Elevated Oud

Where My Heart Beats Although many people associate Elevated Ous (EO) with Guilty Absolute pour Homme (GGA), I fail to see the similarity between the two. EO opens with an explosion of semi-bitter and strongly citrus accords and then evolves towards dusty, woody and creamy nuances. GGA, on the other hand, in the opening notes, already presents that spicy and leathery character that will later become its signature, with just a whisper of citrus notes. By the will of the master Alberto Morillas, GGA is a scent whose fragrance does not change after the first perfume application to the skin. In the beginning, I said to myself, "Take Guccy Guilty Absolute PH, remove the leathery peaks, a little musky and woody, and add the soapy and a little creamy ones, thus obtaining Elevated Oud", almost like two heterozygous twin brothers, with a similar DNA but disparate. But no, the more I try the two perfumes side by side, the more I realize that they are not each other's inspiration. I like EO like crazy, just as GGAPH was love at first sight, but I would never buy EO as a substitute for GGAPH because, to my nose and on my skin, they are two beautiful perfumes in themselves. Therefore, I will describe the harmonies that revolve around EO without dwelling too much on the hypothetical similarities. The creation is a woody fragrance that unveils itself layer by layer. The presence of oud in this, and all other scents, is not suffocating or challenging but wearable even by those who fear oud. It announces itself with a sour twist of citrus fruits, ranging from the bright bergamot, omnipresent in the fragrances, to the more sour lemon, almost reminiscent of a mixed citrus fruit salad, citrus blossoms, and even a pinch of orange bigarade with a thick rind. It's pithy, like the white, spongy part of a citrus fruit between the hull and the thin skin of individual segments. Sniffed up close, after the first few moments, you can perceive the aroma of the peel and the spongy layer underneath. From the beginning, we recognize the presence of oud, here very soft, smooth, tamed, in the European style, with dark tones that embellish the fragrance without being too animalistic, leathery, or aggressive. Immersed in this riot of citrus fruits is a shy cardamom, green, perceptible but not ostentatious, which adds freshness to the tartness of the citrus fruits. In the heart, I observe a first change. The fragrance takes on spicier tones, and the cardamom releases edges of soapy spices but pungent soaps. There is a powdery aspect, perhaps due to a hint of iris or violet, but very moderate, which does not alter the nature of the perfume. While offering powdery and soapy puffs, the fragrance remains confined to masculine characters; there is no trace of fine lipstick, baby powder, or beauty soap. There is a bit of sweetness and gourmand in the heart, thanks to the sophisticated and irresistible notes of black vanilla and pralines, but nothing cloying. In the dry-down, another change happens and the perfume takes on decidedly woody tones. The oud has moved to the background, while in the foreground, you can feel the creaminess of the sandalwood and just a hint of cleaned patchouli. Overall, if smelled closely, delicate mineral and earthy nuances are obtained. The final nuances leave a woody trail, and the sandalwood bark and the oud flavour last long. Instead, the spicy facets have weakened, and the leathery or resinous accords of conifers are almost absent. I waited a while before purchasing this fragrance because something didn't convince me when I smelled it from the paper strip. But on the skin, it's a whole different story. There is that veil of praline sweetness that is enhanced by the warmth of the skin, while on paper, the essence is colder and more citrusy. The result of GGA is a fragrance with dry and deep woody notes, intensified by Patchouli oil and Vetiver, and I don't perceive all these facets in EO. Inside EO, I miss the mixture of old leather jacket aroma and aromatic, natural-smelling green cypress that rushes into my nostrils. Anyone who wants to smell original and different from most people should get their nose on Elevated Oud as soon as possible. Season-wise, this is a fragrance designed and intended for the cold season. Due to the moderate performance and heavier notes, the funky side would become more evident in higher temperatures in the summer season. This would be a great choice as a fragrance to wear daily for a night out, a big dinner, or an outing with friends. You could dare to go to the office, it shouldn't bother other people. Longlasting, with an above average projection the first hours, moves close to the skin or clothes. I'm writing my impression based on a bottle I've owned since September 2023 (BC 32300).

