Libre Berry Crush

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this one, and wasn’t sure if I’d even like it, but I love it! On me it opens with a juicy burst of sweet and slightly tart raspberry and radiant mandarin which melts into the floral heart of sweetly citrusy orange blossom and soothing and aromatic lavender. The dry down envelopes you in sensual and boozy vanilla bourbon, soft musk, and creamy coconut. The most prominent notes on me are the raspberry, orange blossom, bourbon vanilla, and lavender. Berry Crush js a fruitier and smoother version than the original. It’s very well balanced and blended here. The lavender isn’t sharp like in the OG, it comes in smoothly adding its calming and aromatic scent. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about the addition of raspberry here (a note which I do really enjoy), but it’s done really well, and I love the addition of the sweet, tart, and juicy raspberries. It makes it a more delightfully delicious berry version! I do enjoy the Libre line, especially Vanilla Couture and Le Parfum. However, I’m a bigger fan of the Black Opium line, especially Le Parfum and Glitter, as they’re more gourmand. I do prefer Burberry Goddess over Libre though because it’s more vanilla forward with less lavender. Berry Crush is up there with the Le Parfum version for me, and it’s one that I’ll definitely be adding to my collection! To me Berry Crush feels feminine, and suitable for women of all ages. I think this will work well throughout the whole year as it’s fruity enough for warmer weather, but cozy enough for colder weather. This feels fitting for any occasion from casual to fancy, and including work/school. I get great performance with Berry Crush. The longevity is on the strong side as it lasts 8+ hours on my skin. The projection is also on the strong side as it radiates out at least a few feet from me. Ah, what's not to love about some flirty fun? I find Berry Crush to be flirty and playful but in a more adult way. What I mean by that is that this fragrance isn't young (18), dumb and full of ...... come on now, I'm not going to say it LOL. It is more for the woman who has her life together, works hard and plays hard. The fragrance is quite bold so the woman wearing this should be confident, assertive and resolute when dealing with someone who won't take no for an answer, or at the very least, have enough confidence to fake it till you make it! The raspberry in this fragrance is quite prominent and juicier than a women's magazine. The vanilla sweetens this scent up without it becoming lactonic or leading into ice cream territory, and I'm not quite sure if it's the mandarin or orange blossom that keeps it quite fragrant overall. Either way, it's really quite glorious! I don't really get any musk, at least not in any animalic way so I suspect it is more of a clean musk which helps ground the composition and adds to its longevity. I'm not a huge fan of coconut but I feel it is quite subtle in this and definitely not a coconut forward fragrance, more like a whisper in the background, detectable to some, and less so to others. Libre Berry Crush could really be worn anytime of the year. I wore it yesterday on a winter's day and it worked so well in mildish (14C degree) weather. In fact, the colder it got as we headed into nighttime, the more glorious it got. What's funny, is that the majority voted this as a Spring/Fall scent, and thinking about how I mentioned it was "playful," gives me the feeling of being a little bit naughty, pushing an invisible boundary like some mischievous little shit who knew it would get a rise out of someone. As I mentioned previously, it is quite a bold fragrance and I could smell it in every room I had been into some ten minutes later. It projected quite nicely for a good 8-10 hours before I had to sniff my wrists to be able to smell it. I was unable to smell it this morning on myself but when I picked up the clothes I wore yesterday, I could smell it strongly as though I had just sprayed it on my clothes, so others are very likely able to smell it on you even when you can't anymore. Sillage for the first few hours will be as long as Princess Diana's train on her wedding day. This is definitely a fragrance for the modern, hard-working, independent lady who isn't afraid to be like Kesha and let it be known that she doesn't need a man to be holdin her "too tight" because she's a 🎵motherfucking woman, baby, that's right!🎵

Oh, it's soooo good! 😍 Berry Crush is YSL doing what they always do best: proving that flankers are not a weakness but a superpower. The brand has a talent for taking an existing fragrance and releasing variations that don’t just tweak it, but routinely outperform the original. Libre started strong, but it’s the flankers that have carried the line, and Berry Crush is no exception. This version smooths out the sharper edges of the OG and leans into a juicy berry sweetness. The tart fruit note is plush and glossy, not synthetic or juvenile, and it plays well with the familiar Libre lavender/vanilla backbone. Instead of fighting for attention, the sweetness and aromatics are balanced, giving the scent a more relaxed confidence than the OG ever had. It feels modern, wearable, and frankly more fun. What’s almost more predictable than the scent itself is the reaction on Fragrantica. The moment a new flanker drops, a certain segment of users immediately spirals into existential despair about the “state of the fragrance industry.” Knickers are twisted and negative votes are handed out like protest flyers, often before the bottle has even been smelled. Libre Berry Crush has been on the receiving end of this ritual, catching “hate,” “intimate sillage,” and other downvotes that say more about flanker fatigue than about the fragrance. Judging Berry Crush without smelling it misses the point entirely. YSL has shown, repeatedly, that Libre flankers are where the line actually shines, and this one continues that pattern. It’s gorgeous, polished and better than the OG, which by now feels more like a reference point than the star of the show. The coconut note isn't coconutty, only creamy - and that compliments the mandarin/raspberry to perfection. Berry Crush is nothing like Burberry Goddess Parfum like some have hinted at. In fact Burberry's rendition of raspberry/lavender clashes a bit more making it more medicinal (which I don't mind, I like Goddess Intense and Goddess Parfum). Berry Crush is fruitier, well-rounded and creamy. Just beautiful. And like all other Libres, you get excellent longevity and a scent bubble that lasts all day. Also: This is nothing like Baby Doll.

