Manifesto l'Elixir

What can i say about this one? Perhaps this is what the 5th Dimension smells like! Or a heavenly being. People here saying it smells similar to dior addict now i cannot remember how that smelt because it slipped by me in its original formulation as i was too young to have owned or tested it back then. But the current dior addict dosent smell anything like this to my nose. Dior has this harsh dry green note with a night blooming flower that smells very wierd to my nose. Theres nothing wierd about this one. This is just straight up heavenly! Dior is not nearly as thick rich creamy royal and opulent and just so deep and beautiful smelling. Atleast not the new formulation. Manifesto elixir is got this dark vanilla with thick jasmine not thin airy jasmine. Its got this cashmeran wood soft sandalwoody smoothness with vanilla smelling like vanilla extracted from a pod melting in sweet jasmine petal nectar with warm smooth thick amber with a slight slight dusting of powder. This powder isnt dry or dusty or baby powder like but its this ever so slightly soft white fresh fresh powder that does not irritate the nose. Its a beast this one 12 hrs plus lasts on clothes for 24 hours performs for the full 12. This is the best vanilla and ysl made it and discontinued it. No dupes come close nothing does to this vanilla. Perhaps except thierry muglers alien essence absolue another thick deep vanilla with jasmine and resinous amber. Another one which is in the same courtyard is jpg classique essence. However this one is the very best of the best. It brings sadness to my heart that it dosent exist anymore. The trinity of perfume notes for me is jasmine, vanilla and amber and this one does it best, followed by tm alien absolue and 3rd spot to jpg classique essence all discontinued. Because theyre all flankers. Its not childish with a sickeningly sweet vanilla or gourmandy with that caramel toffee note in most now. No this is a PERFUME. IT DOES NOT SMELL LIKE FOOD AS IT SHOULDNT. Its just a masterpiece. Yet to come across someone who dosent like it. Even the ones who dont like perfume like this one. Its intoxicating in its own way without trying to seduce of hypnotise. It does on its very own. No one can hate this one even if they dont like the notes when they smell this one they have no problem smelling it. Except the ones with ambroxan sensitivity but even to those this will rarely cause a problem. This will perhaps be the best perfume that has ever existed for women to me and at best someone can come close to it but this one cant be beaten its the top of the charts. Its that one vanilla smell i can never forget.

Why do they always discontinue the best fragrances? I've never smelled YSL Manifesto or any of the other flankers. I generally don't have much success with mainstream department store brands (casting my eyes upon a whole slew of blind buys that didn't go well over the past few months). Who knows why I would seek out a discontinued fragrance, several years later, and blind buy it? Well, I guess because of the way Manifesto L'Elixir is being described and reviewed online. I do appreciate fragrances with good longevity and sillage and I do love a good "grown up vanilla," so next thing I knew I was buying this and hoping for the best. I've been wearing Manifesto L'Elixir for a few days and I gotta say it's a LOVE. It is citrusy-vanilla at the start. Once it dries down it becomes a floral-amber-vanilla and it's really quite nice. It's not a gourmand but it definitely leans in that direction (this 'edge of gourmand' territory is my favorite, it's sweet but not toothachingly so). Manifesto L'Elixir is a great vanilla-focused fragrance that seems modern but not juvenile. It keeps reminding me of something else that I can't quite pinpoint. I'll come back and update if I figure that out. I'm so happy to have this, it's really delicious, sweet and present. Keep in mind this is not a niche vanilla, there's zero resemblance to those types of scents (i.e., SL Un Bois Vanille, Diptyque Eau Duelle, Goutal Nuit et Confidences). Manifesto is very much a major department store brand type of floral-ambery-vanilla. Nevertheless, this is very well done. Just wish YSL wouldn't have discontinued this beauty. UPDATE: just finished this review and walked away and then it popped into my head what Manifesto L'Elixir reminds me of -- Boucheron Trouble! Trouble is another discontinued gem that I used to adore. And PS: when full, the bottle is not purple. The juice turns a dark amber color and it overall looks brown. I think it will look purple as it empties. It’s not an attractive bottle at all but it smells divine. Also the longevity and sillage are moderate on me, definitely not huge nor especially long lasting. Maybe because the bottle is at least a few years old since it’s been discontinued? Certainly not a bomb on me at all. Decent, moderate, but not super long lasting.

