Fields at Nightfall 2020

It's so funny to me that I tried out Zadig & Voltaire This is Her a few times but I was never really impressed. Yet when I was randomly browsing Zara's perfumes (after getting the one I went for) I unexpectedly immediately fell in love with Fields at nightfall. I didn't know it was a dupe for This is her at first and I just immediately got it. After I searched it up I found out. I started to wear it a lot and it's such a pretty scent, it's sweet but in a lactonic praline-sandalwood way, so to me it's not a true gourmand fragrance, but so comforting and pleasant (this was my confirmation I liked sandalwood). Layers with other scents quite nicely too. Its longevity is moderate, but it lasts nicely on clothes. After a while I finally tried out once more This is her and this time I could fully appreciate it. They smelled exactly the same to me, will have go try it again though to see how the OG's longevity is. If the projection and longevity really are much better than Zara's (as most people say it is) and if I find a good deal, I might get that one too one day. Until then I'll stick with Zara (and I might get a second bottle when I finish this one, which might be sooner later than later, but it's inexpensive so not worried). Or just get Fields' intense version if it's the same scent but with even better longevity (since Applejuice intense was a *bit* different than the og).

OK, listen. I used to believe that Zara dupes were overhyped but, now that I have tried a couple of them, I believe they actually deserve more hype. Now, for this one. I went to the mall a couple of weeks ago. First I went to Sephora and I sprayed This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire on my left wrist. Ten minutes later I went to Zara and almost jokingly sprayed "Fields" on my right wrist. So. I guess a more sophisticated nose than mine would detect some difference, but to me, these are absolutely the same, from the first spray to the drydown and after. Notice that I am not saying they're "similar" - nonono, guys, I am saying these are THE SAME. And I know I sound like a Zara representative at this point (I promise you I am not) BUT I must also tell you that I could feel "Fields" on my right wrist at least couple of hours after "This Is Her" had completely faded from my left wrist. Now... I am not sure if that's because the drydown of "This Is Her" is more similar to my natural smell so this is why I couldn't smell it anymore, I am only telling you for a fact which one I could smell longer, and it was "Fields". I am similarly impressed by "Golden Decade" (Zara's YSL Libre Intense dupe) but I already wrote a separate review for this, you can take a look if you want. If all of Zara's dupes are this good, I honestly don't know if I'll buy an expensive perfume ever again.

So I decided I was gonna write reviews for perfumes, and where else to start if not for my signature? I have repurchased a 100ml bottle (and a 10ml roller on) after flying through my first bottle of this. Not only is this an EXACT copy of This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire (which I don’t own a bottle of but have tested numerous times) but it smells even better than what the notes indicate. On my nose its more lactonic than woody, and the dry down is a little floral in the heat (which is not my cup of tea but its a people pleaser). There was a time when I could not go a single day without smelling this: my eyes would roll back at every whiff of this milky, sweet goodness, and I would drown myself in it every night before bed. Unfortunately for some reason I stopped feeling this way and it would cause minor headaches (I’m very prone to migraines), so I’m learning to love it the way I used to, but I doubt it’s something I can condition myself to do. Even if I don’t adore it the same way as I did in the past, the memory of cherishing this scent lingers so much so that I can handle a little migraine here and there. My friends said it smelled like sweet, cold metal. Like a grandpa that works with iron and hugs his granddaughter a bit too much. I have NO idea whether this is a good thing or a bad thing and frankly I dont really care.

Tested Zadig and Voiltaire This Is Her, then bought it and spritzed it on the opposite hand. This is the exact dupe, only less intense. It started fading way more quickly, while the Z&V one is still going strong after 2 hours and something more. The price is a good enough reason for me to settle with this one, no need owning both. Talking about the fragrance itself, it's sweet but in an interesting way, full of character, the kind of smell you remember for the print and not just for sweetness/intensity Edit after trying it again: I like it so much 🥰 it's sweet and cozy like a cup of sweetened milk, if it was a colour it would be teddy bear brown 🤎 with a touch of baby pink. I would say the general vibe is basic vanilla BUT with a clever variation that makes it fuller and less basic. Top note should be sweet and not woody, so watch out if you don't like overly sweet stuff. Longevity is not its best feature so I think I will enjoy it on summer nights. Def not a day scent in my opinion, maybe during cold winter. Flirty but not sexy. Youthful without being naive. Like like like.

