Signature Tabac

Zaharoff Tabac opens up with a blast of sweet spirits including rum and cognac. A spicy cardamom note can be detected amongst the swirling suavity of the blend. I can pick up the davana that lends a slight fruitiness to the booziness. The main star here is the tobacco. It can be smelled a few seconds after the opening and persists long into the dry down. It's sweet and aromatic and soaks up the sweetness of the liquors. This smells like an expensive cigar and doesn't read as synthetic in the least bit. As the heart unfolds, The tobacco persists with the sweetness subsiding a slight bit. The slight earthiness in the tobacco note lets you know that actual tobacco was used here and not tonka. You start to pick up on the balsamic feeling of the myrrh at this point. It almost gives off a Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille vibe because of how the myrrh is used. This fragrance lacks a vanilla note and it doesn't smell like Tobacco Vanille. It just has that same feeling to the nose. The base reveals a more woody approach that doesn't feature the buttery sandalwood that other releases do. At least I am not picking up on it. The sandalwood seems to display more of its dry and woody characteristics when it is combined with frankincense. This seems to be one of Zaharoff's favorite bases that was taken from Signature Noire and it's a base that you can't go wrong with. It's woody, warm, and resinous with the cardamom, tobacco, and a hint of the liquors remaining. Tabac is Zaharoff's best creation yet. I still think Rose and Signature are close. However, Tabac is much more in my wheelhouse. This smells exactly like a gentleman who enjoys an expensive cigar and even more expensive liquors. It is a man with taste who is classical and modern at the same time. This fragrance makes me picture a man in a crimson felt robe smoking a cigar and having a drink. A fireplace is roaring nearby and the smell or quality wooden furniture lingers about in the air. This is an atmospheric scent that reimagines a man's place of contemplation and renewal.

Sweet yet Rugged Tobacco... This tobacco scent is something of an enigma. Sometimes sweet, sometimes bitter, sometimes syrupy, sometimes dry, sometimes vintage, sometimes modern. Imagine a rustic-log and river-stone resort on a ranch in Montana, where beekeepers host billionaires who sip cognac and rub shoulders with wranglers who smoke Marlborough's and round cattle by day. The tobacco is ashy, the sandalwood is dry, and just when you think maybe the landscape is too rugged for you, the honey flows again, and a vista opens up. Comparison to Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford: These are different, although at first they might seem similar in the openings, but TVTF has a more forward fruitiness and chocolatiness, while ZST has a more forward woodiness and a flinty/ashy/dryness at times that I don't smell in TVTF. Both I find unisex, with above average performance. Performance: Gorgeous sweet yet rugged tobacco scent with above average performance, but bottle benefits from dark storage for a few weeks/months after first sprays. Having said that, you don't need to overspray to get 6-8 hours and good projection, This just gets better with time, both on the skin and in the bottle. It's a love for me. 10/10. Enjoy! Update 07/02/24: Really enjoying this today - it's even more woody than I remember and the Australian sandalwood is gorgeous, but also has a lightweight feel that can be worn year-round. If Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford is a tobacco-vanilla scent, then this is a tobacco-woods (sandalwood-cedar) with honey scent. Sillage takes a little bit of time to wake up like an oilier extrait de parfum (even though it's labelled EDP) but once it does the longevity is good. Still a love.

Zaharoff Signature Tabac is like a warm hug from a loved one. Calming, soothing, heart warming, inviting, happy, and uplifting. To me, this is a "Netflix and chill/sitting by the fire/together alone in a cabin" kind of scent. Not a "going out clubbing" or "party all night long" fragrance. It's got a different feel to it. It's hard to describe scents in better terms then the note breakdown already does. so look at the notes and you'll get some idea of the scent. It's a masculine fragrance. A mature, but not an "old mans scent" imo. As with any fragrance, try before you buy. Tobacco scents can easily be "old man scent" to the young (or even older) crowd. It's not a cigarette or cigar tobacco, but a mild and sweet tobacco leaf, with vanilla and honey sweetening and adding its allure to the fragrance. Incents gives it a meditative and centering vibe, and it's supported by lavender and sandalwood for an aromatic, clean, and soft background. It's potent stuff, but not overpowering. Perfect projection imo. I wouldn't reach for this if i want to overpower people (witch i Never want to do). But i wouldn't worry about people not noticing my fragrance either. Solid scent bubble and nice projection. Great trail and longevity for at least 8+ hours. Not great for warm summer days, as it is a more dense type of fragrance. But maybe a cooler summer day, if you're careful with the number of sprays. Works perfectly for Autumn, Winter and Spring, day and night. A few sprays goes a long way. No need to go crazy with the trigger here. Personal score: 9.5/10. I had to buy a full size 120ml bottle.

