I received Another 13 from an amazing subscriber to my Youtube Channel and when I reviewed it, I gave it a G rating which in my rating system stands for Good or a scent worth trying. I find the scent to be a very seductive musky scent that makes great use of synthetic notes. It was unlike anything I ever smelled making the cost of it somewhat justifiable... Then I went to Zara... They released a new line of 3 fragrances that specifically highlights synthetic molecules like Ambroxan, Coranol and Cashmerean. The scent called 4mbr0x (Ambroxan) is basically a match of THE LAB'S Another 13 in the dry down... This makes me highly question Le Labo's integrity. My issue isn't with the scent as much as the cost to own what you are getting. Before smelling 4mbr0x by Zara I considered Another 13 a unique, simple but interesting, very well done, themed scent. Now I feel it's an insult to peoples intelligence. Playing/Profiting on people's ignorance is a very Chanel or Creed like move but Im noticing more and more that Le Labo also leverages the ignorance of their customers to sell high priced fragrances that are at times very synthetic, with average quality in terms of their construction. If Zara can sell a 50ml of Another 13 in another bottle for $22 Le Labo has some explaining to do imo... If the issue is that they have a price point / reputation to maintain and under selling a fragrance they create would compromise that image, then my suggestion is to set higher standards. If Le Labo creates a scent, it should never be so easily reproduced for a fraction of the cost by a brand like Zara. Zara can't reproduce Amouage for instance and they do a horrible job trying to remake Creed scents. The fact that Zara can reproduce, without even trying, a highly acclaimed Le Labo scent that sells for $180/50ml isn't a good look. That only creates buyers remorse which is one of the worst things that could happen to a client- business relationship. The Zara offering exposed Another 13 as being just an Amboxan bomb with very little else other than Iso E super and other miscellaneous background notes. The dry down of Another 13 is pretty much the same as 4mbr0x by Zara. They even perform similarly with a very light heaviness about it. I know that's a weird thing to say. It's not a projection monster but it does have a great sillage and a sneaky strong longevity that sticks to skin and cloth for a very long time. The Zara scents major difference is the heavy scent of cheap alcohol in the beginning. It's clearly a more generic version compared to Another 13 but the quality of another 13 ins't worth the extra $150+ Imo. I would be embarrassed if I were the Creative Director of Le Labo and Zara got as close as they did to recreating it for a fraction of the cost. Its clear they weren't even trying to clone Another 13. It's not like Another 13 is Aventus...lol...Zara just happened to get on a growing trend where brands promote synthetic compounds as a layering option. It's a simple, synthetic scent (on Purpose) and it just happened to be a remake of an expensive Niche fragrance. Just WOW... SIMPLY PUT SCENTS

It's intresting discovery for me about myself, that my nose sometimes perfectly blind for the smell of ambroxan. So those days I can only feel the alcohol and nothing else. (Not only in this one but also in Juliette has a gun - not a parfume.) But when I can actually feel/sense it, it really makes me sniffing it all the time. Very sexy, unisex smell.

If a small mom and pop fragrance company like DUA can clone anything then I don’t see why Zara, a multimillion dollar company can’t. Clone away! Hire the best chemists! Do the market research! Reap the sales! After all, Zara’s strategy is to follow trends for a low cost. The average consumer will eat it up..

Le Labo Another 13 you say?! I’m sold! Just ordered it online. YES, Zara fragrances are finally available for purchase through their website. Update. Went to a Zara store. It is in fact very close to LeLabo Another 13.

An interesting scent. definitely truth in advertising as the Ambroxyn is heavy throughout. The cedar adds an interesting edge to the ambroxyn. Outstanding longevity! this thing lasts...! A must have for any ambroxyn lover.

Fragrantica got the name wrong. It's 4MBR0X, not 4MBROX. Fair enough, it's a confusing name. :) Smells like isopropyl alcohol (aka rubbing alcohol). Any idea what might cause this smell? The bottle is a funky little cube!

So as a big fan of ambroxan, when I heard about Le Labo - Another 13 - I really wanted to try it. Unfortunately that never happened. I did however see a bottle of this on eBay for a decent price, so I moved forward and purchased. Here are my thoughts: First off - if this smells “very similar” to another 13, I’d be pissed if I’d paid the $$$ Le Labo wants! 4mbrox isn’t bad. It is straight ambroxan, which is what I wanted. However, this is the more bitter type of ambroxan - the sauvage type of ambroxan. I was really hoping for the warm, enveloping Molecule 02 type - but nope. With that said, it isn’t bad. It’s really not much of anything. If you are able to pull out the ambroxan part of sauvage, you’ll know what this smells like. It’s not a homerun. Serviceable - but nothing great. 5/10

recently picked this up after finding out that it's a dead ringer for le labo's another 13. much to my surprise, it's a very close smell. when you consider that this is no more than a collection of aroma chemicals it should come as no surprise that it smell so much like it's more expensive counterpart. I you're a fan of musky ambroxan than this is for you. Somone mentionned rubbing alcohol...well, that's probably the musk and ambrox mix. This last a good while on my skin. for the money this is a very good alternative to Another 13 which lasts forever my skin. Having said that, I'm definitely not spending $270 for a bottle of le labo. This will do just fine, although I must admit I'm still trying to figure out what time of year is this best suited for. Enjoy.

I've had the "new" 4mbr0x1d3 for over a week now, and while I've never smelled the original 4mbr0x or Another13, this does smell like a fresh magazine, which Another13 is described as smelling like. And I gotta admit, this is probably the highest quality, best smelling $20 fragrance in my collection. Almost has a niche quality to it. Fantastic projection and longevity too. Like I said, the best way to describe this fragrance is that it smells like a strong, fresh magazine. A sharp, non-citrus freshy. This might not be for everyone, especially people new to the fragrance game. It's not a challenging scent, and it's very people friendly, but it's highly unique. 9/10

Really wanted to get my hands on this because people in the comments believe it resembles LL A13 which I love but just is ridiculously priced. I somehow managed to buy this from someone and it's just not really similar to me. Does not last and project as much as A13. It's also more moss-y and the musk is giving BO. Too bad. Will save up to get A13.

I knew this perfume thanks to a colleague from work, when he wears this perfume the whole office is impregnated by the smell for hours and hours, so I decided to buy a bottle. but when I apply the perfume it is not as powerful as that of my colleague and my wife hardly feels it on me, then I wondered if it had been reformulated ??

Wow! One of the best Zara's sharing the trophy with Vibrant Leather. All the ladies that compliment this say "You smell so good, is that Sauvage?". So if you are on a tight budget and need something that smells closer to Dior, take this: it will turn heads around!!!

Can’t speak for the original square bottle, but, I did buy the new 80ml option along with cashmeran. Two amazing fragrances. Super linear... what they open with is pretty much what you’re getting the whole day, which makes them super easy to layer. So worth $20

Has anyone tried the new 80ml version in the round 80ml bottle called 4mbr0x1d3? Is it good? Similar to this or Another 13 anything else?
