Mon Paris Couture

I love citrus fragrances but find they dissipate from my skin quickly, which is why this fragrance is so amazing because YSL has managed to create a long-lasting citrus scent, I'm guessing by mixing it with Patchouli and musk. Overall, I would describe it as a complex, balanced and wholly unified scent. Even hours after spraying, I get an intermingling of fruits and flowers, raspberries, lychees, rose etc Being perfectly balanced means that the notes circle like a carousel, maintaining my curiosity. I have been hunting for a patchouli-themed scent for a while but have struggled to commit so it is a relief to have found this as it plays into the current patchouli trend without having that overwhelming, sticky feeling I get from Black Opium. I also prefer it to Guerlain's La Petite Robe Noire, which is amazing but has too much too emphasis on Patchouli for my taste. Some have compared it to Armani's Because It's You (BIY) and having done a side-by-side comparison I would say that their top notes give off a similar warm vibe but after an hour of so, they are distinct enough to create very different impressions. BIY is characteristic of the Armani range, warm, sexy and smooth. I get vanilla, some musk and something I can't quite put my finger on, which notes indicate is probably raspberry. It is consistent whereas Mon Paris Couture is playful, dynamic and flirty probably in the same way as Givenchy's Hot Couture but void of the leather and Tobacco scents so its less earthy sensuality and more stereotypically romantic in its choice of notes.

I have worn this fragrance since it first came out. My partner noted that I had a sample of the original “Mon Paris” and meant to get me that but got this instead (he tried!). Fortunately I like this one better, as the more developed, less girlish version of the scent and it has become a signature. The top notes are certainly a bright citrus and sharp pear balanced out by an undercurrent of soft floral. Over time you get a bit more of the floral, which isn’t powdery or old-fashioned whatsoever—maybe it’s a little synthetic but I think it’s perfect for young women rather than a more realistic-powdery floral for an older lady. The best part to me is the amazing longevity—my coats, sweaters, and even the lanyard I wear for work hold the constant remnant of a sweet light musk which is what I now consider my “signature.” The base notes here really linger in a lovely way that has melded with my natural scent over the years. I do a single spritz on my core and a drop on my wrists and it’s enough for the whole day. This was a nice level up for me after wearing Miss Dior Cherie during my teens (yes, the reformulation) for years and being attracted to muskier, more mature fragrances without wanting to make a total plunge just yet. No one note dominates on me and I always get compliments from men, women, and children (I work with kids!) alike on my scent. It’s romantic without needing to be worn only out for dates, citrusy without smelling like a produce section, floral without giving me a headache, and musky without being earthy.

Oh gosh ! Found my new favourite ! Fresh opening, citrusy, sweet, slightly juicy , I wasnt looking for juicy , since that can tend to be a little teen-agy ”but this one seduced me . The juicy sweetness opens up ( this is my completely amateur nose) , and after a short while a Classy feminine , subtle rose turns up and the Whole thing is just so balanced all the way through . An insanely fresh happy juicy opening that take hands and gets Down with a shy beautiful quiet rose, stays the same and together without weird notes coming through , just a happy , sweet kiss , then slowly dries down in a fresh, super-feminine , oh so beautiful perfect Perfume skin scent , still you can sense the beginning and it all together- juicy , happy , longing , Playful that calms down a little and marries with the basenotes Musk, and I dont know what Moore .. I ‘ m smelling the dry down now, spraying it on 7 hours ago , and I feel a calm completely beautiful ,musky , sweet , juicy rosy, youthful femininity, not a teenager . Still so together , and perfect. Like a beautiful evening, on a beautiful balcony , With a stunning view, Old houses, water , a big bouquet of pink dewy shy roses on the table. Two glasses of sparkling pink champagne with a citrusy twist . a perfect Evening , a perfect time , with the one you longed so much to share this moment with . Just happy love in a absolutely perfect moment .💗

This is a wonderfully bubbly and sparkling scent with fresh berries and fruits in it. I absolutely adore this! While I also like the original Mon Paris by YSL, to me this is a clearly enhanced version of it. I get a lot of sweet berries and fruits in this, yet they are not overly sweet at all, since there is citrus and white musk to balance out the combination so nicely. This is one of my newest loves among fragrancies and since I'm usually not such a big fan of YSL's scemts (this might be due to my not-so-fortunate experiments with YSL Rive Gauche during my early teenage years in the eighties - not really a youthful teenager scent that one) it took me some time to try this out properly on my skin. Once I did, I fell in love immediately and have now ordered three more big bottles of this beauty. Not your usual fruitschouli by any means, but much more inviting instead. Yet, if you don't like fruits and berries in your scents, I'm pretty certain that this will be a miss for you, since those elements are so dominant and well presented in this one.