I do also have the original , the 'this is her' from zadig & voltaire and to me both smell 100% simmilar, and with the same performance . Well done zara! Love love love this scent ...on my skin , my hair, my cloth and...... my curtons.... so I bought a couple of bottles of this(is her) zara version. Edit: I love to layer this with desigual You ( coffee scent) and a very nice dupe of armani Si ..... so first a lot! of fields than a few sprays of You and finnish it of with Si. Specially for those who have some trouble with the milkeness of fields by zara, this layering makes it vanish, also on cloth. Heavenly good .... my own Niche! Edit 14-06-2022: Now I am wearing "this fields", and for me it now becomes def. a 100% summerscent, refound love! In the cold days of autumn and winter I tried a few times wearing it and layering it, and I didnt like it anymore, kind of upsets me, for this was a big love for me in previous year. So happy I can wear it again , plain or I layer it with vanille coco and almond scents,to make it very tropical and beachy.

I picked up this perfume randomly at Zara and was delighted to find I really loved the scent. Since then I've heard it is a dupe for This is Her and is more alcoholic-smelling and doesn't last as long, however I've never tried the original and I've had this fragrance for a few months now and have almost used up the bottle. It's a lovely, feminine scent that is floral and gourmand-y, I can definitely get notes of the praline which I really like. It's cosy and sweet (not sickeningly so) and though it doesn't last a very long time, I find it works for me if I re-apply every now and again, or if I layer it with another perfume. I do think its a great and affordable option compared to the original, which I hope to test soon because I can't get enough of this fragrance. It feels like something Elena Gilbert might wear, it reminds me of a cosy autumn afternoon writing in your diary in a warm-lit bedroom, or reading at a cafe.

It’s a skin chemistry thing i suppose bec on my skin i get a beautiful soft creamy tuberose and some powdery subtle sandalwood. The fragrance i would wear if i were a ceramic-artist who listens to Faiz Ahmed Faiz and Ghalib, has an indoor garden with 32 species of plants and wears soft pastels and cashmere. Sadly i am a doctor and seldom enjoy such quiet (nevermind, in alternate universe.) I keep repurchasing this bec it reminds me of the tuberose garden that my dad tends to at home and this takes me back. It’s so vivid. I have smelt them side by side, the flowers in his garden and this perfume on my wrist. And i am assured i can carry a bit of home on my sleeves anywhere i go and that makes me happy. Not every perfume has to stand out and screech in the face. Some feel like a hug and this is one of them. Also why would you wear sth to please others? My family hates chypre but i love them and wear them anyway.

I'm still not sure. When I first sprayed. I really like it as it sits on my skin. It gets really really really sweet. Almost too sweet. It might be the praline I don't think I like praline and fragrances. I don't think I could wear it up by my face on my neck or my chest or anything. I'm not even going to try. I do like it. But I don't love it and I don't think I would buy it again. I might not even finish this bottle. I might give it to a friend. I got it cheap on eBay. It was 3/4 of a bottle. Somebody just didn't like it anymore. I guess. It's one of those if you like. Sweet! If you like praline then you'll probably like this. I don't know what I would mix it with to bring it down a little. Maybe some molecule one or something.. I would only recommend this if you like extremely sweet fragrances. This is not a gourmand but it's really really sweet. And I don't think I like really, really sweet.

