Libre L’Eau Nue

This is my favorite of the Libre line. It's the scent of walking through an orange tree orchard after a light summer rain, wafts of lavender and soft florals coming through from neighboring fields. It's fresh, citrusy, clean, light (maybe too light), with a hint of white floral and lavender. It's a gentle scent, that doesn't last as long as it should for the price. I've found myself having to decant and reapply every 4 hours or so (although I am light handed), base notes do stay close to the skin longer, however. And yes, it can leave skin feeling a bit sticky if sprayed on dry skin. To fix that, apply directly after a nice moisturizing lotion and/or body oil. I find it helps lock in the scent for a bit longer, as well prevents any stickiness. Applying to the back of the neck or even the hair also helps to leave a bit of a trail of scent without needing to worry about stickiness. Patiently waiting for inspiration houses to release a similar scent to wear every day. It's a bit too expensive for daily wear since reapplication is necessary so often.

Ooh, la la! This is my favourite of the Libre collection! The original has the Libre allure that is intoxicating but while I do love it there's something sickly about it and it stopped me from purchasing a FB - since my minis are enough. The Platine was gorgeous on paper but on my skin it was too masculine and also a little nauseating so I sold my bottle. But this one is WOW! It absolutely has the Libre DNA and all it's allure but it's softer and has that clean-girl-esthetic scent. I'm not a fan of soapy scents so I'm pleased that it's fleeting. After a minute of soapy it settles into a comforting, warm and luminous scent! If you been searching for a white floral that isn't screechy - this is it! I left the store only to drive right back for a bottle of my own! *** It is oily and looks great on skin but may not be so great on clothes ***

I've received a sample and this is probably the best perfume I have smelled in 2025 I love the citrus so much and how it dries down on me . Usually fruity scents smell every animalic after a while on me but this doesn't. It's scent also reminds me of the Jarritos mandarin soda which I enjoy as well so delicious makes me want to drink the perfume 😂. (I won't do that though my sister and I are planning to buy a full version for ourselves ) I don't agree with the comments saying it smells like dawn dish soap but we all smell thing differently . I can see how it smells like laundry detergent it is probably the lavender note but that's great to me I love smelling laundry detergent and always wanted a perfume that smells like clean clothes.

I love this so so so much!! Thought about it so often since it was launched and finally I found it half off so I got it as a summer present for myself lol Such a beautiful citrusy version of Libre (which happens to be one of my favorite perfume lines ever, I think the only one I didn't like was Platine), perfect for summer!! I also love the alcohol-free formula, it gives a nice glow to the skin as well. Still testing out the longevity but so far it seems okay, I love the scent and formula so much so I really don't even mind reapplying this one.

Smells nice and a little lighter vibes than the OG. Not worth having both or multiple of the flankers IMO. *Future me edit* I do think this one is worth having alongside the OG. Where the OG is sultry and a little denser this almost reminds me of DG Light Blue intense. Its notes shine and it stays light but it is something. It has substance and it smells clean but not laundry detergent. OG for the fall. And Nue for the spring/summer

this shit is SOOOOO yummy to me it smells like sweet gingery orange biscuits?? very buttery smell i think i like that it’s oily but it doesn’t last too long maybe like 3 hours tops, i got this as a tester and i love it so much probably gonna buy a bigger bottle. it’s very intimate but i like that cos with sweeter scents people can find it a bit too much but i love them so it’s only for me yay!

I really like this Libre flanker! It is Libre DNA streamlined and with added citrus notes; having lavender be the base notes instead of woods/ambergris/musk really allows both the lavender and the orange blossom to shine. Atomizer on the bottle is fantastic. Good projection and lasts all day on clothes. No sweat smell to me and I don't notice any particularly meaningful stickiness.

As someone who had been wanting a lighter version of Libre EDP but didn't like the tea notes in Libre EDT, this fragrance is pretty much perfect. Despite not being alcohol-based it has lasted quite a while, though the silage is a just bit too weak for my tastes. I think that this may be a fantastic fragrance to layer with, so I'll have to run a few tests to see what works!