Warm Soul (Claude Dir, 2021) Scentrack: Chet Baker - Estate Signature Tabac is like a warm blanket during a cold winter night. Soft, cuddly, and comforting. It radiates through a cold fog and breaks a freezing wind. It opens with the spiced rum or brandy note that damps fresh tobacco leaf. Everything is so sweet and festive. The opening could be over the top for some, but interestingly the magic is yet to come. The most impressive part is the lightweight nature of the heart and base notes. This was achieved by a beautiful plum note, possibly accompanied by Tolu balsam, that prevents the composition to slip into an oriental cliché. This light fruitiness refines the sweet oriental notes of the base. It gives vividness to candle-like vanilla absolute, sandalwood, holy incense, and amber. Surprisingly, after the striking opening, this creation is easy to wear. The composition reminds me of several fragrances like Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, sadly discontinued Lanvin Avantgarde, or Mugler Pure Havane, but catchy fruitiness reminds me most of By Kilian Single Malt. Although the oriental cold weather genre is heavily populated, Signature Tabac, in my opinion, is one of the most beautiful warm blankets. Scentimentalwords

This is the tobacco scent I've been looking for... I love the note of tobacco for several reasons - my home in India was close to tobacco plantations so that was the smell in the air when my school bus turned into my neighborhood. I've also grown to love cigars and given the ritual of a monthly cigar I have with my dearest friend of over 20 years, it has come to symbolize friendship. I've been buying acclaimed tobacco fragrances - most notably Herod, Naxos, Jazz Club, 1 million Prive and Side Effect. They're really good, but the tobacco does get a little overshadowed by either fruity, sweet or spicy. I also then got a chance to get my nose on Le Labo's Tabac 28. Again great scent but a little too strong on the tobacco and lovely if you like that stuff.. This sits perfectly in between - it smells like a great cigar and a fruity vanilla dessert were set next to each other - both components of the smell are deep and rich. I got my sample today via a discovery set of sorts. I've already ordered a full bottle. 9/10

Of all the fragrances of which I own, and there are quite a few, which feature tobacco as the main note Signature Tabac is, as my man Sinatra crooned, king of the hill, A#1, top of the list. Such an alluring and sexy fragrance which is so much more than the name suggests. The boozy, sweet tobacco is of course the star of the show but there are so many supporting stars that really make this fragrance shine. Projection and longevity are superb as well and I find it to be perfect for the fall/winter as it really cuts through the cooler air. Superbly blended utilizing only the highest quality ingredients and a price that will not break the bank, the perfect match. I tip my cap to George Zaharoff and Claude Dir for coming together to create this absolutely beautiful fragrance. Zaharoff=first class all the way!!!!!!

I have only tested two fragrances of this wonderful brand to date but I can say that I found innate class and sensuality to be distinctive. In Signature Tabac I perceived a tobacco in perfect harmony with the other notes, which is soft, realistic, imposing and lifted by boozy notes that make it truly captivating. I would call it the fragrance I would love to smell on a man, with a great sillage, distinctive but above all extremely attractive. In all its personality, however, it retains elegance, in short in my opinion it is perfect. Obviously more masculine in my opinion, but on a woman it gives a lot of personality. Gorgeous. I quote one of my favourite films, because it is the perfect perfume I would see on Don Vito Corleone in The Godfather.

