Cherry Bomb

It's cherry but not the cough syrup cherry. I thought a lot about Zara's cherry fragrances and blind bought this with an instinct and I am happy with it, because it is not just sweet and solely focused on cherry. It is not listed in the notes but I am getting leathery and almond like accords too. To me this is edgier and cooler than the Lost Cherry or the Cherry Smoothie. Also, it is not an exact dupe for lveb Elixir but these two could have been like distant cousins cos of the leathery and floral notes at the background that supports the fragrances red fruit of choice - one being cherry and the other being raspberry. If you loved lveb Elixir but didn't love its price, run don't walk for this one definitely. Don't be fooled by the limited list of notes for the Cherry Bomb, it delivers more than what it says and it is a very complex and beautiful perfume. I like it when gourmands have this edge - whether its with leather or something smoky or anything.

I was out in the city posting some Vinted packages with my kids and on the way home I visied Zara to take a quick look to their fragrance offerings dince it has been a while. I saw all the cherry fragrances and decided to spay on Cherry Bomb without thinking much about it I walked to take a lift to kids section. Long story short on I returned yo buy this. It was also on discount. It is so yummy to me. It starts with candied cherries and ends with soft vanilla. I think Ill layer it with Poison Girl to get more cherry to that one. I think is it more suitable to me than Jimmy Choo I Want Choo Forever which I wanted to love it but it just packs a too much of a punch and my family hated it.

Almost exactly what i was looking for in a budget cherry fragrance. starts off strong, sugary and slightly tart. like a can of cherryade from the corner shop. dries down into a softer, inoffensive sweet vanilla.

Cherry Bomb is the most unique between this new Zara Cherry line. It has surprised me greatly because usually Zara's summer cubes are of course very juveniles and commercial, while Cherry Bomb has, to my nose, a dainty, pastel-goth soul! It opens with a very strong waxy note (slightly synthetic) which is reminiscent of the waxy products used to polish wood, old crayons and of course old, vintage lipstick!!! Yes, to my nose Cherry Bomb is 100% a lipstick fragrance! I don't think, personally, that the mandarin note is present at all, since in the opening all I can smell is the cherry note enveloped in that waxy accord. After one hour the scent softens greatly and a sort of undistict rose and floral note can be felt, but never detached from the cherry, which is not nutty at all but almost a bit sour and stale. The dry down is of vanilla, plus a nutty and semisweet base of tonka that slightly reminds the dry down of Zara's Pistachio Infusion. All in all, I must say it is quite a peculiar one coming from a Zara cube collection, a sort of more edgy lipstick smell if compared to the usual raspberry/rose/orris lipstick fragrance, less elegant but dainty and romantic all the same. I think it is a must for lovers of lipstick fragrances because they are hard to find at this price, and even more hard to find without the classic iris or orris butter in them, and almost impossible to find this waxy (it was a joy indeed!!). I would not wear it in present summer temperature but I got a bottle to use in autumn, maybe with a velvet dress! Edit: To understand the type of fragrance this is, think of Prada Candy Gloss, only more light on the rose and less powdery, more waxy old lipstick then lip gloss/chapstick (like in Candy Gloss); they are not similar in scent but the vibe is the same.
