Libre L'Absolu Platine

YSL Libre L'Absolu Platine: 🗣Out of ALL the Libre series of Perfumes, this one deffo stands firmly on it's own two feet!! Personally, YSL could have launched this perfume as a stand alone/completely brand new fragrance/fragrance name etc, as it DOES'NT have any of the Original DNA of any of the other's in the Libre line up of fragrances!! Also outta all the other's, this one deffo comes across as being perfectly "UNISEX"!! and would smell equally good on any guy/man, as it does on any girl/woman!! This one has a certain inbuilt freshness/soapyness, with slight overtones of being aromatic!! I actually find it to be a very cool, uplifting fragrance, and I hate using the term, calling it "laundry Detergent Freshness"!! (Like Crisp Freshly Dried Linen) but that is really exactly how this fragrance does smell on my skin when I have it on me!! and on my husband's skin, it really does smell absolutely fantastic!! So much so, that I told him to use it more often, when he's dressed up, and we're heading out together!! It kinda has a gentle hint of "Chanel Allure Sport" coolness over tones, to it, which deffo isn't a bad thing at all, hence why I said it could/should be marketed as "Libre L'Absolu Platine Unisex"!! This one would also be perfect to take away on holiday with you, as I think it would smell amazing equally in the heat of the day, as it would the warmth of the night!! again because it has that inbuilt coolness like ice and freshness to it!! So if like myself, you already have/love Libre Etd, Edp Intense, Le Perfum etc, and fancy something that's far more fresher and aromatic/could be worn, enjoyed by your other half a guy!! Then this one could deffo hit the spot!! Again the bottle is absolutely stunning, with it's pure silver coating inside the famous YSL Libre glass bottle!! And being an edp, your talking at least a good 12+ hours performance on your skin!! Yet again this fragrance ooooozes pure genuine class!! YSL deffo have done it yet again with this one!! love"Love"LOVE IT!! 😍🥰💕💗💗💗

This is absolutely my favorite scent ever! It's lavender heavy and fresh, floral, medicinal almost and sooooo clean smelling. Lavender can be rather polarizing with a lot of people. You either hate it or you love it and I absolutely love it! It's beautifully done and the star of this flanker! It so lavender heavy, it's like being in a field of lavender itself. I don't really smell much of any of the other notes as the lavender really overpowers everything else, but if you don't mind that and only care about the lavender, absolutely get this. It's so clean and sexy and definitely a scent only a confident person can pull off. Its NOT shy and commands attention, and I love that. Heads will turn! I can also imagine a man wearing this as lavender can be very masculine sometimes. This perfume has a bit of a unisex feel to it. This lavender isn't like the dusty powdery smelling fancy lavender soap your grandma leaves out in her bathroom. It's a lot more refined but sharp, a tinge metallic. There is a soapy quality to it, but it only adds to the fresh and herbal tone the lavender already has and not sweet at all. The silver bottle really encapsulates how this perfume feels in the first sniff and also just simply beautiful on display. YSL really outdid themselves when they made this flanker and it's signature scent worthy like all the libres. Super easy to get noseblind to, but you will smell it when you leave and re-enter the room. Just a little spray goes a long way. I sprayed this on my shirt and took a trip to the store. When I got back in my car, all I could smell was this perfume. I really can't stop smelling it!

after testing this on skin on 2 occasions in store, i was unexpectedly encapsulated by it. i just got a 50ml bottle for my birthday. im fairly sure this is my first ever scent from ysl... i rarely buy any mainstream fragrance, unless it’s vintage. i think what initially drew me to this one was the bottle- although it was released a couple of years ago, i only recently noticed it sitting amongst the other Libre scents. i thought maybe it was new, so i tried it out. well it is safe to say that i am currently addicted to this fragrance. i am not a fan of lavender as a note, so seeing two forms of lavender in this left me a bit perplexed. i didn’t check out the note pyramid until after i bought the bottle. i do not smell even a hint of lavender, or citrus, or aldehydes. to my nose, this fragrance is primarily a deeply rich, almost silky vanilla & amber. but not just vanilla and amber.. that would be a huge understatement.. it’s like i can’t really pinpoint any specific notes. it just smells absolutely DIVINE. so moreish and on the verge of being seductive. i think it could work both as a daily scent and a scent that is kept for special occasions. it’s notably very elegant and smells straight up expensive. the longevity is incredible, as is the projection— a few sprays of it on skin & clothes will last from one morning to the following morning. the performance is on par with tom ford’s private blend line. sooo.. i think the performance of this perfume alone justifies the price point and makes it worth every penny. i know for sure that it will last me a longgg while because a little goes a long way with it.

