Y Eau de Parfum Intense

Wow! I thought I was going crazy, because I just woke up after a night out with this scent rubbed onto my bed sheets and I was surprised by the wave of nostalgia I was hit with that took me back to 2012. Then, it immediately hit me that this smelled almost exactly like Gucci Guilty Intense, which I received as a Christmas present from my sister in 2011 and happened to be the first ever ***serious*** fragrance I ever owned at 12 years of age. So, here I go rushing to Fragrantica and thinking that I must be crazy since I don't see Gucci Guilty in the "Reminds Me Of" section; but then again it's just the entire Y-line. I'm prompted to click the next section and sure enough there it is with 26 agreements (now 27) and 20 against. The one in reference is the original, and not the Intense, but the Original and the Intense version smell nearly identical. Hell, the two aren't even a year apart as Gucci released the "intense" version just months after the original and both were sold as an EdT - the entire line was sold as EdT actually, from the Original to Black and all the other flankers, until the line was redone back in 2020/21. It's a happy discovery, with memories of last night thinking "where do I know this scent?" each time I got a whiff of it on myself. And sure enough, all the criticisms of this scent being "generic" also coincide with the very same criticisms of Gucci Guilty and Gucci Guilty Intense back then. Now, onto the actual review of it. Funnily enough I got this as a late Christmas present from my other sister 13 years later after Gucci Guilty Intense was my first. We went to Macy's and I sampled both the EdP onto the back of my left hand and the Intense (this one) onto my right - not the greatest spray-point in hindsight but I was wearing a long sleeve under my coat so I had to make do. Scent: 7/10 - when looking at it from a viewpoint of uniqueness. Also, as others have stated this isn't really an intense version of the original. It loses the majority of the sweetness that you get from the apple. Projection: 9/10 - I could get whiffs of the scent as the night went on, which coincides with most of the strong performers I have in my collection. Longevity: 9/10 - I was tempted to give this a 10/10, but with the now modern day standard of everyone wanting a scent that lasts 12+ hours (...why?) then I have to give this a point just under. I said earlier that I tested the original EdP and the Intense version. Around 5 hours in I could smell the original much stronger than the Intense version - the sweetness of the original coming through almost making me blind to the Intense. I had to reset my nose by clearing it before smelling the intense version, whereas if I smelled the Intense version first, I could still immediately smell the sweetness of the original EdP right after. This is where things get interesting though, after about 9 hours the original EdP completely vanished from my skin whereas the Intense version still lingered. (It was gone by the time I went to sleep and awoke, which was about 17 hours after spraying it on my skin for the first time). Overall: 10/10 - yes, I know that a score of 7, 9, 9(10) doesn't exactly have the makings of a "perfect fragrance" but as the memories of a boy that was in love with his first cologne, Gucci Guilty Intense, and so desperately wished that it was a better and longer lasting performer - and this fragrance being just that - it can't be anything but perfect in my eyes.

This is one of my first expensive perfumes, and let me tell you, I really like it. Originally, I was going to buy the basic version of Y (the normal Y Eau de Parfum) but ended up buying this one instead. I'm not disappointed . The scent really sticks to the skin, even more so on clothes. I can go through a whole day, and the scent is still lingering against my clothes (I do two sprays, sometimes three). I have no idea what the notes are, but I can really tell that it is spicy. It fills and tickles the nostrils. It's fresh and surprisingly light, even for an Eau de Parfum Intense. This is my everyday wear, and I honestly feel like you can wear it regardless of the season. It's kind of my wild card, in a way. The only thing I regret is that the somewhat sweet smell of the normal Y EDP (probably the green apples, something like that) is just gone, only to be replaced by the previous spicy scent. I don't dislike it, but I kind of miss it. Overall, I like this perfume. It can work in any situation, like a hangout or a small date, and it is really pleasant to smell. But if you want to do something bigger, especially during winter, you might want to use something else, since I find it a little bit too "sporty" or "fresh." But then again, that's just my personal feeling. For a first-time purchase, I'm really satisfied.

