Signature Citrine

I wore Zaharoff's first freshie creation yesterday as well. I wanted to get a feel for it before I posted on it. I haven't spent enough time with it to truly break it down yet. I am also wearing it today, of course. Citrine opens up with a melange of sweet orangey-hued citruses. You can tell the citruses are natural because they have that acidic juiciness, like when you smell orange juice. However, these oranges are not like orange juice, they are much sweeter. The clementine almost gives a lemony nuance to the composition as well. The same cardamom that Zaharoff uses in all of his creations is present, but dialed down to not make this fragrance too warm. It does show up a bit more in the dry down though. A bit of sweet green fennel is noticeable in the background, which bolsters the sweetness and freshness of the composition at the same time. It's really the mark of a skilled perfumer to close a bridge like that with fennel. It's an under-utilized note and it's perfect for this. I wouldn't be shocked if there was a pinch of petitgrain in this as well, but I don't directly detect it. As the dry down comes about, some citrusy sweetness stays, but the creamy sandalwood comes out with a ripe plum note. This isn't a rich and dark plum-like you would find in Plum Japonais. This one feels a bit fresher and green, with some sweetness. This plum helps to keep the dry down interesting when the citruses take a back seat and eventually fade. I can also detect some rosy-hued pink pepper in this stage. I am not entirely sure what fig wood smells like, but I get a very light fig feeling, but that could just be the sweetness of the plum pairing with the creamy sandalwood. Once the citruses fade, you get a smooth creamy woody scent with warm cardamom, a touch of incense, and the plum keeping it interesting with pink pepper and clean white musk. I think some folks were too quick to judge this one based on the citruses not sticking around for a long time. It stays fresh enough in the dry down to be worn in the summer, while taking notes that are typically cold weather favored and turning them into something palatable on a scorching day. Citrine is a welcomed addition to the Zaharoff lineup, which takes the Noir base and makes it fresh, lively, and interesting. However, this is not a super strong scent. There are very few citrus-based scents that are going to smell natural and push into the strong category. This can be smelled, but it has soft radiation around the wearer and it's not meant to impress. It's both casual and classy at the same. I think people need to actually try this for themselves and not let others' opinions dictate how they feel about it. This is a great fragrance that has its limits, but it's still a gem. I will update this if my opinion changes when I wear it more in the summer.

Citrus heaven!!!! Let me start this review by stating that I am a citrus fragrance FANATIC!! A majority of my fragrance collection are citrus based and it is quite an extensive collection as of now. When I heard that Zaharoff was releasing a citrus fragrance I could hardly contain my excitement as I have come to know that George Zaharoff puts such love and passion into creating all of his fragrances and I also know that master perfumer Claude Dir knocks them out of the park. Citrine is no exception and upon first smell I knew that this would be my new signature citrus fragrance. So unique from all the other citrus fragrances I own it opens with such a juicy, mouth watering tangerine note that smells like it was freshly squeezed into the bottle. It does not take long before one realizes that it is so much more than just your average citrus dominant fragrance as it transforms into something even more magical. The performance and sillage are quite stellar as well for a citrus dominant fragrance and I find it suitable be it dressed up or dressed down. I especially like giving it a few sprays when I am working out as it is such an invigorating and uplifting scent which will not offend anyone, as a matter of fact I have received quite a few compliments already in the short time I have owned it. I can not wait for the warmer weather coming soon as I can see this really shining as the weather heats up. Once again I tip my cap to George Zaharoff and master perfumer Claude Dir for creating this gem of a fragrance. Do not hesitate to get your nose on it.

If this were an Hermes fragrance, I'd say Citrine would be their best citrus fragrance. It does smell like an Hermes or Guerlain fragrance, but imo a bit more special. The clementine pops. The clementine gives off a lime vibe. I've heard at least 6 people describe Citrine as "refreshing". Refreshing seems to be the best way to describe this fragrance. The drydown is mostly a clean citrus type of musk which sits close to the skin. The first 3 hours are the most special parts of this fragrance. The drydown of the musk mixes well with my skin chemistry. If you live in a warm environment, this fragrance is different from every other citrus fragrance on the market. Be aware that citrus fragrances aren't really meant to be monster projectors in the drydown. Overall, Citrine is refreshing, and I'd say most people who smell it for the first time will use the term refreshing.