I know this one gets alot of hate in comparison to tge other flankers, but to me this was the best one! On my skin the others smelled soooo dated didn't smell good at all on me or they were so cloying that even in winter one spray was death! I didn't understand it because my friend wears them and they on her smell beautiful... Then I tried this in the store...all the sales ladies said this smelled masculine..on tester I could understand the bergamot pulling cologne smell vibes but when I sprayed this on my wrist that all went away! Even after a few moments the workers started changing their minds on the scent because on me this is a airy sunny happy clean girl not too much sweet creamy vanilla lavender scent. People will disagree but that's fine because I have both and I'm smelling them side by side Libre L'Absolu Platine by YSL on my skin comes the most close to lavandes Trianon lancome than any other of the Libre scents and doesn't pull dated or cloying on me... if you were not a fan of any Libre scents give this one a try because who knows maybe like me this will be the one that works on you😊 This is why I love fragrance the way smells work with our skin ,environment, and even can trick our noses into smelling things we aren't really..so fascinating! And we'll if your like me and love this flanker I'm glad this one gets some love it certainly deserves ❤️

Clean fresh airy aldehydes! It is beautiful. Man I appreciate a well done aldehyde perfume. This one is cold and airy. Reminds me of a brisk breeze in early spring when flowers are just blooming but then frost sweeps in and covers everything overnight. It feels more conceptual, evoking a mood or specific scene. I think this one would work wonders in warm weather. The dry down is powdery vanilla perfection—a dry vanilla, only slightly warmed up by a creamy amber. I think this flanker feels like an intense version but in the opposite direction. Instead of going deeper & warmer (like the actual Intense version), it leans brisker & brighter. If I had to just choose 2 flankers, it might be Platine and the Intense. These two cover both sides of the Libre spectrum beautifully, taking the OG up a notch in either direction. One warmer, one brighter. I do appreciate the OG EDP, that one is the middle ground between the two flankers previously mentioned. I believe the Le Parfum version deviates the most and drifts in a different direction with its honey syrup grape bubble gum accord. While Intense and Platine remain more true to the original DNA.

I've been scoping this out for so long. I loved Prada Luna Rosa Sport. Never bought it because it's a men's fragrance but I almost broke down and bought it. When I saw this release I ignored it until once day I finally said let me try it. To my surprise it was sooo beautiful. Its like the more feminine Luna Rossa Sport. Beautiful, Aquatic, luxuriously soapy. A tiny bit sweet. I told myself to return the bottle as it was my first time wearing it on the skin. I regretted it The next morning I showered and sprayed 1x on my torso, it was very cloying. I started to feel nauseated until about 2 hours in. I can't get enough of it. I ended up spraying my arm and wrist just to sniff as I'm typing this. The lavender, the amber. It makes my mouth water and I love those types of fragrances. Definitely aquatic. Luxurious shampoo comes to mind, Beautiful!!!! This is a fragrance that I don't want to smell all the time when I wear it, instead a want subtle whiffs of it every few minutes. Don't over spray this one!