i remember when i first tried and bought this, i pictured swimming deep under the ocean, surrounded by dark blue water but not completely devoid of light, similar to the bottles color. now, i get less of the marine/watery feel and more of a mature take on y edp. it removes the green apple that y edp is known for and increases the aromatic and woodiness of it. the fresh bergamot and ginger disappears within an hour and leaves you with the sage lavender geranium common in ysl y. its aromatic, herbal and woody with a slight twinge of sweetness, and while it is suitable for the summer, honestly i feel like its better for the spring/fall, where it's not too warm nor too cold. i will say ive been getting a bit bored of this scent recently (and a lot of other designers in general ngl) but it still functions nicely as a dumb reach for work, gym, errands, etc and imo its a bit more versatile than y edp during colder weather performance is decent, projects decently and lasts 5-7 hours with 3-4 sprays smell 7/10 performance 7/10 price 6/10 overall 6.5/10, honestly if you want something fresh get y edp, if you want something more mature get y le parfum, its not too bad but i feel like you should go for one or the other

One of the best in the Y line guys. No synthetic feel which is what I expected with this one. The opening draws you right in. Smells incredible through the mid as well. Dry-down smells good but not as good as the fantastic opening and mid here. They say the apple was taken out but you still pick it up just not as much as the EDP. This one has an unstoppable fresh combination of smooth lavender, juniper, and geranium that blends so nicely. This is one of my most complimented fragrances. Women will follow it around no joke. For example, I was out one day at a store and I overheard 2 women talking about someone smelling "really good" and of course I knew it was me. Anyway, when they figured out it was me, one of them walked up and stood next to me and started rubbing my shoulder and said "omg you smell so nice what are you wearing"..So I told her and they gave me a couple more compliments on it before we parted. I could see the look in their eyes that they were truly attracted to my scent. Compliments don't mean much to me but if you wear this be prepared to receive some attention. But just like the EDP, don't overspray because if its too strong it can kind of give off an obnoxious type of vibe so be easy.

This is so beautifully made!! Smells way more mature and sophisticated than original YSL EDP. This reminds me of the Le Parfum, but more refined. Just imagine Dolce & Gabbana The One EDP mixed with YSL Y Le Parfum, you will get this. Fresh and sweet at the same time, beautifully mix of ginger, lavender with juniper berries. Tonka bean sweetness along with vetiver in the base, smells so beautiful. I understand why some people believe that this release was unnecessary, because the difference between the other two releases is not that big. But it is different enough, if you own any other Y in the line, then you don’t need this. But if you are looking to buy a Y fragrance, then i 100% recommend you to buy the EDP Intense or Le Parfum. The Y EDP is a bit immature and overwhelmingly sweet chemical. The EDP Intense and Le Parfum are more refined and well crafted. Scent: 10/10 Versatility: 10/10 Price: 10/10 Longevity: 10/10 Overall: 10/10. This is not the perfect fragrance, but based on how beautifully crafted it is and how versatile it is, along with the outstanding performance. You have to give it a 10/10! Highly recommended if you are looking for a daily driver.

Love love LOVE this stuff! More mature smelling as they've removed apple, which takes the shower gel vibe away. I get over 8 hours of longevity on my skin, with a nice scent bubble for about two hours, although I don't believe it pushes out too far. But, Y edp is so loud that it announces your presence before you even enter a room. This is more grown up, for people who don't want to scream "Hey, I'm wearing cologne!" The added lavender gives this a clean, almost soapy touch. Very modern, masculine and sophisticated. It just flat out smells fantastic, and is NOT redundant in my opinion. I own this entire line, and I think this is the best release yet. I know, I know, this opinion will be extremely unpopular. As with DH2020, this fragrance could've been called something else, maybe Y EDP Silver edition? Something like that. My current ranking of this line: 1) Y EDP Intense 2) Y Live 3) Y Le Parfum 4) Y EDP 5) Y EDT 6) Y Eau Fraiche Do not listen to the hate. Go and smell this amazing fragrance.

This is the most masculine and mature out of the Y line. I own most of them and this is my favorite, followed closely by elixir, then the OG EDP. I would recommend any of them except le parfum (not bad, just not as good as the rest to my nose). The opening is similar to the rest of the Y family, but this doesn't really have the crisp apple scent that Y is known for. Instead, you have a bit of bergamot/sage. The drydown trades the some of the usual soapiness for more wood. That's where this one shines. This is like a woody shower gel in the best way. Similar to BDC Parfum, but with a YSL twist. This is dark enough to use for a date night but clean enough to wear to the office. This punches above it's weight class and may bump BDC out of my normal rotation. My first use was 5 sprays (2 neck, 2 wrists, one chest). Longevity was pretty good; It projected a little past arms length for 2-3 hours but was still fairly strong on skin at the 10-12 hour mark. 8.5/10 - Highly recommend.

