Gracefully Madrid

Sooo..This perfume on me smells more than 12h, which is crazy... I have a lot of fragrances and tested a lot, even sweet perfumes don't last on me more than 6 hours with more than 8 sprays =)) I bought a travel size first and I was wtf, because I really loved the opening; then I took a shower and I used a bar of unscented soap.. like I was literally scrubbing my skin, and Gracefully Madrid was still there. Firstly I thought maybe I am in a great shape mentally and physically, because this thing it's pretty relatable for me; I know it's sounds weird, but If I'm stressed my perfume won't last and If I'm drinking alcohol or eating junk food or a lot of meat too. Gracefully Madrid is a freshie for sure, I don't think that this smells like cleaning products, okay maybe just a little but it's pretty natural for me, zesty and watery. Now I have a 40 ml bottle, next it's the 75 ml one. I also own the Elegantly Tokyo (9/10 smell, 8/10 lasting power), Vetiver Pamplemousse(1000/10 for smell, 4/10 lasting power) Salty Ocean Bouquet(7/10 smell, 6/10 lasting power) and Fashionably London(7/10 smell, 8.5/10 lasting power), all are created by Jo Malone, and only ET and FL last on me.

I bought Mrs. Meyers dish soap that had the geranium scent. It smelled so lovely and alive and fresh that I immediately looked for perfumes that had this note because I wanted to be drenched in this smell. Lo and behold Gracefully Madrid was on top of the list---and cheap too! Immediately ran to Zara and purchased a bottle, and yes!!! This is it! It opens with a sharp, tangy, juicy orange and immediately blooms into this rosy, spicy geranium. I want to live in a world that smells like this all the time. I spray it on my pillows and I sleep with a smile on my face. I spray this around the room and just sigh in contentment whenever I get whiffs of it. I just love this perfume so much. Thank you, Mrs Meyers! Thank you, Zara! Thank you, God, for creating oranges and geraniums!

Blind bought this and no regrets—absolutely love it. The opening gives a brief flash of orange peel, but it fades almost immediately. It doesn’t linger in citrus—it heads straight to the heart and base. Fresh and clean, but in a smooth, refined and elegant way. Not the usual bright or sharp kind of fresh. It’s linear (which I personally prefer), but still has depth. Nothing overly complex—just calm, elegant, and confident. Feels more suited for evening wear or special occasions. It also leans more feminine. Performance is decent—not a projection monster, but enough to enjoy. Even without a complicated structure, it’s still distinguishable and holds its own. For someone who prefers uncomplicated yet well defined scent, this was money well spent.

Gracefully Madrid exceeded my expectations. I smell a generally fresh and slightly sweet orange. There is something else there (is it a touch of water? is it a really nuanced smell of hairspray?) as if the tangy orange we smell was a bit of a reinterpretation, bordering on pleasantly reworked/recreated. This has a excellent lasting power for a citrus fragrance, in my opinion, and it has brought me some compliments, even from strangers in the street. I guess GM must suit me for some reason, and despite a neutral first impression, now I really love it.

The opening is a bouquet of mandrin with citrus notes. After about 20 minutes, the scent dries down into a very pleasant and fresh herbal note of scented geranium leaf. I also get hints of cilantro. If you are looking for a fresh herbal scent this could be for you. I think it is a great scent for those who like a complex citrus scent but aren't fans of patchouli. I purchased three fragrances from the Jo Malone line at Zara and this was one of them, along with Fashionably London and Jo's Rhubarb.

A simplistic yet beautiful scent, opens with a loud citrus note, but worth the wait on the dry down IMO, it blossoms into a beautiful, clean, fresh-out-of-the-shower sudsy floral note. Like your favorite body wash you’d wish you could smell all day but they just don’t last quite long enough. Jo Malone x Zara’s cleanest smelling perfume. I could bathe in this, I swear. It’s tranquil, safe, cozy, warm breeze-esque. Obsessed.

Amazingly beautiful fragrance, in a fresh, citrus and very enjoyable way! It’s a totally unisex frag and very much a dupe of MFK’s ‘Aqua Universalis’... Most of the Jo Malones from Zara have been absolutely fantastic, I love this entire ‘Zara Olfactive’ collection... Gotta get them all. After I went to test Aqua Universalis, I went back to Zara to buy 2 more bottles of ‘Gracefully Madrid’!!

