Gracefully Madrid

Sooo..This perfume on me smells more than 12h, which is crazy... I have a lot of fragrances and tested a lot, even sweet perfumes don't last on me more than 6 hours with more than 8 sprays =)) I bought a travel size first and I was wtf, because I really loved the opening; then I took a shower and I used a bar of unscented soap.. like I was literally scrubbing my skin, and Gracefully Madrid was still there. Firstly I thought maybe I am in a great shape mentally and physically, because this thing it's pretty relatable for me; I know it's sounds weird, but If I'm stressed my perfume won't last and If I'm drinking alcohol or eating junk food or a lot of meat too. Gracefully Madrid is a freshie for sure, I don't think that this smells like cleaning products, okay maybe just a little but it's pretty natural for me, zesty and watery. Now I have a 40 ml bottle, next it's the 75 ml one. I also own the Elegantly Tokyo (9/10 smell, 8/10 lasting power), Vetiver Pamplemousse(1000/10 for smell, 4/10 lasting power) Salty Ocean Bouquet(7/10 smell, 6/10 lasting power) and Fashionably London(7/10 smell, 8.5/10 lasting power), all are created by Jo Malone, and only ET and FL last on me.

I bought Mrs. Meyers dish soap that had the geranium scent. It smelled so lovely and alive and fresh that I immediately looked for perfumes that had this note because I wanted to be drenched in this smell. Lo and behold Gracefully Madrid was on top of the list---and cheap too! Immediately ran to Zara and purchased a bottle, and yes!!! This is it! It opens with a sharp, tangy, juicy orange and immediately blooms into this rosy, spicy geranium. I want to live in a world that smells like this all the time. I spray it on my pillows and I sleep with a smile on my face. I spray this around the room and just sigh in contentment whenever I get whiffs of it. I just love this perfume so much. Thank you, Mrs Meyers! Thank you, Zara! Thank you, God, for creating oranges and geraniums!

Blind bought this and no regrets—absolutely love it. The opening gives a brief flash of orange peel, but it fades almost immediately. It doesn’t linger in citrus—it heads straight to the heart and base. Fresh and clean, but in a smooth, refined and elegant way. Not the usual bright or sharp kind of fresh. It’s linear (which I personally prefer), but still has depth. Nothing overly complex—just calm, elegant, and confident. Feels more suited for evening wear or special occasions. It also leans more feminine. Performance is decent—not a projection monster, but enough to enjoy. Even without a complicated structure, it’s still distinguishable and holds its own. For someone who prefers uncomplicated yet well defined scent, this was money well spent.

Gracefully Madrid exceeded my expectations. I smell a generally fresh and slightly sweet orange. There is something else there (is it a touch of water? is it a really nuanced smell of hairspray?) as if the tangy orange we smell was a bit of a reinterpretation, bordering on pleasantly reworked/recreated. This has a excellent lasting power for a citrus fragrance, in my opinion, and it has brought me some compliments, even from strangers in the street. I guess GM must suit me for some reason, and despite a neutral first impression, now I really love it.

The opening is a bouquet of mandrin with citrus notes. After about 20 minutes, the scent dries down into a very pleasant and fresh herbal note of scented geranium leaf. I also get hints of cilantro. If you are looking for a fresh herbal scent this could be for you. I think it is a great scent for those who like a complex citrus scent but aren't fans of patchouli. I purchased three fragrances from the Jo Malone line at Zara and this was one of them, along with Fashionably London and Jo's Rhubarb.