I'm a bit on and off with this frag. I think it is wonderful and more interesting than many others I've tried out lately. Yet there is something that makes me hesitant to buy it, even though I'm smelling my wrist all the time when I test it (because I think it's good). I can't explain it. Something about this perfume just doesn't make me feel like myself when wearing it. I guess I subconsciously feel to "loud" when I have it on. Yet I have to admit that it's a beautiful vanilla when it settles - it might feel synthetic in the beginning to some people, but it's a less heavy vanilla than others I've tried. Even though they are not the same at all, my thoughts goes to Alien EdT by Thierry Mugler when I smell this (because it has this strange but pleasant vibe to it, and I can somehow smell a hint of mint in here even though it's not in the notes). To me l'Elixir is cooler than Alien as I think Alien is warmer in the dry down (but I will stop this comparison now, because they are not the same but IMO it's the closest to it that I know of). On me YSL Manifesto l'Elixir is a fresh, green vanilla. The SA told me that if you buy this and hit the town, you will get noticed by men (seemed like she got complimented a lot wearing this and she loved it). This may be something I decide to add to my collection at some point, because it does go well with my body chemistry, but for now I'll just keep spraying it on myself in the store to get used to it. I do see why people like this fragrance, it is really well done! UPDATE: I needed to say that I own this and I love this stuff. A great vanilla for Fall/Winter, but I admit that I wore it this Summer too and it worked like magic! :) Go for it girls!

So gutted that they have DISCONTINUED this MASTERPIECE. (Just checked my last review on this...where I've mentioned that this WAS my signature...which was on 03/2019.) Unfortunately, the OG Manifesto is just a shadow of it. In fact, I find the OG a rather safe woody base-fragrance (good for layering) and over all a quite boring fume. SO MY SEARCH FOR A NEW SIGNATURE BEGAN... D&G The only one Intense (black bottle) is pretty - but different to Manifesto L'Elixir. Even though it has coconut in it (which I usually not like), it is very classy! A bit nutty, creamy white floral vanilla. Plus it has a fresh/sweet green tone (apple) to it, which Is very uplifting. And it has good projection. This quickly became a favourite - but not my new Love. Dior Addict edp (2014-Version). Is also quite different to Manifesto L'Elixir (and very different to D&G) . A very classic luxe perfume with great projection. It is def. mature but also seductive. It has this white floral, heavy vanilla-creamyness (but is also balmy/powdery and bit oriental spicy). Plus the opening with its zesty orange (green orange leaves) tone to it makes this very modern. To me it screams: classy and luxurious. And that was what I was looking for. So far my search has ended... ;) But been checking in for other comments here which I find very interesting. XoXo

Can you Imagine using a very expensive luxurious handcream and then dip your hands in pure bourbon vanilla?? THIS IS HOW IT SMELLS like. Very luxurious and for a woman with self-confidence. Just 1h after spraying YOU'RE IN HEAVEN. This drydown is exceptional + MAGNIFICENT. It is nothing like the original in my opinion. the original it is more woody and rather weak. I own it as well and I like it but it's not a love. This manifesto l'elixir is so well done, yet simple and very confident! - A pure, creamy, clean bourbon vanilla gem. - And it lasts!! This juce stays at least 20h on me + even longer on my clothes... So, if you love vanilla and you want something non-sugary-sweet that stays right where you want a perfume to be, this is the one for you! I hope I will live my Life with this beauty for ever and that it will still be sold when I get old. :)^^ Edit: I have to say, that I had to get through the initial overwhelming hour with a headache when I first used it (I guess the heliotrope-tuberose-combo is a bomb for some). But it grew on me and I kind of 'understood' how this beauty works and how it turns on me. And bc this drydown...ohh...!! L'elixir is my signature and pure LOVE. Edit2: I get compliments EVERY time I wear this.

