I got my Zed creators fragrances in. Got a first impressions video up. Wore Business Over Pleasure yesterday, and today gave Brass & Soul a full wearing. I felt that the design of Justin’s fragrance matched his personality pretty well. Of course with any Zaharoff product you do get the finest presentation. I know that a lot of people expected a different style of scent than what he created, but I thought the fresh route was suiting, after all he is stay fresh productions. In the opening of the fragrance I get hit with a very fresh scent with a touch of spice, a scent of orange, and water notes. The heart and dry down is where the scent really captivates me. On the surface that freshness is there, but you can pick up a rich undertone and somewhat of a smoky nuance. I think this helps distinguish the fragrance from the average fresh style scent. The performance is good. I got about 6 hours of longevity before refreshing, which is about average performance. After the refresh I got another 7 hours. The projection isn’t a room filler, but is solid and about arms length for the first hour to hour and a half. After that the fragrance does sit closer to the skin, but not a skin scent. With a price tag of 119.00 I feel the fragrance to be a good deal. You’re getting a niche quality fresh fragrance, that is a limited edition. I expect if you try to buy it once it’s out of stock and from resellers it will go for considerably more. Plus you get that Zaharoff touch and presentation, which is second to none. This is my first try Brass & Soul from Stay Fresh Productions x Zaharoff, one of the three perfumes from the Zed Creators that were released recently. Brass & Soul fittingly takes its inspiration from jazz, and the composition is fresh, spicy, boozy blend that has a strong, aromatic, gin/juniper blend to it, along with lavender, vanilla, citruses, patchouli, and woods in the main mix, though the note list, like anything Zaharoff, is quite extensive. I get the vibe of a busy club immediately, and the fragrance itself harkens back to older gentlemanly fougeres while, like Zaharoff Signature and Business Over Pleasure, having a modern, up-to-date quality that’s really seems befitting some current trends. It’s slightly sweet, also, but noticeably less so than the other offerings in the Zaharoff catalogue, even Signature Royale and Noir, though there is a certain booziness and vanilla/amber sweetness that counterbalances the sharper, spicier, more floral sides of it. It’s really delightful while being a good balance between provocative and familiar, new and old, opulent but very much down-to-earth in a lot of respects. In fact, it might be the most down-to-earth and seemingly most real-world-inspired of any offering in the Zaharoff catalogue, effectively conjuring the scents and environment of a busy club, a club I want to be at. Brass & Soul comes in EDP concentration and is priced at $119 for 60ml, like the other Zed Creators’ releases, and again, I feel that this pricing is very reasonable, especially today’s market, given the creativity, wearability, uniqueness, and, yes, performance. 8 out of 10

I must say, this stuff seems to be extremely high quality. I totally get the soapy vibe that people mention. Which is fine by me, as I love both soapy & fresh fragrances. This will be considered too "safe" for most fragrance snobs, but Im a fan of easy to wear fragrances, and this is beautiful tbh. Its interesting, because while it is a soapy lavender dominant fragrance, theres definitely more going on in the background. Theres a little booziness underneath that creates some good depth here. Unexpectedly, this entire fresh, soapy, boozy composition turns into a completely different fragrance in the far drydown. In the drydown, it turns into a sweet, smooth, mellow fragrance that actually does smell like vanilla, suede and amber. I can see this getting compliments from regular people. Frankly, Ive smelled all 3 fragrances, and I truly like all 3 alot. I wasnt expecting to like The Siren, but its totally different than the other 2 but an excellent cold weather scent. And as an Iris lover, I find BOP to be a perfect inoffensive/work scent by my standards. Its nice, light, smooth and kind of billowy feeling. B&S is my first Zaharoff fragrance Ive owned, and I see why his name rings bells in the fragrance world. He definitely makes very high quality blends.

The description of this fragrance from the website states that this fragrance "illustrates the multi-sensory experience of performing as a musician in a jazz concert." And let me tell you, that description fits this scent perfectly. I was blown away by the opening. It's lovely citrusy and bright. Overall, this fragrance is pretty dynamic and a solid blind buy. Right off the top, it's bright and soapy. You're greeted with the watery and sweet mandarin notes. Then in the mid you get the white florals, boozy fresh gin, aromatic lavender and cypress, and a minty geranium note. Then it dries down to a bit smoky, woodsy, balsamic finish. It retains this sweet fresh aquatic vibe off my skin throughout me wearing it. Anyone can wear this at any time! Much love to Stay Fresh Productions and Zaharoff!

I actually get the sensation of holding a cold, brass instrument. WTF is this sorcery? This is a unique fragrance. I can't think of anything that smells like this. I'm the worst trying to describe fragrances so I'm not even gonna try. But it smells fresh and a hint of this silky sweetness. This one seems to have more pop than Business Over Pleasure, but it's not a "beast mode" fragrance either. Truly a unique, amazing scent that I am absolutely thrilled to be fortunate enough to own. Well done Mr. Copeland!! You did a phenomenal job of creating a scent that captures that moment in time getting ready to play a gig in a club like you described. Really amazing! Congratulations on your first fragrance, and I hope this isn't the last!! I consider this Big Bottle Blind Buy approved!

