Blue Hole

Zara Blue Hole is an amazing, amazing fragrance. To me it is fairly mixed between Perry Ellis Night and Ferrari Bright Neroli. If Dior Homme Cologne, Jimmy Choo Man Ice and Mercedes Benz Cologne have that feel, this nailed it pretty good. I can't say as I don't recall what I smelt in Dior Homme Cologne. Blue Hole opens with a lemon scent, and a Bright Neroli like neroli undertone to it that goes into the mid as well, mixing with another white floral, jasmine. Ginger is also in the mix with this neroli like accord. The base has a slight patcholi and some cedar like in Night. Blue Hole is a great spring summer scent for work, casual and active settings. It is a slightly stereotypical citrus scent but it is a great stereotype. Blue Hole has really good performance. It may project for about an hour/hour and a half before fading into a skin scent that will last for about eight hours. Overall do NOT skip on Blue Hole even if it is a discount Zara scent. Selling for $12.99 USD as I write this, I'd pick up a bottle of it or maybe even a back-up bottle. Blue Hole is a 8.5 to me. I find it better than Perry Ellis Night. Night is a tart smelling kind of barbershop scent, but this is a clean scent and one of the best in that aspect.

Citrus and ginger. Borderline-oldskooly citrus. Not dry but actually little sweet like lemonade. Unusual to Zara fragrances this has good longevity! This is equally a good... no, a great fragrance for formal wear or to gym. Ages between 15 to 95 yo. So yeah, quite versatile. For summer days! I see this is compared to Jimmy Choo Man Ice and Dior Homme Cologne 2013. I totally get the comparison. Zara Blue Hole is not as sweet as those two. Not saying Jimmy Choo & Dior are that sweet either. Just trying to emphasize that although this is gingery lemony fragrance, it is not overly dry although it might seem that way when sprayed the first time. My personal preference: both Jimmy Choo & Dior have a musky smell in background and that ruins it for me, personally. So... Blue Hole is a real winner indeed. (feels funny to say that name: Blue Hole :D ) This is 10/10 for what it's trying to do and concidering all the factors: smell, longevity, pricing... I didn't buy it (and regret it already), but I highly recommend it! Great idea for a gift too. One of the best Zara juices... And there are many, many poor ones. It's great to find something like this in Zara!

Picked up a few Zara offerings to give the company a whirl. Great sprayers, this one has a very nice bottle and who could argue with the price? This is almost exactly Jimmy Choo Man Ice (which I really like). Icy lemon, patch. Doesn't really change throughout, the lemon dies down a bit but is still around in the drydown. I get a bit of a classic cologne vibe in the drydown. Couldn't pick out any of the other notes though. Smells great and definitely better than I expected. All year scent that would shine in spring/summer but did pretty well on a cool day. Casual, office friendly. All ages. Pretty versatile. Much to my surprise, this is far superior to the Choo and Dior Homme Cologne in strength. I got a solid workday out of it at 10 or so hours. Sillage seemed quite adequate for many of those hours. The only downside? Worst name in my collection. Blue Hole? Other than that, winner winner chicken dinner.

Back when this was (briefly) released I tested it at Zara, and after leaving, I couldn’t get enough of it, so I went back and bought a bottle the next day. It was an absolute hidden gem - still is if you run across a bottle. I recently picked up Dior Homme Cologne, and side by side, I can see the similarity, maybe that was the brief that Blue Hole was supposed to clone, BUT it’s slightly different, and in a way that makes it enjoyable in its own right. Where DHC is super lemony, fizzy and bright, Blue Hole has a subtlety, a gentle spicyness (the ginger) and even slightly more staying power than its inspiration. It’s kind of got a gentleness to it, bordering on generically pleasant, but it also doesn’t smell exactly like anything else. Great stuff for summer. It’s like they missed what they were aiming for and wound up making something really good!

I don't own Dior Homme Cologne so can't say if it is supposed to be a clone of that but what I can say is that it smells EXACTLY the same as Merceces-Benz Cologne which is one of my favourite casual summer fragrances. It has the added bonus of two things over the Mercedes cologne: Price - 100ml for under £13. Even better than the already cheap MBC. Performance - on my skin this projects nicely for a good 4 hours and then I get a further 5-6 hours as a skin scent which is awesome for a citrus bomb like this. Zara are going to do really well with this one as it is a great uplifting citrus scent that is ideal for the gym or just casual or office wear when the heat starts to beat. 9.5/10 for me.