I’ve reviewed this before, but it deserves another one. This is such a beauty. The perfect blend of gourmand deliciousnouss (a fabulous interpretation of vanilla - thick, creamy, almost marshmallow-like at times...totally blows those frivolous, cotton-candy celeb fragrances out of the water). But here also is a beautiful, mellow yet somehow still intense (?!) floral in the form of dreamy heliotrope. So classy, sexy, soothing. I had this down as a cold-weather fragrance (vanilla can be cloying in warm weather)... but NO. It was hot and humid in London today (unbelievably!) and this was so, so good. A tiny hint of citrusy freshness at first spritz, then a lusciously long, delightfulfuly floral/gourmand drydown with a very light and extremely pleasing powderiness that keeps the whole thing clean and oh so feminine. Sillage moderate-strong, longevity is insane. Four sprays at 7.30am, still feel it’s lovely presence 12 hours later. Do you rate YSL Cinema? This is her slightly more glamorous, less restrained sister. Cinema drinks champagne and whispers sensual words in her lover’s ear...Manifesto L’Elixir tops up that glass of fizz with a shot of brandy and takes her man to the bedroom... Love.

Smells Like the vintage high end Heliotrope scented body powder and baby products from way back when. In summary, smells like really nice baby powder. It's nice. Perfect for just out of shower or when you want to feel cool. This scent of this perfüme has a very "Cooling & Soothing" effect on me. P.S. This Parfüme {Elixir} is difficult to find in stores. But, can be found online for roughly $80. -$135. excluding the $25. shipping charge for an 1.7 ounce bottle. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~OR~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *You can purchase ARMAF Katarina Light Blüe 3.4 ounce bottle for around $20 {$16 on FragranceNet, FragranceX}. It's a 99% match. The only difference is Katarina Light Blüe is a bit stronger, has better siliage, Projection is beastly, but pleasant, and Longevity is unbelievably long. Twice the perfume for about one fifth of the price. Perfume doesn't typically last too long on me. So, a pleasant surprise. Manifesto L'Elixir was recommended to me on the forum. Before that, I always overlooked the Manifesto line, the name, notes and bottles just didn't speak to me, it always seemed a little boring and I'm not a fan of purple stuff. What a mistake, this is such a beauty! I tried L'Elixir and the original Manifesto now, and I like L'Elixir more. They have similarities, but as the name suggests, L'Elixir is the sweeter, richer, warmer version. Reminds me of Dior Addict a bit, but it's not as heady. There is some of the greenness from Manifesto EDP in this, but not as much. It's mainly an ultra creamy, balmy, deep vanilla that just melts into your skin and gives a warm cashmere aura. My nose doesn't pick up any specific flowers, but this has the trinity of bergamot, intoxicating white florals and dark, spicy vanilla that always comes off as sensual and sexy to me in fragrances. Luckily I don't get much ambroxan from this, more amber. Overall, Manifesto L'Elixir smells like a well-blended whole that is more than the sum of its parts.

I just picked up my bottle of this gorgeous fume today after I tested it 3 times before... and WOW, this is such an amazingly good smelling fragrance!!! This is not too linear a scent, it develops really nice! In the opening it almost smells a little bit 'green' to me which must be caused by the bergamot and mandarin. Then slowly but certainly the scent becomes sweeter, the citrus notes disappear and the vanilla is becoming the star of the show here with some noticeable almondy aspects from the heliotrope. In the late dry down it even brings hints of caramel to my nose, I know it's not listed but I definitely detect some caramel sweetness. It's not a bland vanilla fragrance, there's much more to it in my opinion. It never gets too sweet, it surrounds you with a cozy, seductive and warm embrace... Longevity is absolutely fantastic and sillage is there without being offending. It's just perfect for me! Definitely will be one of my new favorites of all times and will repurchase when I run out! Great job YSL!! ♥♥♥♥♥

Did not care for the original Manifesto, but this one...OMG...heaven! I've tested it a few times now and every time I fall more deeply in love. It's just so SMOOTH. Creamy, yummi, smooth, sweet, deliciousness. This one time, after tesing it at the department store I went to a hot yoga class a few hours later. The whole time during that class I kept getting whiffs of this ahhhmaaaazing fragrance. It was so good, it kept breaking my concentration as I was constantly wondering where it could possibly be coming from. I smelled the towel, thinking it might be some magic fabric softener smell, but no, not that. Then I remembered! Manifesto l'elixir! It's a pretty strong one to begin with, so you can imagine how amplified the smell got in the heat and humidity of the hot yoga room. I'm surprised none of my fellow students mentioned anything after the class :) Long story short, I'm starting to obsess over Manifesto l'elixir. I feel like I need my skin to smell like that. Like all the time. :)

