Saharienne

I stumbled upon this fragrance at Saphora’s in the mall and couldn’t resist buying it. However, my girlfriend suggested waiting and getting the larger bottle for a better deal. I did, and I’m thrilled to be the proud owner of it now. This fragrance exudes a crisp and refreshing vibe, making it perfect for a sunny Sunday brunch or simply relaxing. If you’re a fan of Neroli fragrances that aren’t overpowering but addictive enough to make people want to catch a whiff of your scent, this is a must-try. The fragrance begins with a citrusy aroma that gradually transitions into a floral and clean scent on my skin. It evokes the memory of Allspice, that timeless scent you faintly recall from your childhood. Its unisex nature makes it versatile for various occasions. On my skin, it radiates beautifully, creating a pleasant bubble of fragrance that garners compliments if I’m within arm’s reach of someone. It’s the perfect fragrance to let them discover you. I recommend trying it on a warmer day. The heat enhances the fragrance, making it more noticeable and captivating.

Saharienne is a pleasant, clean neroli fragrance with an underlying musk and hints of something green. The scent is very inoffensive and perfect for warm days, indoors and outdoors. Picture a freshly laundered linen hanging in a garden of white flowers and foliage in summer. This provides a slightly more feminine take on neroli than ADP Colonia Essenza and TF Neroli Portofino, cutting the citrus and aromatic herbs, and replacing them with musk and green notes. Regardless, men and women can easily pull this off. Putting price into consideration, I would personally recommend Essenza, as it makes NP redundant, or Saharienne as an alternative if you favour musk. Smell: 8.5/10 Performance: 7/10 Presentation: 8/10 Value: 4/10 Overall: 7/10 EDIT: I realised 7/10 does not accurately reflect how much I like this perfume, considering this is now one of my favourites, and I bought it for an excellent price, I am bumping it up to a 9/10.

I tried this last Spring in France and I have no idea why, while I was there, I didn’t buy it. I am kicking myself for not having done so! I looooooove neroli and I love what Alberto Morillas creates so I am an absolute moron for not having purchased it on the spot!! I remember having several other fragrances I was trying on my skin that day but Saharienne stood out and on my way back home in the tramway, I got several stares from people...one gentleman was actually smiling (not in a perverted way) and I could see he enjoyed the scent... Anyway, I have yet to get a full bottle but this is a wonderful experience. Spring-y, soapy but in a floral way, not shampoo or baby powder-like, ethereal and yet strong and vibrant. Perfect for outdoors, perfect for weddings as well, and to me, very comforting and yet refreshing. ✨✨✨✨✨

Reviewing a decant from 2025. Saharienne was launched in 2015. Saharienne is a lovely aromatic citrus made for very hot weather. This opens with refreshing bergamot slightly bitter and peppery. The florals are fresh. I often have difficulty with some over enthusiastic neroli bombs but this is just the right amount tamed with jasmine and clary sage. The base is subtle vetiver and clean patchouli with white musk. I don't find it soapy. Simple but beautifully blended. More subtle and elegant than Neroli portofino. Fresher but perhaps not as beautiful as Neroli Amara. Quality- excellent Unisex Performance- average for a citrus fragrance An elegant sparkling citrus/floral. Quality Neroli perfectly blended to round out the harsh edges for those who have difficulty with this note. 8.0/10

Beautiful composition... It's discontinued here inn the Netherlands but found a bottle of 75ML for 100€. Perfect! It's a smoother and deeper Neroli Portofino profile, or even xerjoff Nio, where the Nio has a sharp opening, Neroli Portofino a cheaper Neroli and citruses... This one keeps every stage smooth, specially how they used the musk and vetiver is amazing, it keeps the Neroli from being to sharp or to floral. It's exactly how a unisex perfume should be executed. 10/10 for Neroli lovers! Performance is pretty solid 4-6 hours depending on the skin and weather. On clothes though (linen) it's at least 2 days with a decent projection. Always there...

I do feel Matiere Premiere got some inspiration from this for their Neroli Oranger. This is wonderful neroli on a seductive bed of musks. The intersection of neroli and musks is pin point and though I usually despise Alberto Morillas’s work and the constant repackaging of formulas for endless brands at every price point, this here is a quality piece of work. Beautiful soapy neroli with the right dose of petit grain keeping this unisex and an almost silent jasmine stealthily complimenting the neroli. The musks form the backbone holding all of it together and exalting the white floral beauty. Very well done and a relatively hidden gem in the category.

