Cocoa Sunset

I got this as a gift from my lovely mother and I can say that she absolutely nailed the gift. I see a lot of people comparing this to Yara even though these two have nothing in common. I can, however, say that this smells similar to Sol de Janeiro 62 and I'm honestly surprised to see not that many people make the same comparison. Cocoa Sunset opens up with beautiful absolutely edible fruity, subtly salty, notes unraveling a soft milky background. The longer you wear this fragrance the more the chocolate absorbs you. This smells like a chocolate fruit cake and a tanning balsm at the same time and I'm so here for that. I just wish this fragrance lasted longer. Also the last time I felt this way about catching whiffs of a fragrance was with Prada's Paradoxe, and this is right up there with Paradoxe when it comes to my most complimented perfumes. The price is so affordable and this is the type of a gourmand fragrance I absolutely love.

I bought this on BF because it was a great deal and I liked the scent when I tried it at the store. I wasn ́t sure about it, but I gave it a try. It was a set with the oil, and oil is all sorts of divine. The best smelling thing. I love fruity scents, and here passion fruit and peach are creamy and gentle. I love it! My skin for some reason makes most perfumes smell like the detegent for cleaning the floors or ar freshner or somehow heavy. And most perfumes give me headache. So, I am beyond happy when I find something that just doesn ́t make me sick. This is so much more than that. For me it is a very summery scent. Like a hot summe night by the beach, laying down looking at the stars and listening to the slow night waves. It inspires me. It makes me feel sexy. I imagine myself tanned with soft skin and this scent. I am super happy. And you cannot beat the price. Also, it lasts quite a while. This elevates my mood.

While the notes may remind some of a rich summer body lotion, this is definetely a winter smell. While the chocolate sits faintly in the background, the warmth of this perfume reminds of hot cocoa and fireplaces VERY long lasting, even put me off at first! One direct spray on my neck wouldnt go away even for three days on me! Couldnt sleep the first night. Spraying first on wrists is sufficient, because when done correctly you will smile everytime you feel it on yourself. Very sweet, yet still just grown up enough to be a very attractive smell, not lactonic at all... Loved it so much that I bought one for a friend. Others will definetely feel it too, so prepare for compliments! Although it can be a perfect intimate night scent, dont worry that you will nausiate others by the day

The notes listed in the graphic shots don’t mention the peach or passion fruit but that’s what elevates this fragrance from the simple chocolate, cream and vanilla listed. It’s a gorgeous tropical combination that is completely unisex. We all wear this in my house. It’s definitely a love. I don’t get the Yara reference except maybe that they both share a sweet vanilla dry down. Other than that, I don’t see any connection. Highly recommend, especially for the price point.

OH MY GOD!! idk what Zara made but they made a masterpiece. Who ever tells this smells like Yara (pink one) no, not at all, i disagree 100%. this opens strong! a mix with a chocolate (not to strong) whipped creamy hint of coconut..? vanilla everything mixed up and the dry down is a comforting scent a soft cacoa with a bit of vanilla but very soft.. the first time wearing this i got so many compliments, day after i got again so many. for this price.. it’s so worth it.

I smelled it in Zara, and bought it right away! Its a lovely, toned down perfume thats perfect for summer - BUT, you need to carry it with you all day because of the fast dry down. Its not strong in sillage, so therefor you have to spray during the day, to smell amazing all the time. The name of the bottle is actually perfect! Its totally like a sunset with cocoa. I love it! Just wished, that it lasted longer!

I am not a big fan of Zara perfumes but I like this one. I smelt it on one of my students, she came in and she had this sexy aroma around her. I smelt a very sensual and attractive scent. Never thought her perfume had choclate in it, I didn't smell any chocolate. If I hadn't smelt it on her probably I would have never bought it, esp when I looked at the ingredients. But I got it today and I really like it!