Lots of negative type reviews here but I personally really enjoy this fragrance. It is strange to me that there is peony in the mix because peony usually makes me sneeze. Perhaps the difference is this one has white peony? I am not sure if there is a difference there but whatever it is, I do not sneeze while wearing this fragrance. I can't really smell a lot of grapefruit but this fragrance is so well blended it would be difficult to pick out individual notes. I find it a soft and sensual aroma. I wore it home for my husband to experience before I bought the large bottle and all he wanted to do was....well you can guess. I like the Couture better than the Mon Paris version, but I do really like them both. I get compliments when I wear MPC and it last for a very long time on my skin and even longer on my clothes. I really love the bottle with the purple mix inside. It is simple but elegant. I will reach for this one often. Oh, and I am not a young lady. ;-) I think any age group will love this perfume if it has the notes they are looking for.

mon paris couture winter test, two sprays to elbow the sillage for this is fabulous. someone said escada similarities - those dont last on me, but the fruit in mon paris couture is similar - clean, clear and juicy. the opening is fruity, the other accords are probably hidden and blended well. this is a different scent a bit in the simmer, more of a make up-y powder comes out. impressions were: zingy fruits a bit tart perfumey edge big sillage but not a bomb clean fruity deep middle rounded lighter than the MP edp which is sickeningly sweet and hangs about on me. due to the sillage and longevity of this it could probably replace several fruit fragrances i have. its very expensive though EDIT now after several hours i believe the accords, when i sniff up close i get the rose sweet maybe musky thing going on. i prefer to original. i would have to sell or swap to get this one. damn they over price this brand

I am a HUGE fan of the original. In fact, I am wearing it right now. I also love fresh clean and fruity scents. I have not tried this yet and actually went online to buy a backup of my original when I noticed this flanker. My all-time favorite note is peony and this perfume seems to have all of my favorite notes. If I could create my own perfume based on my individual fav notes, it would look like this. Because of this, I think I am just going to buy this blind instead of backup of the original. I will post an update as soon as I order and receive it. EDIT: I just received it today and it is the best thing I have ever smelled in my life! just beautiful. I cannot believe it took me so long to find this gem. It is incredibly sweet candy like floral but has managed to not be cloying. It is truly perfect.

I adore this perfume. It was my very first "grown up" perfume. I like it much better than the original Mon Paris, which gives me headaches. This one feels bright and girly, the kind of fragrance that makes me happy just by smelling it. It's not too heavy a scent, but it lasts a really long time on me (8-10 hours with one, maybe two, sprays) especially considering that most fragrances tend not to on me. I received it as a gift, and I think it'd make an excellent gift especially for late teens/early-mid 20s.

LOVE! Such a pretty and sophisticated fruity patchouli. Very similar to Mon Paris original, with a bit more fruitiness and less patchouli. Maybe more raspberry than strawberry. Drydown is also very similar, but the fruitiness stays with Couture. I prefer Couture to the original but I have and adore both! Cannot stop sniffing my wrist while wearing this one!! One word to describe this scent: intoxicating. I love it so much.

I recently got this flanker. I really enjoy the original so thought I would try this out. At first I wasn't quite sure how I felt, but it has grown on me. On my skin I smell a lot of grapefruit and rose blended. It really is a wonderful flanker. It does seem like a more serious take on the original. If you are pondering on this one I would say give it a try.

This is a very nice sweet scent. Very easy reach fragrance that focuses on sweet fruits and musk in the base. Performance is great and gives you a nice scent bubble! Both male and female could pull this off as it’s just fruits and the rose stays behind. Fun, fruity, and bright. Good uplifting fragrance that I think is better than the OG.

This flanker is SO much better than the original Mon Paris. Delicious, classy, and sexy, I love this for when I want to make a statement, and it’s gotten me a lot of compliments. I prefer it for a night out as opposed to everyday wear, just cause it’s a bit stronger than I typically go for. Longevity is excellent.