After a long awaited sample, I finally got my nose on this. It over delivered. This stuff is magic. Its got that magic that makes it... extremely pleasant. It touches the brain. The dry down is as heavenly as the opening. I get pleasant wafts as I move around. The first day I wore it, I had a woman audibly smell me, amd say you smell good. There is a lotion that goes with it. Makes it that much better. Apply the citrine lotion on pulse points. Spray on top. Its not beast mode, but it's not a slouch for me. Im someone that usually eats citrus scents. For whatever reason, this stuff does very, very well for me. Not what I was expecting in the best way. I always want a bottle of this. Its so easy to wear and you can freshen it up whenever. Versatile for any scenario. Highly recommend a sample at least. Hugely underrated imho.

I don't think anyone should approach the citrus aromatic genre expecting longevity, if you are you’re setting yourself up for disappointment. For a fragrance of this variety performance is actually quite good. The scent itself starts with pure and clean citrus that somehow feels like fresh water. As it develops you are met with a subtle ambery sweetness ( I suspect ambrox and maltol but I could be wrong), which eventually dries down to a hybrid between sweet smelling white floral soap and the whisperings of a classic chypre. It feels slightly old school but approachable. I think the price to value ratio is quite good.

A fresh aroma with a characteristic Clementine tone. It lasts for hours and hours on clothes, even until the next day without problems. The projection is medium and it is perfect for an office environment or hot climates since it projects cleanliness and subtlety. Totally unisex, but I'd say it would stand out nicely on a well-dressed woman. Disclaimer: If you are a person focused on niche aromas, I recommend you smell it with an open mind since it could seem somewhat simplistic, which for me this is a plus. Might remind you a little bit to MFK Aqua Celestia Forte EDP. Overall, great release. Happy camper in here!

Wow! Another great zaharoff! This is a citrus blast from the opening and so much orange citrus! The clementine opening is so refreshing it feels like being in those old sprite videos. Projection is medium, closer to intimate but this is just the perfect scent for Sunday brunches. There is so much class in every later of each zaharoff, and this summer scent is no exception. When I say brunch, I'm talking champagne brunch at the country club or on your yacht

So: Signature Citrine is a fragrance that radiates freshness from every side! Wonderfully balanced with an unexpected note that perfectly balances the composition and makes it wonderfully energizing... that of fennel. Wonderful, really, I really liked it because it is unique, it has an extra twist that made me appreciate it so much and made me put it immediately on my wishlist! Stylish and with excellent performance

Citrine is a really nice classy citrus. Opens up with a blast of sparkling citrus. Effervescent, airy and invigorating. As it gets into the mid I get a soft creaminess which I imagine comes from the clean oud, fig tree and plum combination. Smells quite natural and of extremely high quality ingredients A very solid release in the fantastic house of Zaharoff. I can't wait to see what Zaharoff puts out next!

This is one of my most worn fragrances for summer, also works if you want something more subtle during the colder months, lasts a decent amount of time but sits close to the skin, really shines in the high heat and starts to project more, you can tell the ingredients are really high quality, I love it , one of my absolute favourites 🔥

Agree that Citrine is one classy citrus fragrance. Not your run of the mill citrus bombs for sure, quality citrus opening with some depth and a great mix of mid and bottom notes from all corners of the spectrum.

Incredible stuff. Clean and simple, but it delivers exactly as I expected. This lasts all day on me, easily for 12h work shifts. It is an intimate/moderate projector, but it is there and present all day.

A very nice lite fragrance that smells great. Great value for what you pay. A smooth change from what the industry does. Nice cool citrus and lime scent great for close encounters and leave a nice trail.

A very well done freshie made by experts. This is how I like a freshie, with the Zaharoff name on it. I get a metallic-like citrus with the signature DNA on drydown (resins and lavender)

To those that don't understand this fragrance and what it's meant for in sorry. You are missing out. This has so much natural citrus it's fantastic.

This is such an underrated, complex fragrance. It is maybe the best of this kind ( energetic, Eau de cologne-style ) on the market.

Beautifully blended classy fresh citrus! Sings and radiates off the skin in the high noon heat! Highly recommend!