Sometimes I think about being a minimalist with maybe 5-20 perfumes. Maybe a collection of flankers, like my Good Girls or Black Opiums. Lately, I have felt like this about my Libre perfumes. I actually enjoy little pinches of lavender now. I have somehow fallen in love with Libre Le Parfum and Libre EDP (OG) the past few years, followed by Libre Intense and Flames and Flowers. I sniffed Vanille Couture at Ulta and loved it, but was too late to collect one for myself. I did not like Platine or EDT much, but I think I would like the orange-y feel of Eau Nue based on a magazine sample. Now, we have Berry Crush. Of course the bottle is gorgeous as always, and the slightly magenta juice is a beautiful contrast to the gold lettering. Immediately, I smell a few sweet, tangy berries (like eating actual raspberries and blackberries, not candy) supported by a dominating orange blossom heart dipped in lavender. I have a relatively unrefined scent "palate" and love my orange blossom and neroli-- for reference I love Kilian Love and OG Prada Paradoxe. If a floral gives me grape-like vibes (Black Opium Glitter), I am super happy. Berry Crush is not a predominantly grape-y floral berry, but fresher, as if it was 90% Libre OG combined with a bright, fruity-floral shampoo. I am excited to smell the dry down, and feel happy about the addition of coconut. While I am having a hard time detecting any coconut in Berry Crush, I like having perfumes that do not clash when I enjoy Tree Hut Coco Colada bath products and Sun Bum hair care (coconut-banana). YSL has been on fire with their perfume releases in the 2020s. To me, the Libres smell so clean and upscale. Update: The coconut is peeking out a little bit. The sweetness started amping up on drydown, just like other Libre flankers.Orange blossom with fruit and lavender garnishes on a delicately sweet coconut cloud. Delicious and clean. Update 2: On my second wear a day later. As I reached for the bottle, it seemed to emanate an even sweeter scent. I think this is a love!

I blindly bought the 90 ml. I have no regrets. The perfume is beautiful and just as elegant as the classic version. The DNA of the classic is clearly noticeable. You can feel that this version is fruitier than the classic, which makes it more feminine. But for me, the lavender with orange blossom, with a hint of sweet raspberry, still reigns supreme. In my opinion, it's a year-round perfume, although it can really shine in spring. Longevity is good, and projection is arms' length. Edit: Now that the temperatures have risen (April), the lavender has mellowed out, and sweet raspberry has come to the fore. At first, I also detect the beautiful jasmine known from Alien Mugler. This perfume is the most beautiful and feminine version of Libre. I'm in love. I bought another bottle as a backup (I'm so afraid it will be discontinued). Beautiful! Beautiful! Beautiful!

At first I thought it was going to be a cherry perfume by looking at the color, I had low expectations because I don't really like cherry or/and fruity perfumes but I loved this one! You can definitely smell the raspberry but I wouldn’t say that it’s a strictly fruity perfume. It’s perfectly blended with vanilla-like notes and lavender that add a bit “warmth” and sweet scent that also makes it more suitable for colder seasons. It’s a bit weird to explain because I do only smell the berry but you can also understand that it’s not just berry but it’s mixed with non-fruity notes as well. I don’t really smell the mandarin though. If you like sweet perfumes this is perfect because it’s not cloyingly or synthetic sweet either. The quality is perfect, longevity perfect, sillage moderate. Typical ysl! 💞

I have a sample and I really like it. It smells weirdly like a cross of Libre and Alien to me - I don’t know why I get this because the notes don’t suggest it at all. I don’t get much berry in this, or coconut. Performance is good - not amazing but definitely lasts 3 hours on me. I would probably buy this if it didn’t feel similar to a lot of other perfumes I already have. EDIT: in an unforeseen and shocking turn of events, I have purchased this. My husband is at his wits’ end with my perfume spending, but this is beautiful and I wanted it...so I obtained it. No regrets!

