Seraphim Khus

Sampling Signature Seraphim Khus, a Zaharoff release from last year that I somehow overlooked, and it’s quite a beast, a spicy, woody entry that seems vaguely related to Signature Leather Tabac and to the pair of Basileus perfumes, heady and provocative in a pleasant way while also being grounded in a woody, herbal, semi-earthy center. It feels like a less leathery, slightly less intense alternative to Leather Tabac, but a similarly emboldened take to the Basileus options, and something that’s overall the spiciest of the entire catalogue, I’d argue. The central opening trio of nutmeg, cardamom, and pepper is telling, a variety of spices creating a rich, textured experience that plays against an interesting ensemble in the heart and base—iris, magnolia, vanilla, patchouli, sandalwood. Really impressive and special, and I think I’d enjoy it even more in the cooler weather than on a warm day, but it’s impressive enough to be enjoyed anytime and would turn heads in a positive. That said, it’s intense enough that, like Leather Tabac, it’s plausibly not for everyone, but I think this speaks to enough of us. Signature Seraphim Khus is extrait concentration and has the most common Signature line pricing of $195/155 for 120/60ml, really outstanding nowadays, considering the uniqueness, performance, and overall quality of fragrances in this line, in which some perfumes have slightly higher or lower pricing, but if this is something one wears often, it’s quite accessible in the current market of niche perfumery. The value is especially outstanding considering the performance level, which is quite high. 8 out of 10

A truly bold, sophisticated Vetiver based fragrance that has a splendid dry-down. The Vetiver is nuanced and smooth and should please anyone who enjoys this note. Although some will compare this to Tom Ford's Vetiver line, this release isn't similar at all and it makes its own mark for the wearer, IMHO...

This is a great vetiver fragrance. It's very long lasting with moderate to good projection. It has a sort of creaminess to it that makes it stand out against other vetiver scents. I love it. Another gem from Zaharoff.

Dry down is gorgeous. Performs like a monster. Spray with caution. Magnificent stuff from a slept on house.

Great vetiver fragrance, very sophisticated🤙

I have 5 various samples from Zaharoff and loved all but one of them. I love most Vetiver based/profiled scents, so I purchased a full bottle of Seraphim Khus blind. Of the four times I've worn it, I have truly enjoyed the experience all but one time. One time, a nuttiness (peanut smell vibe came out on me), so I don't know anyone that likes to smell like peanuts. I'm hoping that doesn't occur again. I've been collecting frags for about 7 years now and really like vetiver forward profiled frags. I have a few and plan to purchase a few more. I like the fresh style like the traditional Tom Ford Vetiver, Terre d'Hermès, Vetiver Guerlain, Vocal Oligarch (good clone of Roja (Oligarch), Encre Noire Sport, Bois de Vetiver Karl Lagerfeld, etc. I did not like Encre Noire A L'Extreme (Too much of a nutty (peanut) like smell). Three times i've worn this I get a Cedrat Boise vibe in the mid of the wearing experience. I wonder if anyone else has experienced this.

Seraphim Khus starts out with a spicy blast. As it dries down, it becomes more woody but very earthy and musty which I'm assuming is from the vetiver. What I found very interesting is I noticed a definite touch of churchy incense or resin but didn't see it in the pyramid. With a little investigating, I discovered that was most likely due to the Bushman's Candle note. A very deep, rich and interesting combination that's quite masculine however it didn't work for me. I really didn't care for the incense/resin + earthy/musty combination. That's why I'm rating the scent only OK. Performance was quite good. Longevity easily over 10 hours with decent projection for a few hours after application.

I tend to like alot of scents with Cardimom and this one is done beautifully. Its a handsome scent, I like this more than all of the other Zaharoffs , its a bit more brave and bold. The only other Zaharoff that was better is Leather Tabac "original " version. IFRA destroyed that beautiful creation. The problem Im having is the longevity and sillage. These act as tho they are colognes, maybe its my skin, I'll test a full wear and update if anything has changed. Beautiful scent imo

One of the most beautiful and sophisticated vetiver fragrances ever made. This was executed perfectly and was a great release for 2025. Bravo Zaharoff! Well done!