Y EDP Intense is, without a doubt, the best flanker of the Y line. The fragrance boasts a remarkable quality, setting it apart from its predecessors. It's more mature, dirtier, and earthier compared to the other flankers, making it ideal for a badass man rather than the playful teenagers targeted by the original. I'm puzzled by those who find it boring. To me, it's complex, classy, and exudes maturity. If you want to smell like a badass masculine man, the Intense version is your go-to. I don't understand the appeal of the standard EDP version. It comes across as sharp and synthetic, with an apple note that sometimes smells chemical and can make me feel sick. In contrast, the Intense version offers a much higher quality experience—it's smoother, cleaner, and darker. For me, it's the definition of Y perfection. Rating: Smell: 10/10 Projection (6 sprays): 2 hours Performance: 8/10 A fantastic release from YSL.

This is YSL Y EDP's quieter older brother. The Y DNA is certainly there, but there is a just enough difference between them. Y EDP Int. removes that "fun" apple note and replaces it with a lavender, vetiver, and more prominent juniper berry accord. Not to say that this one is boring, but it's definitely feels more tame. This one feels a little bit more "icy" or "cool" which reminds me of a fresh "blue" shower gel, making this one less of a statement maker if that makes sense. I personally would say that I prefer this profile over the EDP, but the EDP is probably the more impressive creation. I like to wear this one when I go golfing, typically in the morning. It wakes me up a bit. And while it may only stick around with me for the front 9, I still enjoy it. I find myself having a hard time trying to pin point the notes and describe this fragrance, so I'll leave it at "good. 7/10

I blind bought it after reading/watching reviews and after the initial spray I really regretted it. The main note I could smell was the juniper berry and pine. It gave me a forest car air freshener vibe, and I definitely didn’t want to smell like that. I listed it on eBay the same day and didn’t think about it twice. However, that’s not true. I did think about it, because I wanted to like it and I was confused what am I missing that others can see in this. So while I still had it I kept giving the sprayer a whiff every now and again. And I kept going back to it. Although it wasn’t a love at first whiff, it has something addictive in it. I ended up cancelling my listing and kept it. It became one of my daily drivers. I also own the og Le Parfum and L’Elixir. I keep the other 2 as more evening/special occasion scents and I keep coming back to this.

A very different Y-perfume. This does not remind me much of Y EDP. This is like a niche version. Much darker and a lot of wood. This is a woody fresh scent. Very mature and masculin. Not for "young" guys. Definitely a + 30 years old perfume. Very unique compared to the others. Perfect suit fragrance. If you are 17 years old and wear sneakers, then buy the normal Y-line (EDT / EDP). I like it. Not synthetic at all, which is a first for the Y line... ;) It smells better after 10 minutes on skin. This is a mature perfume, that is very deep and in my opinion, this is maybe confusing for the Y-line, but it is still a recommendable buy for you who has never had a "woody" perfume. It is NOT a sweet perfume, unlike Y EDP (normal) that is very sweet.

12 hours later...this stuff is still kicking off of my skin. Olfactory fatigue may be an issue with this one that's why you may see all of the performance complaints. I feel like the EDP Intense is on par with EDP in terms of projection and longevity, you just don't get that sticky sweetness, which I like, from the apple in the EDP. I own the EDP, Le Parfum, and EDP Intense, and out of all 3, this one is the most versatile imo. You can literally wear this at any time of the year. This will be the one I probably will wear the most and save the other 2 for more special occasions. Experience this by wearing it for a while before you review it. It's a beautiful fragrance the way it wafts in and out throughout the day.

The original Y EDP is a perfect, modern, lively, sparkling, and charismatic fragrance with enviable performance and sillage. EDP Intense, while not aiming for the same target, is perfect in its own way. It's a powerful and mature fragrance, not as invasive as the original EDP, but with a lasting strength that doesn't tire but rather embraces. Very masculine, mature, with classic and masculine notes for the modern gentleman. If you are over 28 years old and want to project maturity, I recommend giving it a chance. If you are between 20 and 40 and want to project energy, the original EDP is irreplaceable. I don't see it as redundant to have both; on the contrary, as soon as you can, go for the original EDP.