This is basically what I hoped the EDT would be like; it’s got noticeable lavender and citrus notes up front, but it’s not nearly as sweet as the EDP or Libre Intense. It is easier to wear in warmer weather though. While I’d still choose the original EDP over this in a heartbeat, I’d still recommend this to lavender and citrus lovers.

Beautiful, clean, white floral citrus scent. Surprisingly has very good lasting power given that it’s an oil-in-water based fragrance. The scent reminds me very much of Creed Love in White. It’s a clean, white dress, white shirt, fresh laundryish kinda perfume. My favorite in the Libre line.

Beautiful fresh scent, I get a honeysuckle note which is odd bc it doesn’t have that, but a great spring wear. Good for summer too but I go for tropical sunscreen scents in the summer. This would be good for the office too, very light. Only complaint Is that it has zero longevity.

this smells of summer in Greece - the promise of warm days by the Aegean, and endless nights walking through the cobblestone streets as laughter and chatter and clinking of glasses whisper from the buildings you pass by - the euphoric and magical feeling of it all

Beautiful, I love it better than the original. However - the original lasts longer. The longevity of this is poor. I will use it to compliment my Zara dupe of Libre, which has better staying power than this.

okay — this is beautiful. I don’t like the OG Libre because of how intense the lavender is but i smell the citrus’ more than the lavender in this flanker. I’m Definitely a fan of this.

Love how strong the citrus/orange blossom notes are. I feel like a sophisticated tangerine. I honestly am not getting any lavender from this though, which is a shame.

Really pleasant. Smells more sophisticated than some other Libre offerings. Worth a sniff.

I received a complementary sample of this fragrance. Please understand that I don't like the original Libre on myself. It's very masculine and perfumey and smells far better on others. However, I was not going to turn down a sample. If you're a Glossier fan, you may be familiar with their body care line-- the Body Hero oil and cream have an orange blossom neroli scent that they've never made into a perfume despite the demand from their core customers. I love the body care line and think they smell fantastic. YSL Libre L'Eau Nue smells like the perfume we've been asking for. It smells like a more expensive, more dimensional body hero oil. And since the perfume doesn't have any alcohol, it applies like a body oil as if to perfect my Glossier body routine. I was very pleasantly surprised by this scent. The powdery orange blossom is very sunshiny and warm for daytime wear. The lavender isn't masculine in this and reminds me of the lavender scent used in baby products instead of mens' fragrance. It's all around a very comforting scent and appropriate for the office due to it's moderate sillage and soft note composition. I could see myself purchasing this as a travel size, but it's not loud enough for my taste and I won't be going full size on this one. #GiftedbyYSLBeauty

Green mandarin is my very favorite citrus note, and I own some essential oil. And you know...I love to blend it with lavender too. I didn't expect to test this today at Ulta, but I'm glad I did. The mandarin smells almost exactly like my essential oil, and I can honestly say I'd recognize it even without it being listed in the notes...it's so accurate (and it just happens to be something I'm super familiar with). It says specifically *green* mandarin in the store listing, so I'm going off that. It has some resemblance to the original, but this is lighter, fresher, and somehow less unisex (who cares though wear what you love regardless of gender). It's that newschool, cleaned up, non-green type of orange blossom...very designer, very easy on the nose, nothing planty. It's followed by white laundry musk, which is a hallmark for GenZ's wave of perfume at this point. I really like it and think this would be a great easy reach, especially for corporate summers.

It’s a nice, orange blossomy laundry detergent - but not in a bad way. Drydown is when lavender starts to kick in. When I compared it to my review of original Libre I can see there are definitely a lot of similarities. One thing that’s different about this is it’s lighter, almost softer. Original Libre has a sharpness about it that this lacks. I feel like this one is a little safer in most environments, for example if you like the original Libre but it’s a little too strong for your work environment, this one is similar, friendlier, not as potent. For comparison this was how I described original Libre - “Dryer sheet/laundry detergent isle to start (lavender?) then more of a sweet floral (jasmine, orange blossom) dryer sheet/detergent, then woody powdery soft detergent *Edited -I think my first sample is old, it’s a golden brown color, new sample is clear. Second try - nice clean orange blossom white floral.”

