As a 27 year old fragrance collector, I never would have imagined this would be my new signature scent. I stumbled upon Ms. Lafleur last year on social media, fell in love with her class and had to get my hands on her perfume. Let me tell you, I own many modern fragrances and some "mature" scents such as Angel and Chanel No. 5, but this has replaced everything I own. I've found myself reaching for this everyday. It just feels so flexible. I can see myself wearing this from winter to summer and day to night. Now this scent is definitely for vintage enthusiasts, those who aren't afraid to march to the beat of their own drum, or perhaps anyone who enjoys a sophisticated smelling parfum. To my nose at first spray, you're hit with a burst of fresh, aldehydic florals. Sleepy lavendar and soapy bubbles. After about 40 minutes, it dries down into a sweet, jammy rose with a sexy egyptian musk. It wears well, I can smell it on my arm hours after first application and it leaves a lovely trail. However, it doesn't cloy or create a distracting fog around you. This scent will either evoke the comments "you smell like an old lady" or "you smell so pretty". Either way, I love it. Please never stop having this manufactured Ms. Lafleur!

Okay so I just got this today and I really like it, but I must admit it's very interesting and not at all what I was expecting. The opening is a very DARK and earthy lavender with a tiny whisper of bergamot in the background. This fragrance does have this medicinal vibe to it but it's surprisingly addicting and I really like it. This lasts for about 15-20 mins and then the drydown is where it really gets interesting. To my nose the drydown is rather spicy and smells like cinnamon sprinkled roses, but not light bright dewy roses, it's what I imagine BLACK roses to smell like. So imagine the smell of sweet spicy cinnamon and musky dark black roses. It's honestly a little gothic and I really like it. The more I smell it the more I can believe that this is EXACTLY what the fabulous Mrs. Yvonne LaFleur to smell like!

I follow Yvonne LeFleur on FB and love her store and her attitude. My cousin visited the shop and brought me back Ms. LeFleur's signature fragrance. I LOVE it. I have no ability to distinguish the nuances of fragances like a pro but I do know what I like. This fragrance is a gem. It starts off spicy/sweet with lovely florals but the dry down is where it shines for me. It's powdery and slightly woody/patchouli and musky and I smell clove and carnations? It's not overwhelmingly in your face but my guy noticed it when I walked in the room, but in a good way. He said "what is that you're wearing? I like it." That's a big thumbs up for a guy that never seems to notice if I'm wearing fragrance or not. I am a big fan. I encourage you to find Ms. Yvonne on FB or Youtube and check her out. She is an OG.

The simplest way to imagine this fragrance is to ignore the notes listed and think of Yvonne Lafleur. Her infamous pompadour held together with French combs, dark eyelids—unmatched New Orleans elegance. Of course she smells like this. Initially it settles into my skin as a dark musky rose, ashen incense. Over time it becomes more powdery, high quality dried lavender. Truly unique and shapeshifting, a woman of duality! I’m enjoying this very much in a cold Chicago winter, now I need to come to New Orleans during a humid summer and wear it in all its glory. Edit: this has become my signature, nothing else satisfies me the way this fragrance does!

Yeah I cannot believe you added this. Yvonne LaFleur is very old school New Orleans. She has a shop in the riverbend section of Uptown New Orleans. When you walk in the store you are walking back in time, lacy frilly lingerie type clothes, bridal, and beautiful accessories. This was the store where rich men bought for their mistresses. I have been wearing this since 1982 and thank the lord it still smells the same. What's old is new again in that this is very powdery which is back in style. I am so glad you added this and I hope folks will order it online or visit the store when they come to town.
