Signature Seraphim Red

Seraphim red is a warming, spicy, aquatic, fresh & clean, and woody fragrance. It really gives me the "Going back to the hotel to chill after a day at the beach, while on vacation" vibes. Like a lingering scent on body and clothes from the beach sand and ocean water, and a faint scent washed of sunscreen lotion. One of my favorite things about Zaharoff fragrances is that they are generally a "gentleman's fragrance", not a "screaming in your face" type of fragrance. It is smooth and round, never sharp or stingy. It's never offencive and is always pleasant to smell. Seraphim Red keeps that mentality, but with more sillage and longevity than Seraphim Blue. A sweet pink pepper gives it a nice kick along with the best kind of eucalyptus in the opening, along with the oceanic vibes and amber. There is a hint of a soapy scent, as if you're fresh out of the shower. There is also a slight citrusy note are there too. Lemon ish, but not necessarily lemon. It's refreshing, warming and energizing. In the mid the orange blossom and pine really stretch their legs and comes alive. Musk, sandalwood, and vetiver also starts showing up. I can't smell any ylang ylang at any point, but i'm not very familiar with ylang ylang, so make of that what you will. For the dry-down the Pink pepper softens, and the "kick" it once had is all but faded, but the note isn't gone. Amber and woods dominate the scent, with the sea notes, orange blossom and the sweet pink pepper floating around. At this point, it's settled down into a warm, sweet and woody scent. Seraphim Red is the perfect transition from wearing Seraphim Blue during the day and over to Seraphim Red for the evening/night. Just spray red over blue and you're good to go. Red keeps the aquatic and eucalyptus from Blue, but removes the "clean linens", fruity and light airy notes. Adding woody, ambery, and spicy notes and taking it in a more dense direction. Blue is cooling and airy. Red is warming and dense. For me Seraphim Blue is a perfect 10/10. I am as addicted to it as one can be to a fragrance. Red is just as good, or maybe even better for most, but Blue is more of my thing. Still, i Love Red, and will Always need both. Perfect for warm/mild spring, summer and fall days, evenings, or nights. Performs very well. I get 7-9 hours of good scent cloud and sillage. It's got an initial sillage thats moderate, borderline strong, and keeps that going for about an hour before reducing to a lighter moderate sillage. It leans masculine, but there is no reason a woman couldn't wear it. Personal score: 9.75/10. I couldn't point to a single thing i'd want to change. It's just about perfect. It has the summer afternoon, vacation vibes with a beautiful scent trail. It gets my highest recommendation to try. Always Sample before buying anything. But i can't see how people would not be loving this.

Awesome! I'm the first one to review this on fragrantica. By far, my favorite Zaharoff and one I would love to get a full bottle of. Seraphim Blue was not as impressive to me. Don't get me wrong, it smells super pleasant, an EASY to wear fragrance for any guy, any age. Aromatic, kind of blue, musky, with good longevity ~7 hours with very moderate sillage and projection. Seraphim Red smells very similar, with a warmer appear that I actually preferred. On the Red flanker, this is a very versatile fragrance, with further interest to it. Smells fresh while somewhat sweet and spicy, and more masculine than Blue. Performance is amazing here, with over 9h on skin without it being too much of a skin scent. Blue and Red will overlap beautifully with each other when transitioning from day to night. These are the kinds of fragrances that are both great intro to the house, first niche/indie, as well as only two you'll need for pretty much being covered for any/everything. Bundling blue and red would be for sure ideal. With wearing them, you'll pick up more and more complexity without being overwhelmed in the nose, since the fragrances are very well blended/smooth. In summary, it's hard to make comments on one without referencing the other, but know this. They're not redundant, but rather compliment each other, so I'm very excited for what will come from this line in the future! Don't mess it up, buy a sample of ~3ml for like $7 and play it safe if you will, but this a complete love for me in its simplicity! 60ml would still go a long way for me, which is what I'll buy of both Blue and Red!