Bought this thinking it was the regular Libre, but I'm definitely not disappointed! It has a decent longevity on the skin for me with moderate sillage, especially in those first few hours. Since it doesn't have alcohol, I put some in my hair, and it held on well. Same with my clothes! I got some on my sweatshirt when I first tried it, and I could still smell it the next day. As for the smell, I usually like STRONG, bright floral scents, but I think it is a safe, inoffensive option for work or school. I personally don't smell much citrus. I smell clean, bright florals with a hit of sweetness and warmth. The dry down is definitely a bit slower than my perfumes with alcohol, but it didn't leave an oily or tacky feeling after a few minutes, like other alcohol-free perfumes. The atomizer shoots out like a water gun, which I don't love, but, again, it dries down decently quickly, so it's not a huge deal for me.

Because I love Flowers and Flames so much, I procured a sample of L’Eau. I was curious. Lovely scent, I like the nourishing, almost serum-like suspension. Like I do with the Amber oil perfume from Nemat, I take a bit of this between my hands then rub them over my arms, underneath my ears with my fingertips and then comb the rest through my hair with my fingers. I feel that’s how this should be applied, as it seems like spraying this formulation on your pulse points alone (as there’s no alcohol to help it disperse) won’t allow the fragrance to fully unfold. And certainly don’t spray this on your clothes, it’ll leave oily spots! I do like this, but it’s unfortunately much too fleeting a scent to warrant the price of purchasing a fb. A real shame it doesn’t last longer. For now, I’m layering what remains of my sample with the F&F flanker, as the resulting fragrance is truly sublime!

I picked this up as I was intrigued by the format. I already have a non-alcohol fragrance so its nothing ground-breaking in my collection. To me it does smell similar to the original. I like the idea of the oil-based formula as this tends to last a lot longer on my skin than most other traditional scents. There is a heavy-hitting citrus going on here, it reminded me of 'Soft, Al-Rehab' scent oil i got last year which i really like, a bit like a citronella candle. I still get a bit of the drama of the original but the citrus is what sticks. Im glad i picked it up at a good sale price. definitely not work safe, though a summer scent for sure! be careful spraying it on clothes as it might stain some fabrics.

Very similar to the original (of course). It leaves the skin slightly oily (perhaps it contains oil to aid in fixation, given that it does not include alcohol). I have seen some people complain about its staying power and projection, but on me it adhered and projected very well! I found it quite interesting: creamy, good for daytime use, perfect for summertime. Good one!👍 EDIT: It's an oil-water based formula, also formulated with ingredients such as glycerin and citric acid. It contributes to maintaining skin looking smooth and hydrated, whilst the olfactory notes reinforce the freshness and luminosity of the fragrance, for a unique sensory experience. Can be applied on hair as well.

The fragrance smells beautiful — a light, fresh, seductive scent perfect for summer. BUT... The atomizer is nothing special, the perfume feels a bit sticky, and out of all the designer fragrances I own, this one probably has the weakest longevity. After about fifteen minutes, I already feel the need to reapply — and I don't hold back on the first spray. The scent itself is gorgeous, but for this price, I expected better performance. I know it's a light fragrance, and I’m not expecting it to last half a day, but at least two hours would have been nice. It’s my first YSL, so I hope I’ll have better luck next time.

I know it's a skin scent, but I can't wear it on my skin because it turns into sweet vanilla smell too quickly. If I smell all the notes at the same time, it's pleasant, otherwise there's too much lavender and too little orange blossom and citrus for me, there's too much sweet vanilla. Update. I like it. I spray it on a piece of cotton (leaves a stain on clothes) and it has a very pleasant creamy scent, kind of like Nivea. It disappears quickly on the skin, but the scent lasts for a day on textiles. It is sticky on the skin, but only for the first few minutes, then it's gone.

