Fashionably London Elixir

Let's cut straight to the chase, this is an outstanding fragrance for the price. Creamy yet jammy rose that's beautifully complimented by the bergamot, peony and musk. Is it feminine leaning? Honestly, not to me. Maybe a little for some individuals who shy away from florals but any man who appreciates rose and is confident can very easily wear this and should! In fact, the reason I encountered this scent initially was because someone sprayed it next to me in the changing room at my gym. He let me have a spray on skin and the same day I went to the effort of visiting my local-ish Zara and grabbed a bottle, plus a bottle of sunrise on the red sand dunes intense, another absolutely brilliant perfume from the brand too. Ok, so does Fashionably London have decent performance! Yep, this stuff has plenty and I mean a stack of it. You'll need to watch your sprays, four maximum will see you through 12+ hours with at least half of that projecting around a room the size of a theatre. 😆 It never becomes a skin scent, I fell asleep after wearing this for a full day and awoke hours later to a room filled with the scent, I could still smell Fashionably London for the best part of a week on my bedding and around my bedroom in general. So yes, it is strong! Probably best not to wear this in anything approaching higher temperatures, definitely one for the cooler autumn and spring days and if course deepest, darkest winter. It's hard to place who will enjoy this scent the most, I'm a fairly modern middle aged man...I think! 😆. I really love this scent as does my wife and teenage daughter. The crowd at my gym all like this too, ranging from men and women in their 20's to both sexes of more mature years. Obviously don't wear while working out but this is a fragrance that can be worn daily if managed appropriately and on a night out or special occasion, just not mid summer or to a sweaty night club etc. This product is genuinely excellent and if you like the profile you'll be getting an incredibly deep, rich perfume with extravagant but quite versatile performance. Brilliant perfumery that's incredibly hard to beat for value. The only problem for you will be fighting your family for it! 😆

TR Gerçekten çok güzel bir gül yorumu olmuş. Orijinalinin açılışına bayılıyordum. Bu versiyonda sanki o açılış parfümün tümüne yayılmış ve daha da yoğunlaştırılmış gibi. Kuruyuştaki gül çok yeşil ve gerçekçi geldi bana. Biraz Tom Ford’un Rose Prick’ini andırdı. Bu versiyonunu çok daha fazla sevdim kesinlikle. Orjinali biraz daha yaza bu kış ve geceye uygun gibi geldi. Performansına hayran kaldım. Kargomu ancak gece açabildim ve denemek için koluma bir fıs sıkmıştım. Gece uykumda burnuma ara ara parfümün kokusu geldi hep ve sabah uyandığımda kolum hala yoğun bir şekilde kokuyordu. Bence yayılım da oldukça başarılı çünkü sıktığım odaya da girip çıktıkça uzun bir süre kokuyu aldım. Zara’nın Jo Malone ortaklığındaki parfümlerinin çoğunu beğenmiştim fakat bu oldukça üst segment niş kalitesinde bir parfüm olmuş. Gerçekten 10/10 diyebileceğimiz türden. Umarım hiç üretimden kaldırmazlar. EN It's a really beautiful rose fragrance. I loved the opening of the original. In this version, it's as if that opening has spread throughout the perfume and intensified it even more. The rose in the dry down is really green and realistic. It reminded me Rose Prick by Tomd Ford. The original seemed a bit more suitable for summer, this winter and night. I definitely liked this version much more. This is definitely a beast mode fragrance. I only managed to open my package at night, so I sprayed a spray on my arm to test it out. I kept getting a whiff of the perfume intermittently as I slept, and when I woke up the next morning, my arm was still heavily scented. I think the sillage was quite successful, because I could smell it for a long time, even going in and out of the room where I sprayed it. I've enjoyed most of Zara's Jo Malone collaboration perfumes, but this one is a very niche quality fragrance. It's a 10/10. I hope they never discontinue it.

I used to hate rose scents till this year, maybe it was something about turning 21 and maturing or maybe it was smelling Phlur’s Rose Whip in my local Space NK. And now this, this a rose scent. A month ago in the middle of July me and my best friend were sat at a cafe, we were hit by the most godly waft of rose in the world. We looked around but couldn’t find anyone, it kept coming and coming, we were puzzled- surely it was too strong to be a perfume. To our left we saw the only person around- a very stylish and beautiful old man with a grey moustache, smoking what must have been a cigarette made with rose added somewhere. This fragrance is that moment and more. It’s smoky, but jammy, deep and almost woody but light and sweet in its projection, the rose certainly strengthens over time as the smoke and mirrors fade away. The review that said this is ‘dirty delina’ is absolutely correct. The opening is quite unisex, imagine passing a gorgeous couple at a bar and they both smell good, but as it fades it’s undeniably feminine. It’s lasting power is mwah. If this perfume isn’t the man sat smoking rose rolled cigarettes, then to me it’s a sexy dark haired lady wearing a black mini dress in a French church at Sunday service after a heavy Saturday night. It’s sensual, it’s sexy, it’s deep, it’s sweet, it doesn’t make me think of anything to do with London but this perfume is the woman I want to be.

I remember trying this on after someone suggested it. Now, as someone who works 8-hour shifts in food retail, I wear it almost every day, and here's why. 1. Insane longevity. It doesn't leave your skin. Even after a hot shower at the end of the day, the heat from the water makes the scent emanate from my skin as I shower. A few sprays and you're good for HOURS. 2. Good, especially if you have a long day of work/physical activity. It develops as it reacts to your body heat and chemistry 3. Elicits a lot of compliments for its sillage and the way it projects in a room. I've been told it smells expensive. 4. The top notes aren't exactly my favourite, as soon as you spray it. But it does get better with time. 5. Most importantly, affordable. Also, economical; 1 bottle lasts me for at least 6 months (with daily usage). Cons: 1. You can give yourself and people around you a headache/nausea if you spray too much 2. I wore it every day for more than 8 months, so now I am slightly indifferent to the smell for someone who was obsessed when I first got it. Be sure to switch it up a little 3. The EDP version is somehow less cloying, and the base remains at the right point. 4. The rose scent can definitely be cloying if you're someone who cannot stand it 5. performs better in cold weather, feels too heavy for summer.

When I first bought this perfume, I had a real love//hate relationship with it. The opening smelled very synthetic and sharp to me, to the point that I was disappointed and ended up selling it on Vinted. Some time later, something funny happened. I work in a store and one of our regular clients always wore this perfume. Wherever she walked, she left an amazing trail behind her. The scent was noticeable, elegant and very attractive. I finally asked her what she was wearing and she said: Fashionably London Elixir. She also told me she gets a lot of compliments with it. I was honestly shocked, because I had owned it before and didn’t like it... but that experience made me want to give it a second chance. So I bought it again and now I’m completely OBSESSED with this perfume 😍 I don’t know if my nose changed, if the weather helped, or if I simply didn’t understand it the first time... but now I find it addictive, sexy and comforting at the same time. The projection and trail are beautiful, and it truly feels like a compliment magnet. ZARA, please... we need a body cream and a hair mist of this fragrance 🙏✨
