Vice Versa

Profumo ottimo un vero must da donna! Particolare ed unico due aggettivi per questa fragranza. La sua apertura e la sua anima sono acide ma con la foglia del pomodoro, la peonia ed il muschio non poteva essere altrimenti. La lieve dolcezza è data dal lampone e dal melone che nonostante sono note fruttate escono dal cuore del prodotto e non dalla testa come riporta la piramide olfattiva (almeno per il lampone) infine buona è la longevità, intenso il sillage. Chapeau. Profumo 9/10 Sillage 9/10 Longevità 9/10

This fragrance is my all time favourite. Period. I have never smelled anything nearly similar before or ever since. It breaks my heart that it's not sold anymore. I'm praying YSL will bring it back in La Collection, it would be a dream come true. I bought my first bottle in 2001 and was lucky enough to find a backup in 2012. I wear it only on very special occasions. I sometimes have a sniff from the sprayer and I'm enchanted.

I still have one kept safely in its BOX, which I use it in very Special occasions. It is one of my favourite perfumes ever.... - a perfume that I fell in love with from the very first time and I will never "forgive" YSL for stop producing/selling it. It is a sweet perfume with a unique in my opinion smell. I would love to find a similar fragrance with a big resemblance to Vice versa again.....

So good. So short-lived. So impossible to find. Vice/Versa. It was girly/womanly, sparkling like a miracle/approachable like an orange trees garden, for daywear/nightwear. Alice in wonderland indeed.

i really loved this one because of its classy and spicy smell; it has indeed a hint of tomato leaf, but still a very agreeable perfume. too bad it can't be found anymore!:(

Just purchased this from second-hand shop. The price for 90ml bottle was only 25 euros! I love this very dearly, it's so fresh, feminine and bright.

One of my favorites! It smells like tomatos dipped in a champagne glass. So different so zesty and classy.

All I can say is that I hope YSL will bring it back! I miss it so badly! Sigh.

2 words: TOMATO LEAVES. so in love with this. amazing.

One I appreciated in its day but didn’t own. Buying perfume back then was out of my budget and I stuck to deep sale or resold partial bottles. Owning this after winning a charity auction at a very low price, I can say I’m very happy to have it. In a time of beast mode, this beauty is strong! At least on my skin. Fresh and lightly fruity this scent hadn’t yet developed the sweetness of early 2000s fruity floral fruitchoulis. Instead the tomato leave floats in as a whisper. There, but not overpowering and gives the fruits some structure and clarity. From here I get more soapy floral notes that are airy and gauze-like. She projects off the skin very well and feels cool and lush like you have fresh cut green stems amongst these blue and pink florals. Makes me feel nostalgic and peaceful. Very wearable still - fits in the clean girl realm without all the laundry musks or ambroxan.

Off the beaten path and refreshing. Vice Versa is a bit similar to In Love Again - which is one of my all-time favourites. In Love Again is more sweet and classically feminine (I write classically, because I think everyone should make free choices of what to wear, independent of their biological equipment). But they both are uplifting and best in summer. And relatively shortlived. Now that I think of it: There are three YSL perfumes that form a daisy chain in my nose: To me Babydoll, In Love Again (first version), and Vice Versa seem to be connected, with in Love Again in the middle. In its first version, In Love Again shares the rose and the tangy fruits with Babydoll, and the tomato leaf with Vice Versa. If In Love Again is holding Vice Versa's right hand, DKNY Women takes the left one. At least during the first hour.

This is a very interesting fragrance to me! I was a bit unsure about the tomato note, as to me when I think of what a tomato smells like my mind goes to ketchup on a paper towel, but this was nothing of the sort! She reminded me more of fresh tomatoes cut straight off of the vine, grown in a garden full of other fruits and flowers to enhance the scent profile. She's nicely long lasting and I do enjoy wearing her, she's a very garden-y scent to me and gives natural, clean, greenhouse vibes. I like her a lot!! ♡

Juhu finaly i got my hands one a big bottle off this perfume again. it is so feminin sensuel. fresh , clean and sophisticated to me . the freshnes off red berrys miksed so well whit whit flowers , not just Tuberose , but others to , and the lovely tomato leaf note mmm. it sounds strange , but it is very nice in this one . And this one last for a long long time , strong and fresh all day longe. im so so happy i found this again.

Looking at the notes on this again . i reamember ther was some tomato leafs in it asweel.. a very unik smell back then i remember, I found it very different and whit many different notes . so im very surprised not to see more notes listed . but maybe im remembering it wrong...

This was quite a distictive fragrance, I used to quite like it and remember it was quite dominantly orange scented- think I mainly loved it for it's bottle though.

I really wanted to love this. The notes sound so interesting, I'm a cherry tomato addict in real life and I dream of a fresh fragrance with a noticeable but well-blended tomato note. Vice Versa with all those lovely berries, fruits and florals sounded like it could be just it. Then I won it in a giveaway from a very generous fragrantican and couldn't believe my luck. But when I finally had it, it was not what I expected at all. The opening is green and fresh, but you can only imagine the tomato if you're really looking for it. Additionally I get a waxy sweetness that reminds me of white chocolate, really strange. As the fragrance dries down that vanishes, and what's left is a very light, close to the skin floral. I mainly get orange blossom, blended with some other flowers, warmer base notes and a light splash of mandarin. The composition smells older than something from 1999 to me. And it doesn't match the gorgeous, cool presentation. I would have put this into a more classic, simple bottle and a white box with flowers and greenery on it. It doesn't smell bad, it just doesn't move me. I would not mind to smell it on others. But I sampled it a lot, in winter, in spring, in summer, and never ever feel like wearing it, so I'll have to find a new home for this one. Obviously my bottle is old, as Vice Versa is long discontinued, but it really doesn't smell turned at all (no stinging alcohol opening, no celery note etc.), just completely different from what I imagined. Therefore I wouldn't recommend to blind-buy this based on notes and reviews, get a sample/decant first.

This brings some memories,my older sister had this when i was a little girl and i loved the bottle because of the heart shape.I liked the smell back then,but i dont really remember exactly how it smelled.It was kinda floral and soft.Maybe also like some perfumes from the 80`s..

i was ecpecting something very heavy and lil retro but it is not anything like this.It is too light ,or at least too light for my nose which is used to havier smells.It is perfect for summer,non offensive smell.

First off, I hold YSL in very high regard. However, there are $1 hairsprays that smell better this. From the second I put it it on all I wanted was for it to end. Seriously, dreadfully bad.

Agree with Nuria Rose, it resambles ketchup smell a lot.
