I have been wearing YSL Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli for a month and I couldn’t be happier. YSL Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli is more than a fragrance — it’s a feeling. From the first spray, it drapes over you like a perfectly tailored suit, giving you a quiet, magnetic confidence that stays with you long after the scent settles. The opening is crisp and refined, with violet leaf, coriander, and bergamot creating a fresh, lightly spicy brightness. It feels clean, modern, and effortlessly sophisticated — like taking a deep breath before stepping into an important moment. As the scent warms, the heart reveals a delicate blend of rose and lily-of-the-valley, softened yet sharpened by the subtle kick of black pepper. I've tried to place it alongside something familiar, and I keep coming up empty. That alone says something. What's remarkable is the sheer range of what's happening and yet how seamlessly it all coexists. Earthy, floral, spiced, warm, bitter and sweet in the same breath. The vanilla, which so often reads as cheap or cloying in lesser fragrances, is handled with real restraint here. It adds depth without sweetness becoming a liability. Somehow, all of this resolves into something harmonious rather than chaotic. That's not easy to pull off. That's a work of art. If quiet luxury had a signature scent, this would be a serious contender. And don't let the name fool you into thinking this is reserved for black-tie occasions only, that would be a waste. This works across seasons and settings with ease. The only places I'd leave it behind? The beach and the gym. Everything else is fair game. 10 out of 10.

Tuxedo, an icon of versatility and modern masculinity. Something so elegant and finesse like about this fragrance. It instantly elevates the environment and mood for me. It's classy, timeless, sophisticated, mysterious in a way. The clean, airy patchouli matched with the subtle touches of vanilla and amber with that ever so slight sparkle from bergamot on the top. Some folks detect a bit of smoky-ness, and to my nose I must be missing it. This is smooth as butter to me. This is about 99% true to the original DNA. This is by NO means a reformulation. But I will say, I detect an ever so slight bit more of the airy patchouli, and a touch less vanilla in the dry down. Perhaps it's a batch thing. But this is basically identical to the original so don't feel like you need to buy a new bottle. Performance is still great, even better actually. I wore this and could still detect it for about 8 hours. Not to mention it was projecting moderately for a while. I'm very happy with the performance on this, as it sits exactly where it should. Despite what some may say, this is appropriate all 4 seasons, with summer evenings being the focus if you wear it in summer.

I once possessed the legendary OG Tuxedo... a scent so powerful, it practically whispered compliments into the air before I even spoke. It was my signature during my prime era, the golden age of my olfactory dominance. But alas... the bottle ran dry. Tragic. So I grabbed a bottle of this so-called “Sharp Patchouli.” One spray and WOOH it was like the OG Tuxedo had gone on a secret mission through a smoky forest and came back with a vengeance. Richer, bolder, and somehow... more alive. it just cranks up the patchouli for a darker, drier, more provocative twist, with less sweetness. My friends, those loyal scent detectives who knew the OG like their own heartbeat said there’s no difference at all but its abit more masculine. But I swear... something’s off. Not bad-off. Just... enchanted. Like it was brewed under a full moon. Yep its back on track to be my signature scent! Performance seems to be much better, it doesn't fade away like the OG, i guess its better IN MY OPINION! from brother to a brother: If you already own the OG you don't have to get this one.

So i bought this as i had a small bottle hiding in my perfume drawers for ages but the original version and when I tried it ,I loved it. Jumped to ysl ,ordered and then realised it was this version ! I decided to try and wait b4 opening to see if i could get a tester ,couldn't ,so after having it for 2 months ive finally opened it !! Usually ,im not a fan of most of tbe notes mainly patchouli, but i love this ! Its quite a intimate sexy little number and it feels comforting tbh . As im just now testing its not too sweet not too sharp as the name suggests ,its quite easy on the nose and on my difficult ph ! As for longevity or sillage ,im not quite sure yet ,but as for now,its a yes for me !! The test on that will be when my oh comes home where ill be like hey sniff this lol !! 😆

Female Perspective ♀️👁: What Scent_Sniffer69 (Male) mentioned in the comments is so true , I just need to make an adjustment, since most reviews here are from a male perspective, so if you're ♀️A WOMAN ♀️ and loved the OG Tuxedo and you might think the Patchouli Sharp is leaning towards being a masculine scent, I am here to tell you that I was really afraid of this myself but now that I have it , I'd say it is still perfectly unisex and has everything that the OG had but bolder and with a better longevity ➕️ If you enjoyed the opening of the OG and wished for it to last longer , this happens in the Patchouli Sharp . My final verdict: I am in love , everything I loved about the OG is here and is stronger. IF YOU ARE A WOMAN COMFORTABLE WITH UNISEX SCENTS , DON’T BE DISCOURAGED!

