Black Pepper & Cedarwood

I truly don't understand how no one is talking about this it is the most niche smelling designer in have ever smell and it smells exactly like the name says... With no sweetness and super realistic... Crazy Good!!! Smells nothing like royal oud so don't buy this thinking that... But it is amazing all in its own!!!!

Pencil shavings and peppercorns. The rose showed up for a bit in the first 15 minutes, and it's hanging around in there like the binding of a guitar between the woods. There is a hint of bitterness in the woodsy note. It's a lumberyard scent. Really clean, fresh-cut wood.

Creed royal oud on a budget, great one!

Went on a shopping spree for the 2020 Zara releases today. Had high hopes for The Perfect Smoking (total let-down) and ended up with Black Pepper & Bergamot. Either my nose or the note pyramid is absolutely off, but there is no trace of rose in it (thanks God). Zara being known to essentially produce clones of well-known fragrances, this smells to me like Creed’s Royal Oud on budget - very green - there must be either angelica or galbanum in it. Fresh blast of pepper and bergamot at the top. Has certainly the same vibe to me. As it is drying down on my hand right now, I can tell the performance won’t be among its qualities, but we are talking 10 EUR scent, right? I like it and am curious what others have to say:-)

I didn't know what to expect so I sprayed & i initially smelled a lime woodchip scent, almost like when at a Home Depot lumber isle. Then it reminded of a fresh new pack of wood N2 pencils, or the shavings of 'em. This would be nice to use while preparing a nice pencil & sketch pad set to start drawing/sketching! It's relaxing, I can't imagine a better scenario!

I bought it based on the good reviews here. The reference of it being very similar to Creed Royal Oud (wich I don't know, but hey, is Creed!) was too tempting and also currently is on sale in Zara on line. I love cedar fragrances, so I decided to give it a go. Bad decision....the black pepper is way too much for me. I've had a rather violent and long sneezings episode each time I've tried it. I've found that I don't like how black pepper smells and it is pretty strong here (much stronger than cedar, IMO). Based on the notes I thought It was going to be unisex, but is too masculine for me (I'm a woman). And it is too mature to pass it to my boys. I think this is not a bad fragrance, just not for me.

Just back from my local Zara, smelling my hand right now. It's certainly an acquired taste, so I suggest not to blind buy to avoid disappointment. The opening note made me think of leather smell, like shoes or a bag. At that point I decided it's not for me. Now the rose, after one hour, came out (so it is there) and the memory goes to some soap bars at my wealthy untie Paola in the 70's. I miss her but it still not for me. I see this fragrance suitable for over 60 or even classy ladies. Not the usual fresh, juvenile Zara. I won't buy.

Absolutely NOTHING in Common with RO.

B&C by Zara is one of the best recent offerings from its wide range. The smell is dominated by the two ingredients in the label; any other is faintedly or barely detected, so it is a quite plain version of several references (I agree Creed, CDG...) but it lacks deepness and complexity. The good news come from its persistency, it projects strong for a reasonable time (6-8 hours), like a true EDP and its simplicity makes it quite wearable and comfortable. I think it has not been a great success according to Zara standards (maybe it is not a mass appealing smell) because I saw it with great discounts pretty soon, so if you are into this kind of perfumes, get it soon before it disappears for ever.

It resembles Royal Oud especially at the beginning. A very juicy cedar accompanied by pepper. When drying, it changes and becomes a little more bland, but the truth is that it is still very good for what it costs. The projection does not seem to be very good either but you cannot ask for much more.

Its like a guy who is handsome yet shy. Has a very nice coozy smell like working in carpenter shop in spring mornings at countryside,but if fades away so quickly so you will sniff your hand again and again to have its presence. Zara needs to work on its sillage and longetivity.