I just checked side by side the perfumes that are listed as similar. It has a same DNA as Libre but it's not that similar, Libre platine has prominent lavender and citrus note, however it is not nearly as sweet as Libre. In Libre everything kind of drowns in vanilla, it's very very sweet. In platine you get the sweetness around 2 - 3 hours after spraying, even then it's not as sweet as Libre. On another hand, this and Myslf are almost indistinguishable, around 3 hours later they start to smell different, Libre platine smells like vanilla with a tiny bit of lavender and Myslf smells exactly like Libre platine just after spraying, but has an additional soapy note. That is on my skin, on paper the scent is still going on strong for both and it didn't change much till now (4 hours later). As a matter of fact they are still very similar. Both have good longevity and silage, but Myslf is stronger.

I love this fragrance. The first time I tried it, I only smelled it because it was on sale. I liked libre's line of fragrances but I didn't love how popular they were so I was intrigued by this specific flanker because of how different it smelled from its brothers and sisters. On first spray, I wasn't in love. it kind of reminded me of an office, gray and sort of masculine. but by the end of the night I fell in love with it. The way it mixed with my skin chemistry and the way it dried down was intoxicating. The lavender becomes so boozy and delicious and spicy by the end of the night, I couldn't get it off my mind. thankfully I was able to get this fragrance extremely discounted but definitely would not have paid full price for it despite how much I love it. and underrated flanker from the libre family!

This is so fresh but with the DNA of Libre, I love It! It is not masculine at all, it’s actually quite feminine just clean. This is one of the few perfumes that I love with a lavender note, but for me it’s soft and beautiful. I’ve worn in warmer weather and yesterday, in freezing temperatures. I felt very confident, sexy, yet casual. It’s one that you can over spray without being offensive. Lately I’ve been using the TF Soleil Neige all over body spray on my skin out of the shower, then Platine all over my clothes, neck area, arms. It’s a head turner. For context, although I have a strong liking for all Libre’s, the Le Parfum is my go to and Platine is right next to it. If you like Le Parfum you will like this. La Parfum for a night out and this one during the day in any setting.

I think I have found in Libre L’Absolu Platine an aldehydic scent that I absolutely adore. A first for me. And I don’t even like the Libre line. L’Absolu Platine smells fresh, clean, crisp, floral and it’s long lasting. I love the way they combined sweet citrus notes with lavender, orange blossoms, vanilla, aldehyde and amber. It’s such an airy, springy scent. This is not the typical designer release and I have to say that I am impressed. I am loving this so much that I am considering buying a bottle of this for next spring. Will revisit when spring approaches, maybe by then the price will drop because at the moment it is very expensive. The silvery, shining bottle really stands out. Love this colour and I find it very appropriate for the way the fragrance smells.

This is masculine and beautiful! I am a girl who feels that their is something sexy about a woman who smells masculine. Every woman needs one or two masculine leaning fragrances in their collection, and this one definitely doesn't disappoint. The lavender is kind of sharp at first spray, and the aldehydes gives this a bit of a menthol touch to it. But I'm so ready for the weather to start warming up. This is going to be really nice in the spring. I'll try it in the summer but I feel like that could be headache inducing. I will have to wait and see. Update: I was right, this is really nice on spring afternoons. I've also been able to wear it a few times in the summer. This is a really beautiful version of Libre. I'm really glad that I gave it a chance.

I'm so obsessed with this and I don't know why I interpreted this as angelic and heavenly scent (because it's a clean scent and I often associate cleanliness to an angel who came from heaven). Some say that this is more masculine-leaning scent (due to heavy diva lavender that makes it more masculine) but I can say that this is a versatile and unisex perfume and can be wore by anyone and anywhere. It's weird that I also associate this scent to a not-so-sweet milk (lactonic-y, maybe because of the combination of vanilla and amber on its dry-down) and unique detergent powder (well, due to aldehydes). But overall, I'M REALLY OBSESSED with this and I would repurchase this if I finished my first bottle!

Beautiful. I was worried about this one because I don't usually enjoy metallic perfumes, but this one is just perfect. I couldn't tell you how it compares to the other Libres, because I haven't smelled them in some time. I would say it's the lavender in here to has the metallic, cold edge, but it's just sweet enough from the beautiful orange blossom that it's not too sharp. Nor is it too sweet that it turns your stomach. Just enough aldehydes to add to the freshness. I can't tell if this is the version of Libre I need, but sampling this perfume has reminded me that I really need a bottle of Libre in some form, probably one of the fresher ones. Gorgeous for spring.

