Y Le Parfum 2025

Im shocked how low this is rated! Yes, it pales in comparison to the 2021 version, that's not up for debate, however this isn't bad. Despite the pine needles & balsam fir im surprised how sweet the opening is! Its slightly resinous, airy & floral from the geranium. Its bergamot is very strong (most fragrances that have it, you barely detect it but it legitimately smells like realistic fruit) - still detect that green apple that the entire line has even though its not officially listed above or online; the entire Y DNA has it, even the other discontinued Eau Fraiche had hints of it, so I do agree with the people below who detect faint green apple! Remember the official notes don't also include everything, especially the same base DNA which yes, fragrance companies do keep quiet about to perserve scent DNA. Im also shocked people are having performance issues, i do four sprays & it fills the room for several houes (2-3), before reducing to a 3ft bubble for majority of drydown before finally resting into a skin scent around hour 8. I had to start under spraying because people said it was too strong which I almost never have that issue with newer age fragrances due to ingredient bans reducing performance. Its a great every season fragrance, i love it! Definitely a 4.0/5.0 rating, as of my review its sitting at a 3.86! Which is hard to beleive, yet i do still think the 2021 version is one of the best mens releases of the last 20 years. So on those merits alone I cant be upset, I think as the months pass this will settle into the early 4.0's where it belongs SHAME ON YSL though because every new reformulated Y line (le parfum) or discontinued (Live, Eau Fraiche) is much much better, theyre starting to smell too similar, the newest iced cologne; also perfumed with Dominique Ropion, smell too similar. Theres no point owning the various entries because they keep making them fraternal twins! Dont homogeneous this Y DNA because its not going to help the brand. . .

For all the absolutely scathing reviews the new 2025 reinterpretation of YSL Y Le Parfum has been getting in this thread, I offer a diametric contrast in how I feel about it. I flat out love this cologne, and I think it is a sophisticated rephrasing of an already outstanding olfactory statement. I enjoy the original Le Parfum, as well, and I think the two can be classified as two sides of the same coin without rash comparison to the other versions of Y. This is a marvelous Summer fragrance for me, and it is smooth and rounded enough to settle pleasingly on my skin equally in the blazing sun or the mysterious, mellifluous summer evenings that follow the day’s heat. On my skin, the fragrance opens with the bright, citrusy blend of Ginger and Bergamot and quickly develops with the signature Geranium heart note that Y is known for. The Patchouli and Amber drydown notes lend the fragrance a delightful sweetness throughout, and it dries down evenly and uncompromisingly on me with a woody flair, more of Cedar than Pine. It has none of the Old Spice staleness that one gets from some fragrances in this woody amber collection. This juice for me would be as one of my female managers notes, one that she would ‘want to go in on for more.’ I am surprised to read the rhetoric that this is a mature or even, dare I say, ‘old man’s’ scent. I say this because I have already received compliments on this from females of college age. The female opinion on a fragrance is what matters to me, and if they like it on me, nolo contendre. This smells good, wears well, is classy enough to wear on a date with one’s girlfriend, yet not so stiff in the upper lip that it can’t be worn on a daily charge. I was wearing it this weekend playing with my band at a couple of outdoor festivals, and it received good feedback. This makes a great addition to my collection of fragrances, and I will keep it stocked.

Let me start by saying I never owned the YSL line, none of the flankers etc. I always heard Y is kind of youthful, shower gelish, and almost like high school body spray. So I stayed away from the line. Out of YSL all I have is LNDH. Wish I had blue electrique. So, I decided to try this new parfum 2025 version that seemed to cause a stir as its a reform, and we all know how that usually goes. I heard it was more mature and less apple sweetness so it sounded good to me. Just arrived yesterday, I wore it to work and my first reaction was it seems accurate as described, its nothing overly special and doesnt wow you. Its a clean smell and kind of like a high end body spray. But, throughout the night (I work graveyard shift) (warm weather climate), I started to really enjoy it more and more. As is most frags, I enjoy drydowns more than openings. And this is no exception. Overall, its projection is decent/moderate. Sillage is same. Its not a groundbreaking scent, but it is definitely good. I plan on driving this daily tbh and I can definitely see me buying another bottle when it ends, repetitively. Its a safe scent, versatile, work friendly, gym friendly. And to follow up with one of the comments previously about a minty melon vibe, I definitely get that as well. I dont know if I really pick up on the balsam fir or pine, and perhaps it doesnt use a photorealistic pine needle note. Its not like the pine in that squatch pine tar soap. But whatever greenery they were aiming to blend here, to me it comes across like a minty fresh melon, well balanced sweetness. It hits with the ginger / spicyness perfectly for me. Again, is it groundbreaking? No. Is it my top 5? No. Have I owned any previous Y or the 2021 appley version? No. But I do enjoy this a lot and am glad I blind bought. Giving it a 8.1 overall score. 8 for scent. 7.5 for proj/sillage. 9.5 for versatility.