A really nice neroli scent. It slightly reminds me of Neroli Portofino Forte but this one doesn't have so much depth, leather is absent and musc and jasmine is quite powerful here. Longevity is average (3 to 4 hours) while projection is moderate. Not sure if it worths the price tag, it is really expensive, no idea if it is similar to the older Saharienne release from the same house. It feels really nice wearing it on the heat of the summer. I was a little worried when I first smelled this in the bottle because all I could smell was peppery incense and patchouli, but as soon as I sprayed it I was delighted to find the beautiful Neroli and bergamot I am always craving. The clary sage in this is distinctive and so beautifully grounding, and all the notes create a lovely harmony together. I have several Neroli-centered fragrances that are more floral, green, or fresh, but this is my new best spicy one and will be perfect for autumn/winter. I own Neroli Amara as well which is smoother and more lush, without the tannin effect of patchouli.

Finally got a chance to smell a lot of the YSL private line... and this... this is my new love. Absolutely addicted to getting a whiff of it. If you love neroli and freshies overall.. this is an absolute banger. This might be something I'm straight up paying retail for. It only lasts about 5hours on my skin and then it's virtually gone but the first few hours are absolutely magical. 100/10. Got four 2ml samples from the sales lady and I'm wearing it right now and O M G this is heavenly. If you like freshies, you NEED to try this.

You may need to be a neroli/orange blossom fiend to appreciate what sets this apart from other neroli scents- a creamy haziness, the clary sage, the woodsy dry down with the most subtle hint of patchouli. Alberto Morillas knows his neroli (and orange blossom), and this scent is a subtlely unique exploration of this most beloved note; to be appreciated and enjoyed, but perhaps less by those seeking something like Neroli Portofino or Solar Blossom (another of his beauties).

I absolutely love this clean scent. It's just a mixture of bergamot and white florals and for some odd reason makes my mouth water even though it's not a sweet scent but there's something gourmand about it. Has an aquatic clean feel to it.

Best neroli I have ever smelt. Mid performance though.

Soapy-clean light-green neroli aura of freshness, clean sheets and sea breezes. Basically TFNP but weaker and with less of the oily, punchy, spicy lushness that the Tom Ford version can unfurl on luckier days. Saharienne is in every way a delicate watercolour next to NP's more robust fresco - and that goes double for the performance. On me, the YSL's charms die on skin in under an hour and while they can linger more tantalisingly on fabric, it still doesn't last much past 2-3h max. Some things about it are wonderful: the crushingly heavy and classy Les Vestiaires presentation, with a Platonic ideal of a minimalist-luxe bottle and a magnetic cap whose 'clunk' is so satisfying it makes me sigh every time I use this; amazingly good control of the musk, so it's NEVER metallic or cheap-seeming; lush and billowing sillage at first; and a really good neroli inflected with herbs not flowers, so it doesn't get too sweet or cloying. It's still not enough to out-punch TFNP or Chopard's Neroli au Cardamome, so is outperformed at the luxury price point, and you can get similar (if not identical) versions of neroli at every tier below, even unto the bargain bin, for other light-nerolis which are just as clean-seeming and leagues less expensive (Yves Rocher, even Ferrari.) So, if you have a special love for the DNA of YSL scents, and/or can top up regularly, and/or you want it particularly discreet, this may be the one. I just keep thinking of all its other competitors I've mentioned, with a slight sense of frustration. Personal opinion: the RRP on this is so stiff it would need a deep deep discount to justify a buy. Still very very good, just not as impressive as it needs to be.

For what it is, it's done well. Its 4711/Neroli Portofino DNA. People hate Alberto, but he does things in the designer-niche realm so well. I would never pay the full retail price for this. I found a bottle for $99, and at that price, it's well worth it. For such a light cologne style DNA, it has moderate performance. I'm just wondering if I need this in the collection. One thing is for sure: the dry down with the soft white musk smells amazing. If you're a fan of the Neroli Portofino DNA, this is a 9-9.5/10, objectively. For my tastes, this normally isn't my favorite, but since it is so good, it gets an 8/10 from me. It's unisex to my nose, as a 40-year-old man.

It comes in bright and confident. I love petitgrain in perfume, though neroli usually is not my thing, but here it is balanced just right. The composition is summer friendly, effervescent, and surprisingly concentrated, a beautiful ode to warmth, youth, and light. The neroli never stands alone, and the blend feels more rounded and wearable than Tom Ford’s Neroli Portofino, especially in the heat. This sits among the best in YSL’s Le Vestiaire line, perfectly unisex, effortlessly office friendly, and an ideal fresh start to the day. I once layered it with Rémy Latour Cigar and the result was intoxicating, smooth, warm, and utterly magical.

Why calling this Saharienne and have people thinking it’s a reinterpretation, perhaps improved (it’s an edp vs old edt) of the original Saharienne by same designer? Why? The old one is far better and in terms of longevity they are comparable. I find this the ‘thinnest’ one of Vestiaire collection. Please test before buying full bottle.

