Celadon

Just got this in, it's absolutely beautiful! A great dark chocolate over lavender opening. Some patchouli peaks through on the dry down. I can definitely see the comparison to Jovoy Psychadelique, but this is much smoother. JP has an almost dirty, earthy dry-down, while this is much sweeter and evenly balanced. To my nose, there are shades of some of the Muggler A*Men flankers, it especially reminds me of A*Men Fantasm would the cocoa and patchouli. I could see this being worn on cooler Spring nights, but will probably shine more in the winter and fall. I will update with performance after I have some more time with it. Like the rest of this line, I find this to be of niche quality. Get it while you can, because I can pretty much guarantee Zara will discontinue this at the drop of a hat! Update: I completely forgot to circle back to this one Longevity is great, I tend to over spray with Zara stuff, 5-6 sprays will keep going strong for over 8 hours or so on skin, much longer on clothing. It is sweet almost verging on a gourmand profile. I found a bit I decanted into an unlabeled travel spray today, I smelled the top and it smelled INCREDIBLE! I couldn't recall what it was at first. Powdery, sweet, woody, earthy, aromatic, slightly resinous: dark cocoa, lavender, patchouli, amber, with a bit of freshness. .I haven't touched my A*Men Fantasm much since I picked this up. This is a stellar offering from Zara 91/100

It's definitely sweet, built around vanilla and cocoa, but the cocoa isn't harsh or bitter. Instead, it smells smooth and creamy, almost like soft milk chocolate. There's also a fresh note running through the fragrance that keeps the sweetness under control. It fades a little during the drydown but never really disappears. At times it even reminds me of eucalyptus, although I think it's actually the jasmine creating that effect. It has its own personality and feels like a fragrance that was thoughtfully composed rather than made just to be sweet. Overall, it's refined, pleasant, long-lasting, and perfect for evenings. I'd call it completely unisex for anyone who enjoys warm vanilla fragrances.

This smells kind of like masculine cocoa powder, I love this, woah. It's not in the notes breakdown but I can clearly smell patchouli, "Celadon" has this chocolatey smell with lavender and something fresh that I can't exactly pinpoint, this stuff is so good it makes my head spin, I bought a full size bottle today after buying 50ml 3 days ago, I'm smitten. Performance is good on my skin, I get 6 hours total in the scorching heat of summer so it will perform better in its tailored seasons which are fall and winter but I don't think this is offensive to wear in warm weather either. Really great creation from Zara, it's baffling to me that this line isn't hyped or talked much at all.

Alright I went to the MFK store to check the resemblance between this and Grand Soir, and I see why people claim that both are similar. The syropiness in their beginnings is really similar, and they all give out warmness, however, MFK is much more smoother and ambery in the drydown. This one very much reminds me of Sand Desert at Sunset with some powdery cocoa. I do not particularly appreciate the drydown, since I feel all ingredients are in a messy cluster and there is something synthetic that I cannot tell. But overall very high price-quality ratio. Better than a lot of Zara on-shelf bestsellers.

Celadon is an interesting blend of opposites. The lavender opens bright and airy, giving the fragrance lift and presence. Then the cacao steps in: dry, earthy, and slightly bitter, pulling everything back down. The result is a scent that feels both clean and grounded, never too sweet, or too heavy. It’s simple on paper but surprisingly well-balanced in wear. The contrast keeps it engaging without trying too hard. For something from Zara, it shows real compositional control. Approachable, modern, and just a bit unexpected. And yes: the notes on Fragrantica don’t match the actual scent.

The notes somehow got swapped for Celadon and Concrete, not just in Fragrantica, but the actual Zara website which is crazy. If you see the perfumers' names on the incorrect descriptions on the Zara site match the other bottles printed names too. The notes on the bottle are the correct ones, the descriptions are swapped though.

I am impressed. This is really, really good. This reminds me of Cocoa Porcelain by Atelier Materi – they are *not* the same, but in both the dry cocoa works as a perfect metaphor for the ceramics and brings a cold, almost metallic touch to the scent profile. Calm, dry, relaxing, very well balanced.

It's like Zara Origins - Stainless Steel (not listed on Fragrantica) but made more dry and masculine. Stainless Steel comes across like Layton but slightly feminine leaning in the drydown.

So sharp and it's good, perfect performance. Def mature scent and at least 30 yold to use it. Not safe blind buy!

The notes listed here do not coincide with the notes listed on the bottle or the way the perfume smells at all. The notes listed on the bottle are Cocoa extract, Boya oil, and lavender absolute. The scent also smells like it has patchouli and maybe some menthol in it as well. I’d say it’s a unisex scent that leans masculine. The lavender shines through and the patchouli is green and earthy. The cocoa softens everything and adds a touch of sweetness throughout. If you are a fan of Jovoy Paris Psychedelic then you will probably like this fragrance.

The notes here are wrong, even Zara have them wrong on their own website. Top notes are Lavender and Bergamot; middle notes are Cocoa and Heliotrope; base notes are Patchouli and Myrrh. It has a Grand Soir vibe, performs really well. Not as cloying as some other Grand Soir "interpretations".

The notes mentioned here are way off. The lavender absolute drydown is something. Class bottle too. I have one for sale from Spain if anyone is interested.
