1965 - L'Essence de Flamboyance

Im not an expert detecting the notes accords, but you can feel the high quality in the ingredients. Its a sophisticated, elegant and seductive perfume. Was a blind bought with kickstarter and im so happy i did it. This is a perfume for special occasions or when you want to feel sexy and seductive. This is the perfume that Casanova and James Bond would wear.

This is one of the better patchouli and incense scents out there. Very high quality and very similar to Frederic Malle Monsieur. For the price this is spectacular.

Nice scent profile.. but gets weak within a few hours. Nice bedtime scent. On me it gets amber y with a bit of pathouli and incense.. opening is safron dominant with a bit of pepper and nummer.. mid is the insence more dominant.. for me its an 6.5/10

A pleasantly nice but somewhat generic male perfume. The opening is spicy and dry, but not too sharp. Strangely I also get something soapy in the background. Shortly afterwards the leather note comes to the spotlight on my skin. It becomes dominantly leathery. I tend to use Tom Ford's Ombre Leather as the benchmark. Compared to TF, the leather here smells of inferior quality, nothing impressive. Don't get me wrong. It is still a pleasant leather scent at this stage. On the contrary, on paper the incense note is much more dominant. It gives off more church vibe. Personally, I prefer how it smells on my skin, it is masculine, sophisticated and mature. The drydown on my skin is a pleasant combination of spices and patchouli. It is a well balanced combination yet it lacks the quality to leave an impression. This time I actually checked out the notes before testing it. I have to say it matches my expectation, my interpretation of the note pyramid. At certain point I was about to call it a gentleman's scent. What I am missing here is some depth. I would love certain notes to be more pronounced. I think this can be suitable for the office on a cold day, as all the notes are easily acceptable with a reasonable sillage.

My least favorite of the house. Opens up really incensy and balsamic ambry the combination to a churchy smell. Dries down to a spicy, saffron, incense and patchouly smell...nothing is blended well and its a total mess to my nose. I personally don't like it at all. Sample before buying.

I’m having no trouble with the churchy start, but for me, saffron and citrus don’t mix. I like saffron, but not with orange. Try if that combination could intrigue you!

This one is very interesting. I get a lot of incense in the opening of this fragrance. It is very elegant, professional and mature. I also smell pink pepper, and nutmegg. It dries down to a fresh incense fragrance to my nose. It doesn't wear to heavy, but the performance is very good, it really lingers on skin. Very niche though, sample before buying!

This is mostly about the dry patchouli connected with some other woody notes as well as incense in the base and saffron at the beginnig. All in all it is a great patchouli fragrance for men with good performance. However, it is a copy of Monsieur by Frederic Malle. Quite well done and much cheaper.