There's a specific kind of thrill in finding a gem that others have overlooked. Enter Zara Elevated Oud. The moment I got a whiff of this fragrance, I felt like I'd struck olfactory gold. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention a certain kinship with Zara Magnificent Black, another favorite. There's an intangible quality, a shared DNA, that connects all Zara fragrances, but especially these two scents in a way that's hard to put into words but is palpable nonetheless. It's as if Zara has sprinkled a secret concoction throughout their whole fragrance line. It's subtle, almost transparent, but it's there — lending an extra kick of potency and longevity to the scent. It's like a chef's signature spice, only perceptible to those well-acquainted with the menu. It's a detail you might overlook, but one that ultimately enhances the experience. Not to be overly dramatic, but Elevated Oud has broken into my top 5 fragrances. It's a head-turner, a conversation-starter, and, most importantly, a feel-gooder. It brings to mind that obscure B-side track you love but no one else knows about; it's that good, that distinctive. In a nutshell, Zara Elevated Oud is a low-cost masterpiece. Priced at a mere €14, this fragrance is a steal — a diamond in the rough. Out of the entire Zara line I sampled, this one outshone its peers by a country mile. Its complexity and longevity are impressive, and it's got that indefinable factor that makes it stand out. Forget any preconceived notions you might have about 'affordable' scents. This fragrance is a game-changer, offering a luxurious, slightly Middle Eastern olfactory experience without the hefty price tag. Sure, Zara has other options in this line, but trust me — none holds a candle to this one. It's like finding a Michelin-starred dish at a fast-food joint. So, if you've been sniffing around for a fragrance that packs a powerful punch without breaking the bank, your search ends here. Elevated Oud is an experience, one that's well worth the incredibly modest investment. To me zara elevated oud has one of the best price vs quality ratio ever! I tried all the line at the zara store and this one was an immediate hit. The citrus opening fades away quickly, then u can detect praline and vanille. Thanks god the notes are very balanced, so nothing overly sweet or gourmand. The next stage Is dominated by a smokey "occidental" oud, patchouli, sandalwood and a very soft leather. The smokey smell is the protagonist of this fragrance, no church or graveyard vibe here, but something very sophisticated, refined and confident. Someone can find a bit of many fragrances here, a touch of bvlgari black, a drop of Bentley Absolute, a hint of gucci guilty Absolute...the overall is a fantastic blend, hard to think that this is from zara. The performance is above average on my skin: very good projection for two hours, then more quiet but still living. Longevity great too, the next mourning my gf said she still can smell the scent. So nothing to complain. Better for cold seasons, for casual and formal situations, not for every day use because the smokeyness can be a bit "heavy" to smell all the week. I get compliments with elevated oud, Alberto morillas did it again, bravo! Elevated oud è un profumo di zara di grande qualità. I bought a bottle of this about 3 months ago when sniffing through different fragrances in the Zara shop. Straight away, this one got my immediate attention & I sprayed some on the back of my hand & then walked around for 15 minutes to test the dry down. After 15 minutes, I could tell that this was going to last a good while & it has to be purchased. I want back & grabbed a bottle, then while waiting in line at the check out, something in my head was telling me to buy a backup bottle, but the line was to long to go back & re wait so I though I will get a backup bottle next time when at the mall. Then last week, the price dropped from $39.50 to $22.95 as these are now being cleared from the shelves and discontinued. I got 4 more bottles because this fragrance is that good. It makes you smell like a man & is totally versatile & could be signature scent & does bring compliments. You can wear this dressed up or down & it lasts a good 7 - 8 hours on my skin & can smell on clothes the next day. To my nose this dries down to Gucci Guilty Absolute, but without the medicinal aroma hovering in the background. It is truly sad that this is being discontinued, but no worries here as I have plenty to last me loads of years. Fantastic value & in my opinion is worth easily over $100 per 100 ml. Online, these are sold out, so you have to visit Zara to get what ever is left on the shelves, before they are all gone forever.

An excellent alternative to Gucci Guilty Absolute. Not an exact clone, but the vibe is definitely there. The patchouly bomb at the drydown is exquisite, the oud is a bit too prominent for my taste, luckily the citrus turns it down considerably at the beginning, but it's there, as expected, and for quite some time. Be gentle with the sprays and make them light fingered, it may turn unbearable if you put more than 5 strong sprays. Nonetheless, It's a great blend from master Morillas, and as said, good to use it as alternative for GGA (if you cant find it, or find it too expensive). Anyway, even GGA is not an office friendly frag, nor for everyday use, so this should last quite the time in your arsenal as well (unless you live in the middle east and oud-based frags are common and strong frags accepted in your surroundings/workplaces all the time). Another good thing about this one, is that the black vanille is not as sweet as common vanille, giving it a darker appeal. I visited the mall today & stopped by Zara and went over the mens fragrances, smelling most of the testers & when I got to this one, I knew it had that special smell & I sprayed some on my wrist & then left the shop. About an hour later, I knew that I had to go back & purchase a bottle as it is so good & great value for the money. I have been wearing this all day now & it may well become my signature scent for the foreseeable future. I currently use Italian Cypress as my signature scent, but this is just as good, although it is 10% of the price of Italian Cypress. Eternal Oud & Italian Cypress are not the same smell, but they each have that mature manly smell. Gucci Guilty Absolute is similar to this Zara scent, except the Gucci is a lot harder to wear as can be very animalic & the Eternal Oud is amped down and much easier to wear. I have well over 300 fragrances with half of those being niche brands & Eternal Oud will now be in my top 10 list. So far it is lasting on my skin for over 6 hours and still smelling great. This is an all weather & any time fragrance and in my view it is being sold at 1/3rd of the price.

