Signature Royale

@Ksj_ Absolutely the entire Zaharoff Signature line is just tweaked versions of Signature Pour Homme; I don't think George has tried to hide that in any way. Most descriptions of the fragrances are something along the lines of "took the original Pour Homme DNA and turned down this ingredient while adding/amping up this other ingredient". I don't think this makes the fragrances redundant though, because each fragrance is quite different from the original. To my nose, Noir is the most similar to the original Pour Homme, while Royale to me is brighter and suited to warmer weather. But many of the others (especially Tabac and Rose) are completely different beasts, even though you can still detect that familiar Pour Homme undercurrent in the whole line. I can definitely see someone not wanting Royale or Noir due to their similarities with the original Pour Homme (although personally I still find them unique enough to warrant having both), but I'd say give some of the others a chance before writing off the whole line! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised at how different they are while still maintaining their Signature "Zaharoff-ness"

My favorite of all 3 Zaharoff fragrances currently on the market. The opening has a very comforting balsamic note going on. The drydown is spicy and woody. The longevity and projection is the best of the three. The notes I pick up on the most are the apple, the lavender, and the amber. The drydown is pure spicy woody with cardamom being the main spice I detect. For me, the lavender and amber are what bring the relaxing vibe in the opening. If you're into TJ Maxx designer fragrances, you will find that this fragrance is very pure, and not harsh in the least like bargain basement fragrances you get a headache from. I've worn this three days along with the Noir on the other arm. While some may claim Zaharoff Signature's drydown to be resinous and heavy, the drydown for Royale is an intoxicating woody spicy more suitable for spring or fall. After about 5 hours in the Miami heat, the Noir was hardly detectable, although Royale was pushing off the skin. All three days, I was sniffing my arm with the Royale. I'd highly recommend this fragrance.

Signature Pour Homme is still my favorite, this brings a nice twist. It keeps the general DNA and replaces some notes. It's juicy, woody and brighter than SPH. You could wear this year round, evening in summer shouldn't be an issue! As with Zaharoff this is super smooth, no rough edges, natural smelling and just top notch juice. I also absolutely love the bottles too! Presentation does not disappoint. For me this is 9/10 - Losing a point because it's quite similar to SPH and longevity isn't the best. However, in saying that, this isn't a LOOK AT ME perfume. It's just smooth, delicious and subtle in the best way possible.

Signature Royale keeps the basic DNA of Signature Pour Homme, with freshening elements. The DNA is still that of a fragrance with vintage traits, made more airy by citrus notes, a creamy lavender that gives a sensation of cleanliness and lightness, like a breeze that envelops us and leaves us entranced. Although it has a slightly masculine undertone on a woman, in my opinion it enhances her, gives her that extra touch of elegance, a common fil rouge in all the fragrances of this brand. Excellent sillage and lasting, good for all seasons, especially the milder ones.

Liquid Gold, this fragrance is a sunny sweet and a slightly tangy lavender masterfully blended. I think it is already sold out worldwide for just cause but I am sure it will be made available again and I would swap a decant for anyone interested in sampling(just hit me up). It is not only classy but a classic. The apple is a nice touch and makes this ideal for spring, summer and fall. Clearly leans masculine and has a high level of natural ingredients from all over the world that will point to luxury. Only weakness is longevity. 9/10

I think this is my favorite of the Signature line. Expertly blended top shelf ingredients, as to be expected from Zaharoff. A very sophisticated and mature scent. This is for the big boys. Confident, rich and bold. I really like the oud and incense vibe this gives off. It’s a little less traditional than “Signature”. I don’t feel I get great projection from this line, but my wife could definitely smell me, so it might be me. I wouldn’t purchase for this reason, but I’d trade for any Zaharoff.

This is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. It's just the perfect: Freshly showered, clean, manly and "in full control" fragrance. On my skin it projects a solid long arms length for a few hours, before getting a bit closer. Never an intimate projection mind you. It keeps leaving a nice scent trail for hours. I Strongly recommend sampling it. Personal score: 9.5/10 and earns a "Legendary" status in my book.