This is my new favorite 😍 this smells 99% like MFK Aqua Celestia Forte to my nose. Fresh, aquatic, a bit minty, citrusy, yet with an amazing sillage and longevity compared to the scent profile and price. I almost bought ACF and I am so lucky I waited for a GM decant. I ordered a big bottle right away. It performs amazingly in winter as well!

It's really a perfect combo of orange/geranium and musk, the opening isn't overwhelmingly citrus or floral - but translates to aromatic. After about an hour of wear, the citrus orange pops up and smells a bit sharper. This is a cold scent, it does remind me of a clear ocean view; oranges and aquatic.

if you’re looking for a dupe for MFK Aqua Celestia/Aqua Celestia Cologne Forte; this might be it. It’s fresh, clean and watery. It has orange but since it’s tamed by the musk, it’s not as tart and zesty as other citrus fragrances

My Fav from the collection fresh clean citrus, transports me to a dream getaway with sun drenched streets full of orange and lemon trees by the ocean.... beautiful I need a huge bottle pronto!

Out of all Zara Jo Malone collabs this is my absolute favorite and no one even talked about it on a frag tube ...a truly love from the first sniff, immediately have ordered a largest bottle!!!

I tried this perfume on at the store in the mall. 20 minutes later I ran into a friend and she said "you smell amazing, what perfume is that?" It's great value and a great summer scent.

Spicy, citrusy and a bit sweet perfume. Few notes - Orange, geranium and musk, but together they make a great fragrance. It's refreshing and fun to wear.

I have a sample of MFK Aqua Universalis and this is a softer but exact version of it. Very similar notes and the price is perfect, love it!!

of all the olfactive series that I tried, this one made me fall in love. smells good citrus floral but I am still waiting for a good price

It smells much expensive than it is so I’m not an orange lover in perfume but this made me change my mind.

Love it! Layer it with Zara Creatively Shanghai for a better, more powerful citrus scent. 🍊🧡

This is like the first time you try Aperol Spritz... Not sure you if like it - but you order another straight away! 🤣 Juicy Juicy! Tart, sharp citrus followed by being hit in the face with a bunch of exotic flowers. Then it settles to an almost powdery sweetness. I like it. Plenty of bite but not sure I know yet what season it suits me best in. I feel it should be a really bright summer scent but it also has the crispness of winter sun. Not my favourite but it’s a pick me up. Like a shot of ice cold tequila after a long day at the office! If it were a colour it would be hot pink.

A zesty, juicy, citrus scent. To me this is primarily an orange fragrance; I get a bit of spicy geranium but the orange is really the star of the show. It's nice and refreshing, perfect for hot weather. To me this smells a lot like the first hour or two of Clinique Happy, when the citruses dominate and before the florals start to come through. Of course this isn't the most original or complex fragrance, but for a light, bright, summer citrus, you can't go wrong.

I was at Zara, queuing to pay for my purchase and the perfume rack was strategically placed near the queuing area. Spontaneously sprayed Madrid on my neck and my hair because I thought...hey, I miss Madrid. Few hours later, I smelt my hair, for someone who dislike citrusy scent, my gawdddd this is gorgeous!!! Too bad, I was already on my flight home where no Zara store available in my state 😒😒😒 Otherwise, I would definitely have bought a full bottle.

I was gifted this one by my aunt for Christmas. Although I normally associate citrus smells with summer, there's something about the fizziness in this that mixes so well with the cold crisp air. It's a pretty intimate smell, and the longevity is... just okay. Not the most interesting scent out there but it is pretty and has an elegant, clean feeling about it. I think it fits well on all ages.

I purchased the rollerball to try it out before investing in a bigger size. At first glide it’s pure orange and then dries down to an orange/soapy mix on me. It’s a simple, clean smell. Nothing complex about it. Very great for a fresh out of the shower feel. I think it’s a great, affordable option for anyone looking for a daily scent. Soft enough to use at work, the gym, anywhere really.

First spray was just orangy air freshener, truly horrible. That could be because i am not into citrus notes. Couple hours later it smelled allright. Good to wear everyday if you close your nose until it dries down. Edit: Started to love the dry down A LOT still not very fond of the opening notes.