I went to YSL boutique to smell all of Y's. I had them sprayed on me to see how they smell later. The Apple note makes you feel like the usual citrus perfume, even if it had a special scent it still makes you feel it's common. But this one on the other hand has a unique smell during the Juniper note, it's so beautiful that I ordered in the next day. It's like tunning your guitar half down, still sounds great, and if you play the right notes it will even sounds better. One thing I dislike is SILLAGE, it's poor and I think I have to leave the perfume on a dark closet for a while to make it better, I mean it felt great at the store. One of the greatest SummerSpring all day perfume!

One of the most versatile fresh fragrances ever, very mass-appealing and a guaranteed compliment magnet. It features a prominent sage note with peppery and woody undertones, followed by vibrant bergamot and a hint of ginger. It carries a slight warm, woody sweetness despite lacking the memorable apple note found in the original Y. Overall a more mature, sophisticated version of the original and wearable all year round. Lasts all day long and the sillage is above average tbh, if you're with a large group of people you'll definitely stand out and longer it settles down on your skin, the better it smells. Easily the best one out of the Y line and a perfect signature scent

after quite some time i just.. really have this love hate with this flanker 😩 ok so you'll know straight up this is edp's more mature version, no power punch sweetness no more, giving more clean and earthy aromatic vibe than the edp. BUT! the hate comes from when i overspray a bit, somehow the patchouli mix base is overpowering everything.. like seriously choking.. especially when i sprayed on my skin and gets heated up.. DEFINITELY less is more. then i started to spray on my clothes only.. fortunately it works better. then again, this is such beautiful clean mature scent character that i really love.. if only it doesnt have a risk to become patchouli bomb ugh😅!

My favourite mens perfume. A very safe fresh smell which I, as well as a lot of others, gravitate towards. I spent a while at the fragrance counter picking this out for my cheating ex back when my nose wasn’t so used to smelling perfumes. I smelt this next to Dior Sauvage Elixr and Bleu de Chanel as well as some other unmemorable ones. My untrained nose found them all pretty similar, but I remember I found Dior too spicy and Bleu de Chanel didn’t have such an intoxicating smell to it like this YSL one does. Luckily my ex didn’t really end up wearing this so I hope I’ll be able to smell it in the future without being traumatised. Might even buy it for myself!

This doesn't smell like the other y's- which I'm happy about. I didn't like the apple note in the older ones. This has a soapier base with an obvious wood background. Even in the drydown it's not very similar to the edp. The top notes are more hidden than the edp. It projects moderately and has a longevity of about 8 hrs (6 of which are a skin scent) I'd say this is not redundant to any of the Y's. I'd agree with this being more mature but it's not dated. And it's not just an edp with a lack of apple like the other have said. This would be considered parfum concentration and you can see the oil on your skin after you spray. I like it

Whenever new designer blue perfumes come out, even before I test it I'm thinking basic. Then I test and basic. Even with this yesh it's nice but basic. Having owned this for s month, wow this is great. Slightly shower gel blue frag, very good performance, refreshing.. Nothing new but nothing wrong with this. Such a great blend. This is almost up there with Blue de chanel parfum & Percival. Those are my best blue frags. This is now in the third spot which I will happily rotate among them. Great stuff 9.5/10 - losing a point as it could be slightly more dense and not as versatile as other blue perfumes.

The best YSL fragrance of all time. Hands down. What you should expect is an effervescent, bubbly fragrance with a deeper, more rich contrast to the original. Very complex flavor profile. This is at the sweet spot for being interesting and standing out while being a tasty juniper berry at the same time. YSL Y EDP is like the little brother to this scent who thinks he knows it all, while this is the esoteric rizz god that has transcended the game entirely. It's honestly very hard to find better than this and fair warning, many noses would find this too artificial. But for me personally It's a 9.8/10

The intense edp is underrated. People complaining thinking it’s a intense version of ysl y edp. It’s not it removes that apple note. I had ysl y edp and the amount of times I smell it now in public even more than Dior I can’t. Had someone at gym even tell me “is that ysl y edp I have it too” and that’s when I knew. The apple note on y edp makes it a little for guys barley entering college. The intense edp is this really good shower gel type smell. More masculine. You can smell the berries a bit wish it was a lil more. It’s a everyday fragrance and everyone needs a everyday fragrance that is GOOD.