I discovered the Manifesto line of YSL a bit too late and by that time, this gorgeous masterpiece was already discontinued. So I had to pay almost 3 times the original price to get my hands on a bottle and I don't regret it because it became one of my favorite perfumes ever! 😍❤️ Manifesto Elixir opens with a citrus scent with a balsamic vanilla at the background which quickly become the dominant note in the perfume. The floral notes blends very well with this non-sweet vanilla and the heliotrope and the cashmere notes keep it very cozy, warm and sexy throughout the entire time. It is somewhat similar to the original EDP minus the green note. But this is more intense and you have to be careful about how much you spray, especially if you wear it indoors. It lasts on me 6~7 hrs, with strong projection in the first few hours. I only wear it for special occasions because I'm scared I will run out of it and whenever I wear it, it makes me feel classy, confident, beautiful and sexy 😘😎

My favorite in the Manifesto line and one of my all time favorite vanilla perfumes. One of the few scents that consistently and automatically makes my eyes roll back in my head thinking just "YES!" It's a sweet, slightly deep vanilla with amber, I get some tonka, some powder (less powder than the original though), a hint of florals - I can't pick out specific flowers, it's just incredibly beautiful, imho. The bottle is really lovely too. I'd wear this to work (like 1 spray on a cold day though), on lazy weekend days (because why the hell not?), though it's probably most appropriate for a bougie night out on the town. It's comforting and elegant, rich and effortless - which isn't a vibe you find in many perfumes. For me this is a cool weather perfume only. It has decent lasting power 5-7 hours. The first couple hours it has very strong projection too (like you'll fill an elevator and leave a scent trail everywhere you go).

Lately, I take my time to choose a perfume. Since I love wearing another one every time, it has happened that I got a fragrance too hastily, figuring out soon enought that I didn't actually like it so much. So, lately I do my research, sniff this, sniff that, and buy it only when it's love at first sniff. I love them long lasting and heavy. I'm a fan of Yves Saint Laurent, ever since I had to have Nu, years ago. This time, I was clueless againg, trying out many perfumes. Wasn't too sure about any and then BANG! YSL Manifesto l'Elixir Intense. They made another one for me! :-) On me, it's just like it says: "opening with sour citrus blend of bergamot and mandarin. The combination of Arabian Sambac jasmine, heliotrope and tuberose absolute in the heart leads to the warm base of cashmere, vanilla and ambergris (ambroxan)." I'd add: sexy, ladylike, feminine, elegant. Plus, I love Jessica Chastain and think it's a dream match.

This one is just...amazing. It is a better version of the initial Manifesto, but it's deeper and longer lasting. It's perfect for the winter, I find it too strong to wear it during the summer, but I guess it works also for the cold autumn nights. I got lots of compliments from men and women when I had this one on my skin and it blends well with my personality. It is sexy in a mature way, not the young-playful kind of way, but something more like "I am a woman with a strong personality and I am not here to play childish games". Even if it may seem to strong at the beginning, after one hour it's starting to smell softer but it's not losing the strenght of the notes, it's only getting deeper and like an invite to a conversation about serious things. I advice not to wear this with your sneakers and a sweater, it works at it's best when the clothes are also serious - maybe a pencil skirt with stilettos or a little black dress.

Here's the review after the angry rant: This is a beautiful, balmy vanilla with the same blackcurrant accord in the og manifesto. The balmy vanilla almost has a leathery and buttery quality to it. And the currant is bitter. But this is 10x more stunning than the og. Do not fear reading reviews that says this smells like celery - it does not. It does smell slightly bitter and green, just as the original does, but far less green. It has a soft, but very present dry down of vanilla balm, cashmeran and some type of wood (sandalwood? cedar?). In the deeepest part of the dry down, a soft ambroxan lingers. Nothing like the ambroxan in the likes of Dior Sauvage (yuck). There's nothing mineralic in this ambroxan - it's more like a deeper amber than anything. It moves when you move. Dances when you dance. Becomes brighter when you sweat. What a bloody gorgeous creation this is!!