This whole line is quite impressive and I assume it will get some hate only because it's Zara - already all fragrances from this line and from new white line got hate votes - white line isn't even in most stores yet, only available online so no way someone could test it already. I'm not looking at label, I either enjoy wearing some fragrance or not. Elevated Oud for sure will be in my autumn/winter fragrance rotation - it's too hot in Poland to test it properly but I can only say I enjoy smelling it in the air a lot - warm, sweet (but not too sweet), cosy, well blended, oud'y (but not as many Middle Eastern fragrances - a bit westernised). May be considered as a Night Out/Date scent. Lasted whole day on my skin with 4hours strong and then 3 moderate projection. In US its $40...in Europe around $25 - this difference may have some impact on ratings.

My favourite of the Alberto Morillas Zara oud collection and the oudiest of them all, I bought a bottle on the spot. It is somewhat similar in concept and execution to another Zara fragrance, Magnificently Dubai. Starts off very candied-citrus-aromatic then turns deep, sweet, vanillic and chocolatey and then dries down to an oudy-leathery scent. Very well done. Overall, this Alberto Morillas collection is definitely worth attention and the quality is obviously there, IMO it is much better executed than the previous set (Lush Vetiver, Tobacco Sublime, etc.) The bottles state "parfum" and the projection must be good because I got a compliment from someone in the checkout line within minutes of trying them on my skin.

What can I say regarding this perfume from the great Alberto Morillas?! For the price it’s incredible, here’s my impressions on it. You get a lovely bright citrusy opening with a hint of spice lingering in the background, I presume some cardamom. It really radiates for about 4 hours on my skin which is really impressive. Once the bright opening has mellowed a little you’re left with a lovely base of a creamy and leathery oud scent, becoming a lot more rounded and something you’ll be sure to enjoy for the full day!

Phenomenal. One of if not The Best smelling oud/oriental fragrances I have smelled. After sitting on my shelf for a year it is even deeper and richer than it was. Citrusy top and woody spicy richness looming in the background. Smells divine. I love spraying it on my arm when I'm at home and enjoying the smell. Lasting power is very decent not beast mode but solid. I only wish I've scooped more than one bottle of Elevated Oud and also collected all four from the line. I also have Blooming Oud

I gotta say . i have had my bottles a little less than a year of maccerating in a cool dark place and in a word. Elevated Oud is nice . real nice. a smooth woody sweet with a darkness and manages to be a little lighter . Has a pleasant complexity about it . ive smelled Haltane and i find this one easier to wear. if you see a bottle and you want a pleasant darker scent that will work 2 seasons and 3 season for night wear leaning masculine , go for this one. Summer heat the only exclusion.

Since the spring is right around the corner and it's not so chilly anymore, I thought I should dust off my Zara London (Saville Row Mayfair), but my 80 ml formulation is too sweet for me (although much longer lasting than today's 100 ml, which I generally like more, cause it's fresher). So I came up with an idea to layer it with Elevated Oud. 4x London, 2x Elevated Oud and 2x London to top it off and BRUH how awesome the combination is! Try it ouD haha 😂

absolutely wonderful fragnance. I think this is probably the best ever zara fragnance because of its long lasting nature (even though zara fragnances don't really last that long). the smell is for night time or a date and is extremely masculine and woody. overall this fragnance will last you about 6 to 7 hours and has a great smell which i would definitely reccomend.

Just seeing the name Alberto Morillas on the bottle and I knew I had to have it. This time around he’s collaborating with Zara to produce 4 Oud scents and I’m enjoying every single one!! When they are all so good, it’s tough to rank it but I’ll place this ‘Elevated Oud’ at #3 from this collection and my other reviews will explain why.

