Gourmand Addict

I sprayed this on my wrist while in Zara, and went my merry way shopping for a few hours. It developed beautifully on my skin. I caught whiffs of the scent every few minutes. For an EDT, the longevity is not bad at all. The sillage is not offensive, I think it's very suitable for intimate encounters. Very feminine scent that's not overly floral. I'm very pleased with Zara's offering in the fragrance department. Gourmand Addict reminded me so much of Paco Rabanne's Pure XS for Her, but the scent was dead-on YSL's Black Opium! I did a side-by-side comparison of Gourmand Addict with Pure XS and Black Opium in Sephora - the likeness of the three blew me away! I compared Gourmand Addict to Zara's Gardenia EDP, and I found that they smelled sooo similar especially when they were drying down. I don't believe they only put peach, cassis, and patchouli in this. I could smell the yummy vanilla. Then again, they were not wrong for not fully disclosing the notes of Gourmand Addict, many perfume houses had done the same. Gourmand Addict is a 2019 release so I don't know if Zara is trying to phase out Gardenia, but I asked one of the sales assistants if Gourmand Addict was in their permanent collection. They said yes! I liked the scent so much I bought backup bottles of it because Zara's fragrances are only available at selected stores in where I live, and I couldn't purchase it directly from Zara's online store since they just don't make that an option for God-knows-why. It lasted about four to five hours, and arm's-length sillage so don't overspray it! Anywho, Gourmand Addict is going into my perfume wardrobe. I hope it will never be discontinued!

It’s a love at the first sniff !! I was blown away by how this perfume smell, sooo deliciouss!! This kinda remind me of the drink called sarsaparilla which i loved to drink when i was young so haha it kinda brought back memories.. Actually i went to zara that time specifically just to try out their fragrances as they were recommended by youtuber Demi Rawling.. so i went there and try out almost all their female fragrances and few of their male fragrances.. They were all beautiful and likable i would say.. but this one.... ummmm.. this one is soo special,, like stand out over all other fragrances.. Beside the Gourmand Addict, I personally like Pink Flambe, Rich warm addictive, Nude Bouquet, and Light Bloom. Moreover, this fragrance is so affordable compared to other designer fragrances.. so definitely need to check this out!

so random how zara gourmand addict is one of my most highly complimented zara fragrances. this one seems to be overlooked but it has become such a favorite of mine. i can't really describe in details what this smells like. to me it's a fruity yet rich type of fragrance and i love this in the fall and winter. i can smell the notes of peach and benzoin the most. this is an easy reach for me when i don't know what perfume to wear but i know that i just want to smell good. for a zara fragrance, this lasts a long time as well! will definitely repurchase once i'm out, but won't be too sad if it gets discontinued and i don't have a backup. it's that type of fragrance to me, can't really describe the relationship i have with this fragrance 🤣

I actually really like this! A fun summer appropriate, date kinda scent. Like a day-date instead of date night. Two men complimented me when I wore this scent (one did so repeatedly) so I'll take that as a win. A few reviews on YouTube described this scent as a peach champagne and I think that is really accurate! There is a certain effervescence about this scent. That description was what prompted me to purchase the perfume and I'm glad I did. I am quite sensitive to fragrances and unfortunately this gives me a headache. However, most scents seem to do that for me and I'm happy to tolerate that for the sake of smelling nice, lol

Floral peach to my nose. I don't get the patchouli until the dry down ...such a pretty scent I really like it a lot. On my skin shockingly, it lasted all day. I think I will layer this with a peach scented cream for a bit more sweetness that I would enjoy. Zara fragrances are a wonderful way to expand my fragrance collection for very little money!

The bottle that I have is the most recent one with the white top and more rounded bottle. Zara has a few more notes listed on their website. Nonetheless, I've decided that I will show more love to Gourmand Addict throughout the rest of the year. I will no longer treat her like a neglected leftover.

Tried this on in store and I fell in love with it! The opening is fruity like peaches and has a subtle soapy note that cools down the gourmand-ness. It mellows out to smelling like toasty vanilla marshmallow. I adore this and I feel like it could be a great scent to transition from day to night.