This is just amazing, I love what George did here. My top 3 from Zaharoff most def. Does anyone else smell some kind of watermelon in here? (Watermelon Rind part more precisely) I guess its from red pepper and sea notes. This is so versatile, imo way better than Seraphim Blue. Similiar..but Blue def made for the day and Red for the night, thats a killer duo It was a love on first sniff I must say. 10/10

Moving on from the previously reviewed Zaharoff Signature Seraphim Blue, we come to Zaharoff Signature Seraphim Red, which is said to serve as the darker, more nocturnal counterpart to Blue. Let’s take a look at how the two compare and see which one might be the better fit for you. The opening gives you a blend of mild warm spice along with a slight camphorous touch from the eucalyptus and a hint of woody pine. The pink pepper adds a gentle warmth and spice while the pine brings in a fresh, woodsy character. Together they create an opening that feels fresh but also a deep. There is also a light floral presence in the background that adds some airiness, which is pretty similar to what you get with Seraphim Blue. After about twenty minutes the florals start to come forward a bit more. There is no coconut here like there is in Blue. Instead you get a mix of soft yellow and white florals from orange blossom and ylang ylang. This gives the fragrance a slightly less sunscreen like feel compared to Blue and it also comes across a bit less fresh since you are missing the mugane and cypress that appear in Blue. Through the mid a good portion of that camphorous fougere edge is toned down as well, although the overall DNA is still clearly related. At around the one hour mark the scent develops a gentle salty or savory quality. It never becomes briny. It just smooths the scent out and helps calm everything down. The balmy menthol like coolness that you notice in Blue also seems to fade even more here in Red. After about two hours the fragrance settles into the drydown where I get amber, smooth musky sandalwood, and a touch of that signature root-like vetiver. The result is warm and slightly woody with a soft vacation-like feel. If you already own and enjoy Seraphim Blue but wished it were a bit less balmy or cooling, a little less sunscreen like, and slightly darker overall, something that would work well for vacation evenings, then Seraphim Red will probably appeal to you. It does not become dramatically moodier or brinier, but leans a bit more oriental and smooth. Between the two they are both very nice fragrances, but I personally give the edge to Red. It strikes me as a great masculine leaning summer evening scent that still feels naturally beachy, with well placed florals balanced nicely by the warmer oriental notes in the base. If you already own Blue it might feel a bit redundant to also own Red. However, if you wished Blue had the changes I mentioned, then this one could be right up your alley. Really good stuff. P.S. I also have to disagree with a review I saw claiming this reminds them of Orto Parisi Megamare. To my nose they are quite different. Megamare is a salty musky ambergris calone powerhouse, which I do enjoy, while Seraphim Red comes across more like a lightly sunscreen leaning fragrance with a unique amber woody drydown. Of course scent is subjective, so to each their own.

Seraphim Blue is like staying at a beach resort and Seraphim Red is like walking on the beach at sunset where the sand has become nice and slightly warm and doesn’t burn your feet. Opens up spicy, sweet, aquatic, and has some pine. Some creamy florals come through and the pine and aquatic notes fade away. Other than that I stand pretty much the same. I do think the guy below me has a point. It does have a slight deodorant smell, but a REALLY good deodorant smell. This also last for a very long time. I’ve gotten up to 15 hours.

I have tested Seraphim Blue and liked it a lot. Want to pick up a FB as it's a really nice fresh aquatic ideal for summer. Naturally, I wanted to smell what Seraphim Red had to offer. The opening of Seraphim Red was a real letdown. It immediately reminded me of Vertus's Eau de Cyan which has a stale pond water smell. Not good. Unlike Eau de Cyan however, the stale water smell gradually became weaker as it dried down which at least made it tolerable after a while. The final result was something that reminded me of Megamare. I dug up my Megamare sample and sprayed it on the back of a hand to compare it directly to Seraphim Red. There is some similarity, but not enough that I would suggest Megamare as a similar fragrance. Megamare is more woody, while Seraphim Red was toned down on the woody accord and had a subtle floral accord lacking in Megamare. Performance for Seraphim Red was decent with longevity being very good while projection was a bit more moderate. It is no where near the powerhouse that Megamare is. My preference overall is for Megamare.

The smell of an ordinary deodorant. What have you been smoking that you praise something so basic? ;) Zhaharoff has some really good perfumes but these 2 (including blue) are nothing more than decent. They could very well have been released under the Montblanc label.. Ok, I understand the "tastes are not up for debate" part but it's easier with the exaggerated praises because they are not credible. On a scale from 1 to 10 i'll give it a 6.5

Seraphim Red shares some similarities with Seraphim Blue, but it leans more toward evening wear and summer date nights. The fragrance is incredible—easily a 9.5 out of 10 in my book!

I would say its definitely unique, but SAFE unique. I do like it. Aquatic sunny vibes. The sample was atomic! All kinds of compliments from the sample.