This is one of those, where i regret not buying 2-3 bottles when i had the chance. Love everything about it, entry-niche level stuff from Zara for the cheap price. Dark, edgy yet some citrusy brightness that gives the darkness a somewhat sopthisticated and intriguing counterweight. Might ask AI for a time machine.

I own up to 100 fragrances, mostly "weird" niche ones, I somehow find the quality and profile of this scent rather appealing and so damn dark, and attractive. It got me compliments for sure. if you still can find it, just get it. I think this is the best one after Magnificent Black.

Classy asf scent. This is the fragrance!!! It starts off citrusy with the infamous Morillas leather accord,but dries down to a darker Haltane. I freaking love it. Dark, classy, leathery alpha male scent.

Well, despite my rather big collection, I am wearing this 4 days in a row. Don't even remember last time whenI was so interested in a fragrance. That says a lot 👍

I blind bought blooming OUD and elevated OUD online as they were highly discounted. I avoided the other two as I already own too many Acqua di Gio flankers and I didn't want more of them. These two instead were nothing like some of my fragrances I already own. While I was so pleasantly surprised with blooming OUD, elevated OUD left me a bit confused. I feel overwhelmed wearing it and so far I am still testing it out on my skin. I tried layering it with blooming OUD but the mix maybe it is too overwhelming as well! I'll probably use it later on while I get used to it. Anyone can recommend some layering suggestions?

Wow . It s actually insane for the price! First spray is bright citrus and cardamom, a bit sharp at first but then it turns warm and sweet fast The praline and vanilla hit just right, like a dark dessert with a woody base behind it.... And the oud isn’t harsh or loud, just smooth and classy, like soft shadows in the background Smells expensive, like something you’d find in a black bottle with gold writing and a €200 tag It lasts way longer than I expected Wore it to dinner, 3 sprays on my neck and wrist, still got hints of it the next morning! I regret not buying 3 bottles when I saw it at like €25

Endless Oud was almost a 1:1 clone of Gucci Guilty Absolute. I enjoyed every milliliter of that fragrance. This one reminds me of Bvlgari Terrae Essence and of course GG Absolute, but it's sweeter and less jarring. On skin during summer days' heat it is not a beast mode perfume. Although... I must admit this and Blooming Oud are the best in that new Morillas collection. Virtuous Oud smells like a calone bomb ~ADG and Memorable Oud smells like another Santal 33 dupe

This is a toned down and a smoother version of Philipp Plein's No Limit$ and it's also similar to GGA. The best from the Oud collection second comes Blooming Oud, the other two are also good but a bit generic, this one stands out for me and it's worth owning in my collection. For the price you can't go wrong with this.

The scent pyramid is quite accurate as stated on the back of the box. Longevity is very good, 7 hours on skin at least, thanks to the "PARFUM" concentration I guess? Currently on sale in many countries, grab one before it is out of stock, worth it!

Strong oud/woody smell, bought it back in italy by chance , was on sale for 30 euro i think?, definitely worth it, has a manly smell and lasts very long , worth 30 euros definitely..

To me this line from Zara as funny as it may sound is such a steal! Imo can sit next to high end niche fragrances.

Yesterday I thought it was a sort of Varvatos Dark Rider, but at the second day this perfume completely changed its smell. Leather is gone in favour of medicinals. Maybe the air going in? It is certainly peculiar and not a traditional perfume. I am now on the verge of hating it but I'll see if things keep changing with this. I am surprised to read in some countries these are about $40 since in Australia cost double that and at $80 I surely suggest you not to blind buy. If the guy up here wants a fifth bottle I am here. I wonder if Morillas sold to Zara all the left over formulas from the Jeremy's job.

Easily my most complimented fragrance. I was initially put off by it on first spray while at the store. However something drew me back to it a couple days later and I had to have it. I'm no stranger to oud, it's among my favorite notes. This is a rather tame and synthetic smelling rendition of it. It does retain some of the animalic and leathery accords that I love. The opening can be challenging. I don't particularly like cardamom and Zara seems to love this note. Once the praline and vanilla come into play and mingle and kiss wrapping the prominent citruses in a sweet embrace it take on a different form. Believe me when I say that this fragrance has various phases before it reaches the drydown. It opens on my skin for maybe a good hr then becomes this soothing mix of creamy Woody sweet patchouli with a hint of praline sweetness. A co worker of mine told me "your fragrance is very calming" and that it leaves quiet a trail. Performance is amazing I get at least 7hrs before I reapply with a spray or two. This NEEDS skin and TIME to develop. Morillas can do no wrong.