Smooth, versatile and masculine. Best of the Y’s to include the myself line. Myself EDP would win if it lasted longer however, it’s very youthful, better for younger guys. L’Absolu smells like dryer sheets to me, good, but boring and not very masculine. The iced and EDP intense are very similar. Iced is just lighter, brighter and doesn’t last as long. Everyone’s hyping iced when EDP intense literally smells the same just denser and lasts longer minus the mint note that only lasts in the opening of iced for about 10 minutes.... But ok. EDP intense, in my opinion is best value for money. 🤷♂️

This may be an unpopular opinion, but Y EDP intense is my favorite of the Y lineup. It’s a little more incense-y and a little bit heavier in the base, and is a bit more smooth and mature than the other Ys. It projects really well and in my opinion is very suitable for colder days and for the evening. It still has versatility for daytime wear, maybe just use a bit less during the day. I love the clean finish it has from the lavender. Though it has clean notes, it’s not soapy nor powdery. For me it’s an exciting yet balanced approach to the never-ending blue fragrances you see these days.

I have never owned a Y before this one and when looking through them online and testing in store, this one felt like my pick being an older man in my 30s who wears cologne in a professional work setting. It doesn't have that cloying and loud apple note which is playful but not sophisticated and I like that aspect about it. The smell upon first spray has that elegant ginger spice and berries and its truly beautiful, masculine and smooth! I am very satisfied with this and glad I chose this flanker in the line. Good stuff, especially if you like the Y DNA and want something more mature.

This is not my usual type of scent and I wouldn’t buy it based on the notes here. But whilst browsing in duty free i sprayed it on my wrist. I left thinking nothing off it. Meanwhile my flight was delayed and whilst having a beer at the bar I smelt how amazing this fragrance is. It’s so bright, juicy fresh and clean. It is a blue scent, but it’s a very highly refined and quality blue scent. You can’t not enjoy this. I went back and bought a full bottle when I finished my beer. this will be a daily driver for me now, my partner complimented this as soon as she smelt it.

Y Eau de Parfum Intense is the scent of a man chasing purpose with quiet confidence. The way the bergamot and ginger come together smells like morning ambition. The deep woods and patchouli smell like determination. It’s the smell of clean success—fresh shirt, bold ideas, and endless drive. Every spray feels like a promise to outdo yesterday. Get this if you don’t want to smell too childish and immature like the regular EDP. This is a better option if you’re more mature and grown up. Beautiful woody and berry smell that smell heavenly. This is the best YSL in the entire line and is one that definitely turns heads! Wore this at a club once and people couldn’t stop asking what it was. Very good longevity on my skin and top notch smell, everything about this is perfect for a YSL and would recommend giving it a try at your local Sephora. 10/10 in every aspect!

I’m not inherently attracted to the more concentrated side of YSL‘s Y line. As a matter of fact, I can’t stand le parfum - but this fragrance is absolutely gorgeous! This juice takes the crowd pleasing DNA from the EDP and turns it into this unique, intense, beautiful scent that coaxes my nose back for more. This has eons more of a “mature” factor that anything else in the line. The “intensity” seems to be a slightly darker EDP with sweeter notes towards the middle. Amazing release from YSL :)

this is a kind of fragrance that garners you compliments and positive attention. i cannot say it is very linear type of scent too, the scent profile is pretty modern ( read: a bit generic ) and not very unique but the quality is good. and the way the scent transitions from opening to mid to base notes it is good. if someone is wearing this fragrance my suggestions is to be generous with the number of sprays, anything between 10-15 sprays is great! overall 8.5/10

Best Y flanker I've tried, between le parfum and the original EDP. Love the clean, soapiness of it, will be a go to for spring and summer. Does the simple, clean type of fragrance much better than much of the competition in my eyes, even within YSL's own fragrances (Myslf...). If you can get this one on a deal, definitely worth it. The performance is amazing too. Projects throughout an entire workday in customer service where I'm doing about 10k steps per shift.

Bought this over the regulary edp thinking it was going to be intense smelling. Has about the same longevity as the edp. More mature y DNA. If y edp is for 16-22 yr olds due to the apple note, intense is for 18-30 with a more woody sophisticated smell. The opening is insanely strong, had my friend smell me from 10 feet away. performance is alright, thought it would have a scent bubble all day but I guess not. Dumb reach mass appealing freshie. 8/10

IMO this is one of the best blue fragrances it’s woodsy and soapy very sophisticated sexy smooth masculine clean out of the shower type of fragrance great for a signature scent and long lasting for a blue fragrance and decent projection Is it unique no not really but idc I just care about smelling good and not all men wear fragrances so I’m fine with not being as unique smelling this is a solid 9/10 for me.🪵🧼

My favorite of the Y line by far and one of my favorite scents period. The only downside is it's easy to go nose blind to it. However, trust that other people will smell it on you. I thought it was very weak at first and used 6 sprays. I went nose blind about 5-10 minutes later. Then I walked into the room my girlfriend was in, and she commented on how strong it was when I walked by her.