This one is a crazy good "left field" scent from the house of Zaharoff. The white florals give off a little bit of an iris smell. Mix that with sweet resins and you can party all night long with this scent trailing off all around you. Sexy with the right amount of sweet. Definitely nowhere near a bubble gum sweet. Another home run from Zaharoff. I will own every fragrance that George releases in my lifetime

Just a stunning fougere! Very different from the regular classical ones. This has more depth and creaminess from the Sandalwood, Oud and Vanilla. Comes off as very classy! Nothing else smells like this in my collection. One and only piece!

Juicy, sweet, rich, dark and smooth. What else do you need in a fragrance? Perfect for all seasons and all occasions in my opinion. My second favorite Zaharoff behind the original. Decent performance 👍 9/10

Yes, it is close to Signature. This one feels darker and a bit more fruity (not juicy). I love it but redundant indeed.

This is my second wearing of the two most recent release from Zaharoff, Zaharoff Signature Royale, a flanker to the original Signature Pour Homme from 2018, released alongside Zaharoff Signature Noir. Royale is easily the flanker (of the two) that deviates most significantly from the original, substituting some of the sweet-and-spicy fresh modern fougere aspect with a dry, musky, semi-fruity, semi-powdery blend. Royale smells of apple, juniper, lavender, a blend of spices (cardamom, pimento), magnolia, woods, and what largely seems to me to be a sort of buttery orris accord, even though it is not listed among the notes. For me, the sort of dry, woody, floral quality to it is not better summarized by orris but the vibe may be produced by the woods, florals, musk. There is only a modest amount of overlap between Royale, the slightly fruity musky dry blend, and the original Signature, sort of a sweet and spicy modern fougere alternative, whereas Noir has a stronger connection to the original. The original is the most versatile, Noir is darker, more apt for night and winter, and Royale is still rich but more apt for cooler weather daytime wearing. Royale (as well as Noir) is priced at $105 for 60ml individually, very reasonable in the current market and a high value, but also in other variations, like paired with Noir, as part of a trio with Noir and the original Signature, or with other scented products. 7 out of 10

I agree with @zeamoore4. However the projection for at least the sample I received is very lackluster. Sig pour Homme had greater projection and I have to bring my hand close to my face to smell it. So I wish it had better projection but for my sample on my skin it's not a performer. Edit: very saddened by this fragrance...almost no projection whatsoever and little to no sillage......very disappointed because it's hard to even smell it on my hand after an hour.

Signature Royale (SR) feels like a aromatic/ fougere fragrance, but all the notes are softened out. The main players are lavender, wood, apple, and vanilla, but there's also this powdery aspect to it. It's soft, airy, and somewhat comforting. Longevity and projection is good imo. Not beastmode by any chance, but should give you a scent bubble for 2 hours and lasts 5-6 hours. Overall, it's a good versatile fragrance.

While very similar to it's slightly older brother Signature Pour Homme this one to me is ever so slightly more mature with the woodsy & spice notes being more prominent and central. I don't think that young men would love it, but men in their 30's to 40's would appreciate it more. It's sophisticated, refined, mature, and very gentlemanly.

This scent and oud noir are way too close to the original pour homme to warrant the 150 dollar price tag. Take my advice buy one of the three but do not waste your money buying any of these if you already have one of them. They all smell exactly the same. I used to collaborate with the Zaharoff brand . He sent me all three for review. He said he valued honestly but when I expressed my disappointment with them being too identical to the original he could shouldered me and now won't collaborate again. Oh well I guess you have to lie and kiss the brands asses in order to work together.