I smelled this today at the store and I was hooked. If you enjoy neroli and summer vibe freshness this is for you. It’s sweeter and creamier than Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford. More sophisticated. Not sure about how long it lasts but it’s gold for freshy lovers. Good stuff.

Dear god YSL please work on the sillage and longevity of these. This is a gorgeous scent but performs like a weak body spray. It’s a skin scent in about 10 minutes. Lavalliere is the same. For the price please give us some longevity.

Elegant and clean. Not in your face/inoffensive. I think it leans a liiitle bit mature (would not recommend for teen girls who are looking for “clean girl” scent).

A typical Neroli freshie. Basically redundant with Neroli Amara, Neroli Portofino, Sun Song and I'm sure others. This one a little more creamy.

Ok but not worth the price tag.

A bright, milky neroli opening that feels like glowing sunlight breaking through a hazy morning, fresh, zesty, and just a little sharp. It’s airy, clean, it has just the perfect touch of warmth, the blooming purity of waking up to a tenderly cared for, gently grown, lovingly sun-dappled garden. But then, the dreaded soapy shift, one I had forseen but despised all the same. The happiness fades, and the freshness slips away, leaving behind something... miserable. The scent turns musky, skin covered in foamy soap, the kind of clean that’s almost too clinical, too artificial. It’s humid, warmed in a room where the air is thick, soapiness too clingy, too loud, too nauseating, too much. The soap note is not at all the comforting, lactonic kind, but one lathered too frothy, strong and waxy, the scent of a shower that won’t let go. Vetiver starts its ascend as well, its usual rooty woodiness suffocated and drowned in soap bubbles til damp and dark. Such a terribly sad sense of disconnection, between the bright promise of that opening and where it ends up. I find myself mourning the light and breezy start that so unfortunately lost its way—entirely.

Saharienne Yves Saint Laurent (Store test, Skin test, Siam Paragon) I just here to drop a note that this is not similar to previous Saharienne 2011 release by all means. Maybe, just a white-floral but, I found that previous release have more bite / intriguing composition than this. New prive Saharienne might have slightly more substantial but at this cost I can't honestly suggesting it. There is also a soft Cashmeran note at the very end of the scent, like yeah as most true to floral offering from the line. If you love old Eau de Cologne profile, please try previous Saharienne. That's have something to offer. This one, it is too safe to the point I just can't honestly recommending it.

It's a very accurate bitter orange blossom flower opening. Bitter, clean and white floral. I got the patchouli, but it's less dirty and more adding maturity to the scent profile. The musk is pretty present early on as well, and it is leaning pretty warm and feminine. I wouldn't call it elegant, but edgy and elevated are terms that fit. I've bought a few samples and this time I have landed on a bit more of a solid feeling that it's not my vibe. This would be good for a very style focused person wanting to add this on top of a curated outfit. It's really not casual or a special occasion fragrance imo. I'm picturing Cruella wearing this, honestly. Just bold and bitter.

Saharienne is a quietly sophisticated, fresh yet warm composition with a mature, well-balanced structure. Worn alone, it feels musky, soft, and subtly sun-warmed; layered with YSL Libre Intense, it becomes especially beautiful — adding restraint, depth, and elegance to the composition, creating a cleaner, more polished vibe. The notes are well-integrated, with no notes standing, and the overall effect is seamless rather than showy.I especially enjoyed wearing it to bed — it grounded my nervous system and felt calming, intimate, and composed. Rating: 7.8/10.

Soap. That's all you need to know. It smells just like a linear, pleasant, fresh, high quality, slightly green, neroli-tinged soap. If you want to smell like soap, this is for you.

charming aromatic citrus with a musky undertone, it has that almost fizzy, tingling “grainy” spice sitting on top the same way tuxedo from this line also does. its not warm, definitely on the cooler clean/refreshing side. The spicy citrus on top is the star of the show so thats what you smell for the most part, below that theres musky white flowers + woody/green nuances. I love the vetiver and patchouli here which adds a nature touch and balances the florals (we know neroli can get a lil crazy). on the inoffensive side but still very stylish somehow?? like it doesnt need to try. its pretty unisex/androgynous imo but if you focus on the white flowers it could lean verrryyy slightly feminine. its not a unique scent but you can actually smell how well-refined and sophisticated this is so no objections with the price, it may be one of the best of its kind, personally i prefer it to neroli portofino (sorry TF 😔). this is strictly summertime for me, couldnt imagine this in winter at all and dont need to haha. i think this is such a effortlessly cool scent for a nonchalant personality...light colours and southern italy summer vibes