This is one of my favourite vanillas! It is strong and powdery and delicately flowery! It lasts all day and a bit and leaves a gorgeous trail. Not overly sweet, just very comfortably warm. I prefer it to the original Manifesto, as the original lacks depth and is a bit mainstream smelling, whereas this has a lot of intriguing facets that I discover. I hope this never gets discontinued. Very cozy, warm, maybe a touch of sexy. I believe this is close to a parfum extrait concentration as it is quite strong. If you like Alien Essence Absolue, try this. It is cleaner, more powdery, no dirty jasmin vanilla. On a side note, as an ambroxan-hater (I honestly can't stand it) I cannot really detect it here, however I do have an older bottle so it may have changed! If you like delicate and light fragrances, do not get it!

To me it’s a completely different fragrance compared to the original Manifesto. They share vanilla drydown but projection is totally different. Manifesto is a late winter - early spring (March) fragrance for me, while Manifesto l’Elixir is a winter or evening scent. At first - floral; sickly heliotrope. Drydown - a wonderful sweet vanilla. I can also smell tonka bean which I looooooove ! The drydown reminds me of Hypnotic Poison which is one of my favourite perfumes. However, depending on the day, Manifesto Elixir can be overwhelming and sickly. I love it for it's vanilla drydown, but after opening and keeping it in the bathroom (I know!) for about a year, tuberose became more pronounced and longer lasting and I’m not a fan! The scent is elegant, but in my opinion not to wear to work everyday.

I fully agree with amanda, the original Manifesto is sharp and not so memorable for me, but this one! OMG, it screams sexy! I tried it years ago when it appeared and loved it, but somehow I never ended up buying it until the other days when I heard it might be discontinued. After doing my research on the reviews here and the prices, I went ahead and ordered it. The day the package arrived I was at work, but was dying to trying it out. Very sweet and gourmand, 2 sprays and I was way too sexy for the office :)) It is strong and long lasting, allow me to say it is similar to Alien (NOT the scent itself, but the overall vibe), but is not cloying and headache inducing (Alien does that to me). Perfect for winter and fall dates and with the right amount of sprays, you will be remarkable!

An outrageously feminine blend of equal parts strong Arabian jasmine and intense Bourbon vanilla, with cashmere wood and citrus mixed in for blending. Thankfully I can't smell the tuberose that kills my sinuses in Hypnotic Poison. I watched every woman in the French department store I was in pick up a bottle of this, figured they knew something I didn't, and grabbed one. They did. If the words "unisex", "clean", "oceany", or "fresh" are on your favorite perfume, you won't like this, it's very feminine and sexy, but it's actually not too strong, you do need to reapply at some point. But you wouldn't want this fragrance to have intense throw, it would be too much. It's perfect as it is. Not a fan of the green-ness in the original. It smells like grass and vanilla. :P

Ok, so my mom bought this for herself and I really had no patience to try and compare it to the original Manifesto. As i see the comments, i will definitely join you guys about the mass opinion. This is undoubtedly the better Manifesto. It's improved, softer and sweeter. I really loved the first of the line, but after i smelled this one - the other one just started fading away. And even began thinking on what actually did I adore about it...there were notes that made my head ache at times. L'Elixir is way more generous about it. At first you really think "it's just the same", but meanwhile you come to a realization it's not quite like that. I'm putting Manifesto out of the chart and replacing it with his "cousin" :)

Why did they discontinue this?! :( I used to wear this when I was about 20 years old and clubbing every weekend (that was approx 13 years ago now...wow...) It made me feel like THAT girl. I don’t understand some of the reviews saying it’s for a mature woman because I think it’s just plain sexy and sophisticated. I still have a little bit left and it has lasted an absolute treat. Smells exactly the same and when I smell the lid, it takes me back to those days dancing the night away in a tight mini dress with sky high heels and hair ... while fast forward to now and swap that for fluffy socks and night gown on a Saturday night haha. I miss the sophistication yet simplicity of these types of perfumes.

Got this as a gift for my birthday and it was a total surprise because I did not even mention it or tried it before, ever. When first spraying it I initially thought it might be too sweet for my liking but on skin it is absolutely gorgeous! On me it is sweet, grown up vanilla with some floral and woody notes wafting in and out, which I adore. On top of the beautiful scent it is also really long lasting. I sprayed it on in the morning and when I waved my colleagues goodbye this evening one of them standing closer to me commented on how great I smell and asked what perfume it is I'm using :) Winner! Although wearing it to work today I will save this little beauty for going out and special occasions.