Wow just got it and tested it against the old Tuxedo and even though they have the same notes, composition has changed. The new Tuxedo is slightly lighter greener and the patchouli comes across fresher. The projection and longevity is significantly better in the new one. I was expecting a decreased performance, to my surprise, the next day I tested it ,I took a shower and the whole composition came to life after about 10 hours. I really like the subtle changes that , to my personal taste, have made a big difference. Every one is going to have a different perspective and they’re fully entitled to, but I personally think the new Tuxedo is so much better in every way.

This fragrance got me hooked on Patchoulli. I have a friend who's addicted to fragrances introduce me to this, and I was hooked. It smells like an incredible clean version of encre noire, with a touch of vanilla sweetness - Warm Patchoulli Wood, vanilla, and Pepper. Smells like a guy with his world together, or a man that's going to a fancy event in the fall/winter. Very refined, dignified, and pleasant scent. Like a sober James Bond in a bottle. $330 is a bit for a bottle of this, so I'll put this on my wishlist for when I'm doing well financially, inshallah. 9/10.

elegance and class in a bottle. it's a "dressed up" kind of fragrance but it's just so good ill sometimes just wear it to work (diesel mechanic) because I love it. a small touch of sweet, a very light spice and freshness to it without feeling too "light" it's a perfect balance and blended beautifully. the projection is average and lasts a solid 8-10 hours. I've worn it in just about every temperature and weather and its enjoyable in about all, just adjust your spray count accordingly. the name suits it. put on a tux, spray away and enjoy.

Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli by YSL is one of those scents that has always been around me. Somehow a staple I’ve admired for years without ever actually owning, even though I’ve always meant to. It’s built around a smooth, slightly smoky patchouli, softened by a touch of sweetness from vanilla and subtle spice that keeps it refined rather than heavy. It comes across clean, confident, and effortlessly put together. A masterpiece. It is something you can wear anywhere and feel sharp. Definitely lives up to its reputation. I rate it a solid 9/10.

The black labeled private line and white labels are the same DNA, however different bottles. Fragrances naturally change with time, making it smell different than new bottles. This fragrance oddly reminded me of a ginger DNA, like tygar, vibrato, ect. However, with added depth to it. I really enjoyed this one. Smokey spices, black peper, woods, and smooth vanilla, such a nice warm, amber and floral scent. Lasts well, around 6-8 hours, with close projection. 7.6/10

Hi all , I recently found a little bottle of what i know now as the OG tuxedo ,squirreled away in one of my cosmetic bags . I hadn't liked it when I received it then I did ,in fact it wasnt a like it was a love ,when I found it again. Immediately went to ysl and ordered a bottle . I now have this version . Before I open it ,please can someone tell.me what they found to be different or is its worse or better? Any responses will be greatly appreciated ,thanks 😊

A beautiful, safe, crowd-pleasing fragrance that can be worn anytime — truly delightful. For some reason, it slightly reminds me of Terre d’Hermès, interestingly enough. The real issue is that despite all the praise, it has terribly poor performance (considering the price). The projection is almost unnoticeable to people around you; yes, it lasts around 6 hours, but only if you press your nose right up to where you sprayed it The scent :) The performance :(((

I love this scent! A slightly sweet, light, and airy violet leaf opening. As it dries down, it turns into a rosy and noir masculine scent on my skin. It's amazing. I've never worn the white-labelled Tuxedo bottle before. I'm content enough with "Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli" that I don't feel like I need to reach out for the white one. The performance is long-lasting as well, being able to detect the scent even after 9 hours. Truly an alluring scent in my opinion.

I have lots of frags but kudos to YSL, bc Tuxedo SP and Babycat RB are my two of my favorites of them all. Both anchored in Vanilla, Tuxedo is a bit more spicy and earthy with the coriander, pepper, and patchouli. I find it more versatile and a bit more masculine than Cat. For colder weather and special evenings Babycat is the best. But I really think Tux SP is the move the rest of the time. Phenomenal in every aspect with plenty of projection.

