007 Feels Like Summer

It looks like D&G Light Blue, good parfume - poor longevity

I just bought this one after I saw a Youtube review. I have tried several Zara fragrances in the past as they sometimes release some awesome gold nuggets at insanely low pricing. I am a big fan of Sandalwood, or the newer version S4nd4lw00d, and I also enjoyed the Tobacco Rich/Warm/Addictive. On the other hand I found the Ambroxide and Cashmeran fragrances to be slightly revolting. What people sometimes do not get their head around is that they are buying a fragrance for 10-15€. The Emotions line, which is a quite new I think is a bit more expensive, but feels that way too. The quality of the ingrediencies feels a bit better. Anyways, for 10-15€ per bottle you cannot really expect these fragrances to be niche or even designer quality. They sometimes however are the latter, which is quite impressive at the price, but I guess larger production numbers and a "cheap" brand will make that possible. But, you will get lots of synthetics and blatant rip offs/similarities to other popular fragrance DNAs. Usually you will not find any perfumers credited, which is also understandable because most would not want to be credited for some cheap knock-off. Now back to the fragrance at hand: This one is marketed towards women, but the review I saw stated it was more unisex than feminine, so I thought I will give it a try and I have to agree. It is the first Zara fragrance that is not a total hit or miss for me, but ok for a specific purpose at least. It does not last long, perhaps 1.5 to 2 hours and then is a pure skin scent for 1 maybe 2 more hours, but the smell is quite nice. It opens with a burst of fresh orange and apricot and you really can smell the sandalwood underneath it. Of course all with a synthetic vibe! It smells like a freshly made orange/apricot juice. There also is no real projection past the point where you sprayed it, I would say it is somewhere between weak and moderate, so it will work as a quite personal kind of scent very close to the skin. If your girl- or boyfriend likes this it may even motivate them to come closer to you, just to get a whiff of it... just saying. To me this only works on a very warm spring and warm to hot summers day, when you want a quick refreshing burst, like a pick-me-up. Because of the poor longevity you could apply it in the morning after you got up, have this burst of freshness to get a smile on your face, have breakfast and then cover it up with your normal summer scent. Or if you are out and about on a hot summers day and you want that refreshing orange burst, just apply it, have a short rest and catch your breath. If you want this to work all day, you will have to re-apply it often and then you will go through the 30ml bottle fast, which would essentially make it as pricey as a designer fragrance. There is supposed to be a refill bottle for this sprayer at some point. Probably 120ml, like with the other fragrances of this line and then the price will drop significantly, as these bottles are usually around 15€, and that would make it eligible for more applications during the day. What you essentially buy for the 13.-€ retail now is a refillable sprayer with 30ml of this scent. The reason why there is no refill bottle yet might have something to do with the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, or they want to check sales numbers first to ascertain whether it is worth putting out a larger bottle. To sum this all up. Fresh (slightly synthetic) summer burst of orange-apricot-juice, poor longevity, weak sillage. Would still be a good price to performance ratio though, if they release a 120ml/15.-€ refill bottle. Falls into the category of a refreshing spray to me. But I like it, so people should check it out. This is a safe blind buy and even if you do not like it you will still have a nice looking 30ml sprayer left over, that you can repurpose.

It smells like a sweet and fresh orange juice when first sprayed, but just minutes later it becomes sweeter and the apricot scent appears and takes the leading role up until the scent its completly gone, 2 hours later. They list sandalwood in the notes, but I don't smell it. Its mostly a skin scent the whole time, except for a few minutes after its sprayed, when it has a moderate projection. It has a slightly synthetic vibe, but to me it smells delicious. I like it very much and I really enjoy it in spring and summer warm days, but due to its poor performance I wont't repurchase it when I finish my 30ml bottle.

It's meh. Fresh, synthetic, somewhat poor performance. On my skin it lasts maybe an hour then it's gone. I might like this more if it were rounded out with a little vanilla, tonka bean, or something creamy. I think this is best when you've just stepped out of the shower and want a light and summery pick me up. The opening is a bit sharp with a juicy citrus blast. The dry down is pretty with a very soft apricot fading in and out. I can also see this being a good gym scent. Nothing ground breaking. Generic, but pleasant.

Orange creamsicle vibes. No sillage, no lasting power but overall really nice for the price. Not a dupe by any means but bears some similarity to Keiko Mecheri's Peau de Peche. If that peach/apricot + sandalwood combo is your thing, you're gonna like this.