This flabker smells like the original to me. I just happened to get a fresher bottle of this so I returned the original because it was starting to smell old. But I remember dousing myself in the airport with the original and my bottle smells the same as elixir but stale. So I would recommend Katarina light blue by Armafs enchanted line. $20 for a huge bottle. I've inad it for 5 years, and it says it expired in June 2025. Not true. Still smelling exactly like a fresh bottle of manifesto. Or elixir or whatever. I scored with that brand. I oughta try armaf again for any outrageously expensive or impossible to find scent

I get that designers need to be mass appealing to the majority. But a designer fragrance is still between $85-$125 right? And in some cases, even pricier. WHY THEN DO THEY DISCONTINUE THE CRÈME OF THE CROP, AND KEEP REITERATING GOD AWFUL VARIATIONS OF MON PARIS?! I get that you need to appeal to the younger crowd but, hey idiots up top. Us 30 something and upwards? Yeah that’s where the big money is at!! Cater to us than the teenagers who have to decide between food or a new perfume?? (Been there :p) Bring this back! Ps. Sorry for the rant. I’m just fed up of the crap these corporations are pulling!

Like two reviewers below me, I'm not a fan of the original Manifesto, as I usually dislike tonka bean. L'Elixir doesn't have the same powdery sharpness of the original, it's warm and rounded, almost gourmand. I was surprised as soon as I sprayed it, as the scent strongly reminds me of almond. It's like the original Manifesto mixed with Hypnotic Poison. It's sexy in a classy way. It gets noticed, I heard a few people next to me sniffing the air and saying "mmmmhhh..." Gorgeous perfume for Winter nights, as its sillage and sweetness would easily be overpowering on a warm day.

Totally beautiful fragrance to me! Sweet, but not like syrup, cause you can also smell citrus that adds some freshness. Warm, but soft, not heavy. Perfect! I like the first Manifesto by YSL, but l'Elixir is much, much better, I would say, absolutely gorgeous. Update: After more than a year from opening, this fragrance has changed. Now I can smell less vanilla and more tuberose which is a bit screechy... so better keep it in cool and dark place after opening. I kept it in my bathroom with the rest of my scents. Usually perfume don't turn badly there, but this one did.

I don't know the original Manifesto, but L'Elixir was a blind buy and a good one. Rich, creamy vanilla with subtle white florals, slight powderiness and a faint but sparkly citrus note in the dry down. Moderate sillage, lasts for hours. There are shadows of Dior Addict and Kenzo Amour here, but this isn't quite as darkly sexy as Addict or as rice pudding-cosy as Amour, and the touch of citrus in the later stages gives it unique character. A happy addition to my grown-up vanilla collection. EDIT: Christ, this is good stuff. Utterly in love.

My husband has a bad habit of trying my perfumes. Today I was walking behind him in the supermarket when I got a very strong whiff of vanilla, he was wearing my Manifesto Elixir! I never realized it was soooooo strong. He was surrounded by a cloud of vanilla and heliotrope you could it smell meters away from where he was standing. I have been wearing this perfume to work a couple of times, not knowing it was so powerfull. It's only when someone else is wearing it that you notice this. I will have to apologize to my colleagues for this!

A beautiful, elegant and sensual fragrance from YSL that really amazed me the first time I smelled it. This is a mature vanilla with an oriental twist which really appeals to my nose. It's definitely the heavier and sweeter version of the original Manifesto which is more woody and fruity. It almost shares some similarities with Dior Addict but they do not smell the same of course. I bought 2 bottles of this because I read it has been discontinued :(( it's a shame because it really is a hidden gem so check it out while you still can!

I CAN'T BELIEVE YSL DISCONTINUED SUCH A MASTERPIECE 😡 What's wrong with YSL ? Some people in marketing should really reconsider their career choice. 👎 Launching 47 bottles of "Mon Paris" that nobody like or care about (aside from 14 years old teenagers) but discontinuing "Manifesto Elixir" ? I was wearing it during the past 8 years, it was my signature. Manifesto L'Elixir is one the few modern-mainstream perfumes that has a unique and distinct DNA. It is a high quality vanilla creation, my main summery night time choice, very feminine, sensually playful perfume that never fails giving me lots of compliments from men & women. I will enjoy it till last drop but I will propably not repurchase it, although it has the potential of a signature perfume. Bravo to YSL house! P.S: It has nothing to do with Dior Addict, two different perfumes.