Best compliment I’ve ever received came from this and Zara Cocoa Latte combo at 5pm on a winter day! Someone said I smelled like chocolate cake, actually insisted there was chocolate cake but it was just me after a full day in the office! This sticks on clothes like glue! Bought a backup bottle! Longevity and protection for that price is insane!

This does have SDJ vibes but with added cocoa, I have the cocoa sunset hair and body mist too so in combination with the EDP it creates a beautiful seductive summer evening vibe, for me it’s one of my favourite warm summer evening scents on warm sun-kissed skin. However totally wearable all year round it’s really lovely. 🥰

Out of all my perfumes, this one got me the most compliments....especially from men. I had people follow me to ask me what am I wearing. It doesn't last long on skin, but it grips to the clothing like crazy. It is nice, sweet, creamy...but the peach makes it so good out of all the notes.

You have ti wait at least 10m. to get it. Beatiful aromatic creamy vanilla, i think the mistake is call it cocoa collection, it should have been in vanillas. It instatly came to my mind burberry goddess but not as loud wich i appreciate... a lot! I'm going for back ups 🥰❤️

This is a lovely smell. I dont get a real cocoa whipped cream kind of vibe but more a coconut vanilla kind of vibe. This is definitely a very tropical scent and I'd say this smells like a lovely warm summer on the beach. Definitely recommend!

Lowkey this is what I thought Angel by Mugler would smell like. Sort of chocolate-y and vanilla-y but also somewhat floral in a hard-to-put-your-finger-on-it way. Love it.

For me it mainly smells like Kinder Riegel. I like it, sadly its not very long lasting, best 2 hours on my skin. It was the best of the Cocoa Line to me and the only one i bought. Here are notes missing, updated with ai: Top Notes (Sweet & Nutty) VANILLIN & COUMARIN → Provide a rich, creamy, slightly almond-like sweetness that can mimic chocolate or tonka bean. Wearing this feels like a family vacation to a tropical beach resort. It reminds me of warm sunshine, salty air, and feeling carefree. It's a yummy blend of vanilla, fruit, and sugary sweetness that makes me feel like summer has arrived. Even though this is what I'd consider a gourmand-y perfume, it doesn't feel heavy. Even in hotter weather I think it's wearable due to its beachy / tropical vibe. I really like how this smells on me, from the first spray to the dry down hours later. It lasts a while too and the projection is strong. If you like vanilla mixed with fruitiness and want something that feels like a tropical getaway in a bottle, this might be worth trying.

The opening is giving synthetic white forals or is it just me??? I can only make out vanilla and cream in this , no chocolate in sight. It reminds me of Moonlight Wisper if it had no pistachio and was a bit watered down. It ́s a nice, VERY sweet smell but nothing more. Kind of smells like vanilla milk with ton of sugar. Ok after drydown I can smell a bit of milk chocolate on my skin (reminds me of Kinder Surprise chocolate) but I had to really look for it. Ok guys it ́s kinda growing on me I think I like it, I ́ll wear this to bed for sure. Like a warm, sweet cup of milk before bed :)

This is straight up Lattafa Yara.. 😮💨 where is the chocolate? Where is the promised whipped cream and cocoa? Anyone who owns or ever smelled Yara can IMMEDIATELY identify that this is 100% Yara at first spray. I regret blind buying this. I already own Qissa Pink and Yara.. don't need a 3rd Yara wtf. This is a very powdery musk milk with some faint floral strawberry scent. NO CHOCOLATE!! 💀

I quite like this and it is growing on me. However, I don’t think it’s a chocolate-centric scent - the notes of peach and passionfruit mean it’s more of a tropical scent. The cream is sweet but to me it feels almost dusty. I don’t know when and where I would wear this. Too fruity for winter, too heavy for summer, too creamy for spring. I need more time. Luckily, it’s a good performer.

I smelled this in store today and it smelled so good, it is my favourite out of the 3 from the Cocoa collection. I could smell the coconut, milky cocoa, sweet vanilla - a pleasant tropical surprise.