Sometimes you just want to reach out to an easy to wear fresh citrus fragrance done in the vintage Eau de Cologne style. Opens with a hit of sparkling bergamot & petitgrain gently spiced with pink pepper, and then transitions to highlight the main players of this fragrance - neroli, jasmine & clary sage. True to expectations from this kind of a fragrance the end sees the citrus & florals segueing to a musky and woody dry down maybe with just a hint of vetiver. Nothing fancy, nothing out of this world, but sometimes when you are in the mood for a light effervescent Edc style fragrance like TFNP, Chanel Edc or even ADP Essenza then Saharienne will do the job perfectly. A moderate performer, but then again, that's expected from this genre

I tried this today, EXTREMELY limited distribution in the UK at the moment, only the Saint Laurent fitting rooms (not perfumery dept!) in Selfridges and at Heathrow Terminal 5. I have to say that I am seriously impressed! When I first sprayed on my skin I got an almost overwhelming hit of citrus and I was totally turned off. This passed very quickly and since then it has been through almost every shade of neroli, herb and musk under the sun. When I spayed the concentration of oil was evident on my skin (be careful of clothes!) and after 8 hours the sillage is still strong, incredibly unexpected from such a fresh fragrance. Very impressed indeed!

Some confusion about Saharienne and Le Vestiaire des parfums Saharienne. According to the French website prime-beaute.com, << Si le tout premier parfum Saharienne fut confectionné par Carlos Benaïm et Anne Flipo, ce ne sont pas ces derniers qui se sont chargés de réinventer cette essence. En réalité, cette transformation fut orchestrée par le talentueux Alberto Morillas.>> So this is not the same as the original Saharienne from back in 2011. The talented Alberto Morillas has orchestrated this transformation. Plain English: it's REFORMULATED. I love the first launch, but haven't had a chance to try this one, sorry.

I love citrus perfumes. The fresh vivid uplifting effect, even from cheapies, is the reason I collect citrus frags. This Alberto Morillas creation is one of the best I have smelled recently. A beautiful sparkling neroli lemon orange opening and an amazing light spicy floral elegant heart with a sterdy long lasting and projecting base with vetiver, patchouli and musk. The performance is excellent for a citrus and the entire duration is high quality with a very luxurious feel. My only complaint is the price.

Happy and friendly. Similar to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino, but less sharp and more Chanel-y. Reminds me of other neroli frags like Histoire d'Orangers Extrême/ L'Artisan Parfumeur, which also shares the pink pepper & musk. I can see it growing on me because it’s a “easy reach” for daytime in the summer. It’s calm and fades away nicely. It won’t challenge me or my neighbors, or last into the night, competing with my evening fragrance.

Fleeting but high quality and gorgeous neroli scent. There's something sweet and creamy in the drydown, I think it's the jasmine masquerading as a vanillic accord. Applied at 6:30AM or so and by 8AM I maybe have a scent bubble at elbow's distance at best. You can't really expect too much more out of something this light and airy though, all the fixatives necessary to stretch it out too much further would ruin the nature of it.

Top tier neroli a happy symphony of cold sparkling citruces and crisp white musk Perfect for hot days , its one of those scents that smells (( cool ❄️❄️ )) Great perfomance and logevity .. worth the splurge. Its a mature scent though not for too young or teens .. i picture a smart woman in a white suit going for a meeting wearing this .. Classy / clean / well put together 10/10 freshie !

I loved the Saharienne YSL launched a few years ago in the cut glass style bottle but never purchased a fb because the longevity was around two milliseconds! Is this basically the same scent reformulated in order to improve the staying power? If so I will definitely seek it out as it was a perfect blend of dry, bright citrus & delicate white floral notes on my skin!

This one reminds me of Infusion D'homme, so much that I would say that it is 80% the same but lasts longer. The smell of it reminds me of my old super hero toys that I had when I was growing up made from Vinyl. A really nice neroli that is unisex, clean and beautiful. Although this one is nice, I prefer Infusion D'homme because of the price difference.

A YSL fragrance with Chanel or Louis vuitton quality... this ironically doesn't have any Alberto Morillas signature style to it at all, but it does smell like a basic high quality citrus fragrance that i'd expect maybe Chanel or Louis Vuitton to release just not YSL.

This is no different than any other neroli fragrance with an aromatic (slightly aquatic) touch: Neroli Portofino, something-something from Frederic Malle, etc. etc. By the way, a representative from YSL actually told me it is the same fragrance relaunched

a beautiful fragrance! a precious cologne, it actually works well in winter as in summer time. A.Morillas is an expert of White musk, it reminds me of cologne Mugler, but in a different dimension.

one of the best fragrances in my collection reminds me of Louis Vuitton-Imagination but this is way more sexy and illegant,I love this smell and I guess this is my favorite blind but ever❤️

Citric with some syntetic neroly AVON type fragrance. Lasts one hour...weak and forgettable. 3 / 10 🥴

Reminds me of Eau Parfumé au The Vert de Bulgari. Very nice but rather too similar to have the two.

Celine parade but sweeter stronger. Noticeable. a margarita while doing laundry