I had a three flacons. In the case of two flacons, the sprayer became clogged after a while. This fragrance is much better than the "Crabtree and evelyn - West indian lime". I have no replacement now. I tried Jimmy Choo - Man ice (it is not the good replacement), Dior Home cologne (no no please). I want to try Mercedes Benz yet. ZARA's PR department on facebook recommended a substitute ZARA - FOR HIM BLUE EDITION, but that is completely and totally different.

this site cracks me up with the zara note breakdowns. often they only include a fraction of the notes, other times the notes dont resemble the fragrance in the slightest and sometimes like here they list different notes to other zara frags that are exactly the same thing. as others have alluded this is paris to new york in a different bottle. why zara puts the same frag in different bottles with different names is anybodys guess. funny weirdos lol

An honest approach. Zesty lemonade+ginger and a creamy jasmine touch. Ingredients feel pretty realistic. Low projection on first tries, and smell keeps flat all along. A slightly retro vibe? Yes. A slight resemblance to bug spray? Also yes. Nonetheless, I find it great. 8/10 considering price tag.

this is a hidden gem!!! i bought it on sale just like my other zara fragrances. this is one of the few that lasts long and has excellent performance, ideal for hot days, and a complimet getter. the smell is not out of this world but you wont regret it

This is the exact same fragrance as Zara From Paris to New York (which has a very good citrussy scent). Rebottled and sold under a different name. And this one is cheaper ;-)

Probably the best ever Zara freshie, similar to Orange Zest and From Paris to New York but much better in smell and performance

Good! Sweet, floral, ginger-citrus scent. Slightly earthy but not woody. Great Zara! 86

Fragrance -Blue Hole Zara Bottle from - 2019 This is a story about a strong and dazzling lemon.You can detect a hint of spices,jasmine,patchouli and woodiness but the main player is lemon from the beginning till the end. Blue Hole is very similar to From Paris To New York but he took a bit different approach.I would say a stronger and more lemony approach. Longevity - 8/10(8+ hours) Silage/Projection - 7,5/10(moderate projection and silage for the first 1-2 hours,than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution) Weather -best in spring and summer Age - 18+ Compliments(low-medium-high) - medium Scent - 7,5/10 Main notes according to me -lemon,ginger,jasmine,cedar. The drydown is woody,earthy and lemony and I get some woodiness,cedar,patchouli and lemon. Emotions -dazzling,energetic,sharp,bright,sparkling. Occasion -For more or less any ocasion. "Quality/Cost Ratio"is high.If you like lemon,could be a nice signature scent.

Zara Blue Hole is a 2018 release that has the vibe of an icy citrus cologne, very fresh and sharp on its opening before quickly mellowing out and disappearing, as most Zara freshies tend to. Available at $19.90 for 100ml retail, though rather quickly put on sale to $12.90 from what I recall, it’s a typically weakly-performing Zara fragrance but really a nice composition as far as scent goes, certainly welcome in the workplace or when I need a stop gap sort of 2-to-3 hour bridge that’s inoffensive yet invigorating. I’m a fan, mainly because the scent is reliably good despite the performance being subpar, but the latter is contemplated in the price. The name isn’t particularly helpful but overall this is a winner from the house, all things considered. 7 out of 10

I'll start out by saying its not a dead ringer for DHC 2013(the only one I've smelled), but I LOVE this fragrance. Its not as sweet or as bright as DHC, but it stands on its own two feet as a solid freshie, with great performance. Lasts 6-8 hours when sprayed liberally and projects quite nicely throughout the day. Lemon and ginger are the star players, in case that wasn't obvious. With a price tag of $12.99 for a 100ml bottle, you'll definitely find a use for it. I'm torn on whether to grab a backup bottle or try Zara's Paris to New York next. But if you know Zara, this will pop up in a different bottle with a different name next year. Compared to DHC, if i had to give it a percentage, I'd say about 75% similar.

Pahalı bir limon kolonyası. Daha fazlası değil. Ferah belki ama sıradan. Limon dışında hiç bir koku alamıyorsunuz. Bunun yerine bir limon kolonyası almak çok daha mantıklı. An ordinary lemon cologne. Nothing special. The best thing about this one is long lasting. But it smells just a Lemon cologne

Couldn’t disagree with the reviewer below more than any other review I’ve ever read on Fragrantica in this past 3 years since I’ve joined the community, and that’s saying a lot since I’ve seen some questionable reviews. So much so I’m questioning if he even bought the scent. This is almost an exact clone of Dior’s homme 2017 version and that’s one the freshest summer scents I’ve ever experienced. It’s inoffensive, safe, and a true compliment getter. The fact that this was only 15$ just blows my mind. The citrus in this one is just outstanding and on a hot day you’ll go beast mode. Be careful when you see a negative review on here guys, especially when they don’t properly explain why, and are really vague about it. If you love Dior Homme 2017, then this is the bottle for you. -Scent: 10/10 - Longevity: 8/10 (5-8 hours) - Sillage: 7/10 - Uniqueness: 9/10 - Wearability: 10/10 - Versatility:9/10 - Quality:10/10 - Presentation:9/10 -Overall: 9/10

Bought this yesterday. Actually not all that similar to Dior Homme Cologne unfortunately. On initial spray, you're hit with a lovely and sharp lemon note, much like DHC. After a few minutes though, the lemon starts fading away and the ginger becomes more and more apparent. After about 30 minutes, I'd say the lemon note is more or less gone entirely. A strong ginger smelling fragrance.

Definitely similar to Zara's Paris to New York. Less lemon used here and more ginger. The sillage is good but not great. The lemon is gone about 30 minutes after spraying. From Paris to New York is more sparkling, lemony, lasts longer and reminds me much of Dior Cologne. But blue hole is still good.
