Office safe and all year round smell.

This fragrance is an absolute banger. It really shouldn't be rated any lower than the original l'homme, as they're very similar and this one has better performance

I really enjoy how aquatic the Le Parfum is while retaining the YSL L’Homme DNA - its much more interesting than Cologne Bleue and by far my favorite of this line

Got this today for my birthday from my wife. My favorite freshie so far. Longevity sucks, only a couple hrs on my skin. Go heavy on clothes, lasts a bit longer.

Amazing scent. Love it! Fresh, clean, warm and a bit woody. Lasts around 3-4 hours with moderate to low siage, after that becomes a skin scent.

the lemon in this one kinda puts me off, it’s the l’homme dna mixed with generic men’s fresh fragrance. this one is less unisex than the oh imo