I wound up loving this scent! It’s like a beefed up version of the EDT. The lavender note is strong like the original EDP, but there’s less citrus and the dry down isn’t as sweet. I could see this working well in warmer weather because of lighter vanilla and amber. Surprisingly, I didn’t notice any soapy aldehydes here; I compared it to the Parfum which pulls somewhat soapy on my skin and the Parfum was definitely soapier. Just like most of the other Libres, this lasts nearly all day with just a few sprays and has a reasonable silage. So far, I’m torn between the original EDP and this for my favorite out of all the Libres.

Agree with the review below, L'Absolu Platine deserves to be in a class of its own separate from the Libre line. Love at first sniff, first time ever! Fresh, bright and sparkling yet sultry, projection is outspoken but inoffensive. Lavender, orange blossom and bergamot are beautifully blended. Amazing longevity. Sprayed three times on skin, once on a pullover in early evening. Scent lingered on both into the morning. Usually prefer woody, warm fragrances but this is a new favorite. Suitable for all seasons and sexes, indulge and enjoy the perfection of L'Absolu Platine. 🎉

This is so good! Probably my fave Libre so far. This is an excellent clean, everyday scent that is totally inoffensive IMO. Smells like you've just had an everything shower. It's a clean laundry-esque Libre. I am not sure why so many hate on scents that are reminiscent of laundry, I personally love it. This has the aldehydes that gives Libre a freshness that I am loving. This may be on its way to being discontinued, so I may need to pick up another bottle. This is totally unisex. You just smell clean and good! The bottle is stunning too. Lasts the whole work day.

I used to hate Libre though it’s been growing on me lately. But once I tried this one, I decided to get this. It smells masculine at first, then it changes to the fresh type of Libre with a hint of sweetness on the background. Then, on the dry down it smells kinda like Libre Intense, just less intense since it’s a dry down. A very versatile perfume to pull off for the whole day; fresh once it’s freshly applied during the day then turns sweet by the evening. This lasts about 6 hrs on my skin and this lasts until you wash it on fabric.

This perfume is stroooong. A little goes a long way. When I tested it i immediately was taken back to summer trips to Italy. It reminds me of a luxurious sunscreen on your skin, after a day on the beach. It's clean, it's soapy, but not like ivory soap. It's more like a handmade lavender soap, which feels cooling in the heat. It feels vintage, in a good way. It's creamy, with a hint of orange zest on the dry down. It's not sweet, but it's airy, so for me it leans unisex. Buut.. it's pricey. And i dont care for the bottle.

To me this smells abit like YSL Myslf Le Parfum but then as it develops you get something akin to the plum and heliotrope found in Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir. I think it's because Narciso Rodriguez Musc Noir and this both share a heliotrope note (Parfumo lists a heliotrope 🪻 note in one of the base notes). Perfectly unisex in my opinion. I will get this scent as a gent. Just that I adore my YSL. When it's finished though I am coming for this and will update my review accordingly.🙂 10/10 for first impressions.

The nicest of the Libré flankers. A clean, fresh floral with decent lasting power. I like it so much I bought a back up bottle for a decent price. Just wish the lavender hung around a little longer. I don't understand the headache inducing part, as it sits fairly close to the skin, fairly quickly. That said, it does last. I layer it with Sleepy lotion from Lush, which holds the scent longer without changing it much, since the lotion is a lavender & vanilla scent, it blends very well. Can be worn year round.

I must preface this by saying that I have a love/hate relationship with Libre. I like the concept of it but man it gives me a headache whenever I wear it. Then came this beauty. This is the cleanest most beautiful airy scent I’ve smelled in a long time. It reminds me of the most confident woman who keeps her femininity in tact in the board room or male dominated environment. She’s the 1, and the two...lol Perfect fragrance for work or during a little daytime weekend situation. 8.5 out of 10!