I'm not much of a Libre fan but found myself with a full bottle of this. I enjoyed how this was much lighter, with a transparency and sweetness compared to the original. It also is not too strong nor screechy like the original can be. I was surprised to enjoy this scent and find the longevity and projection were still good. Ultimately, it's still not my favorite scent profile, so I gave this to my SIL who prefers floral fragrances. If I had not been cutting down my fragrances ahead of an international move, I probably would have kept this.

YSL has a knack for calling something “breakthrough, unique, never done before” and then serving you the most average product ever :) The sales person at their masterclass today was trying to sell this as this “very unique perfume with zero alcohol, which has almost never been done before”. Ehm, I beg to differ. You’re pretending like there never has been any Arabic perfume, to say the least. This perfume is boring, for what it is and its price tag.

I like this scent, however for me it’s not for hot weather. On me it’s a bit citrusy, a bit sweet and very much lavender. Like Provence (and not Greece). What I really don’t like about it that it’s sticky. I apply it and I feel my skin dirty due to its stickyness. I cannot even touch the skin I’ve applied it on as my fingers will be sticky as well. 😝 I don’t even dare to spray it on my clothes - I’m afraid it’ll ruin them.

I absolutely love it! It's my favorite from the collection (I imagine this will be an unpopular opinion🤣) It's fresh and citrusy, yet still has that signature Libre vibe. Super light and close to the skin. Definitely better for spraying directly on skin rather than clothes, as it’s a bit oily and thick. For those of you worried about a headache: I can see that happening, even though I thoroughly enjoy this.

Oh, wow, the opening of Nue is so beautiful 😍 ! Strong orange blossom, yet not too heavy. I did not expect thia from the Libre line. Now, an hour or so later, it has gone more citrusy and lavendery with the blossom hint in the back. While I love the opening, how it develops later might not justify the price point – I have had some equally wonderful orange blossoms from catalogue lotions.

A straight out the shower and into bed scent without being to much not don’t get me wrong I love a heavy hitter but this is just perfect for when it’s time to wind down I will say it can come off a tad powdery but still very pretty. It’s nice Would I purchase again ??? Probably not only because I wouldn’t wear it in the day as it’s to light for my liking But really stunning bottle

This smells good ! The longevity however, is very minimal. I somehow was expecting this to project and last more due to its oil base. It's the usual Libre DNA with a brighter more citrusy opening so it's nothing innovative. I did enjoy rubbing this into my skin, as it just gives this feeling of luxury but I understand how many wouldn't enjoy that from a fragrance flanker.

I just tried this at Sephora and I really want to like it...I liked the initial spray, but for about half an hour it got weird and funky on my skin. Then I loved the dry down but an hour and a half in, it’s fading 😕 Really on the fence with it. At its best moments it smells like a summer on the Riviera and at its worst it smells like rotten lemons

I tried this out in the store today while buying Libra Le Parfum. It reminded me a lot of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, which is maybe my favorite fragrance. Very clean and classy. I may have purchased this if I weren’t specifically looking for a sensual evening scent. Unfortunately, not unlike NP, it doesn’t last very long on the skin.

I like it, but it's probably my least favorite Libre. It's more petitgrain forward than lavender, very stripped down to where Libre is barely filtering through the musky clean laundry scent. It lasts pretty well for the kind of scent it is. But for a lighter Libre, the EDT or the Platine are better.

Very soft version of the original, but so soft , I can barely smell it. It's light and fleeting, but I enjoy it. The orange blossom is very toned down, soft white florals with little lavender whiffs. It's Libre DNA, wearable for those who found the original too strong.