Very citrus. This perfume feels like one of a kind. I haven’t smelt anything like it. You get zero patchouli and zero litchi. The base of musk ambroxin and cashmere make it such a sexy scent. I wear to to party lol It was my very first perfume

Another flanker... well, better than the original fir me anyway, the original sweet strawberry just sits there and it’s a nope. This is very perfumes, makeup-y I’ll just find my notes and update

This is a lighter version of YSL Mon Paris. Nice perfume, long lasting and elegant, very feminine, not too sweet, just moderate. OK for day and evening wear, suitable for any age IMHO.

There is now a Mon Paris EDT version that is supposed to have added more citrus and lighter notes. I just ordered it and will update when it arrives. It is not yet in the database.

A lovely citrus and green scent. Very spring summer perfume. The peony is quite loud. There is a watery note keeps this perfume fresh.

A great fruity-floral fragrance. I wear this to the office and out on date nights. So pretty!

My favourite of all the Mon Paris. Fresh, citrusy with the added litchi note 👌🏾

Fresh fruity lychee, orange, fruity perfection. Absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

I have to agree this does share similarities with 'Because it's you', although it's got a lot less vanilla and musk, that raspberry note is the predominant link. I like this, it's nice, but it's not amazing. It does have similarities to the Mon Paris EDT, which I also have. I do find this a lot 'younger', probably aimed towards a younger market. Although, I'm not that market! I'll still wear it. This is fruity! I find the litchi quite detectable, especially in the opening, along with lots of peony, grapefruit, bergamot and a raspberry overload. On first spray I thought it had 'Escada vibes' and I wonder if anyone else gets that? Anyway, I like it, the bottles are very pretty! But as with these flankers, they make one nice bottle and just save money by sticking a different bow on it and colouring the juice a bit different, which is a bit cheeky! It's a Spring/Summer scent and maybe it's a more wearable Escada? I dunno, I like it. But it's not mind-blowing in the least, which is kind of a shame, it would be nice to have something really exceptional from YSL, I do like them a lot, but they aren't always particularly innovative. I think the peony overtakes the rose a lot and that the fruitiness takes over all of it! But my skin amps up fruity notes, so perhaps that's just me. Longevity is about 5 hours and the sillage shouts at the beginning but dies down to arm's length for the rest of the duration.

Finally fragrantica add this one! I have it about a month now and it's very-very rose based perfume.It's much more on the floral-fresh side with the grapefruit and raspberry and of course the dominant musky base. The opening it's very fresh much more fresher than the original,yes there is the raspberry and the other fruits but in a fresh summery-spring way .This version is more airy and floral.The dominant note is the grapefruit with a big dose of rose-peony and raspberry plus the musky base.It has a very plastic smell which I don't like and I think this is the mix of grapefruit and peony(on me). Not something new but for those who think the original Mon Paris is too sweet and cloying than try this one.How I said it's a rose based perfume and it's a floral-fruity scent I don't smell any chypre note.It's pretty fresh-floral-light.Perfect for spring and maybe summer. The sillage is very good and the longevity it's moderate(5-6 hours). The juice is now more purple and the bow has metallic dots this time.

A cocktail fruity citrus floral scent. Very wearable, light, festive, charming, versatile, tendre. Moderate strong sillage at the beginning, after 2-3 hours it's softer, but still sniffable. After 5-6 hours I can still smell it, but it's more a faint sweet fruity cashmeran scent that remains for the rest of the day. I tend to reapply the perfume once more after 4-6 hours to give it a little boost. I have two samples and I will gladly finish them. It smells really good, the only thing that makes me hesitate to buy it is that it reminds me many perfumes I have (Escada Miami Blossom, Dolce & Gabbana L'Impératrice, Moschino Fresh Couture, Dior Addict Eau Fraîche...), YSL Mon Paris Couture smells more delicate than some of them, but I feel it costs a lot for something I got similar in my collection, plus the performance doesn't specifically wow me, so I don't know, I will test it more. I haven't try the original Mon Paris and even if I love berry scents, I'm scared it's too patchouli heavy for me.