I agree with darksome. I also prefer the original but got the Elixir in an exchange but i am still glad to have it. It is to use very little, if not, it seems I am in a vanilla manufacture ! I Will see how it reacts in a couple of hours... Two days later ... It's the second day I wear it and I'm getting used to it. I thing the "heliotrope" is a new sent for me and it comes out after 30 minutes. Than, after 4 hours after the first spray, a soft but rich vanilla sent stays for the day.

This smells soooo good! Yesterday I tried this for the first time and it was definitely a love at first sniff for me! It also has decent sillage and longevity. It was a moment of joy to discover another delicious scent. There are just so many beautiful scents available, sigh... The dry down made me think of Givenchy l'ange noir. It doesn't smell the same, but it gave me the same vibe. Don't know why, maybe because they both are powdery and sweet.

This had no business smelling this good. I had a crush on this guy in high school and asked him if I should buy Black Opium or Manifesto. Surprise, surprise he said opium...duh As the people pleasing teenager I was I listened but the moment I finished that basic, annoying scent, I saved from my allowance and got this one. Best YSL fragrance to this day, don’t @ me, you know I’m right, lost this gem to the normies, she is missed... 😭

Love, love, LOVE this perfume. The l'Elixir lasts a good 8 hours on my skin with decent sillage, whereas the original dries down to a barely noticeable skin scent within 1 hour on my skin. I've had the l'Elixir for 6 months already, and it's my go-to everyday scent. It's sexy without being over-the-top. I get compliments whenever I wear it. I really hope YSL doesn't stop making this version because it's TDF!!

This is my favourite vanilla scent. Yes, it is heavy on the vanilla, but it is mixed with citruses, so it is not overwhelmingly sweet. Great sillage too - I sprayed this while on a plane, as we were preparing to land, and at least five women came to me to ask what fragrance I was wearing and they all agreed that it was beautiful.

Once things settle down if they ever do, if there's anyone on here in Europe who can get a fresh, new bottle of this, and ship it to the U.S. I'd love to buy it from you. Obviously stores aren't open at this moment. Of course I'd pay for bottle,shipping, your trouble, etc. I picked up my last bottle at Primtemps in France.

I was a Manifesto fan from the first sniff! But today I tried the Elixir version and WHOW!! This is a superlative form of Manifesto original. I am sold! When my current bottle runs out I will for sure buy the Elixir instead. It is more potent and really lasts for hours.

I absolutely love this <3 much better than the original which was nice but lacked the wow factor. It reminds me of a softer Dior Addict, I find it intoxicating with great staying power and lovely warm vanilla. It also comes in a beautiful bottle,.

I bought this fragrance in the 30ml version back in 2015 and, out of curiosity, didn't unbox it until today, so I have a brand-new bottle. I can say with certainty that this perfume smells 99.5% identical to Out at the Opera by Philly & Phill.

At first, this smells like absolute heaven with notes of rich vanilla, soft powder, delicate flowers, and a hint of musk. It’s like dusting yourself with the most luxurious vanilla powder. But after a while, it started to smell like fenugreek.

Its the same as Manifesto EDP for me. It's ruddy scent of mystery and elegant! I don't think that I'll get bored. Floral / Sweet / Powdery / Woody.. everything... Everything could smell so beautiful. I've been fascinated!

I love Dior addict and this perfume is 90% similar to it, but a little bit softer. I love it, but i don't see any idea to have both, if you like dior addict, but its a heavy for you this perfume is perfect for you.

It's nothing even close to Dior "Addict". However, Acqua Di Parma tried to copy-paste it 6 years later with their boring "Vaniglia" overpriced for its mediocre performance. BRING BACK THIS DISCONTINUED MASTERPIECE

Manifesto L'Elixir is sexy, heavy, very sensual and feminine fragrance. Very long lasting! I would recommend it for cold days or nights. Also the bottle is gorgeous! Big love!!!

MMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! This is pure vanilla in a bottle! So yummy and gorgeous! The lasting power is amazing too! The only downside is that it is very rare here in Australia.

I love it. It's really different and so sexy perfume. I spray just 3 times and it goes all day. I love vanilla and musky base notes. Strong and attractive scent.

sweet, warm and nice vanilla scent. It is very intense at the beginning, but it becomes more softer after a couple of hours. Gorgeous sensual smell! I love it!