I love the new 2025 YSL Y le Parfum. When I first smelled it, I got flashes of MYSLF EDP (not the parfum) and YSL Elixir, moreso than the YSL Y’s. It is better than MYSLF and the Elixir, but it has subtle similarities. I get citrus/bergamot and a healthy dose of ginger. There is a definite white flower or orange blossom component. The YSL Y flanker this does remind me of is the fantastic discontinued fragrance, YSL Y Eau Fraiche. Don’t be scared off by the pine needle note if that does not sound good to you. In this case, it is not present in the opening and it comes out just a bit in the mid. It is very subtle and it enhances the fragrance, it does not dominate it or steer it to some green alpine thing. I feel like the pine and balsam fir are blended in so well, I can’t even make them out as individual notes. Early reviews keep saying this fragrance is not sweet. In comparison to the entire Y line it is definitely less sweet, but it still has a really nice fresh airy citrus sweetness to it. It is just not a juvenile bubblegum Paco Rabanne / Carolina Herrera sweetness. It smells like something a guy in his 20s or 30s would like to wear after graduating from a more juvenile hyper sweet fragrance. I am older than that lol and I love it too. All in all, it is much better than I expected. It is better than Dior Homme Parfum 2025 by a country mile, and better than Armani ADG Elixir, Le Male Elixir Absolu, Valentino BIR Extradose, Bad Boy Elixir, and Boss Bottled Bold Citrus. It is my favorite designer release of 2025 (close to a tie with Givenchy Society Ambree), after the first two months of the year. It is blind buy safe, in my opinion. I just wish I had bought the 100 ml instead of the 60 ml. I give it an 8.5/10 and a Fragrantica score of 4.3.

Its a great fragrance, yes the original 2021 is perfection, but this one's not bad; they should have just released this as its own stand alone & not steal the namesake of its predecessor. This one opens very synthetic but very pleasant. Its geranium & balsam notes are VERY similar to Prada Paradigme's; synthetic but nice. This is a great 4 season scent, recall we're smelling it within inches from our hand or shirt collar, that synthetic opening helps the projection & longevity. I get at least 8 hours. Sweet, resinous but also fresh. Its citrus is very crisp & realistic bergamot. I suggest spray it on a friend, wait a few hours then go near them, it smells great. Currently sitting at a 3.88/5.00, this deserves to be atleast a 4.0/5.0... I think as months go on, this will get better appreciated. YSL has greatly underutilized the perfumer Dominique Ropion . . . He made Eau Fraiche, 2021 Le Parfum... masterpieces, they're making the modern Y line too similar, as the years go on the entire line lacks uniqueness. There's no longer a need to own the entire collection since theyre all 80% similar, when they once were gently alike but stood alone. Ive never seen anything like this in perfumery, a fragrance line that starts okay (2017 edt) then reaches perfection (2022 edt remake, eau fraiche 2020, Le Parfum 2021, Live, 2018 EDP) then backtracking itself into mediocrity (iced cologne, Le Parfum 2025, Elixir, Intense) ... the 2018 EDP is the only one left unscathed.. Its a double edged-sword... the EDP was too popular that they forced the rest of the line to become carbon copies of it, Sorry for typing so much, I cant be the only one who feels like this?