I’m not an expert in Zara frags but I own a few, and at least on the men’s side this has to be one of the best performing frags they have made. I would rather wear this than oud for glory or oud wood. It’s like a citrus Amber mixed with milk chocolate, pretty linear in my opinion, projects for at least 6 hours on my skin. I was hesitant at first to wear this in the summer but I threw on three sprays this morning and rocked it and I am loving it still. This is back up bottle worthy if you get a good price on it, I think I paid $20 and should have got all I could find but I’ll enjoy my one bottle for a while regardless. Also I tried the layering recommendation from serversky with Zara London and yeah that’s a bomb combination if you happen to own both you are winning.

It will be hard to find a better done fragrance for 40 dollars. I just smelled the entire line today for the first time and bought every single one. I rarely do that, I'm a little stingy. These have a quasi-niche sentimentality, they are a lot more interesting than typical designer and European fragrances. That being said, the actual scent profile is likely not going to be everybody's cup of tea, because I can actually smell the oud (synthetic, but smooth and nice) and a lot of people just do not like oud. I love it however, and if you like oud you likely will as well.

Love love love this one, it’s been macerating for over 8 months now and wauw, it’s even more potent and distinctive than before and long lasting . This is really one of Zara’s better if not best collaboration and perfume they ever brought out in my humble opinion ! So happy I have 2 back ups of this one in my collection as it is one of the best that Zara brought out these last years ! This is also a perfume , not an eau de parfum, so it's more concentrated thus longer lasting.

the pyrimid is very accurate on this one. starts of with a very citrusy and slighly spicy opening, quite intense, and then slowly develops a creamy sweeteness (from the vanilla and praline accord). the oud is there since the beginning, but at the drydown there's a creamy woody note that is the sandalwood coming through a little bit mixed with oud obviously. the only note that i can't really smel is the patchouli which is probably here to add performance (6-8 hours easily).

Notes on the package: woody cardamom , bergamot, lemon, praliné, patchouli oud, sandalwood, black vanilla On sale now ! I'm not as versed as many here to describe the notes etc, all I can say is this is a well made perfume and the more I use this one, the more it grows on me as I catch myself smelling my wrist with the reflection: " man , this smells good !" It also has quite some staying power and the dry down on clothes is eternal and sooooo good

I have tested Haltane by PDM with Elevated Oud by Zara side by side on scent blotter and skin. The top note of Zara is cheaper and synthetic, especially the top citrus. But after 30 minutes is almost identical. The projection and longevity are very strong. It remains on my clothes for weeks and almost a day on my skin. It's almost choking in the indoor environment. It works better for outdoor and cooler months. 6/10

Citrus, fresh, oud blend. Very Intriguing, aromatic, sparkling, masculine, rich & seductive. Elevated oud is an amazing fragrance you can wear all year round and it’s the best in the line, it’s also polarizing. The only fragrance it’s similar to that I’ve put my nose on is Good Morning Sir by Mine Labs which has been in my want list for a while. I’m glad I got this for cheaper! Niche scent profile. 👌🏽

This is a fresh oud with leather note fragrance. This is the juice you could imagine being put in one of this fine Acqua Di Parma bottles and sold for ten times the price . Uniqueness 9/10 Longevity 8/10 Silage 8/10 Price 10/10 Packaging 9/10 Go get it if you still can . If you like leather and Oud go get it .

I'm pretty sad for this discontinuous fragrance. It was one of my favorite perfume. Very well worked and built, woody and spicy with a touch of fresh citrus, very masculine and classy. I do love the Morillas' work and this Elevated Oud is not an exception. I really wish to find an equivalence in the future.

Nearly a year since purchase and it's maceration has been crazy. It opens more citric then when I first got it. Dry down is also a bit powdery now like fresh saw dust. Amazingly blended fragrance for a Zara one. I'm at 7hrs right now still going semi strong from 2 sprays

This is a clone of Fragrance One's Black Tie (the absurdly priced one). very similar wood-leather accord/base with a similar level of longevity, the opening of Black Tie is a bit more fresh and citrusy but besides that they are very similar.

User votes making me doubt myself because I thought Blooming Oud was the one that resembles Oud for Greatness. Elevated Oud is quite a leathery oud something with some black vanilla thing going on that I couldn't make much of it.

Genuinely happy with Zara for making a long lasting range of more daring, niche fragrances. Elevated Oud definitely isn't for everyone, but for those who appreciate it for being unique, it's great.

This is very nice and has fantastic longevity, I can smell this on my clothes for next few days. However I am finally willing to admit, that oud perfumes do not work for me.

This smells terrible. So disappointed. And I can’t even return it.