I got a free sample of this from Sephora around 2 years ago. I loved it. It was the first floral fragrance that I ever liked, showed me that floral can be youthful and not White Diamonds-y. I couldn’t afford a bottle of course so I moved on. Later in life I encountered Versace Bright Crystal, which I could afford so I bought. I bought 3 sample vials of Mon Paris Couture as well, and I see why I loved it now, it smells extremely similar to Bright Crystal! Bright Crystal is not as deep-smelling as Couture (I imagine the patchouli, cashmeran, and ambroxan create this depth) and BC is fruitier, but they are seriously so close, you would think they were related. I prefer BC though because of the fruitiness. Couture is just okay. It’s boring since I started a fragrance collection and have smelled a lot more things. Pass on this one, check out Versace Bright Crystal.

When I first spray Mon Paris Couture I get hit immediately by a scent that brings raspberry sour candy to mind. I don't know if there's a raspberry sour patch candy flavor but if it exists it smells like the opening and initial dry down of this fragrance. Very sweet and tart, and it can be overwhelming. I personally love sour candy so I didn't mind it but it's interesting. I think it's the mix of the raspberry, litchi, grapefruit, orange, peony, and a hint of rose and patchouli that create that impression. The sour patch smell lasts for a little over an hour and then it rapidly drops off to a barely noticeable skin scent with a sweet whiff of cashmere. A lot of the reviewers have commented on its great longevity but for me it doesn't last long at all.

YSL Mon Paris Couture (bottle with metallic dots on the bow) This is much more wearable than the OG. This would be great for everyday. It's fresher and doesn't have the heavy strawberry. sweetness. A nice fruity floral. The floral is green, but not gross. daytime spring summer. Age 20-35. Silage is about 6 feet when first sprayed. About an hour later it's about arm's length. Another crazy unique, but I do like it. I'd probably keep it if gifted. The longevity is surprisingly bad, at 2 hours there's not a whole lot of smell left and it sits very close to the skin. Wouldn't buy based on longevity, and night sell if gifted BC I could use the money towards another perfume.

I’ve been wearing it now for an hour and I like it. The litchi and raspberry are very prominent at first blast. It’s almost identical to the EDP in the middle notes. I like the MP EDP as well and to be honest they smell very very similar. I don’t think you need them both. It’s very syrupy and sweet like LVEB. But less “heavy” if you know what I mean. It’s the spring version and safe for work version. Edit: woke up this morning and could still catch whiffs of it so it is quite long lasting on clothes for sure! Thankfully, the sillage does die down a bit after 2 - 3 hours but is still noticeable if someone comes close to you for at least 2 hours more after that.

So yummy, fresh, juicy. I just get raspberry and grapefruit. It's not cloyingly sweet, more along the lines of Chance Eau Tendre sweet. Different scent but the same muted fruity notes. It's not as alluring, chic or sexy as Mon Paris EDP IMO. This is more of a shower, body wash shampoo scent. It reminds of this amazing, heavenly scented shampoo by herbal essences...not the original one though, this smells like the herbal essences shampoo called 'long term relationship' which is raspberry scented. If you like fresh, shower type of scents go for this instead of MP EDP which is totally different, IMO.

I previously purchased Mon Paris. My husband loves it on me, but it always felt a tad too sweet. He surprised me with this scent for Christmas, and I am in love! The patchouli is dialed back significantly, and it's a nice, balanced citrusy floral. It's still sweet and flirty, but also feels more mature. The OG Mon Paris is something that I would have loved in my 20s, but as a 30-something Mon Paris Couture is perfect for me now (although I still plan to wear the MP EDP for date nights)!

I'm sad to see this discontinued. I'm nearing the end of my bottle and although I actually prefer the original Mon Paris, this one has been a fun flanker. It's girly, and a little bit boozy, and the bottle is so pretty with the dotted bow. It doesn't project well but otherwise it's great! Appropriate for all seasons and occasions...such an easy reach.

VERY fruity. I like it a lot, but it's not an office/errand perfume for me because it's quite strong. I think it's a super cute fragrance for going out with friends and family, or for a more casual date night. I'm currently in my 20s and I think it's appropriate for my age range; not juvenile, but not grandma either. My mother-in-law really likes it!

Nice spring/summer fragrance. It's that "girl next door" scent. It's very pretty and casual. A little bit of that shampoo vibe. A good everyday perfume, tho a tad bit overpriced for what it is? I think I like the original the best. Wearing this, people have asked if I'm wearing Escada.

I love the original and this one is a nice take on it. It's still very sweet but has crisp citrus notes. It makes it very summer appropriate. In this version I get more floral as well, it's not all gourmand fruit and berries. Projection is very good. I like it very much.