This surprised me, the first spraying and I got a mix off diffrent spices, a real messy but funny start, it only lasts for 30 seconds, then you can smell the transformation, It transor into a very natural smelling tobaco leaf soaked in Booze and a very relaxin but faint sweet Base that carries the tobacoo forward, the vanilla is strong and smells melded to The tobaco and The cognac giving it that realistic touch Im not the biggest fan off The pimento part but i Will grant it gives it a bitt off originality, there is much in this parfume that is a bit rogh around the edges but It has personality, and The vanilla is heavenly soft and reminds me off Ice cream This is one.. Iff not the best tobacoo parfume ive had the plesure off smelling

Tabac has slotted right in as one of my favorite all time fragrances let alone Tobacco based fragrances. It is the best Tobacco scent I have put my nose on. It opens up as a fresh realistic tobacco leaf and as it reaches the mid it becomes a smooth beautifully blended sweet tobacco. It has some vanilla nuances that makes it so delightful. The longevity on this is spectacular and it performs amazingly well. I wore this to my daughters quinceanera and I got compliments galore by our guests. Hispanic women like to hug. LOL. I give this a 10/10 in every possible category. George Zaharoff and Claude Dir have created another masterpiece.

I love this fragrance. I know everything smells different to/on everyone, so I am only giving my impressions. On me, I have to disagree with some of the reviews below: This smells much different than other tobacco fragrances (I own a few). I think it has many more notes present than something like Tobacco Vanille. The tobacco is soft, but more gourmand than something like Late Harvest. Also, I don't see the similarity to Dior's Tabacolor. That one has fruit much more present to me than this one. Overall it's certainly on my wishlist. I have another sample of Signature Leather Tabac which I am looking forward to trying.

Happy to be the first one to comment. Priced as a designer, smells better then any designer and most niche on the market. A beautiful tobacco scent, as if you’re stuck in a humidor with some honey, cedar, spices, aromatics and pinch of vanilla. If you like stuff like Herod, tobacco vanille, vanille havane, chergui, you will like this. Edit - Tabac doesn’t smell like tobacco Vanille. Tobacco Vanille has a prominent vanilla, and clove spice. No clove in tabac, and vanilla isn’t prominent in tabac. Also, I don’t pick up anise, aromatics, and dried fruit notes in TV. One last thing... 🤦🏻

This isn't the youtuber tobacco fragrance. This is for the cigar smoker that wants that scent that creates a perfect visual image of a cigar. For me when I smell this I get a slightly vanilla maduro wrapped cigar aged in a humidor with care. Wonderful fragrance and if your a big fan of tobacco fragrances this is definitely a must try

@FujiMoto I'm a fair person and realize that I have to respect your opinion, but I'm not liking you too much right now, mainly because this is one of my all-time favourite scents. I'm totally blown away at your feelings towards this perfume, and am curious to know what type of aroma you're usually drawn to.

A gorgeous scent that is warm and spicy with beautiful amber, and the tobacco is stunning. Agree with the first reviewer; it is affordable but smells better than most niches on the market nowadays. Claude Dir did a fantastic job on this perfume, long-lasting, warm, inviting, and sexy.

Gorgeous fragrance. A rich and mature tobacco fragrance. People give George Z crap for working with YouTube reviewers but he is a standout guy. He even answers his own emails. I now own three bottles and hope to grow my collection. Do not hesitate. Zaharoff is the real deal.

Amazing scent! The tobacco in this is amazing. The honey is also very noticable. The projection is also beastly as well as its longevity. If you like TF's Tobacco Vanille, this is more tobacco, less vanille. Really a special composition.

This is an amazing, if not, the best Tobacco and Vanilla fragrance I've smelt. Sorry Tom Ford, move over, George Zaharoff is here! Not overly sweet and lasts a long time.

From the opening to the dry down, the perfume is enjoyable. Lovely warm, spicy, and tobacco scent. My favorite from the brand, looking forward to trying the new x.

Smells like the inside of a whiskey barrel that is being used to store tobacco covered with honey, wood dust, and some booze. Super warm, sweet, and cozy!

Amazing tobacco scent with depth, complexity, luxurious feeling. Also, quite competitive in terms of pricing. It is a stronger version of Roja Manhattan.