One of the best out of best zara perfume ...for me it's peachy chocolaty scent ..it has peach at the top n thn little bit chocolate comes with it .. smells delicious not in gourmand way bt in a brighter sexy fruity way

I wore this perfume for 2 days in a row and I got a lot of compliments. Someone said I smell like honey and it made me so happy. I just wished it lasts long . I would give it an 8 out of 10

Great everyday scent! Reminds me of Si G.A. Not a fan of gourmand, however this isn’t a sickly gourmand has a lovely dry down

I'm not a fan of patchouli, so I expected to dislike Gourmand Addict. The notes in this frag are well-balanced-- I wore it every day for about a week and a half when I first bought it. It's great for colder months because it's sweet, creamy, warm, and cozy. While longevity is not great, I strongly recommend using a light hand because it has the capacity to overwhelm given its sweet nature. A light hand works so much better and leaves a cleaner, creamier scent that won't offend those sensitive to perfume. I detect some similarities with Black Opium, but this is of course a much tamer product as compared to monstrous Opium, which is also far more impressive and developed in performance. I see some similarities with Rihanna's Reb'l Fleur as well. I love this for everyday use, running errands, or just hanging out at home. I prefer to use it during the day and in colder months. Since I already have Opium, Reb'l, Si, and LVB which are kinda in the same family, I won't repurchase it.

It smells like a strong delicious sweet fruit tea. Sweet but not overly sweet. It's dirt cheap so I always shower myself in it. I detect more fruits than only peach, maybe pear? This is a great every day not too serious type of scent. Not for the powerful business women trying to make an impact on someone, but for anyone who wants to smell nice and delicous. Great for spring/summer, running errands, gym and easy-grab fresh out of the shower. Not very long lasting though. Great to be layered with other fragrances since it's not complex with only 3 notes. I add this whenever I want to add a touch of sweet playful fruityness to my other perfumes. I smell vanilla in here as well which is not listed. For being Zara I have to say it's great for the price. I got the 180 ml bottle for 17$. A really simple nice cheapie.

Fruit salad, one of those fruit salads in syrup and cherries that come inside an aluminum can. I feel the peach but also a bit of pear and pineapple, this is definitively a sweet fruity scent. I wouldn’t mark this as “elegant”, it’s more like a fun, young scent. After the fruit, I feel a note of milk chocolate (?) or some sort of creamy note is coming through. The patchouli will come through afterwards, as a base note, to make this perfume a bit “more serious” and deep. Because of the mainly fruity nature of the perfume, I think it’s a Spring or Summer scent that will succeed on a younger wearer (or, it will make you feel younger!).

My favourite perfume to date, and I have much more popular fragrances like La Vie Est Belle and Angel Iced Star. This fragrance is so sexy, very heady, very creamy and warm, intoxicating in the same way that Olympea, Rihanna's Rebl Fluer or Black Opium is without smelling like any of those. I personally think its very sophisticated and sensual because its so strong, musky and peachy sweet at the same time. It's the perfect balance of peach and patchouli. Lasts hours on the skin and is very strong. My boyfriend goes crazy for it and doesn't stop smelling me when I have it on. Such a bargain for the lasting power and scent!!

Again, I blind purchased this one based on review and after reading the notes in here. I came here to check on the notes and review before buying. Yes I like it! I like the peachy in the opening and it doesn't cause me headache. It's a fun and outgoing perfume that I will wear at day or night time. Performance and projection is 7/10. It does last 4-5 hours on my skin and I don't mind to reapply coz I always do that :) Not one of my Zara's favourite, but it is still acceptable. Love!

Very fruity at first, like a peach puree or something delicious. But it’s not only just fruity, it has some nice depth in it. Dry-down is less fruity than the first whiff. To me it’s quite unique perfume, I don’t really see similarities with any other perfume. Nice atomizer, nice bottle, but cap feels cheap (which it probably is :) ). Sadly it doesn’t last on me very long, but I guess it’s worth the price. But I know some perfumes from Zara (like red temptation) last a lot longer.