I received this promotional item from YSL in exchange for my incentivized opinion. YSL Y Le Parfum 2025 is my favorite from the line. I was not a fan of the original Y and some successors but I truly liked this one, they just got the correct notes for my skin and it smells wonderful, it's a fresh long lasting fragrance which lingers with longevity from first spray till dry down. It has great sillage with a projection of about 6ft without being overwhelming. I used it immediately when it arrived and went to the store and got stopped twice by people asking me what fragrance I was wearing ( this out of only two, 1 ft distance sprays). Now, in comparison with the other Y from the line, this one is more unique and mature, leaves out the overly used wood notes, flowers, and resins that to my consideration made those versions smell like dirty armpits or cumin at the dry down. This one stays true to itself from the first spray to the dry down, the main notes are evergreens from pine needles and balsam fir and more green stuff such as geranium and I personally love it even with the currently overused patchouli note (which is very subtle or perfectly mixed in). It's also a very versatile fragrance that can be worn for many different scenes and occasions, different weather seasons, and a crowd pleaser and not offesive or overwhelming. Also, this one is on the green sweet side of the spectrum but not in a super sweet way, just the right amount of everything. It is definitely worth every penny and won't make you regret if you blind buy it.

There's definitely still a presence of Apple in this one, but the ginger and bergamot adds a nice spice and zest. The ginger is not sharp, it's very sweet, maybe due to interplay with the apple, almost reminds me of the opening to The Most Wanted Parfum or one of Hugo Boss The Scent flankers. But from there it becomes more traditional fresh blue showergel. To me this is still amberwoody masculine slightly sweet apple. Manly apple, spicy, ambery, woody, showergel. It's definitely not as aggressive as the EDP, but the dry down is pretty similar. Don't worry about the balsam fir and pine notes, it's not a christmas tree fragrance, rather they lend a slight herbaceous and green touch, but overall this fragrance is soft, fresh and sweet with depth. Can't really judge longevity on this one I wore it to the gym so it would not be a fair judgement, not even hacivat would last through my gym sessions. But it seems to have the characteristics of an 7-8+ hour fragrance, projection is very strong first hour, but becomes intimate very quickly. This is the snuggling on the couch version of EDP. I got this as a 40ml bottle for 50% off. Would I pay full price for this? I think the EDP probably offers better value because it has more push in my experience and is louder if you want that. But this is a fantastic option in the blue fragrance jungle if you can get a good price for it.

I want to start by saying that I don't understand the hate. I get that it is replacing the beloved original Le Parfum, which was my favorite in the line, but judging this as its own fragrance and not comparing it to the OG, it is really good. It isn't as good as the original but it still holds up and fits in well in the line. In my experience, off my skin, it opens up with the signature YSL Y fresh sensation of the ginger and bergamot. Almost immediately you get the pine/balsam fir combo which adds a nice bit of green nuance while still maintaining the freshness from the open, albeit less sweet, but adds a little darkness to it. A little further into the drydown, that amber starts to poke its head out and brings the fragrance together. The patchouli isn't very present off my skin, really only adds a slight earthiness to the base but otherwise isn't very present. It keeps that signature DNA at its core, while moving away from the sweeter side but offers some darker green nuances that really make it a stand alone in the line. In terms of performance, off my skin, I get pretty good projection for about 2 hours before it starts to sit a little closer with about 8+ hours (I get around 10) of longevity. Some may get more some may get less. I give it a solid 9/10. Great stuff IMO, worth at least a sample if nothing else.

The hate that this fragrance gets due to replacing the 2021 version is unwarranted. This is a stunner of a perfume and my daily driver since I got my hands on the bottle. Equally as deserving of the top of the line spot as the EDP. It's just as clean as the rest of the Y line, with the soapy shower gel feel. Where it differs is that instead of leaning fruity, it smells like professional sweet pine forest air. The note is just masterfully blended. It is redundant if you have Y EDP, but if you've just finished your bottle, I'd go for this. Much more mature. I do like what Carduccii mentioned below, the pine fir smells like a menthol-y melon. It's important to mention that this scent does stick around for a while, but quite intimately from 3-4 hours onwards. It doesn't fill rooms, but it gets me consistent positive reactions during hugs and other closer contact :). You're not going to have someone running you down due to the scent trail that you leave, but people will associate you with smelling clean and put together. Safe blind buy. Y EDP, but more mature.