I really loved the way this smelled at Dilliards so I ordered a bottle online from Ulta. The scent on the tester paper was still filling my car with a wonderful raspberry kissed Libre DNA 4 days after the spray. I’m not sure if it was killed in the mail or I got a bad batch but my juice has the strength of a weak body mist and next to no staying power. I’ve never had the “tester was great and the bottle I got is not the same” before, I’m trying to decide if I just return it for my money back or exchange it. I really do love this take on this DNA.. boo

Sometimes beauty, and the key to success, lies in simplicity. Berry Crush opens with a sensual accord of juicy, sweet berries that pampers the senses and lifts the mood. Quite quickly, it gives way to the elegant notes of the original. The overall composition is warm, pleasant to wear, and enriches the Libre collection while remaining faithful to its DNA. Longevity is excellent, projection is clearly noticeable, and the eye-catching color palette completes the experience. An exceptionally successful flanker that I highly recommended.

I think this is the best-smelling libre in the series. I don't usually like libre very much but to my taste, this one smells so good. My nose can tell the difference, and I don't understand people who say all smell the same. I think its longevity is average; I would have liked it to be more long-lasting and more sweet fruity. But I liked it. For example, I didn't like the Vanilla Couture flanker at all; I thought it was a cheap, unnecessary vanilla scent. I added berry crush to my collection.

I like it! It's sweet and aromatic to my nose, I've been following the raspberry trend lately (it's one of my favourites notes), in Libre berry crush the raspberry disappears within the first minutes, after that I get orange blossom, lavander and vainilla, mostly, maybe some creamy coconut in the background, it's similar to Mon Guerlain to me, although Guerlain's vanilla is my favorite, I've been reaching for this scent often, it's perfect for a daily scent since it isn't cloying.

I really like it. It has red berries that I’d describe like mix of raspberries, cherry and mandarins. And base of classic Libre with lavender and vanilla amber. I couldn’t understand why I feel so comfortable in it before I’ve seen that it has coconut. In one hand it is just very obvious luxury perfume, in other - balanced composition that is juicy and easy to wear. BThW my husband didn’t like it, he said it sounds like grandma powder🤷♀️

@gjeanba5 This one isn't overly sweet, in fact I think it's slightly less sweet than other Libres, because it has a tart fruitiness instead from the raspberry/mandarin. It’s not at all ice-cream gourmand, it's a fruity floral with a creamy (from the coconut) vanilla base. It’s very similar to other libres, but with its own twist. The most gourmand of the line is Vanille Couture, and even that one is more of a floral vanilla.

I was hesitant to even try this initially because I feel like there has been such an over abundance of berry fragrances lately but this is actually surprisingly good?? It still has the classic Libre essence but the berry note definitely takes over and makes it smell really sexy! The longevity seems pretty decent as well, I feel like overall it works great for early spring while it’s still somewhat cold outside.

I drove 40 minutes after waiting four weeks for this little gem. I didnt like the OG or the parfum on me but I do love them on my sister. This berry crush is a bit medicinal at first spray but quickly mellows out into a softer version of the OG with a bit of berries. Im not pulling coconut. No compliments yet but I sprayed lightly for work. Doesnt last very long, even over Vaseline. Maybe 3.5 hours.

this the og but with sooooo juicy berry sooo yummy!!! love the berry twist!! though if you have the og and expect something like super big twist from the dna, most likely you'll be a little bit disappointed. the longer it stays on my skin the more juicy it gets, especially from the heat. anyway a banger for hotter setting. good job ysl. that dua lipa berry crush ad vibe is real, like seriously 😅💋🍓

When I bought my Y Edp bottle, they sent a tester of this. Me and my girlfriend both smelled the tester and found it really good. And I bought this for her as anniversary gift. Smells incredibly good, berry changes the game. No women's scent is like this for sure. This is flexible, sweet and a little fresh in my opinion. Great gift for your love.

I love this it’s smooth creamy and slightly edible smelling with the Libre DNA. It’s like there’s berries and cream in the background. Longevity is the same as all of them moderate. I love the pink juice and it’s got a similar vibe to flowers and flames flanker. Very happy.

Objectively I know it's nothing too original but it's the perfect everyday fragrance I was looking for. Basically the same as the OG Libre but with a hint of berry. I get a lot of berry in the opening but then dries down into a powdery and fruity sweet vanilla on my skin.

Update 7/16 I’ve been wearing this almost daily and have gotten tons of compliments. I can’t stop reaching for it. From the moment I spray it to the dry down at the end of the day I love this fragrance. Almost half way through the bottle 3/31 Such a yummy berry fragrance