A different take on citrus scent. The fruit itself is different, crisp, and not grounded with typical woodiness. Unfortunately very short-lived. Masculine leaning.

This is gone in under 30 minutes on my skin and I’m not even exaggerating. I wanted to love this so bad, it smells beautiful on initial spray but I don’t think I own a scent that dissipates this quickly. I ended up selling it cuz I have $30 fragrances that cover the same citrus musk but last at least 4 hours. This was downright disappointing

Citrus opening but then to my nose dries down and settles into something floral. The drydown reminds me of Nicola New York Intense. Some people or in certain situations you might want a screechy loud fragrance and to be noticed. Other times you might want something that emits in a tighter bubble. This a more intimate and discreet fragrance.

Nothing special, unfortunatelly...A sort of a lower quality version of Torino 21 or ELDO-You or someone like you. Overall, this fragrance has a definetely designer feeling, average quality of the materials smell. On a scale from 1 to 10 i'll give it a 6

After being a big fan of the original Signature and the Rose version, I had high hopes for this especially after looking at the notes. I am sad to say this is underwhelming. I'm not sure why it would smell like this, but to me it comes off smelling like tonic water. It doesn't scream "summer" to me, more like a cloudy spring day like today. I'm sure someone will appreciate this, but sadly I'm not one of them. 6/10 P.s. if anyone is interested in taking this off of me, feel free to shoot me a PM.

An excellent fresh citrusy blast becomes a skin scent in 20 minutes, and all but gone in a couple of hours. What a huge disappointment. I preordered a bottle and it’s already been sold. Signature Royale X is equally disappointing. I don’t know what’s going on with Zaharoff, but I’m about to put George on the “do not blind buy” list.

Limited projection, and you will be lucky if you get two hours of longevity before it sits extremely close to the skin. Not worth the price... Total failure of a scent.

If you want to pay top dollar for a two hour skin scent... enjoy

This fragrance is a synthetic mess. Hard pass.

I wore Imagination yesterday, and today I went with Signature Citrine. So, coming from Imagination, Citrine seemed flat (because of how bright Imagination is). But then, the longer Citrine sat on my skin, the more I realized the beauty of this one; it feels natural. I don't have any other words to describe it other than that. It has that smoothness of the Signature line supporting the citruses. It's not an exaggerated citrus; it doesn't feel or smell like perfume. It is just clean, smooth, and unforced. About an hour after having it on, I went into a store to check out some other fragrances, and the person behind the counter said, "You already smell really nice. You don't need any others."

I'm a big fan of Signature Citrine. From the bright green mandarins opening to smooth musk and ambergris drydown, I simply can't get enough of this fragrance! I've heard complaints about the longevity of this fragrance, but honestly I have a ton of "fresh"fragrance from givenchy gentleman cologne to xerjoff Nio, and Citrine holds its own at about 6 hours which is pretty good considering it's profile. It's an absolute winner for me, and I'd put it up there with some of the other masterpiece citrus fragrances out there.

I have a sample of both this and Pineward Juniperus and let me say they both are very similar scent profiles. The pineward however definitely smells more powerful after about 4 hours citrine is faint but still detectable as a skin scent while the Pineward still smells concentrated. If you like Citrine but hate how weak it smells definitely try Pineward Juniperus.

Most disappointing fragrance in my collection. The initial spray is a beautiful citrus but quickly becomes a dryer sheet scent which in turn quickly vanishes. Many citrus based fragrances don’t last long out project well, but this one does nothing. Even in it heat I get nothing. Simply water in a beautiful bottle.

I love the opening of this, high quality citrus and has an aquatic vibe to it like some ambergris or seaweed. But this civet note in the dry down smells a bit funky like maybe it's a musk or it could even be the oud/ambergris that's giving it a funky animalic civet kinda smell.

Not what I expected, but in the best way possible. Glad that I also got the shower gel. Good juice. I never listen to trolls who always that say - that pretty much all fragrances smell the same (not being hyperbolic). This is what I see here, YT and else where.

Not many fragrances are truly transportive but this one takes me to places I’ve never been. It’s the most classy smelling citrus I have in my collection and it loves the hot weather because that’s where it starts to come alive.

It smells nice but alas the performance is abysmal, from my decant at least
