Parisienne A L'Extreme

Received a bottle of this beautiful juice in a swap. It had been on my want list for ages but I had removed it recently thinking I'd never own it due to its discontinued status. Imagine my surprise when a lovely Fragrantican offers her bottle in exchange for something on my list she wanted. What a stunningly beautiful rosey-violet, blackberry & suede fragrance it turned out to be! On my skin the suede is detectable from top notes to dry down adding a subtle softness to the burst of juicy blackberry. Surprisingly I detect very little patchouli despite the fact that my skin often enhances even the smallest patch notes in perfumes. Instead the rose and violet combo is full and lush with the patch note in the background. The overall effect projects the image of a blood red rose with velvet-like petals. The sillage and longevity on this one are phenomenal; well over 12 hours on clean skin. This beauty is a definite compliment getter that melds so perfectly with my chemistry. I'll definitely be saving this beauty for autumn. It's everything I hoped it would be. I'm so grateful to goldenfire5 for gifting me a bottle! <3

Rich and smokey, dark and unusual. My impression is that sweet vinyl note (Parisienne EDP) has been replaced with a sexy suede note (A L'Extreme EDP) here. This trick made my dreams come true since I absolutely adore to wear Parisienne during the day and now I will have its variation that is perfect for the night time!!! A L'Extreme reminds me of an exceptionally elegant woman, reminds me of luxurious suede accessories; suede bags, suede shoes, soft suede gloves... I wouldn't go that far to say that A L'Extreme is a better version of regular Parisienne EDP. I would say it is totally different. Parisienne EDP is sweet and innocent comparing to A L'Extreme. Parisienne is much sweeter, colourful, playful and cheerful, A L'Extreme is serious, mature, mysterious. Parisienne is a light rain shower on an extremely sunny and hot day, A L'Extreme is a sunset on a windy, cool seashore... Lovely bottle, lovely lasting power and silage. YSL so far has never disappointed me with any of their creations. Thumbs up for A L'Extreme.

After blind buying a used bottle of Parisienne EDP online, and really liking it, I just had to get Parisienne A L'Extreme as well when the offer came up. They are quite different to my nose, but some of this difference might have to do with the different ages of the two bottles. Where the EDP is fresh and dewy, clean and classy, although with a querkiness from the vinyl note; A L'Extreme is boozy, like slightly sour red wine from the last drops of a bottle, it is also semi sweet, with hints of licorice or aniseed, and dried roses, a bit musty and stale. It is almost the opposite of the EDP, yet still bears a ressemblance to it. A L'Extreme is a gothic wine testing. The EDP is a daytime stroll to work. I do love them both though, especially in the musky drydown that they share, and look forward to finding and trying the EDT as well.

ADORE IT!!! It's beautiful!!! Oh my goodness.....I'm so lucky to have this gorgeous bottle, which my darling beloved man gave me!!! It's a heavenly colour, and the perfume is too. Exquisite. Deep, dark, smoky: rich sensual fruit, vanilla, rose and violet, and to-die-for suede, patchouli, incense and creamy vanilla and musk combination for the dry-down.... mmmm......swoon totally!!! Really awesome. Very very classy and elegant, very much a woman's perfume. A beautiful, mature, confident, sensual woman. It lasts an extremely long time - goodness, easily 16 hours while still staying quite strong, and then it sits gently and quietly, very close and snug for quite a few more. It's totally fantastic. A treasure, a sophisticated gem. The bottle says it. Completely stunning!!

A definite improvement on the original, but I was not an instant fan. I was not a fan of the original in the beginning either (although it grew to be a well loved favourite) but what sold me on this particular scent were the compliments I received from others when I wore it. The scent lingers far longer on the skin than the wearer is aware of, because long after I lose the ability to smell it, people are commenting on how "sweet" I smell. Definitely a scent males tend to appreciate more than females (as most compliments I receive are from men). It definitely is a scent to seduce (it literally drives some men wild)! And the blackberry is much more noticeable in this version.

I quite like this one and am happy that I finally found some. The original Parisienne didn't work for me - the vinyl note played out as pure icky chemical on my skin and the kindest thing I could say about it was that it didn't last too long. A L'Extreme is modern rose, blackberry, violet, a little velvety suede, subtle patchouli. Feminine, softly sweet, synthetic but pleasant, sexy. It reminds me of Lancome's Tresor Midnight Rose with more rose, much less syrup, blackberry instead of raspberry. Projects well, good longevity on me.