This has a delicious jammy opening, somewhere between peach and summer fruits, which hangs around for a few hours before a strong patchouli note shows itself and takes over (the best part). This is very close to Paco Rabanne Pure XS and also puts me in mind of Flowerbomb, though the latter has a sweeter opening. It has reasonable projection and lasts at least 6h or so on me. I really like this, and for a £20 perfume it is a pretty good dupe for XS.

after a few more sprays, I actually really don't like this fragrance. Smells like a cheap peach on the opening, and the dry down actually gets more "gourmand" (the patchouli comes out) but it's spoiled by a very plasticky kind of smell which I hate. I haven't seen this review anywhere else though so i may just have a spoiled bottle; but I'm probably not finna use this.

Opens very fruity and sweet, as time pases it becomes more woody and spicy. I can see how some people compare it to Black Opium, similar vibes. For me it feels way too heavy and kinda cloying to wear during hot weather, I'd recommend it for autumn or colder months. I have a sample size and doubt I'll get the full size, it's alright but pretty generic.

very sweet. citrus-ish notes and candied florals. the patchouli in this is very sweet and almost gourmand-ish as it combines with the peach to create this vanilla/toasted marshmallow smell with a greenish/smoky edge. if you don't like patchouli, you might still like this. candy, creamy peach vanilla smell mixed with subtle green smoky earthiness.

Fruity but all grown up. The patchouli is the type that smells sweet and fresh (as opposed to dirty that some patchouli can come across as). Fresh and warm all at once. Great for all seasons. My only caveat is that (as with many from zara) performance is short lived.

A very simple, sweet perfume. I find the names of zara perfumes slightly misleading & this one is. I thought it would be heavy gourmand - chocolate, cake - all those yummy things but its a very light peachy, powder perfume. Perfect for everday & an easy wear.

An ok dupe for pure xs...same popcorn smell with vanilla and salt but there is an zara undertone smell which spoils it for me...better pay more and buy the original Rabanne with 100x better longevity and projection and clean smell. Nice try zara!😁

I don’t understand why people are saying that this is similar to black opium or pure xs,because it’s not similar at all.I have all three and it is not similar :D

This review is for the new formulation with the white cap and rounded bottle. Sweet, bright, and warm in a well balanced way. Nice everyday scent for work or running errands. As has been mentioned previously, the staying power is utterly non-existent. I have never met a supposed edp that literally disappears. I don’t know how it dries down, because is dries down to nothing. I work with ppl who are very sensitive to scents, but wearing fragrance is a ritual for me. I don’t feel dressed without it. So if I spray this, by the time I finish getting ready and commute to work, it’s gone. Not a skin scent... gone without a trace. Works for me. I’m not getting heaviness with this scent, and feel that it’s a well balanced, year-round gourmand with the top notes shining in warm weather and the middle in cooler. With my chemistry, the benzoin plays more like a sheer soft musk there simply to ground the scent. I pull zero Vanilla or popcorn here. It smells similar to PR Olympea, but is noticeably different with juiciness as opposed to saltiness. I like this scent, but if it weren’t for work, I probably wouldn’t reach for it due to the vanishing act. I recommend keeping an atomizer in your purse for reapplying if you want this to last throughout your day, and be prepared to refresh at every single bathroom break.

The fragrance itself is fine, but it's certainly not unique or anything to write home about. The scent stays close to the skin for about half an hour and then it's gone. It would be redeemable if the scent lingered on clothing for longer than half an hour as well but it does not, even with generous spraying. Mediocre, generic, drugstore body spray quality and performance. Honestly not at all worth the $22.90 CAD when Zara has much better offerings for the same price. In terms of what it smells like, it's a slightly floral candy-like vanilla. Meh.

This smells pretty. Strong peach note. It reminds me very much of La Vie Est Belle by Lancôme. Lancôme’s has more depth and smells sweeter though. Longevity isn’t that great but it has a lot of projection

Pleasant but altogether forgettable. Definitely fruity, not sure if it's really PEACH, but fruity with a bit of patchouli for depth. Sillage and longevity are low.

Fruity, sweet, forgettable but YOU WILL smell good. I am passing this one to my Younger niece, it worn lovely on her.

for me this smels like pure xs..therefore i smells ylang -ylang even if its not listendened .

Far too strong of an apricot jam smell for me - it smells like a childish gourmand scent. I would prefer something more "feminine" and sophisticated even for casual or daytime wear; this is a yummy scent but not appropriate for me. I can see it being suitable for a young child. I will be giving away mine to a younger relative. W

I enjoyed the opening blast of peach and florals, however the patchouli emerges as it dries down and pretty much takes over, which I'm not a fan of. If you don't like patchouli, this is not for you.