In love! I recently went to Zara and sampled some fragrances while I was waiting... and this was so... familiar. I spent a good 5 minutes trying to figure it out as I don’t own whatever it reminded me of. Finally it hit me: Zadig and Voltaire! Z&V was the best concept and mainstream fragrance release on the market that year... and this dupe is fantastic. It captures Z&V perfectly as a concept - but its gentler, cosier, less extroverted and more like a skin scent... baby Z&V. On my skin, this is creamy, soft and beautiful. Lactonic, creamy sandalwood, gently gourmand-spiced. Picture a creamy-sweet-sandalwood-spiced milk custard. A wispy breeze of moghra (jasmine) in the opening. Very easy wearing. This is an easy blind buy if you loved Z&V but found it too strong/overwhelming. Gorgeous skin scent. Fantastic job Zara!

I blind bought this yesterday and I’m in love with it! I was really worried because some lactonic scents tend to turn sour on my skin but thankfully this didn’t. The scent profile is very simple, it’s a nice creamy sandalwood with a nutty undertone. I don’t smell much of the jasmine, but I like that since I wanted a straightforward sandalwood scent. It almost smells like a cocoa or woody coconut lotion. The scent actually reminds me of the palmer’s coconut body oil but a little woodier. The only con for me is the performance; Fields at nightfall is a very soft scent that doesn’t project much and tends to get swallowed up in layering combos especially with my much stronger arabian perfumes. I liked layering it with other creamy scents to add a woody depth to them, like Marshmallow Blush and Eclaire.

This smells like jasmine, sandalwood and sweetened condensed milk. Powdery, super cozy and warm, perfect for a winter snowy evening in bed. Lasts about 7 hours on me and cheap enough to respray to my heart’s content. Great inoffensive, pretty work scent. I’ve resisted blind buying This Is Her for at least a year and was finally able to try this in store after hearing it was a dupe. Was not a love for me at first but It’s pleasant and I enjoyed it enough walking around Zara to spend $11 on it. After a few days of wearing it definitely is a love now. It transformed from just milky sandalwood to this amazing soft, creamy jasmine that I can’t get enough of. Something in the back of my mind though is still taunting, “if you think this is good I bet This Is Her is better”

This is definitely a dupe for Zadig & Voltaire’s This Is Her. I compared them side by side, and I actually prefer Fields at Nightfall. I wasn’t a fan of the pepper note in Z&V, so I returned it. Fields at Nightfall smells just like Z&V but without the pepper. It’s creamy, milky, and sweet—exactly what I’ve been looking for! I just got this perfume 2 weeks ago, and the packaging is different from the previous version with the pink cap. It seems like it might’ve been reformulated to last longer and be more intense. It lasted 6-8 hours on me, even though others have said it only lasts 3-4 hours. The scent stuck to my clothes all day. I’m definitely planning to repurchase!

This perfume has nothing to do with fields, it's straight up a gourmand scent. The name of it made me think this would be my summer scent, and honestly it will be, but it's more suitable for fall. At first it's soft and creamy, then it turns into this lactonic scent with a hint of jasmine. Something about it makes me feel very nostalgic, maybe that's why I liked it so much. If you're just starting out with lactonic scents it's an unexpensive good choice. Unfortunately, doesn't last very long on skin nor on clothes, so I think it's a good idea to buy the mini and throw it in your purse. It was a blind buy for me but I think I'll buy it again when it gets colder!

Beautiful fragrance. I love a milky perfume, and i'm collecting quite the bunch. This manages to feel lactonic without ever becoming heavy or cloying. The sandalwood is soft and creamy on my skin, with none of the pickle effect that sandalwood can sometimes have. There's a lovely musky warmth running through it, along with subtle florals that stop it from feeling too gourmand. I have a sample of This Is Her and I agree with the comparisons. They definitely share the same DNA. But you know what? I like this one better. It has the comforting, cosy feel of This Is Her, but is airier, softer and easier to wear. Please don't ever discontinue this, Zara!

This fragrance is my guilty pleasure. It's not super sweet, it's a little sour, like you know that warm sweet and sour milk smell that babies have.. This kinda has that quality to it but shockingly enough it isn't gross..!! The sandalwood and jasmine balance out the lactonic qualities very nicely. I wouldn't consider it elegant which is something I normally gravitate towards, but it's not over the top fun or sexy either, it's calm, sensual and self-assured. It's the best Zara fragrance that I've tried alongside Fashionably London. I think Zadig & Voltaire This is Her smells a little sweeter and stronger but they're pretty much the same.