Great signature worthy scent. I think Tuxedo is one of those scents you could consider choosing if you had to pick one fragrance for life. It is not super unique/niche/different and exactly that makes it so good. You can wear this to work on monday or to dinner in a Tuxedo suit on a saturday. I dont spot any difference compared to the old one. I would say this is definitely a masculine scent and not unisex but you do you.

My most complimented fragrance among colleagues. Maceration for 5 months made a huge difference. It made it more sweet and almost the same as previous old ones. Now, I believe them that they did not reformulate it. After maceration It stays on clothes for more than a week. With 10 sprays it projects for 3 or 4 hours as a beast. I would try it in the summer nights with fewer sprays.

One of the most complex, unique and elegant scents I've ever put my nose to. A masculine, earthy, woody and floral vanilla fragrance done to perfection in my opinion, though I wouldn't say blind buy safe. This is something you'd smell on someone well dressed on their way to a lavish restaurant after a successful business meeting. Absolute stunner.

Smelt this in Selfridges and it blew me away. I bought a sample of it and can't stop spraying and smelling it. 100% my next fragrance, I genuinely think it's a 10/10. Once thing I don't get is that people are saying this can't be worn in summer, am I the only one that disagrees and thinks this can be worn any time/season/occasion?

I think you'd be hard pressed to find a fragrance with a name that embodies it more perfectly. This is class in a bottle, just perfect at what it does. This is the gold standard for special occasions and dressed up events. I actually thought I wasn't a fan of patchouli until I tried Tuxedo but this changed my mind completely.

Expensive but worth the price. Huge bottle that I would only use when I am going to have a serious conference, it always gives me good luck. People suggest wearing it in cooler days. I think if girls got serious work tasks to do, or if you want a powerful vibe, use it no matter what. It helps.

This is a beast right here! Super strong projection of 6' for the first couple of hours. Its gone after 6. Its would be a 10/10 if it wasn't so expensive. I have a 5ml and am ordering a 30ml right now. I need this on deck! Blind buy safe if your junk hangs to your knee.

This is a gorgeous fragrance. I personally don’t find it masculine at all, unisex with maaybe slight masc leaning. Nor does it feel sharp in any way. I feel very put together wearing it.

Receive the 75 ml bottle yesterday, love the smell, when you looking for the signature scent this one is really really good. For me is 9/10 the only reason non 10/10 is the price

This is nice blended male fragrance for formal occasion, fantastic scent I hope to wear this frag in office everyday but can't because the price is too high.

Like a toned down Isola Blu, which I also own. Doesn't last as long. Very happy with it though! And a stunning bottle, if that matters to you!

My top favorite perfume by far! It reminds me a lot of TF Ombre Leather but less leathery and very pleasant without overpowering ingredients.

Went to the Ysl boutique today to finally smell this and when they gave me the test strip, I was won over. My favourite type of scents are sharp green earthy scents and this ticked all the boxes. Had that rose there + a tiny bit of an animalic note giving it a really nice unique touch too. But, as we know with scents, you gotta give it time so we went around had lunch and the entire time, I still loved it. My fam said it smelled nice and different too. I had bdc exclusif on another strip too as I wanted to try that as well. Comparing the two, this was more unique and my kind of style. So I went back to the boutique and I sprayed one spray on my wrist. Still glorious for a few hours. The few hours part is important cause after those few hours of walking around, I got the vanilla. I loved the sharp green earthy part of the scent but when that vanilla started showing up, it wasn’t for me. Problem for me is that sweeter notes get intensified on my skin and the vanilla was very much there for me. I still think this is an amazing scent profile but if it stayed green, sharp and earthy, I would have bought it instantly. I’m back home now it’s been in total about 8 hours since I sprayed it. The vanilla is even more prominent. Glad I always follow the rule of checking throughly before buying a scent especially in this price bracket. Performance wise, no need to even bring it up. This is the newer version and it still really good. It is still projecting after all this time so I’d say it’s borderline eternal with strong projection. Overall, this is a really great beautiful scent profile. May have not been for me but if you like green scents with vanilla, this should be on your must smell list cause it s a multistage beauty.