I thought this was awful dish detergent in the (air conditioned) store but I walked out into the sweltering heat and it smelled great. It was still smelling great a few hours later. Went back to buy it.

Mellow and mature. Dried aged orange peel and I suppose I could buy that the flower is geranium over a subtle musk. Graceful is a kind synonym for boring--not the image of Madrid that I imagine.

Freshly peeled oranges. That's it nothing more. Quite nice for summer. I don't know if I want to smell like an orange but I liked spraying this in my bedroom during the summer.

One of the best citrusy-floral fragrance in my collection, and i have collection range from $20 to $400 😂 This one doesn't last that long, but for €22? Just reapply it

Gr8 mature yet watery orange... Very refreshing. I have it in body cream and I enjoy the smell and the texture very very much.

Very natural smelling, fresh out the shower vibe, feminine leaning. A relaxing summertime scent, typical Jo creation.

Such a photo realistic scent but very boring for me, if you're a collector this would be a nice addition

A clean citrus musk. Very fresh

Fresh mandarin & lemon, in the opening; but not soapy or unpleasant, & certain not bathroom cleaner type scent - this is lovely, & yes, it bears some resemblances to DKNY Woman EDP - at the beginning - but then the geranium comes through + there's a vague, lipstick kind of accord, not strong particularly, but definitely there, that probably prevents this from being completely "unisex" - wear whatever you like I think; my fiance has certain fumes marketed as female, but - it is helpful to (truly) know if something is masculinity ("not cotton candy" &/or sugared vanille is NOT masculine.. but see Montblanc "Presence D'une Femme" - which is woodsy, & cedar-y - & SO masculine, that no amount of layering with sweet vanille or more stop it smelling like boys perfume; me thinks it was designed for Abercrombie or similar & they got the samples mixed up.. So I mention this for all of the females over 26 who blind buy or are thinking of it - I am not "reinforcing gender stereotypes.. I promise.) I like this, but don't love it - all of these Zara x Jo Loves perfumes bar q couple are v good though - & 2 or 3 of them are amazing, my favourites so far are Waterlily Tea Dress (gorgeous, ) Vetiver Pamplemousse (the perfect white/cream linen shirt perfume, or gym perfume, ) so fresh & uplifting, & a whisper of vetiver over perfect, non-turning grapefruit (& that's no mean feat on a woman's skin - some go v wrong.) You could do worse than these Zara x Jo Loves collabs; I never seem to find "less expensive" perfumes that actually deliver; I can probably name 2, outside of these but am enjoying these v much - although the backups are crazy - bc Fragranticans constantly say Zara will discontinue these - a couple of drawers in my (cool) spare room are groaning with edp bottles & their relevant (v nice consistency & well scented) matching body lotion & body wash bottles. (I will say - the VP succeeds where "Jo's Rhubarb" completely fails I think - ouf, they messed up with the grey vetiver in there..Smells great when sprayed; almost immediately though - 2 minutes later, it smells like v fresh tea leaves..Mleven on fabric. More rhubarb less vetiver a la VP would hv been good; am returning 2 bottles bc I luckily had a tiny rollerblading given to me by a friend & thankfully tried that before opening; shame though, bc rhe rhubarb part is so nice - it just gets squished by the vetiver & the fresh, soft fruit accord is obliterated - & gives it a vague funk that makes it a no-no, for me - others might like but..) Myself, I prefer the spiced orange of Creatively Shanghai to Madrid, so far (very Christmas-y almost, too.) I think some reviews were done 5 minutes after spraying, reading on here; buts it's not completely DKNY Woman (& that one is far better than most citrus perfumes - but always the edp, the edt is just not as good.

Short version : smells like a freshly picked rose with weak performance. Long version : this starts off with blast of fresh mandarin the opening is nice, smooth and creamy with a light powdery touch like a nice lipstick . After a few minutes mandarin fades out and the scent turns herbal and soapy.i definitely pick up on iris and rose considering it has a lipsticky nuance and a CLEAR rose note to me. after an hour or two you are left with musk and the fragrance completely falls apart and the musk starts smelling metallic with a light ammonia tinge.you will need your hand glued to your nose thanks to the terrible performance. Overall an ok fresh floral musk, just don't expect miracles at this price point. 7/10

Beautiful fresh zesty oranges on the opening, but that dissapates quickly and it just smells like a pretty generic soapy scent. Clean, and pleasant enough for the summer, but I'm not a massive fan of soapy scents. I'll use up the rollerball I have, not least because the longevity is pretty poor so needs reapplying often.Tried layering with Creatively Shanghai as a commenter below recommended. That's actually pretty good. Brightens up CS which I find a bit too warm for a summer scent, and CS adds depth to GM. They work well together as they both have an orangey profile. Good shout TheOriginalDoll!