Smells so nice, fresh and even tropical. I can take the smell of coconut. But it only lasts about 20-30 mins on my skin, then completely goes away.

It definitely smells like chocolate - a single origin dark chocolate with fruity notes. Don't expect Cadbury's milk chocolate.

good zara fragrance with nice value

I really wanted to love this as much as I love the other flankers in the collection, but sadly I don't get much from it at all lol. It's nice and very vanilla heavy, chocolate is faint and I don't feel much beyond it because it sits very closely to the skin and fades faster than the other flankers. If you want a cosy, fall gourmand that isn't sickly sweet and has some depth but want to wear it at the office and make sure it doesn't offend the people around you, this might be for you.

Yes, it's somewhat similar to Lattafa's yara perfume, but it's a much lighter, fluffier and more chocolatey version. When it dries, it becomes a powdery whipped cream and chocolate blend It's somewhat similar to a mix of Ariana Grande's Sweet Like Candy and Yves Rocher's Cuir de Nuit, and there's also an unpleasant alcohol smell that I can't quite pinpoint

Too generic sweetness for my taste, this is very similar to sol de Janeiro 71 body spray, I wouldn’t dare call it a gourmand. Not every sugary perfume is a gourmand. It’s too heavy for summer and too light for winter. Plus, you need to overspray like a crazy bitch for Zara perfumes to work specially this one, overhyped.

Straight from the bottle it smells NOTHING like chocolate or cocoa, however it does smell like a very sweet vanilla with heavy whipped cream, very perfumery NOT photorealistic. It’s basic, really was hoping for a rich creamy milk chocolate. This was not even close.. Zara PLEASE reformulate this.

I like the scent, but the longevity is a bit disappointing. It lasted about two hours on my skin and around four hours on my clothes. That said, for the price, it’s not a bad option.

Unfortunately, it only smells of vanilla and a little passion fruit & peach. It's almost a straight vanilla scent. There's not a single molecule of cocoa or chocolate.

there is a bitter note in the drydown that I weirdly love. I wish you didnt have to get through the worlds most basic, juvenile playdoughy cocoa-vanilla to get there.

Turns too sour. "Milk chocolate melted over whipped cream, with a golden touch of vanilla. After that it becomes obnoxious so much that it distracts me. I work at McArthur Glen and sometimes I sneak out during my break to head to Zara downstairs to try the new perfumes. Well I prefer Cocoa Bliss over the Sunset one. This opens sweet and like body butter, but also fruity, similarly to Cocoa Bliss, however the latter is deeper as a scent, more creamy and vanilla-centered whereas Cocoa Sunset becomes sour like ambroxan overtime so I'm guessing the milk chocolate note has the usual ambrox milk note I dread in scents like Amo Ferragamo with its unconcealed ambroxan in the notes and my face. Milk in some scents is ambrox in disguise. The vanilla and whipped cream only add to the waxy sour scent that I also find in Pepe Jeans, listed in the reminds me of, which I expected to see lol (I sold that one) and which is equally a sweet sour high pitched ambroxan bomb like Amo Ferragamo is, they're quite similar scents, same league. Zara lists peach and passion fruit in the description so I'm guessing that's where the fruity sweetness comes from which only amplifies the sweet sour ambroxan mess. The Cocoa Bliss surprisingly has the same fruity notes listed on Zara...? yea idk but which explains the similarity in the opening, tho the end result is smoother as it retains the chocolatey body butter scent it has despite only listing dark chocolate out of the gourmand notes - go figure- and I'm smelling whipped cream in it too even more so than Cocoa Sunset. Anyway. Not my cup of chocolate.