Yes it still has the DNA of libre and all flankers it’s alcohol free and supposedly made for skin and hair. When I tried it on my hand the texture is like serum. I will definitely be adding it to my collection. It’s more of bed scent or your hair

If you expect it to be as much of a flop as Dior Sauvage Eau Forte, this is not comparable to Sauvage Eau Forte. This is super well done and doesn't at all smell like moldy swamp water. Instead, you get this super nice and fun citrus experience!

It's a nice smell, citrus white flower. I was not impressed to be honest. It hasn't surpassed Libre intense to me. It's good but not amazing. I don't really get the lavender. Dry down is okay.

Smells like any other libre perfume, sweet, intense, milky, flowery. I love it but if you already have an original or any other flanker, it is not worth to buy this one.

This smells like perfume I take with me on vacation! Like I should be going to the Mediterranean!

I love the super rich, fresh, clean aroma, but even though it's in oil, it doesn't last at all.

On paper, this was the gorgeous citrus orange blossom I craved for summer. I immediately ordered a 10 ml travel size. It hadn’t occurred to me that a nonalcoholic, oil & water formula like this, might be quite different on skin - and it is quite different. On first spray, the mist is not fine, but leaves a water substance on the skin that you want to spread. The scent itself is less lemon with a sharper orange blossom on a thin bed of lavender. I could smell it for the next 4 hours, but I don’t believe it projected at all. But - is it fresh and pretty for summer heat? Yes, it is. However, if you’re like me - with many pretty but poor preforming summer scents, you may want to skip this one. I will use my travel to layer with other fresh lavender floral perfumes. But will not purchase a FB. EDIT: Something else to consider - especially if you have a large perfume wardrobe: I’m told that these non alcohol perfumes with the oil water formula may only last a year after being opened.

I just received this as a sample and I have mixed feelings. I really like the oil consistency, and I think it would be nice in the hair but I haven’t tried it that way yet. It’s very Libre and if you like that, you’d be happier this this, but I only have liked Libre Platine and even then it wasn’t really for me. The L’eau Nue is sometimes alluring to my senses in an orange blossom and sweet lavender scent but then sometimes leaves me thinking about bathroom air fresheners. It’s not crisp enough for me, too sweet and leans toward headache and nausea inducing for me, which happens to me with certain scents. I am overall in the middle, I can see someone really loving it but that someone isn’t me.

This is a nice enough citrus/lavender, but somehow feels very dated to me, despite only coming out this year. The first whiff I got, I could swear I remember my grandma wearing it in the 90s/early 00s. She was a classy lady, so that's not necessarily a bad thing! Just not quite my vibe. After it's sat on my skin a while, I also get a kind of stale Halloween candy smell, like dried-out Skittles. Something about it is definitely throwing me back to childhood...I could see it being light and refreshing in summer, but right now it just smells kind of sticky and boring.

Easily my least favorite Libre flanker. I'm glad I only got a travel size of this one. The Libre DNA is there but the infusion of mandarin and lemon is cloying. The saving grace is that it doesn't last long. Took this on vacation to Paris -- very hot weather and you'd think it would lend itself to that. Wore it out for 2 days just to make sure I wasn't making a snap judgment. Never touched it again. It just doesn't agree with me and it pains me to say that as someone who genuinely loves the Libre line.

My local Boots had an advertising stand for this, also featuring the original Libre, so I sprayed a bit of one on each wrist. The first thing I noted with the Eau Nue was the noticeable patch on my skin, which took a minute or so to dry. My impression was it is sweeter, softer and smokier (and more orangey) than the original. But 2 hours later, it had literally vanished, whereas Libre is still going strong 4 hours on. I genuinely don't see the point in this one!

Tested it yesterday and it's nothing to write home about. The notes are very simple and it smells exactly like what you could imagine. Simple. Straight forward. I feel like the audience for this is composed of people who enjoyed skin scents, and maybe loved the Libre DNA but find it too strong. I don't expect a lot of longevity or sillage given that it is alcohol free, but it is a nice option for people with sensitive skin.