Guys you have to smell this one before buying, it is everywhere so no excuses. It has nothing to do with the EDP, that one its a sweet, loud, young clubbing fragrance...very good but sadly not for me anymore. The intense version is more of an all situation, mellow, grown up scent that wont bother anyone. It is my favorite Y by far, but I don't know if it belongs in this line.

We have all of the notes of a fougere, but the sweetness in my opinion removes it from that category. I find it very similar to EDP however I recently learned that the application effects its transitions. I need to try this with only one spray to see if it makes a difference. I hope to change my opinion on the drydown eventually once I figure out how to wear it. 9/10

My personal favorite from the Y line mainly due to the fact that I cannot stomach the apple note(cloying) used in the previous variations. This is a more mature not very playful scent that carries an aura of business with it. Signature scent worthy and can be worn at any time of year. Very masculine. Projection and longevity are both above average here. Scent: 8/10

I wasn’t a big fan in the beginnig but I’m starting to like it more as I get used to it. As it dries down it gets a smoky and earthy character. Smells very woody and foresty on my skin. It smells like something a motorcyclist or firefighter would wear as an everyday scent. Not the most romantic fragrance. This is not a teenager fragrance, it is definitely mature.

Absolutely love this, the projection in the first thirty minutes to an hour is huge. Very masculine without being boring, a big love for me and also a safe blind buy IMO. I wear it in late fall/early spring since the performance in the winter isn't that good. Definitely sweet, also reminds of shower gel but in the best way possible. A very safe scent. 9.5/10

I bought this recently and I am blown away by the smell. It smells so good and lots of people at school think the same. I use about 4 sprays and I believe it’s perfect for enough projection where people can smell next to you but it’s not cloying. It lasts forever too, my mom could smell it on my skin when I sprayed it 12 hours earlier

I’ve owned every Y fragrance in the lineup and this so far is my favorite one. Much more mature, which is more my taste. An overall smooth sophisticated blue scent. It can be worn all year round as the performance is good on my skin and clothing. It’s a fragrance that’ll put you in a good mood the more you smell it.

If you're reviewing this negatively despite not owning it or owning it and not giving it at least 4 months of regular use and maceration, you should be banned from this site forever. also the loud sweeteness of the other versions SUCKS. Trash for literal children going to nightclubs.

I find this as the least unique scent out of all in this YSL Y line up! I’m not saying it is not good, it is pretty decent and a very non-linear scent for sure but still I feel it is so simple. EDP was very very unique because of its apple note. Who agrees with me ?

This goes so far under the radar because of its younger brother. The lavender note makes this a deeper scent and honestly makes you forget about that hyped apple opening Every time I open this cap I get taken back to the most wonderful time in my life 10/10

I did not care for the Ode to parfum but for some reason there's something in the intense version that captivates me it's that Woody Juniper and the tone down sweetness it's just right in my opinion fantastic take on the DNA the best one in the line

Best from the Y line in my opinion. incredible opening, just feels so vibrant. been through 3 bottles of this in 2 years it's that good. perfect for everyday, only problem is that it definitely could've had a bit of the apple accord from the Y EDP.

as a broke perfume tester, wishing to have a decent cologne collection, ts is what i mean, first off, the smell is just as what it is for the audience or what the audience is. Nonsense aside, ts is good everywhere just like Maison Alhambra's Yeah!

If you don't love the green apple+sage from the edp, you may like the berries+lavander from this one. I do like it better than the base edp. I always felt the edt&edp were a bit younger for me, and this one feels a bit more mature and interesting.

A very wonderful scent, one of the occasional ones that my wife asks 'what's that you're wearing.' Trouble is after five minutes I can no longer smell it. Intense? Wish I'd seen the reviews and both the edp instead. Hate to waste money like that.

Removed the sweetness component which I love because sweet perfumes are less manly and you get a more masculine scent. Very nice release from YSL. I would say that this is the best of the YSL Y line and is very versatile.