It was a gamble for me. I love sandalwood, amber, and jasmine, but I wasn't sure about the praline. After reading the reviews and feeling desperate because Zadig & Voltaire is hard to find in my country, I followed my impulsive thought: It's affordable, buy it! And not for a second do I regret it! This was love at first sniff. It's sweet, but not overly so, creamy sandalwood and warm amber are perfectly blended. I got the new bottle, which I find more elegant, in my opinion. The lasting power isn't the best; I have to reapply every 2 or 3 hours. But that's not a problem at all, every time I reapply, I truly enjoy it.

This was a blind buy after seeing all the positive reviews here and on youtube. I just received my bottle in the mail today and I really enjoy this scent. Lactonic, creamy, warm, floral, slightly woody/amber scent. Great for sweater weather. I’ve never smelt zadig & voltaire TIH, so I can’t say if this is a dupe...however, I do own commodity- milk expressive and the similar lactonic/milky/sweet cream scent is there!!! I would love to layer fragrance with glossier - you or commodity milk...maybe even MM- by the fireplace. For the price it’s a great perfume! Easy to layer with or wear alone as a nice warm skin scent.

So cozy!! I love the blend of sweet, lactonic, and powdery accords. I was pleasantly surprised by how unique it smells, especially for a Zara fragrance. I’ve been trying to avoid purely gourmand scents since I’ve already amassed quite a few, which is why I gravitated toward this one. It’s sweet, but the middle and base notes prevent it from becoming too cloying. I think this could easily become someone’s signature scent (mine). I just found out they remade this with coconut water. What is Zara doing? I haven’t smelled the new versions yet, but I might actually start saving my travel-sized 2020 one. Boo.

This definitely is a dupe for Z&V This is Her, This is Her is obviously a bit more complex and not so linear but Fields At Nightfall is very, very close. The strength and longevity of both are even closer as This is Her is not really a strong perfume in the first place. With the price tag of This is Her being crazy at the moment I'll use this dupe to strengthen and prolong Z&V. I bought my 30ml bottle of This is Her for 35 EUR half a year ago, it is now 55 EUR, what in the world happened!? I wouldn't be so annoyed if the scent wasn't kind of weak. Zara coming in with the lifesaver.

I think people are putting too much pressure on it. Its just one fragrance. Its not going to do everything for you. Ive been in this journey since a long time now and in my initial years even i felt that way. But here’s what- each perfume has a time and place. Fields at nightfall might be cloying on a sunny day. But it feels comforting like a hug from your partner on a rainy night. Ive started to be more open to all my perfumes. Some have already surprised me. Some, im just waiting for them to shine. :)

Nothing will ever top This is her for me. It's my ride or die....BUT this is legitimately the only perfume I've ever been complimented on. This alone will grant this perfume a raving review from me. This DOES smell like This is her by Z&V but it's not a perfect replica. But I'd argue Zara's perfume managed to omit any issues other people have with This is Her. (pickle smell or whatever else people are saying). Which makes it much more approachable. Most compliments came from men if that matters.

I totally agree with the review below mine. This is slightly sweeter than the OG and less nutty. The essence is otter much the same. If I had to choose between the two, i would choose the OG. Mainly because I like that it’s less sweet and I get the chestnut note. But they are close enough that it’s probably better just to get the Zara and save a few bucks. This is a warm, cozy, lactonic, creamy sandalwood scent. Great for everyday and perfect for cozy nights in. I love it.

Loooooved this one! Bought the 30 ml last november because I wanted to try something cozy for the winter season and that is exactly what I got! I used it all the time and it somehow brought me a sense of joy. Wish it'd lasted longer (on my skin - just maybe 1 hour? and maybe 2 on my clothes) - but also in the bottle (it was all already gone by the end of december 😢). I doubt that I would have used it in the summer anyway - but I'll surely repurchase it soon!