After requesting a sample on the Zaharoff site I received a beautifully packaged complimentary vial along with a handwritten card from Mr Zaharoff himself. Thank you so much! This is actually my favourite from the Signature line. I find Royale to be the most versatile of the three. Pure quality composition and performance. The perfect balance between the fruity florals and the suede/oud/vanilla gives it a noble feel, and makes it suitable for any season. Although by no means a clone of Roja's opulent Danger for Men, this shares a velvety smoothness.

Fresh cardamom, musky lavender and vanillic/woody patchouli. The brief for the perfumer was probably another "modern aromatic fougere with a twist" kind of thing. Nothing new here, and poor performance on my skin. Pleasant designer quality fragrance, but far from standing out. Still, might check the box of a safe office scent for some, like for the original Signature - but Lalique does the same for a fraction of the price. Powdery woods and lavender. Musky and strong. Heavy synthetic apple overtone. Citrus, berries, suede and who knows what else in the undertone. Reminds me of Bond 9 Dubai Citrine meets Scent of Piss...I mean Peace.. Somewhere between a 😐 and a 🙂. I chose the former because I'm not a fan of the aforementioned fragrances, nor this scent. Although all are objectively good.

This is very similar to TDH...terre hermes. I get some cedar wood but its very generic and not a stunner- i was bummed as I like george. It smells like quality but weak on me and like many other fragrances.

Immediately upon application of Zaharoff Royale, the prescience of the original Signature Pour Homme is evident. The combination of woods is unmistakeable and the first thing I noticed. Soon afterwards, Royale introduces itself as a worthy flanker with a combination of apple-citrus-lavender. This makes the fragrance come off as brighter than the original. It’s a little more laid back, but still very much a high end gentleman’s fragrance. Make no mistake, this is not a sweet fragrance. The apple here is much different than in, say, YSL Y EDP. Royale remains a predominantly woody fragrance, but one with a sparkle. As such, it feels much more tailored to the fragrance enthusiast than the casual customer. Royale, like the others in this line, has an old world charm that may come off as out of place against the bulk of mainstream offerings, be they designer or niche. Despite being the more casual option of the Zaharoff collection, Royale is not a “spray and go” fragrance but rather the finishing touch to a well planned personal presentation. Despite the more casual approach, Royale feels like it may be equally at home in casual or dressed up settings, much like the original. Despite the presence of dark woods, it remains a versatile fragrance. Projection stays at a polite distance around the wearer and the fragrance sticks around the majority of the day. As stated in the previous reviews, I’ll echo that this is a fragrance that likely skews a bit older, but add it is also one that will earn greater and greater appreciation with repeated wear.

Having never purchased or even smelled the original i was a little nervous about buying a flanker. But as it turns out this is a fantastic and very classy men's fragrance. The composition looks interesting enough on paper and very much in line with what you want from a old school gentlemen's fragrance. The lavender doesn't disappoint and it is blended very well to make this a modern yet traditional men's fragrance. Definitely not what you expect to smell on a young guy in his 20s unless he's very well dressed and carries himself with a lot of class. Fantastic release and one that has me thinking I'm glad I took a chance.

Okay, I own all three, signature pour homme signature Royal, and signature Noir. I don’t know about all being the same. It’s the same DNA with a different take. noir it’s a little bit more woodsy and Royale is more summery. Whoever said all three smelled the same has a broken nose. Then again, smell is subjective but to say they all smell the same is not accurate. Glad I got all three. Very very elegant and enjoyable. Performance is amazing.

This smells almost identical to Signature Pour Homme. I think it would be redundant to have both, but that doesn’t mean this isn’t a nice fragrance. I probably would go with this one after I go through my Pour Homme bottle. Also, I’m getting a feeling that the entire line is just a tweaked version of Pour Homme. I’m not sure if I’m willing to pay for the redundancy.

This is a good one from the house. I get a distinct feeling of saffron at the top, not sure why. It smells posh and fresh. As with all the Zaharoffs, this too has this very soapy backbone. I could have wanted something heavier and richer for a name "royale", but it's fine to just freshen up but don't expect a "heavy hitter".