I am disgusted by this. It’s lactonic acid with something off, I would say it’s a cheap kind of musk. Reminds me of Signature MontBlanc or ZARA Frosted Cream. This said, it smells nothing like Cocoa and very cheap. Don’t blind buy any of these fragrances, you will be disappointed ☹️

I tried a lot of times in the store but never it convinced me . But one time I went to the Zara showroom randomly without applying my own regular perfume . I tried the sample to give it a chance one last time and the scent beautifully rose to my nose. Then I knew this was the type of Vanilla I was searching for And eventually I realized it only when I didn't overlap with any of my own perfumes. The oil of cocoa Sunset is somewhat magic i Shall invited and suggest all people who don't like gourmands to give it a try . It's not plasticky it's not resinous so it's beautifully done . The scent is light usable all the year .

i got a bunch of compliments on this one in the winter. i wore it in february and i got stopped at work a bunch of times to ask what is my perfume. i literally had a colleague take a picture of it from my bag because she liked it that much and wanted to go to Zara to purchase it. i think it smells better half an hour after applying it, you get the notes clearer imo. i’m not a very big fan of it anymore though. it’s not milky or chocolatey to me. or it’s just very balsamic... i rate it a solid 7. but some people will really like it!

Later edit: after a week the fragrance is still very strong on the paper tester! I placed my order. So sweet and creamy. It has a bit of zest to it, it’s not nauseating. To my nose it feels very similar to sol de janeiro body spray 62 and to Kay aly pistachio, not a dupe but same class, so maybe moonlight whisper feels similar too. On my skin it lasted a lot, and it projects well because I kept smelling it randomly when i moved my arm. I didn’t got it yet, I have a mini bottle of Kay Ali, so I am still thinking about it.

I get the Yara similarities but on my skin Yara is much more floral. Cocoa Sunset has much more pronounced chocolate, coconut accords. It smells almost beachy with a suntan lotion note. Not so long lasting - which I wouldn't expect anyway at this price point - but I think I'll wear this one to the beach this summer to see out the heatwave we are having here in the UK.

Initial spray is very interesting, im getting coconuty- tropical smell, light but with some complexity to it. Not much cocoa but velvety mix of tropical vibes and coconut. Perfect for summer. After few hours scent settles down on my skin and dries out to deep sweet chocolate but not obnoxiously but in delicious way you want to eat your skin

Upon the initial spritz, I detected a hint of coconut, which soon faded and was replaced by a soft, sweet, floral, fruity, warm vanilla scent with a powdery quality. I had expected to pick up on a cocoa scent, but there was none present. I plan to let it sit for a while to see if the fragrance changes.

If you like Amouage Guidance, go put your nose on this one. I despise Guidance lol, and this has that *exact* same note that I can't stand. I don't understand which note it is as they have very little overlapping from what is listed here. If you like it, this one might be right up your alley.

*this* is the one of the 3 that feels like it should have the passion fruit as there is a sweet fruit in it.. it's pretty, fairly light and not really a gourmand..but more as the bottle jas settled... it's more "perfumey". Trying to decide if this or the latte one is my favourite...

I just smelled it at the store and this is exactly Sol De Janeiro Cheirosa 62, only this one is missing something I dislike in 62. Maybe the saltiness is toned down, I appreciate that. I’d go as far as to say Cocoa Sunset is better even?

It’s a dupe for Laurent Mazzone Sensual Orchid or for the Laura Mercier Amber Vanille - but better , smoother and well rounded. Wondering why there is no orchid note in it. Got addicted to that. Got a backup bottle as well.

Πολύ πολύ ωραίο άρωμα , γλυκό (τόσο όσο κατ'εμέ) και για όλες τις εποχές και τις ώρες κατά την άποψή μου. Μου θύμισε λίγο το cheirosa 62 αλλά πιο πολύ μου θύμισε μια πιο έντονη εκδοχή του Signature από mont blanc.

It's a perfect dupe of Nicki Minaj pinkprint mix with minajesty . Exotic and fresh fragrance . Not really in the vanilla type . The passion fruit is the key ingredient , pinkprint is more sharp and sour .

Creamy, vanilla, milky, hazelnut, fruity. To be honest, I don't smell any coconut in here. I was expecting it to be much more tropical, but this is more gourmand, sweet, chocolate.