Not my kind. I smell apricot jam in it mostly. I dont think its a true gourmand, its more a fruity vanilla perfume. But its a happy spirited one.

A guilty pleasure. Gourmand Addict is not what I thought it would be. This is a playful fragrance with distinctive peach notes in the opening. After some time the kind of blackcurrant I found in Red Vanilla starts to appear with a hint of somewhat nutty accord. A faint trail of vanilla can also be found afterward. One of many Zara frag options for teens who are into sickeningly sweet fruity fragrance. If you're in mid 20s and consider to wear this as your daily perfume, I suggest you not. I doubt anyone will take you seriously if you show up at a meeting smelling like this. But I guess I will reach out to this bottle every once in a while when I'm going to the mall. It smells good regardless!

I bought this recently after trying it in store; I was completely intoxicated by the beauty of the scent on my skin. After trying it, I had gone shopping and walked around for a while, before my decision to purchase. Its warm, feminine, sensual softness drew me in as time wore on and it developed, I loved it and had to return to Zara to buy a bottle. The delicious aroma makes me feel slightly different to some other fragrances I have - it is warm and glamorous! I don't identify any specific notes, but definitely a wonderful gourmand. All I can say is that for the price (£9.99) - it smells very expensive! I love it - hats off to ZARA for this beauty!

I bought this for my girlfriend a while ago and it's marvelous. Starts off with a fresh frutiy vibe and then dries down to a creamy, pleasant scent. She has 3 or 4 designer perfumes (Kenzo world, Acqua di Gioia, Givenchy L'Inderdit and one or two more) and she prefers this one. Good for office, good for a date. The name Gourmand makes you think it's a very sweet warm scent but it isn't, the name is misleading. The projection is really good for 1 hour or so and then creates a scent bubble around the girls for some hours. You can smell it very well. I think it's kind of a hidden gem.

Tried this in shop. I'm still not sure if I am referring to the same fragrance, since my (untrained) nose cannot detect the notes listed here. Neither peach, nor patchouli, only vanilla (which is not listed though) and other sweet-gourmand accords I cannot give a precise name. This isn't the most innovative scent, but it is rather pleasant, if you like this type of fragrances. The lasting power is good for the price point, moderate sillage (that again isn't bad for a low cost)

I don't get any popcorn smell like some people say. Pretty linear with the notes, but the peach can be smelled in all stages. You need to like peach to get this. However for me the sillage/longevity is poor unless I go nose blind to this quickly but I can't seem to smell it after 20 minutes. Weirdly on my skin this kind of reminds me of Armani My Way. Edit- nope. 7 sprays on body and clothes lasts like only an hour or 2 max.

It definitely doesn't feel gourmand. I got this in high school because it reminded me of black opium. I don't care much for black opium; I just wanted to be sensual. But this perfume definitely gets me compliments, and it wears nice on clothes. It's kind of a default scent of mine, not because I love it, but because I feel a deep loyalty to it.

Do you love fruits? Well, answer can be no or yes but for me I am not a fruit person but this scent made me fall for fruits as well. I do smell like juicy and fruity but not very sweet. This perfume can perform very well for daily wear fragrances' collection and its not heavy on pocket as well.

I'm not sure why commenters below are butthurt that this doesn't smell sophisticated, ir's a cheap zara perfume after all. I think it is decent, no trace of any apricot jam smell on me, I think this is great for the price. Maybe try the rollerball version before investing into the large size.

This is a fall scent. I smell a really sweet peach and with a little bit patchouli. I usually hate patchouli in fragrances, but it's done well in this fragrance. I am excited to wear this in the fall.

Love the top notes of this. Fresh, slightly citrusy and peachy. I was thinking 'this isn't gourmand, it's not even sweet'....then the sugary notes kick in and it's sickly sweet like Black Opium.

Maybe it's just me, but it smells like Dior LCP Belle De Jour that's a little less creamy and without the rose. But that's not a bad thing either!

This is a very sweet peachy scent, which I surprisingly really like. This is an everyday scent that won't offend anyone.

So unique and sooo good. I wish they still made this one I have been wanting to find something similar for a long time!