Very nice indeed. I like this version than the original. Start with the rock vintage bottle and invited you both of anxious and enchanted. I found this is a very sexy fragrance of Blackberry and especially with vinyl leather and suede. Both of them make me love at first crush. If you looking for a perfect rose scent this one is really special with a little bit warming of musk. I'm sure it's worth to purchase. All this perfume can do is reveal your sexy and confidence. I love it. Absolutely take it !

This was one of the first perfumes I ever purchased.. Although I’m not so fond of rose perfumes and flowery perfumes in general .. But I fell in love with this perfume when I first tried it.. The rich blackberry scent Is very prominent then when it cools on the skin the rose sweet scent shines through .. with white musk and violet .. The longevity is high compared to other YSL perfumes .. I recommend trying it ❤️❤️ (Evening/winter-autumn )

For me most beautiful version Parisienne YSL . Here rose is very modern.Has the sweetness, a flirt, lightly reminds Yvresse, with a little bit dry note.Like in start kelly Caleche EDP. This Parisienne is not to very hard on my skin , does not crush . Is very ,very good ,I'm feel so good.. Splendid on the autumn and winter. And i think I will buy EDT in summer .

Clear & sexy at the same time. I felt really divine while wearing it. Unbelievably well balanced! Good fragrance for a beautiful, mysterious woman. And for all women that like themselves. Update: After a lot of consideration, I have to say that it was one of the best perfumes in my life. Truly boudoir scent! I can recommend it to everyone!

Why did they discontinue this perfume? Personally, I liked it even better than the original. A burst of red berries, violet and rose. It was beautifully done, and I never found it overly sweet - it managed to be both cute and sensual, playful even. It was a real little delight. What a pity...

Have owned and enjoyed a bottle of the original Parisienne but noting the negative reviews regarding the vinyl note (which fades very quickly I think anyway and is not an issue)gave this a try. It is an improvement on the original - such a shame it is hard to get hold of now.

Just bought this lovely scent. Really in love with this rite now..this one is better than the original parisienne edp or edt. Love the togetherness of blackberries & rose.Very romantic & seductive scent perfect for Valentine's Day dinner..;-)

This is my signature. I adore it dearly. Well balanced, sexy, luxurious, dark and mysterious scent. I don't know anyone else who use it but at least it gets a lots of attention in a good way. Love, love, love it.

this one smells like dark red lipstick, wine, roses and stiletto heels the only thing i dont like about it is that it fades away in just 3 hours on me. shame! such a gorgeous fragrance

I'm really a big fan of YSL perfumes and I bought at least 9 different models of this brand. but this one I think, has unforgettable scent. I'm totally in love with it ❤️

Same smell of the original but More Intensive .. More Long Lasting which is Amazing .... i absolutely Love It :)

Owning bottles of both this, and the original Parisienne EDP, I can definitely say that I prefer the A L'extreme version. While the original Parisienne is SUPER sweet, candy-like rose & vinyl forward, this flanker is blackberry, patchouli & a more pleasant rose/violet combo forward. The addition of a stronger violet note rounds out the sharpness that was present in the original. The composition is less plastic-y, after ditching the vinyl accord, and seems overall smoother & less polarizing. Parisienne A L'extreme opens up with a strong, shrill fruity accord - loads of blackberries on top of a patchouli base to give it depth, and thickness. Slowly, the rose comes along, with the soft, sweet violet - and though this combination is not makeup/lipstick-related for once, it still is reminiscent of some sort of boudoir once it turns a little powdery. Somewhere deep in this perfume is a slight vanillic note, adding sweetness and softness. Overall, not totally unlike the original Parisienne, the impression is somewhat that of a Victoria's Secret body spray - that type of youthful, "sexy", strong, sweet floral/fruity scent. With a few notes of depth added in, boom! You get the Parisienne line. These are likes, not loves, for me, yet somehow I'm strangely attached to them, and they have a special place in my wardrobe! (However, I am not typically a fruity perfume lover, so keep that in mind.) If you have one, do you need both? Probably not. They have their differences, but they sit on the same base.

This is delectable. i have both this and the original parisienne and the original is much tamer. This explodes from the bottle with the first whiff. aAfter getting this (an hour ago literally), this takes 1st place over the original, circumstances depending of course! I would not wear this at work unless I was angling for a come-on. This is sexy sweet madness in a bottle, just waiting to join you on a night painting the town whatever colour catches your fancy. While the original is dimpling sweet and more reserved, this one sends the ball out of the park in attitude and sillage. The berries and the flowers are so smoothly combined, the sweetness doesn't become cloying or headache provoking but remains most definitely in your face. Longevity possibly forever, honestly not being biased, this stuff clings on. Projection...let's just say, it's called extreme for a reason.