Personal Rating out of 5 - 🌟🌟🌟🌟 1.- Characteristics: Coniferous, sweet, ambery. 2.- What's the vibe? Like covering a fir and pine forest in a sugar blanket. 3.- What are the easily recognizable notes? Bergamot and ginger in the opening, then it's all conifers, and sweet notes, to me, there's definitely vanilla in this, just not declared. 4.- Is it a safe wear? Most probably yes. Maybe not for hot days tho. 5.- What is the purpose of this fragrance? I feel like it's in between casual and formal, it's flexible. 6.- Is it worth the price? I don't think $220 dlls is WILD for a fragrance THIS good, specially when I don't think you can find some other coniferous scent as good as this in designer perfumes, BUT, 2.2 dlls / ML is still a bit high in my opinion, any other coniferous scent as good as this will probably be in the NICHE category and end up costing 300 dlls or more, BUT, still $220 is a bit high for me, I won't say it's overpriced, simply because I personally loved it, BUT a lot of people will consider it overpriced. Additional comments:

Best of the line for me. Period. In a previous review I talked about how Y Eau De Parfum Intense is what Y Eau De Parfum should be in the dry down. Well, with Y Le Parfum 2025 they did exactly that. A combination of the 2. Which is a winning combo. This stuff is amazing. The scent gives off this refreshing blue shower gel vibe, while retaining a stronger base all along up to the dry down with a bold slightly sweet patchouli. 10/10 PS : Sorry for those who liked the previous Le Parfum, I can understand the frustration when a fragrance you love is disctontinued. But for me, I can’t thank them enough to have done that. I freaking love it. And don’t get me started with the reactions around me : 11/10. A M A Z I N G EDIT : I still love it, but the Y Eau de Parfum Intense is going back to 1st place. The Eau de Parfum Intense is perfection and work the best for me. It is the one where I feel the best and I get the best reaction. I can't fight the obvious, eventhough I love the Le Parfum 2025.

A lot of people are saying that this should of smelled for Intense version. I have to disagree this feels like it is the most woody and should of been called Ysl dark le parfum or something with a dark name in it and not replace le parfum altogether. The opening on this one is amazing and it's a blend of y edp and y edp intense but I think this one is less harsher than both. On the dry down I get a lot of that woody pine that reminds me like Hugo Boss and it does smell a bit like Y elixir on the dry down as well but more woody. I still think Intense smells better in dry down because of the soapy scent that you get from that and you don't get it on this. Ysl Intense does not feel woody but this one does. Don't listen to the main accords or reviewers. Try it for yourself if you think this does smell woody, because on my skin this one is the only woody ysl line and Intense has no woody on my skin.

I understand not liking that the 2021 version is being discontinued. I have both, I love both, but I gotta say, I definitely like this version better. It's not quite as sweet, it's fresh, mature and masculine yet interesting enough to be fun. Absolutely love the ginger and piney freshness in the opening. It's one of my favorite fragrances now for going out, parties, anytime I really wanna be smelled. I do not wear this to work or the gym for fairly obvious reasons, although I think you could get away with wearing this to work if you're very careful with your application. I however prefer more freshies or blue fragrances for work. Longevity is great, I smell this on me a good 8 or so hours after spraying it. Sprayed it before walking into target and could definitely be smelled from a good 6 feet or more away in open air. My new favorite date night fragrance as well.

HONEST REVIEW: I am not sure about the truthfulness of these negative comments or they're using it to gatekeep this fragrance. This is a better iteration of the Y DNA. The opening is smoother than the Y EDP (which I found headache-inducing) - the green apple note is more prominent here despite it not being listed in the notes; it is almost remininscent of PDM Greenley's green apple note. This fragrance leans slightly mature in that regard likely due to the woody notes. In comparison to the 2021 Le Parfum, this is a lot stronger in sillage and longevity. For example, I wore 4 sprays yesterday afternoon and I showered the next morning and I can still smell it on my arms. IMO this is a great replacement to the 2021. If you don't have a Y fragrance, this 2025 reformulation is the 'one and done' flanker.

