Signature Byzāān

Just got a sample of this and it's a very pretty fragrance, but to my nose I can honestly say that I find that this has the same sort of smell as La Vie Est Belle (not a dupe but similar). So, if you love LVEB, you'll also love this and obviously that means if you hate LVEB (as some do), you'll most likely not like this one either. I can't pick out distinct notes on this one, but it's just very sweet and powdery to my nose.

This is an overdue sampling of Signature Byzaan, a 2025 Zaharoff release that I somehow forgot to grab a sample of until now, go figure. It’s perhaps the most palpably floral blend, alongside Signature Bloom, that is not rose-centered, specifically. Its blend consists primarily of white/pink florals (peony, iris, freesia, rose), fruits (peach, pear), and a base of vanilla, amber, musk, and patchouli, overall fostering a powdery, fresh, floral, sweet ensemble that’s really approachable and smooth. I definitely enjoy a powdery vanilla more than a powdery floral and Byzaan sort of touches on both, and is quite well done. It’s remarkable how George and his perfumers make sometimes-challenging (to me) categories of fragrance very accessible and easy to wear. Signature Byzaan is EDP concentration (I believe) and, as with pretty much the entire signature line, very reasonably priced at $195/155 for 120/60ml. This is easily a go-to scent for someone who enjoys powder but wants it smoothly delivered, and it performs quite well. 7 out of 10
