Agate Black

Did anyone try this one? Really, similar to Office for men?

I recently purchased all three fragrances of the 2020 Zara Black line. Agate, Warm and Navy and I like them all. Agate Black is a greenish/blue fragrance mix. In the immediate opening I get sweet watery citruses with a very faint smoky note, but it is very weak. I would assume it is the listed leather, but as the scent progresses it feels a bit more like incense rather than leather, which would make sense if you are trying to copy Versace’s Dylan Blue and Armani’s Acqua di Gio Profumo. Because, it feels like Dylan Blue in the opening, though it is settling more towards Profumo in the dry down. As I also own Bentleys For Man Black Edition, I can say Agate Black has similarities to that one as well, which it is an excellent supplement to Acqua di Gio in my opinion. Not outright copying it, but going into the same direction with a slightly manlier and less people pleasing approach. Agate black however is (in best Zara tradition) a copy of a popular fragrance DNA. Longevity is ok considering the price tag. About 5h with decent projection. As a final thought: It feels like the entire Zara Black series (Warm, Agate, Navy) is one of “blended” perfumes. Navy Black reminds me of Sauvage (opening) and Bleu de Chanel (dry down) Warm Black reminds me of Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille (opening) and V&R Spice Bomb (dry down) Agate Black reminds me of Dylan Blue (opening) and Acqua di Gio Profumo (dry down)

There's not really much to say, it's a citrus opening with a very dark drydown, ambroxan like Montblanc Explorer and Dylan Blue, and to some extent AdG Profumo (but its patchoulli+incense), but from this Zara line i think I prefer Navy Black. Compared side-by-side and Navy Black lasted more or less 1h longer. For those who like Bleu de Chanel, its good.

This isn't similar to Sauvage or Dylan Blue to me. I find it to be the closest to Voyage d'Hermés. I can kind of see the similarity to AdG Profumo in the drydown too.