The reviews are correct in that this is not at all the same Le Parfum that it replaced but it's not at all a bad scent. I agree with those that said this is a blend of the Elixir and the Intense but, to me, this is better than either of those as it takes the best parts of each and blends them together pretty perfectly. While I do not like this near as much as the original Le Parfum, I do find myself enjoying it quite a bit, especially after expecting to hate it based on some of these reviews. Having tried the entire Y line and owning 2 full bottles of the Le Parfum, and I would say I would probably pick this over them all, aside from its previous iteration. Plan on grabbing a full bottle once it's on discounters.

Tried it on a strip at a store yesterday so can't really comment on the drydown and longevity but, on opening, it does smell like the EDP but with the sweetness toned down. Not very similar to the OG, making it possibly not redundant to own both. If you're not a fan of the EDP sweetness but still like a small dose of it, this might do it; I'd put the sweetness level between the EDP and the Intense (which has little to none). Stock up on the OG if you must. Yes, it is extremely disappointing that the OG Le Parfum is discontinued but, come on y'all, this one isn't really that bad. Intrinsically, I'd say it's pretty darn good.

blind bought it off of jomashop after seeing it on discount, was hesitant at first since I ended up going to ulta and testing out on a tester strip. There was something off putting about it. I received it today and off skin it is so much better. I really like this one and in my opinion is best in the line. I will also note that I am in my 40's so I dont want a fragrance that is to sweet or "beastmode" this works great for me. Smells great, sophisticated. not overbearing or overwhelming. I have read different reviews saying this is the mature version of Y. I must agree. This is the version of Y that men should wear.

A truly interesting fragrance with a fresher and more mature character compared to its predecessor. The combination of pine, geranium, fir, and patchouli creates an intense woody blend, enriched by a balsamic note that makes it dry and icy. Pine and fir, in particular, enhance this resinous freshness, giving the fragrance a refined and distinctive touch. Despite this evolution, the DNA of the Y line is still very much present, but here it appears in a less sweet and more sophisticated version. Overall, it is a mature, bold, and deeply masculine scent—perfect for those seeking elegance without excessive sweetness.

It’s soft and deep. Definitely masculine. It has that '90s vibe, and yeah — like someone said in a negative review — it does sometimes have that smell of burnt-out cigarettes, the kind we used to catch in bars before smoking was banned. But honestly, I like that scent — it’s manly, with a slightly sweet touch of spent tobacco. To me, it’s very masculine. It’s less aggressive than other versions, doesn’t give me a headache, and I actually see that as a plus. Great for everyday use, really. Fresh, masculine, round, woody. Marketing works on me, the words "midnight pine" are beautiful. Best in line.

I tested this fragrance at my local retailer. It’s a very fresh and elegant scent with the signature Y DNA. Not as earthy as Intense, and there’s no resemblance to the previous Y Le Parfum, which is a plus for my personal taste. I’m not a fan of pine or balsam fir, so was a bit sceptical but these notes are well-blended, not polarizing at all. The scent profil is fresh with touch of warmth come from amber. Overall, I’d give it a solid 8.5/10. Performance is just average. Highly versatile and worth checking out, even if you are not a fan of the previous iterations. Full bottle purchased.

I really like this perfume due to its longetivity and fresh aromatic smell but its sillage is quite poor and often stays close to the skin / clothes. I chose this perfume over the regular Y edp due to its dry down and longetivity. The regular Y edp disappears from the skin under 30-40 min while this stays on and goes strong but lacks in sillage. I got the 100 ml version for 140 euros with a discount. Wouldn't have bought it, if it were without the discount. 9/10 Smell 5/10 Sillage 7/10 Longetivity 4/10 Price 10/10 (Not restricted to a specific season nor to a specific time during a day)

Notes seem interesting, and I‘m very enjoyed with this new formulation The old formulation (all black) is still better and the best flanker in Y line But this 2025 version is perfect spot for me because I hate an overly sweet scent (ofc i hate gourmand) This y le parfum is more sweet, woodsy, green than original le parfum that focused on more aromatic and fresh spicy I love Y edp but that is too sweet and cloying on my skin also I‘m very sensitive with synthetic molecule that make me sneeze every single time This y le parfum hit my spot, love from my heart!!