It opens with tart and fresh orange scent, a bit sharp and even synthetic. It reminds me of those chemical products with orange smell, such as toilet cleaning products. Shortly after I start getting this sweet rosy scent of geranium. It is green, fresh and aromatic, and goes very well with the sourness of orange. However, in general the perfume still smells quite sharp to my nose, and somehow gives me headache. The drydown is kinda boring, as the musk hardly gets any spotlight and the sharpness lingers. In general this perfume is disappointing, very generic, smells similar to cleaning products.

Smells like Belsize Beat hand lotion from Other Stories -update- On my wrist it smelled like Belsize Beat, one of my favorite lotions. I don't know what happened between the 1st time I tested it and now to make it smell like fresh clementines, all I have done differently was test it on clothes. This is not the 1st time this happens to me with a Zara fragrance, which is why I'm hesitant to buy immediately or hype.

Note: Tested from a rollerball. I have mixed feelings. Most of the time it smells like a synthetic cheap air freshener. This feeling is the strongest during hot days. But somehow, when the air conditioner cools down the room, I like GM more - the green spicy notes are more noticible. Still linear and synthetic though. Won't buy a full bottle.

This is an ok scent, but nothing to get excited about. I recently found The Orange Tree, from 4160 Tuesdays, and that is SOOOO much nicer, and a similar mood and composition, so I can't waste the skin real estate on G Madrid when I have a decant of the other scent to enjoy...

Opens with photorealistic orange- juicy and tart. I wish it stayed like this because it's beautiful. After a short while fades into a generic clean musky citrus scent. It also becomes unfortunately (for me) feminine after the short opening

Smells so much like Aqua Celestia Forte, which is my favorite citrus fragrance. It’s fantastic for the price, but does smell a bit sharp on the opening. Decent longevity, but nowhere near the MFK.

Gracefully Madrid has the most "Jo Malone" profile of the Zara Olfactive cities collection so far - a simple citrus cologne. However, it is utterly disappointing, and a far cry from her best work. While fresh, it is actually pretty harsh and thin. I like a good geranium note, but here it is barely-there, doing little to balance the harsh citrus. While it is refreshing, I have smelled many superior colognes to this one, some of which are also from Jo Malone for Zara. GM opens with tart, zesty orange, but it veers dangerously close to cleaning product territory as it is quite harsh and synthetic. As it develops, the geranium adds an aromatic green undertone, but overall the cleaning product aspect remains; the greenness of the geranium is along the lines of synthetic pine toilet cleaner. It is at its best as it dries down, with the musk softening the edges somewhat, but the harshness remains throughout. Sillage and longevity are moderate. A unisex, hot weather cologne, I expected this to be an easy like, but GM is a total disappointment. 1.5/5.

Gracefully Madrid opens strongly with citrus/orange and warm spices. I find the opening to be harsh and there's not much improvement in the drydown, to my nose. It's waaayyy too freshie, cleanser-like for me and I actually scrubbed it off. But if you enjoy scents such as Ralph Lauren Romance or Chloe EDP -- both read "bathroom cleanser, to my nose -- you may like this. Incidentally, it's the only perfume in Zara's Vibrant Cities collection that I don't like (my favorites are Elegantly Tokyo, Creatively Shanghai, and Magnificently Dubai).

Smells like Aqua Celestia and almost like DKNY Women. It's so lemony-rindy it's almost sterile. I don't like it. It's too fresh for me, wayyyy too much. I wanted to add that I tested this on one arm along side with DKNY Women and they are almost the same when compared with each other. Too astringent for my taste. It smells like a chilled glass of water with lemon slices in it, or maybe lime zest or lime rind.

Opens up with a nice orange peal, similar to TDH eau Fraiche. Quickly settled down to medicinal cream/soap.