Love this perfume... even more then the original. Its very fresh and classy. Not like a soapy fresh but what you imagine a soft summer day drinking lemonade in the most beautiful garden of fresh flowers. I got a mini bottle from an other purchase got so many compliments wearing it, I gave it to my best friend so she could also test it, thinking I would buy a bigger bottle. Oh dear... its so expensive. I'll buy it but not right now ! I miss my mini bottle ^^... but made my friend so happy.

A cool, powerful fragrance with a decidedly strong character. Platinum perfectly reflects its tone and temperament. This is a scent for a power woman—not in the vein of 1980s floral aldehydes, but modern and minimalist. Clean, feminine, and refined, it radiates feminine strength. Beautiful longevity with an elegant yet pronounced projection and a strong sillage. The DNA of the original is clearly preserved. High quality and a true pleasure to wear.

Creamy, clean, soft and fluffy but also extremely elegant. When I smell it, I imagine it worn by a woman with this unforced confidence and effortless beauty. I think of white and silver when it hits my nose from the wrist, like cool white silk against the skin. It has the Libre DNA but the sweetness is very subtle, somewhere in the background, which makes it my favourite flanker out of the line so far, although I haven't tested all of them yet.

This perfume surprised me. The first Libre in my collection and was a blind buy! (A local store had it on a ridiculous clearance price so I figured I couldn't miss! Loved it so much after first spray - went back and bought the other bottle for that stupidly low price!) I find that this is mostly citrusy on me and dries to a powdery finish with just a squeeze of the citrus. I don't sense the lavender as strongly as others. I absolutely love it!!

On the first spray, it struck me as masculine, but that impression quickly dissipated. Now, it feels like popping open a bottle of champagne; fizzy, effervescent, and icy, with a hint of metallic, silver-like notes. It has a money rich, modern vibe. The lavender remains present throughout, steady and almost therapeutic in the dry-down. Definitely unisex. Like with all Libres, just be careful not to overspray! They can be headache-inducing.

Purchased as soon as I sampled; metallic-scented aldehydes with crushed powdery lavender, sweetened with touches of orange blossom and an ambery vanilla. This is definitely unisex, not sure why it's not marketed as so. Very similar to their MYSLF offerings. Perfect for warm/slightly cool weather, I find aldehyde-forward/aldehyde-dominant scents fall quite flat when it's cold. Leaves a trail and projects well above arms' length on my skin.

Smells like really intense lavender. Very fresh and clean. Other libre flankers all smell like lemon to different degrees for me, so I was surprised with this. I like this quite a lot, it's actually pretty. Lavender is one of the notes I can almost never smell in perfumes. The only negative point is that it smells masculine for my liking, however the insane longevity and silage compensate enough

Absolutely STUNNING lavender, clean, soapy scent!!! It has the tiniest bit of vanilla on the drydown and it has amazing silage and lasting power!!! Very strong so you need a little bit of this!! Such a different and unusual scent so test it first. Definitely NOT a safe blind buy. Such an interesting and elegant twist on the beautiful Libre line!!!! The most different of the line!! Gorgeous!!!!

My first experience with Libre was Libre Intense. Didn't like that one very much, but this one, love love love. I keep going back for whiffs. It's fairly close to the OG, but the aldehydes add a level of complexity and is a clear step up from the OG in my opinion. Yes it gives a little "freshly cleaned glass". But in a good way and it plays well with the rest of the notes in the fragrance.

This has the same Libre dna but with a metallic lavender edge. I know the original Libre dna has a lot of lavender, but this one has that added freshness. Where the original Libre has a warmth, this one has a slight coldness to it. There is an extra sharp, but not screechy, lavender here. But I think this is lovely. This is my second favorite one just behind Libre Intense.

Beautiful. Leans masculine but I love it. Seems like something that could be from Creed. It has that vibe. I usually dislike aldehydes but here they are subtle and fresh, so I don’t mind. It is not heavy. Wait for the drydown, it changes! On skin is more metallic lavender and on hair it is more orange blossom. Similar to the original but much less sweet and less floral.