I have both this and the original. What's crazy to me is that owning both is not really redundant, because of how different they are. The original is much dark and deeper to me and has that profile that kicks yea right in the teeth (really good). 2025 take the original, sands the edges from sharp to completely round and then adds the freshness of Y Intense or Y EDP. Without that extra kick like the original has, it doesn't last as long as to me. This however is more wearable than the original just because it is a little smoother, lighter and fresher.

I’ve owned/sold the EDT, EDP, Le Parfum, and EDP Intense. Each of the others had some issue that annoyed me, but this one just strikes a really nice balance between the EDP/EDT and the EDP Intense. OG Le Parfum owners will find very little (if any) similarities here, but for me that’s a good thing. I wasn’t into the OG Le Parfum. The aldehydic aspect gave me a headache after a while, and I found the sweetness to be a bit cloying. To me, it’s the almost fruit-syrupy sweetness from the EDP and EDT with some coniferous notes thrown in. Hate the price.

MY GOSH! I need to say that I love the EDP version, but I have tons of blue fragrances, so I really don't want to pay almost full retail price for a bottle. However, the new Le Parfum is absolutely amazing! That opening is absurd; I can't explain the wow factor that was, even when comparing it with another favorite side by side, ADG Parfum. It's still a little sweet, but much more mature, aromatic, and still mass appealing. Idk if I am still sad to loose the oportunity to pay a good price for the last Parfum anymore lol This one is a 10/10 easily!

I haven't really been enjoying any of the updated formulations they've been coming out with over the last year... Until now. I think the bottle should have had a green hue, because that's what I get from this release. (Edit: I put the flashlight on my phone behind the bottle, and it is indeed GREEN) A crowd pleasing, piney, green opening that dries down closer to what you'd expect from a YSL Y. I detect that Y sweetness, but dialed back. Less redundant to the other Ys compared to the original Y Le Parfum. Would make a great signature scent.

I don’t understand the hatred this fragrance gets. This is a fresh, soapy clean finish that keeps me wanting more. With three sprays alone I can easily pull 7 hours of performance. I think people give this bad reviews do to the naming convention and it being a reformulation... grow up. If you’re a man who is looking for a crisp clean fragrance to wear anytime anyplace, this is the one. The YSL Y line has something for everyone, and to me, THIS is the accumulation of all its predecessors and successors.

If youre expecting this to be sweet like the last one you will be let down. If youre expecting this to be a stand alone scent with a Y DNA as its backbone you will be pleased with this mature refreshing take. No more Lil boy sweetness, time for some masculine greens and woods. Younger people and wanna be frag influencers may not like it if they are looking for something similar to Y EDP or OG Le Parfam but the hate is totally forced. Go smell it for yourself, very sexy versitle masculine scent.

This fragrance is sophisticated mature green fresh forest scent with a very slight soapy and sweet accord but more fresh woodsy and green with the pine note smelling like a green body wash I get about 6 to 8 hours of performance before it becomes a true skin scent and about 3 hours to 2 hours of moderate projection . 9.0 out of 10 🌲🧼 ppl hate on it because it replaced the older le parfum so for that this fragrance is underrated but very good don’t knock it til u try it I love it.

Although apple is not listed in this one, I still definitely pick it up . Honestly I really like this fragrance and love how they incorporated the pine and balsam fur into the Y dna . This is still fresh, slightly sweet, and easy to wear . IMO this is the most mature and refined fragrance in the line . On my skin this lasts longer than the edp although it does not project as well, however I am fine with that, I still get 8 hours of good performance.

Just to add on my previous review. Original Le Parfum (2021) is still the king of Y imo and remains one of the best scents I've ever tried (cca 150 perfumes now). The original from 2021 has, among other things, that lovely apple note that is nowhere near as punchy and headache inducing like the YSL Y edp. Its basically YSL Y dna done to almost perfection. This, the 2025 version is a lovely release as well so dont be afraid to buy a bottle.

Oh my days i just copped a 100ml tester for £57 of this, best blind buy i ever made. I actually don’t get the hate on this i love the fact it’s not as sweet but instead masculine, fresh with balsamic & ambery warmth! Definitely not a little boys fragrance like the edp, if you’re looking for the best ysl y line freshie that gets compliments from “women” instead of “girls” buy this... already love this stuff, gorgeous 👌🏻🔥

Honestly I’m excited to try this. The note breakdown looks like a big departure from the previous Le Parfum and flankers, ones I never truly enjoyed that much due to the ambroxan and other notes. Though, it’s a little odd YSL didn’t just start a new line with it...maybe it’ll be similar anyway. If there’s anything I learned from questionable designer releases, it’s that you shouldn’t knock it till you try it.

