Energy Vibe

This scent is fun! I was surprised to see notes on Fragrantica - without looking at notes, I would classify it as fruity. Pleasant, uplifting, well-rounded scent on a lighter side. Far from my idea of a typical green / aromatic/ fresh spicy scent. Great for spring and summer. Good for informal occasions - something to spray on to smell nice and not offensive. Easy to wear for younger people. It's my favorite scent from this line, next to Vibrancy Adventures.

My favourite perfume for the high heat of summer. I primarily get bergamot from this, then mint. It's a straightforward scent, but refreshing and cuts through the humidity of summer. Feels like something you would find in Guerlain's Aqua Allegoria line. I believe they also do a bergamot scent, which is probably where I would look once my bottle of Energy Vibe has run dry.

This is the only fragrance I like in this collection. The mint and lavender are well blended. Smells really fresh and it is wearable.

Fresh spicy, green and aromatic scent, dominated by a strong mint. I wanted it to be more herbaceous insted it behaves more like an aromatic, giving a burst of energy and a cool sensation upon application. It then turns in to a clean, fabric softner musky scent, with a jasmine tea and green tea undertone and a very light fresh balmy touch in the base. Clean and lightly powdery but still centered on mint. If you are intrested in a more detailed description here is how it fares on my skin: it opens with a burst of fresh and tart bergamot that mixed with the mint gets lightly lemony, but it is not harsh at all. What I find a bit harsh at first is the mint note. This is a very different mint from the one in Zara Waterlily Tea Dress, it starts more herbal and true to the plant, lightly green in color, but it soon develops in to a less herbaceous and more chewing gum mint, very peppermint in smell, and fresh spicy, with an added lemongrass facet. Even the cool sensation it gives in the opening and mid fase makes me think of peppermint, its color would be a deep green, with maybe some yellow grains. The mint is strong, it reminds me of some mint candies called Tic Tac and it lasts until dry down, at times it even recalls the crunchy texture of the exterior of a gum. This stage could come forward as a bit harsh but luckly it never reaches bug spray or cleaning product territory. The mint note mellows down thanks to some of the clean musk of the base that starts to warm up, and thanks to some very green, clean and tea like jasmine, only lightly floral, much more similar to green jasmine tea. At this stage the fragrance develops a green tea character too, that I enjoy a lot, to the point of resembling very vividly Green Tea by Elizabeth Arden if smelled it in the air, a more natural version of that, from very close you can still find a very strong peppermint component. Now the scent verges on zen and meditative style instead of clean or simply freshie and energizing, with an undertone of fresh clean linen/sheets from the musk and lightly powdery. Unfortunatelly when the lavender notes come forward the fragrance reaches shower gel or detergent like territory. First time I used it the lavender was so strong to the point of being bothering and suffocating the jasmine, after a couple of months of maceration luckly that strong lavender is toned down, it has now a light presence but it still smells very much like a detergent product and masculine, not at all a sweet or herbaceous lavender. I had high hopes for the dry down, and I bought this just to see how the mint would have beheved on a base of myrrh, but the musk continues to be the major player in the dry down, there is a very light fresh resinous quality but it doesn't smell like proper myrrh (be it bitter or sweet). The cedar I can't find it at all, but others reviewers said it was what made the base on them. Energy Vibes last incredibly well for being a Zara fresh fragrance, for about seven hours, projecting moderately for the first hours. It is now on sale for about 12,00€, and I think it is one of the best strong mint fragrances on the low cost market, fresh and almost a solinote although I must say I prefer both the mint and the musk in Zara Waterlilly Tea Dress. This time the whole collection didn't smell so Jo Malone to me, maybe she is experimenting a bit. Packaging is very cute and clean and a nod to one of the packaging of her previous line, this line has a 100ml bottle (versus the usual 80ml or 90ml). The vibes of the scent go from energizing as the name says, to zen and clean to then almost shower gel. I find the clean, fabric softner like musk quite modern and enveloping, even if the scent as a whole is more fresh then anything else. I would not wear it to the gym, I think it's too banal for that, it would be a cliché to use it that way, but for a brunch on a hot summer day and layered with something else... maybe even some strong sensual jasmine or some green tea, I think it could be perfect, it adds a touch of modernity and I find the mint both chic and sporty. Jo Malone quote about the fragrance is: "Call to action, pushing boundaries and being the first to tread a path, pioneering a Picasso spirit. A slight aggression in the feel of this fragrance, quite surreal". Yes. There is something aggressive and assertive to the way the mint present itself, but then ot almost arrives to a zen dimension so I guess there would be the calm of focus needed to "pioneering a Picasso spirit". I wonder if Energy Vibes was afterall an ode to athletes from the way she spokes, or just an ode to adventure. EDIT: ops, I forgot! This does not smell like You or Someone Like You from ELDO, the type of mint is almost the same, very fresh and cooling but this misses essential notes such as anise and cassis and it shows because the effect is different, besides that one almost has a cocktail vibe of mojito, full of lime. Energy Vibe leans on shower gel territory in comparison.

i can see why this one is called "energy vibe". no this isn't anything special but this one puts me in a good mood. at first spray, i get a tarty-bergamot and some slight mint. but the best part is when it dries down to a nice unisex, citrusy-musk skin scent. i'm also confused as to why the 'captivating memories' line went straight to sale after a month of it's release? not that i'm complaining!

It starts off a bit harsh with citrus and mint, but they loose intensity quickly. After, the musk is most prominent, it's like those "cotton/fresh laundry" home fragrances with men's mint shower gel. The smell is inoffensive and definitely unisex, sweeter on skin and fresher on clothes.

Smells like tea Unisex leaning feminine or is it feminine leaning unisex? Don't know I actually like it, but not enough to keep it

i smell only cedar, bergamot and mint. i cant smell the jasmine or myrrh... but it's quite fun and fruity! reminds me of gucci bamboo.... but hmm..just ok.. not bad..

To me, it kinda smells like a herbal shampoo. However, after putting it on my skin I smell as if I just exited McDonald's? It really reminds me of the McDonald's smell lol I don't like it but I'm sure it's just my skin's chemistry

Not a dupe for YSLY. It’s a nice fresh green scent on its own, but it’s a bit too “perfumey” to me.