When i was at uni this was my go to at winter time. Its so cheap super chic and not popular which is good. I spreyed this to my scarf and oh boy it was giving me an amazing walk around the campus with a coffee in my hand. Its a warm cozy scent but be careful don't overspray it!. Atleast not close to your nose. Don't reccomend wearing this in a close space but walking in the park wearing this is so good. I've tried so many Zara perfumes, nothing beats this.

I DIE FOR THIS PERFUME <3 it's sweet but not too sweet, it reminds me of strawberry milk. I think it also has some peach notes but idk. You can perceive the spices and the woody scent but again, it's not too strong c: It's a cozy perfume, you can also sleep with it. I think it's better to wear it during cold seasons. The scent lasts quite long to be a zara perfume. I highly recommend spraying it 5 inches away so that it covers more surface. I love itttt<3

This is, hands down, Zara's best perfume release (imho). It smells 100% like This is Her by Zadig & Voltaire, which is one of my favorite perfumes ever. Even though Fields at Nightfall doesn't have any chestnut or cream notes, somehow it manages to replicate the original creaminess and coziness that makes This is Her so unique to me. I am really happy Zara released this, the performance is extraordinary and it's just 1/3 of the price of This is Her.

I love this fragrance. I think it’s unique, comforting, yet sexy. It’s like a warm hug with a sensual undertone. With a few light sprays I think this could pass as a ‘just my skin, with clean clothes which have been freshly ironed!’ scent. I also have ‘This is Her Zadig & Voltaire’ and they are nearly identical. Z&V is slightly sweeter, longer lasting and more complex smelling. Definitely better, but this is still lovely.

I sprayed the original and I was sniffing my wrist for hours. I then ran into the Zara version, and honestly its is almost identical. The fragrance is mesmerizing, I get musk, vanilla, amber, pepper.....I could easily call this an amazing musk frag although its not supposed to have musk. It is velvety, balming, soft and intense at the same time. Amazingly sexy, intoxicating. Can't get enough of this.

I first tried this in cooler weather and really liked its cozy amber and floral vibe. Now it’s getting warmer and I like it in the heat, too. It’s versatile and pairs well with other scents. I’m currently wearing it with Lalique Amethyst and it reminds me of a sun-warmed meadow, slowly cooling as the sun goes down - fragrant dried grass, wildflowers, and ripening berries with fresh green leaves 🍃

This is my favorite from Zara, and not just because is really really similar to TIH, but because it is long lasting on my skin (some days even more than TIH). The exit note has a distinguishing smell from TIH, is something sharp that I can't tell. Doesn't bother me, but some people can dislike. The drydown is where it get most similar to TIH, the cozy and sweet smell, perfect for the autumn.

A sweet, lactonic, powdery fragrance - more cold than cloying (which I love!). Superb value for money when compared to many more expensive fragrances and very comforting. Best worn on chilly days with a big jumper and a mug of coffee. I don't know if anyone has ever tried to combine it with a stronger, darker fragrance (spices or coffee come to mind) but I would love to know the results.

When I picked up the tester spray at Zara, I knew I had to have it. No literally, the scent grabbed my nose and said “Buy me!”. It’s very warm, sensual, intimate and cozy. On me, it’s a very sweet milky floral, with hints of amber. There’s depth because of the sandalwood. It has a familiar but distant scent about it. I love it. I would wear this in the fall/winter to a fine dining place.

I haven't tried This Is Her but it has been recommended to me a lot, so I thought I'd give Fields of Nightfall a try as it is so inexpensive. I had a feeling I was going to love it and I was right. This was a love at first sniff for me. It's creamy, milky, woody, clean, cozy and just simply delicious. It's pure comfort in a bottle. I'm so glad I blind bought this, it was truly worth it.