Ok, I got my bottle today so this is just some initial impressions. I love this. The top notes with the orange and the aquatics pleasantly remind me of the original formulation of polo sport on first spritz, then the juniper comes in and you get a wonderful piney smell which reminds me of the pacific northwest. The next notes coming through remind me of a gin and tonic, and the dry down is fresh and comforting. Makes me sad that it's a limited release and I'll have to be careful with it, because it's definitely signature scent worthy. I'll have to try the samples of the other two but this is definitely one that I'm happy to have bought blind for my birthday back in May.

I am very far from a note expert but I will do my best here. It opens with strong orange and aquatic notes. Not piercing orange like Mandarino di Amalfi, but a "soft", subdued orange. The aquatic leans more into "blue" fragrance territory with a dash of Mugler Ultra Zest. Kind of a slight orange Tootsie Roll and Bleu de Chanel vibe. Then, after about 15 minutes it settles into a fresh, soapy orange. Not overly soapy or synthetic. Just clean. It dries down into orange and floral with neither beating out the other. The only note I can clearly discern throughout the life of the fragrance is orange. Everything else seems like masterclass balancing of supporting notes.

I didn't celebrate negative comments for Jeremy because I think that's in poor taste. I also didn't review his fragrances because I haven't smelled them, but from what I can tell, is that people think they smell nice but are overpriced. Now it just seems like any time a reviewer makes a fragrance, people try to hate bomb it before they even get a chance to smell it. Which I think is dumb. Don't review stuff you haven't smelled. Otherwise you look like the incels trying to tank Captain Marvel on IMDB.

If the soapy part is the problem for you just give it 15 min 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 , it goes somewhere very pleasant , a couple subtle changes but all in a very warming cozy way . Hard to tell what I’m getting but that’s in a well blended type of way after 3 full wearings i love this, as far as price goes I’m not rich I’m not wealthy at all the price is just fine , perfect tbh 126 after shipping . 8/10 reminds me of a lighter version of Pasha de Cartier Parfum. Projection 3+ feet for the first 2-3 hours. Longevity over 8+ hours with the right amount of sprays. $119 maybe a little steep for some but personally I wasn’t disappointed. Starts off Soapy/ fresh and 20 minutes in it turns resinous yet with a hint of freshness which remains throughout the life of the fragrance. If you control your sprays this could be pulled off year round. Enjoy!

Second review, after having had the bottle for a while, the performance is much better. Projects quite a bit during the first 6 hours. I had coworkers walk by my office and ask me what I was wearing, and I could easily smell it in my bubble when I got home at around 7 pm. I sprayed it at around 6:45 AM. It lingers even longer on the clothes, but I could still smell it on my skin at bedtime.

My all-time favorite fragrance of all time. Bright, metallic, clean, & gentlemanly. Clean metallic sets the stage, and the deep drydown is shavefoam heaven. Lasts forever on clothes. I'm one of the luckiest ppl on earth to have been through 4 bottles and have 4 more for the future!!

Ok, I'm doing it. This officially moved into the top 10 of my 120+ fragrances that I own. Just wow! I can't stop smelling my arm. I haven't had a "wow" moment in a while, well, until now. This put a smile on my face :)

Smells like the best possible version of an Irish Spring type soap. Not the synthetic shower gel, but the old-school bar soap. Or it could be Lever-2000. One of those from scent memory.

The fragrance opens with a very clean citrus note, which then fades to a smooth woodsy scent. In terms of performance, it starts out with mild projection, approximately 2 hours, before moving closer to the skin. The total wear time is about 6 hours. This was my scent of the day for our family dinner on Thanksgiving 2021 and has also been worn on a few evening dinners during the fall. It pairs nicely with a blazer or light sweater. While it may not be a massive compliment-puller, it is well-suited for small evening gatherings Edit Addition: My girlfriend says this reminds her of skoal. Which isn't a bad thing. Scent 7/10 Performance 6/10

I think the opening to this is fantastic. The dry down is good also, but that first 40 minutes or so is the best. I'm not getting the best performance out of it, but it's not bad. It sits a little close to the skin after the first 1 1/2 to 2 hours. But again that's not bad. I'm not some "grand master" that has smelt everything, but I've smelt enough to say that this is unlike anything else I've smelt. The biggest downside is that this is definitely a "try before you buy" type scent, but because it's limited edition the time you have to try before you buy is short.

Although I still prefer the modern changes made for the newer 2nd Soul. This one is an attention grabber and leaves a nice scent trail.