Tbh as someone who has never been a fan of the Ysl DNA it’s always smelled like a medical office waiting room to me I love this It’s sweet piney and spicy it’s the perfect daily driver for me As someone who always can respect the Ysl Y edp dna but would never buy I feel good having the le parfum 2025 cuz it smells nothing like its predecessors. Ignore what i said about this magnificent alluring perfume i am sorry Mr.Ropion you are a great master i am amazed for the strong and sophisticated projection and strong sillage and wonderful various scent .The strongest scent in ysl y if you like balsamic scent it is for you but i will still say that it is not good to remove the apple note still.

New favorite in the line. It's smoother and more mature. The opening is the best in the line and then dries down into a mix of the old Le Parfum and Edp Intense (my prior favorite). A bit more green as well. Smells excellent. With that being said, still very redundant. Find out your favorite from the Y line and just buy that one.

I was looking for a pine scent for a while and this one is it. The opening is crazy good with a blast of pine and tree notes, kind of realistic but also abstract at the same time. The dry down is a mix of pine and tree notes, really amazing. Like a few other fragrances it's very addictive and I constantly want to spray more on

People are only hating bc its a reformulation. You know how ppl always say Nautica Voyage smells like a salty cucumber? this also does that but is totally different from NV. This takes that and runs with it. It does it well too, I love it and I cant see anyone disliking this, I guess I know thats the goal anyway tho 86 ovr

People are such trolls, I get that the old Y flankers are amazing, but the sweetness can get a little old, these new flankers are very reminiscent of the originals just with less sweetness and more freshness, more mature IMO, and still smell great, and last a while. Le Parfum 25 is great, and I LOVE the OG

I got a sample of this when it first came out. Originally, I though it smells like old cigs stuck on your clothing. Now, dunno if it changed or my nose changed, but it smells really good. I'm probably gonna pick up a bottle since it's cheap and I will miss wearing Y Iced when the weather cools down.

I was incredibly surprised by the longevity of this perfume. A safe fragrance to wear in all four seasons. As someone who also owns the EDP version, it makes more sense to choose this over the EDP. The scent's diffusion and longevity are quite adequate.

Let me say, this is one of MY MOST COMPLIMENTED FRAGRANCES OF ALL TIME! I walk past people and the air a second after me I always hear "Oh someone smells good!" I've had men ask me all the time what Im wearing! My girlfriend ADORES THIS on me!

I love midnight pine accord! This is the first good YSL for men in years, aside from two La Nuit's. The only Y flanker worth owning. Hope Ropion succeeds in instigating next era of male perfumery, era without fruity/sweet/gourmands

Best YSL Y flanker of all time 11/10 ( the pine, fir balsam, geranium & patchouli gives it a luxurious aromatic/coniferous edge which they havent really done with the Y line yet until now and its an absolute banger )

Finally, a mature Y fragrance. Ignore all the children complaining that the fragrance they love to overspray and offend people with is discontinued for this masterpiece. It is so much nicer than the original Y Le Parfum. It still has the YSL Y fresh & cool, gingery DNA but then there's a somehow Summer-y Christmas Tree blended inside and it's just so nice. The bergamot isn't too strong and the notes are very well blended. It's very unique and I highly recommend you try it even if you're not done throwing a tantrum yet. If this was a solo release, you'd be pumped. They know you'll get over it eventually so you might as well just try it. It's an amazing year-round scent and like I started this review with, it's a mature scent. I'm 28 and I've been waiting for a Y like this one. No overbearing sweetness here, just a blue/green aromatic forest-y scent with the best parts of the Y DNA. Midnight Pine is a perfect description. Kudos to YSL for not being afraid to offend teenagers and make their products...better. Overall: closest to Intense (my previous favorite) Scent: 90/100 Longevity: UPDATE - womp. there it is. Longevity SUCKS. GONE after just 2-3 hours. knew it was too good to be true! Male. Year-Round but a great nighttime scent.