The dry down just does it for me! At first spray this is an overwhelming lavender/aldehyde beast that I could see giving most folks a headache if it’s oversprayed. However as time passes the wafts of this super clean gem is a great treat to the nose. This gives masculine deodorant vibes but a super chic lady could definitely pull this off. This is an 8/10 for me!

This is a sharp smelling citrusy and lavender scent that feels more masculine than the OG. I was surprised I like it because I only love purely feminine, uncomplicated scents. To me, this gives leather dress in a pastel color. It has some edge, but it is not heavy. I don’t wear it everyday, but it is a nice alternative to my mainly gourmand collection.

I had some experience sniffing and testing our OG Libre and Libre Intense. But this one when I tested it in Sephora, I was like “huh, this isn’t so bad.” I found the OG too cloying and heavy but this one is a bit cleaner and fresher. It does have some laundry detergent aspect but I think it’s more of a luxe detergent, rather than a cheap one.

I love this flanker of Libre. The initial spray smells like the original Libre, and I can smell the fresh citrus and lavender in the top and middle note. Once it dries down, the vanilla, amber, and aldehyde shines through on me. Love! I don't care much for the original libre, but this one morphs into a beautiful and classy scent on me!

Bought this, unsure if I would like it. I am a gourmand kind'a girl 😅, and really like libre le parfum. But much to my surprise, I really really like this. It has the libre dna, but a more fresh/clean/soapy take on it. Definitely office friendly.To my nose, this leans feminine. Sadly, after a couple of hours, it is a skinscent imo

Such a wonderful smelling perfume but the price is just absurd. I feel like I’m paying for the brand name, not the actual fragrance. It lasts moderately long, but does not project at all. The bottle is pretty, but the atomizer is mediocre. Such a wonderful fragrance but it should not be selling for 200 dollars at 90 mL

Hot take: I prefer this to Libre Intense and YSL Myslf Le Parfum. I left a review saying this was identical to YSL Myslf Le Parfum and yes to an extent but there's something sexy about this that I can't put my finger on which I am really loving. I have actually gotten two compliments wearing this as a gent.

This is very clean girl aesthetic. I think this is one you either like it or don't. I personally love it. It's fresh and smells niche. I can see how others may view it as overpowering and a little bit like a bathroom cleaner. I absolutely adore the lavender note in this and how it blends with the citrus.

I love YSL l’absolut. I don’t know what I’m going to do when it becomes unavailable. My taste is clearly uncommon- this is my second signature fragrance that I get constant public compliments on but ended by brand. The other was bvlgari Jasmin Mon Nior (not the current black bottle -the original clear)

I sprayed Libre L'Absolu Platine on my scarf for the first time today. While it's really elegant and beautiful, there honestly isn't much difference between this and the original. On the plus side, longevity is phenomenal and the bottle is stunning.

This is fs my favorite of the libre line! So seductive & sexy, nature, yet she has a fun wild side to her. She a very occasion versital scent. work, wedding, club, date, etc. My 2nd favorite is Le parfum then intense. This whole line is amazing.

Best of The Best! I own Libre edp. Intense, le Parfum and this one. Libre platine is the most unique of the Libre line and I’m 100000% for it!!! Projection and lasting power here is really something. Love this one. Love aldehydes.

As others reviewers said, this is by far the most masculine flanker of the line. This is my Sunday perfume, because it’s clean, fresh and has a kind of cozy and family feeling. Always gets a compliment!

Almond milk lavender latte vibe. I love it! Very cozy yet clean. I feel this fragrance is a lot like Kayali Yum Pistachio Gelato. They could be sisters. not good for blind buying .

Did not expect to like this but I love it. It’s a fresh out of the shower Libre flanker and will be perfect to wear on days that are too warm to handle the rest of the Libre line.

I loved this flanker, I loved that lavender is stronger than the original or intense version. To my nose due to the lavender is more potent. As fan of Libre line is a must have❤️
