This Is Him! Burning Love

I blind bought this based on comments like septemberlibra's. I don't have any other Zadig & Voltaire fragrances and I didn't know what type of quality to expect. Well, I agree with septemberlibra. This Is Him! Burning Love is good. Fruity but not too sweet. A great blending of the fruits and vanilla yet not coming out of that gauntlet with a cloyingly sweet ambroxan bomb like many other designer fragrances at this price point. This is a really pleasant, easy wear. It is unisex and most appropriate for about age 35 and younger, but I'm not close to being in that age range and I will definitely wear this. In fact, I think I will wear it to church this Sunday lol. It would make a great gift for a young man because it is likable and mass appealing, yet unique and he most likely would not already have it. I am really happy I got this. Fragrantica score 4.2 and 8/10. Edit 8/14/25 .... my bottle went missing. I could smell something really good in the upstairs hallway in my house. It was my young daughter. She had got ahold of my bottle of This Is Him! Burning Love, and it was projecting like crazy for several days from her bedroom into the hallway. So my family has proven successfully that This Is Him! Burning Love is beast mode, unisex, and appropriate for any age ... even for little girls lol. I really don't need it, but I may buy another bottle for myself since I let my daughter keep it.

Simple but somewhat addicting. Light, but long lasting. This fragrance creates an aura more than a scent bubble. The fruity opening, although enticing, doesn’t last long. You quickly go into the mid and dry down. The rhum and the vanilla/amber get along perfectly, without being heavy, and create a seductive, sophisticated, self-contained fragrance. If you need fragrance references, take Old Fashioned by Kilian mixed with Luna Rossa Ocean le Parfum by Prada. It gives Molecule 01 vibes. UPDATE : I love it. Pure class in a bottle.

Dislike the bottle (and particularly the font) but the smell is amazing. This will be an overlooked gem. If you are mostly a winter scent guy and find it hard to find the right summer scent for you then this is probably it! This is quite a bit richer then most with vanilla orange and rum but still is a perfect summer scent. While i am a fan of the line because it are mid range unique scents, i am pretty sure most people will say this is either the second best or the best in the line.

This is a good fragrance for the price point Opens with a bit of citrus which fades into something more woody Definitely recommend. Cannot say this is out there and original - it smells derivative of other fragrances in the market but it is still good on its own Also glad that it’s a Shiseido product which is original than most L’Oréal frags.

This perfume reminded me instantly of the A*men family, precisely Ultra Zest. They’re not clones, but they do similar things. They both smell sweet, creamy and citrusy, like a orange creamsicle, with a woody/patchouli drydown.

I loved the scent, unique for summer but. Performance is very bad at least here in CY they put it in discount for long time for reason (maybe CY batch is ruined) 😒

This smells is warm,refreshing and addicting. Also ,i can feel the rum , really nice and quite different .

Fizzy lemonade, rose, incense and rum. Yet another winner from Z&V.

I will update this later, as only just received it in the post today. It was a blind buy based off the notes, and my like for other Z&V fragrances and positive reactions on here. Right off the bat here my scent memory is triggered for Moustache by Rochas which I own (Which is apparently similar to YSL Tuxedo but never smelled that) but the performance issues on my skin make that one like a 1 hour fragrance but I paid 20-30€ for that, and €68 for 100ml for the Burning Love. So let's see how the longevity is? Scent wise it is a nice vanilla, rum, orange ice pop type smell. ........to be continued. I will mark it as a like for now, and may upgrade to love if it lasts okay. Pleasant. To round off after giving it a good few hours on a warm day: It is not a projection beast at all, quite the opposite after about an hour or two it sits closer to the skin. By hour four it is still giving off wafts when moving around and is detectible from just less than as foot. It is a nice dry down basically with the This is Him! DNA which I like but without the smokiness and maybe a little sweeter with the rum notes. Going to stick with the 4/5 as it kind of does the same thing as another fragrance mentioned above for me in terms of my fragrance wardrobe. But I would probably prefer this Z&V one slightly. Will report back with final longevity. Has given me more than 7 hours in the dry down but more of a close to skin or skin scent. It is a decent fragrance. Winning me over for sure. Sticking with my 4/5 as I cant give everything 5 out of 5. But I am definitely warming to it. A month later, after a few wearings, I love the opening in particular but that does not last very long. Overall it is a really nice scent. Six months later and many wearings later. I overspray the crap out of this and onto my clothes too. The opening is amazing but doesn't last long and becomes a nice close to skin scent but the mid and dry down to me are both weak in terms of projecting and uniqueness as Moustache is cheaper and is the 98% the same after the opening. Both perform poorly though. For me it is a nice oversprayer. Safe too

I got this and the "This is her!" Version. And eventhough I am a woman I like this one a lot and will wear it in the future. Like yes this smells like a sexy man (minty, woody, slightly spicy and somehow cozy eventhough there is also some sharper Eukalyptus like note to it) but I would say if it fits your vibe it doesn't matter what your gender is. I kinda don't get a lot of the orange but there is some citrus I can pick up on. Z&V perfume truly just never misses

The OG DNA with an added orange note on top. In the drydrown, the patchouli-Rum make it a bit like Bentley for men Intense. But less sharp and more vanillic. Nice one

This . Smells. Incredible . Picked up a bottle in Spain and it is the creamsicle fragrance I have been searching for. The orange is bright at the top. It quickly segues into a soft rum middle before become a crackling yet soft vanilla amber in the base. I love this. Perfect for the summer. Smells like a warm, summer creamsicle. Well done

The best Zadig to date for me, Vanillic orange with slight booziness. Zadig Voltaire's take on BR540, that's what I get more than Angels Share. Does Last a decent 7 hours, spray your clothes though. Fresh and dries down to a nice sweet toasty scent, this is something else🔥⚡

Opens up with more of a bitter grapefruit than with an orange. It has the DNA of the OG and This is Really Him, that light citrusy "incense" vibe. Here it's wrapped in vanilla and amber. It's lovely. Seems to stick very close to the skin tho, like reaaally close.

Soft sweet orange with amazing opening. Great for summer days. Simple but great. I cant imagine a single person who does not like this scent. Cons: sillage and lasting are weak. Good valué for the price anyway. Maybe the BEST of the line.

To me, this is twisted and turned Angel's Share. Not a dupe by any means, but like AS's notes have been mixed up, re-aranged, twisted. It could go as AS's flanker.

Not something new and unique.reminds me alot of sculpture by nikos the vanilla benzion with citrus smell is almost the same .but more orangy in this one

If you like Mugler A*Men or Paco Rabanne Ultrared, you cannot miss this hidden gem (despite the font of the bottle is a big turn-off)

Very nice boozy, creamy orange on top dries down to a base that resembles Layton.

This also smells like Vintage A*Men Mugler in the drydown. Patchouli heavy.