So let me start by saying I’m a big fan of Justin and his channel. The guy is pure class and he is also a knowledgeable and thoughtful reviewer. Highly recommend his content on YouTube (Justin Copeland is the name of the channel). I have sat with the scent for a few hours and my preliminary review is neutral. I wanted to love this immediately but honestly I did not. It’s very herbaceous and complex, with almost a soapy impression right off the top. This gives it a very formal or more austere style. As it blossoms, it gets a more warm, metallic character but retains that green feeling. It may grow on me but initial impression is that it’s very niche-like and an acquired taste. Still worth exploring if you like that profile. One certain positive is that it is not subtle. It’s got great projection and therefore it may overwhelm your nose and become hard to detect. It’s not a piercing or hard hitting smell, so once anosmia starts to set in, you may lose the smell quickly (others will notice it). Overall, I’ll give it a preliminary score of 6/10 (based on 4hrs of wear). I could grow to like this more - we’ll see. Still I congratulate Justin for bottling his vision and trying to offer the world something original! Definitely accomplished that!

Didn't think it was possible to be disappointed by a free sample. Opens super nice, citrus and rind with a little aquatics. In the dry down it turns into a lighter and most citrus summer type scent that won't be unfamiliar to anyone with a small fragrance collection. Sits super close to the skin. After the opening it feels like a 20$ rack store fragrance. Inoffensive and safe for hot weather but no projection past the opening. It doesn't smell bad at all (of the 3 has the best opening) but brings nothing new to the table.

I tried to support Justin Copeland, as he's one of my favorite YouTubers and I believe we have similar tastes. That being said, I just can't get myself to like this. It smells like Pine Sol in the opening, and although it becomes warmer in the dry down, that Pine Sol smell remains. I get the intent of this fragrance, but it's just not for me.

As nice as Justin is, this scent is awful. The opening is a bit synthetic/chemical smelling. There is like a tangy, metallic note in here that you could unironically relate to the smell of brass(that’s not a good thing). After the first hour or so, the notes begin to settle and the scent gets better. It is undoubtedly improved after 1-2 hours, however not enough to save the fragrance. I can’t really compare this to any other popular fragrance bc it is such an absolute mess. All I know is that it comes off as smelling super cheap- like one of those no name fragrances you would buy at the rack stores for $10.

If you want a fragrance that smells as close to a brass instrument as you can probably get, look no further. It's nearly dead on. However, I get a "blue" scent vibe to it as well. Almost like it's trying to be a brass instrument but mass appealing at the same time. I think that this fragrance struggles to own the brass instrument accord and that accord alone. Which makes me get a feeling that it's trying too hard to fit in rather than stand out. It's worth sampling.

This is an edit to my initial review below. I still like it quite a bit, I just really don't reach for it all that much. It genuinely does smell VERY much like a brand new (cold) brass instrument. Imagine picking up a trumpet or trombone that has been kept in a cool room. It's brand new, not old, used, or dirty in any way. This is what you get. I appreciate it, I just don't always want to smell like it.

Ah Brass & Soul, when I heard that Stuart Copeland of Always Früüsh Productions was releasing a new fragrance with Mr Hasselhoff, I KNEW i was down! I heard Cope plays the trombone....well I am well versed in the Skin Flute and the Rusty Trombone. I am hoping I get to add this to my rotation for my gigs! Sooo stoked! Thank you Comrade Copeland and the revered most fragrant one Mr Hasselhoff 🙏 😀

Well this took me by surprise 😮 From the first hour of wearing this I'm thoroughly enjoying it, I wasn't so sure about the note breakdown but boy this smells fantastic in the air! Update: Have been trying this for the last 2 weeks, indeed a lovely fragrance all round, gets my thumbs up 👍 Have a back up bottle of the 3 limited releases, this is my favorite of the 3. 8/10

This community is somewhat hypocritical. With Jeremy Fragrance, many users laughed and celebrated the negative comments. But here it is apparently forbidden or a line has been crossed. Good to know that Fragrantica wants to give everyone a Fair Chance, as long as their name is not Jeremy Fragrance. And no, I don't like what Reddit is doing here at all.

Finally purchased a bottle. What a GREAT scent!!! It is everything I would want in a signature scent; clean, fresh, a little soapy, with a nice backbone. It (on me) performs great. Most frags do not. This one just works on me, lasting me all of my work day, easily. Absolutely will be getting myself a backup.

Imagery and the power of suggestion are doing a lot of heavy lifting on this one. It's a hyper-generic watery, sporty freshie where if you sit and actively try to think about it you can go "Huh... maybe a brass instrument does smell like that...". Glad I sampled!

OK, maybe Justin is a nice guy, i haven t met him in person, but 119 $ for 60 ml without testing it before...Just because we think that Justin is a nice guy? Also, Vincent Kuczinski has a poorly portfolio, in my opinion..Look at the fragreances he made..

Note to future youtube collaborators...no matter how good your fragrance is, no matter how much hype you surround it with, it don't mean %©€∆ if it doesn't last long or project. The longevity on this collaborations is a joke !!

Very nice aromatic soapy scent with kind of mixed with a clean club atmosphere, easy and casual.

Justin is a super nice guy, wish him the best from Italy!