I got a sample of this and will be gifting the rest of this to my bff. It does smell nice but on me it smells exactly like Marc Jacob's Daisy Eau So Fresh. Not similar but exactly the same. My own fault for not paying closer attention to the notes.

Indeed very similar to the edp. Good performance too. I love the edp. This one gets a big like as I slightly like the sweetness of the strawberry note in the edp more than the freshness of the citrus in the edt.

This is a really nice fruity floral. I don’t think it’s particularly stand out or distinct, so I’m gifting it to my mum. A beautiful light fruity rose. Good performance, decent sillage.

This one smells much better than Mon Paris edp and edt as it is not as cloying and sweet as the edp version and there is something young in it, probably the fruity notes. I can smell raspberry and grapefruit in the very beginning, with raspberry giving it sweetness whilst grapefruit bestowing it freshness, making it a gorgeous fruity scent which is not overly sweet. I can also smell lychi and peony which gives it a hint of floralness and musk which creates a fresh base. After it dries down, it is time for cashmeran, amber and patchouli. A scent for young girls turning mature, let say girls in their twenties.

I tried a sample of this at Ulta as it was on sale. Upon initial spray, I mainly got florals with some citrus, pretty generic. The mid-way dry down turned into a synthetic floral (I could barely detect any other notes on me besides florals). The final dry down is a bit warmer and I can detect some of its similarities to the original Mon Paris at this point, but it's still pretty basic, warm floral on me. It also does not seem to be very strong. A pretty scent, just a bit too generic for me.

I adore Mon Paris! I wasn't impressed with the floral edition at all but gave this one a try. To me, this is Mon Paris with a candy kick. This has the same DNA but on me also smells like candy. So it is not as elegant as the original but still a lovely fragrance. Has good sillage. When wearing this I never became "nose blind" to it. I could definitely still smell it.

This is much sweeter than Mon Paris EdP. For me, it gives a very young vibe. The sweetness is too much for me. Almost like a candy. I much prefer the original Mon Paris EdP which strikes me as a deeper if not a wee bit more mature but in a good way!

This smells like fruit punch kool-aid with a tiny bit of patchouli. It really isn't a bad scent, but it is something I probably would have loved in my teens/20s. I will be giving this to my daughter.

This is like a fruitier, harsher, louder Mon Paris & a soapier Angel Nova. I prefer the OG Mon Paris over it.

Too much citrus for me :/ didnt like it

It doesn't matter if it lasts long. I don't understand what the perfumers where thinking this time YSL even dare to call it a chypre fruity; this is not a chypre fruity, it's a pure nasty synthetical mess, from beginning to end. Cheap fruity, not as sweet as the original. Lots of white musk and ambroxan with pear and grapefruit. You have smelled this for sure before. The fact that it's fresh and clean and all that stuff doesn't make it a good quality perfume, nope. There are tons of fruity-floral perfumes out there with better quality. And let me be clear again: not having any problem with perfumers using chemicals to create perfumes, all perfumes have chemicals,none is completely made out of essential oils, but if it flat out smells like synthetics, it's just bad quality

I had high hopes for this one. Not sure why, I guess from time to time I'm a sucker for tacky, little things ;) I've got full bottle as a gift and and tested the scent during 3 weeks, different weather, different moods... It is NOT horrible but it's also not particularly pleasant to wear. I hit "dislike" on the ratings but I would rather give it "meh" if it was an option :D Strong grapefruit morphing into syrupy litchi. Have I smelled it before? Probably. Something in it reminds me of summer Escadas (although Mon Paris Couture could be cloying in hot weather). Possibly that screechy grapefruit note trying to even out the sweetness of litchi and raspberries. It has decent longevity, 4-5 hours and longer on clothes.

Headache-inducing. Not fading quickly. Smells like a chemical rose. Edit: 2 hours after applying I thought, "I need to just wash this off." 4 hours after, I thought, "not bad at all now." But that's a heck of a commitment to make. The cashmeran and musk notes, I guess, are nice but I dislike most of it. This was a bad choice for me, that's all.

I put this on and thought “I smell like a Sephora store.” Then, I asked my boyfriend to smell me & he said I smelled like a Bath & Body Works store. No shade, I shop at both of those places, but I’d like my scent to be more elevated. Generic and unimpressive. This would probably suit a teenager.