I Love the smell, it just doesn't project at all. Wore it for 3 days and every time the smell was pretty underwhelming. I love more intimate/subtil fragrances that doesn't submerge the whole room but this one was too weak for me. I am not a big sprayer though, to me if you need 10 sprays to smell it, it's weak. I usually spray 4-6 times. Maybe it was just me and the way my skin reacted to it, but it is disappointing considering the price. The smell is great, i would definitely use it on a date night where I know I will get close to the person. works great for colder days as well.

It’s almost exactly the same as the OG Tuxedo, except the patchouli is (you guessed it) a little sharper. Smelling them side by side you can pick up the subtle difference, but I promise you nobody else will. If you don’t already ow Tuxedo and you’re obsessed with patchouli smells, could be worth getting. Already own the OG Tuxedo? Don’t waste your money.

I don't know what patchouli smells like but this fragrance smells like pure vanilla and suede to me and this is one of my all time favourite fragrances. But there's no different to the original tuxedo so just get the original tuxedo instead smells the same

Nice but not unique and overpriced for the smell

It is quite a unique fragrance and is very masculine and powerful. However, I’m truly disappointed with the longevity, especially considering it is price. You can expect this longevity from a cheap after shave, but for almost $400 you’d expect more. Will not buy it again, despite it being one of my favorites.

I remember I loved the white label Tuxedo but it's been a little while since I smelled it. This new Tuxedo I don't love as much. It might be the same scent, I'm not sure. The patchouli is a little too earthy for me. The dry down is also very vanillic. Not as attractive smelling as the white label

Highly disappointed. Bought because I loved the Turathi Brown take - turns out I like that one infinitely more. As a lover, and I mean used to wear exclusively, patchouli EO, this really hit a nerve with me. Something about the violet that made it rancid milk almost, that pepper is not helping.

Instead of "Tuxedo" they're now marketing "Tuxedo Sharp Patchouli" Just got a $300 bottle direct from YSL very exquisitely packaged. No scent. I mean not even a skin scent. Don't know what I'm spraying but there ain't no parfum. Contacted them and although I'd had it engraved with my initials they're willing to replace or refund.

One of the worst fragrances I’ve ever smelt in my entire life. Smells like I’m sitting in a giraffe enclosure at the zoo. Zero vanilla in this fragrance. VERY animalic. Not worth the hype it gets. Sorry but it’s a no for me dawg. -100/10

Pretty much zero perceptible difference between this and the original white label bottle - I have one on each hand. My white label is about 30ml remaining in a 125ml bottle and the black label is a nearly full 125ml that isn't very old. I don't even really notice any maturation/change from aging with the white label that differentiates it from the black label version - if you're REALLY trying to convince yourself, maybe the white label is 1% darker. No need to worry yourself about which is better, they're the same.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but White and Black Label Tuxedo have a big difference. On me, the Black Label is more youthful and almost has a cocoa note in the background, similar to Vanilla Diorama. The White Label, though, is so nice, dark, and mysterious. I like both, but the White Label is better and more addicting. Black Label is easier to wear due to the less masculine, less dark smell. Black Label is super long-lasting and has beautiful performance overall, but White Label has only alright projection.

EXCELLENT. I had the previous white label. I liked it, and sold it. The new black label i’m keeping. The white label was more unbalanced. Was more single note dominate if that makes sense. THE CURRENT BATCH, is much smoother, and deserves the name TUXEDO. To me, its much more versatile, its a little less noisy if thats a thing but in a great way. I didnt know what to expect, but i have to say, im VERY HAPPY with this purchase. Cheers.

I had such high hopes for this, but (on me anyway) it’s probably the weakest fragrance I’ve ever had. You have to almost bury your face into your skin to detect it. That said, you can detect it for a long time. But it’s far too intimate for me. I don’t need it to blast out but you expect to project a tad. This doesn’t. Maybe it was the batch? It was a John Lewis purchase.

One of the best openings IMO. Dry-down is excellent but sits closer to the skin with 8+ hours of longevity. For those who keep thinking what's the difference between the white and black label, there is no difference. YSL rebranded their private lines while keeping the juice the same. For me personally, 9/10 scent.

Loving this ADN 🧬 makes you more judgmental, this new Tuxedo take it’s practically the 90% from the last one. The new 10% is more sweet, but unfortunately the last formula keeps shocking this, even in performance, this gave me so much less performance time but I cannot regret it. I will die for the Tuxedo line.