It's exactly the same as Zadig & Voltaire's 'This is Her' - I can't tell the difference! I am so obsessed with this scent that I bought more than one bottle, I have to say that this Fields scent is perfect for summer days. it looks good on my skin in winter. Sometimes I even mix a bit of coconut and almond for a tropical beach feel. Zara, you did a good job with this, really good.

despite the mixed reviews, I love it, Personally I have to spray a lot to be able to smell it, but the real magic happens when the wind blows. I was sitting by an open window and caught a whiff of myself - it smells like the warm beginning of spring air. Beautiful, cozy, sweet, even though I'm not the biggest floral lover (rather fruits and vanillas) this one is beautiful

This perfume makes me feel like taking an everything shower and putting lotion on and then sleeping in fresh bed sheets. I saw this perfume from my roommate. I tried it and it just smells so good. Used to be my signature perfume. Also a lot of people stopped me and asked which perfume i was wearing. I stopped using it because in my country it got really known...

Warm and cozy! This is like a hug on a cold, dreary day. The sandalwood and chestnut are comforting. This is the kind of sandalwood that I prefer, the creamy kind. I do not like the dry, pickley kind. It's a great cheapie for fall and winter days. I love it. Decent home, running errands and work scent. I have the OG ZV but haven't cracked into that one yet.

In my opinion, this is an even better version of This is her. Such a creamy and delicious fragrance for everyday use and I may even consider it as my signature fragrance. For a Zara perfume, has great lasting power and the sillage is very very good. I would recommend buying this over this is her since it is a great dupe at a way lower price point.

Has a littleeeee bit of spiciness to it. Gorgeous skin scent. Sweet but not sickly, very creamyyyyy, woody and musky; like a warm cup of condensed milk with some woodiness and musk. Very feminine, sensual and inviting. Longevity is amazing, lasts all day on clothes, performs well in both heat and cold. A favourite atm.

It's so deep, warm and cozy. My favorite comfort scent. Milky and lovely. When I layer it with Vanilla 28 it becomes a gourmand paradise, like sweet cookies with milk. Also, I've sprayed it on one of my coats last year and I can still smell it after a year when I open my closet.

This has quickly become my most reached-for perfume. It is the coziest, warmest, lactonic, skin-like, clean (but not lacking in depth), soft , intoxicating fragrance. Very feminine. My new favourite. I hope Zara never discontinues this, I will need several back-up bottles.

I have found my signature scent and it does not cost an arm and a leg. I love how comforting it is and I do get compliments mostly from women. Men are not exacly fans of this scent but I don't really care because this instantly lifts my mood as soon as I smell it on me.

this is for sure one of my favorite perfumes ever, its so comforting for me, very creamy and lactonic.. sweet but not too sweet. it really smells like a warm hug. and even though its sweet and lactonic i feel like you can use this in the daytime and in summer.

Beautifully blended perfume. Not overwhelming and very easy to wear but with a great sillage and longevity ( however i do overspray, so i cannot be too objective about this). Very close to This is Her and somehow i get a bit of Qissa Delicious by Paris Corner

Such a lovely and comforting scent! A lactonic and slightly sweet scent. The sandalwood is the most prominent note on my skin. I spray it on my clothes, since it lasts barely an hour on my dry skin. I don't mind reapplying though, as the scent is so lovely.

An all year around, more linear version of the This is Her by Zadig. Very creamy, soft... It smells like the person you want to hug. Doesn't project much, but involves you in a very smooth, sweet, creamy bubble. Very much worth it for the price and quality.

This smells a lot like This is Her, but it is less musky and warmer, I feel like I'm getting a little tobacco in this, but it is not listed. The only issue is the performance, this only lasts a couple hours versus the OG, which I get about 12 hours from.

This one was such a surprise to me. When i smell it on the paper, it's a harsh sandalwood, but on my skin it smells like a creamy, soft dream. So cozy & warm, very similar to Z&V this is her. I'll go back to it this autumn to try it again for sure.

My daily easy reach~ The name doesn't suit the scent, but the amber and sandalwood combination is amazing. It's comforting and safe and warm. Not too thick for hot days; light enough to wear out in a less girly ensemble. Love this~
