Hi - Lo Country Summer

Best money can buy in summer 2019. Night one

Zara Hi - Lo Country Summer is somewhere in between Ultra Male and Le Male Eau Fraiche. It isn't as sickenly sweet as Eau Fraiche but it has a lot of the qualities that Gourmand Leather did in relation to Ultra Male. That said, it an EDP that is a bit weaker. Hi - Lo Country Summer has the irisy sweetness of Gourmand Leather and other Zara scents of the like. To my nose, it smelt like a more gourmand Dior Homme Eau at first minus the spice. Then the sweetness really crept in. The iris and the candy like notes actually drown out the other notes Zara lists (the bergamot and the sandalwood.) Hi - Lo Country Summer is a summer scent. Now before anyone jumps on me, note it isn't a summer day scent at all. This is a summer night scent. I wore it tonight in Arizona at 95-100F temperatures outside and it didn't feel too much, but it was cooling off. Usewise, this is a date and summer party scent. I wouldn't wear it clubbing, as it is weaker on the side of an EDP. I get about four/five hours out of this. It projects good for about an hour. For an EDP, this is OK considering it is a summer scent, but I find it in the Rasasi Enteeba/Armaf Surf Pour Homme I have EDTs that last and project better (not even winter scents) category. Overall it is pretty good. I can understand it being too much for summer, but if you like sweet scents, this was good. It isn't available anymore, I got it for $19.99UDS before shipping, which was low considering it sold for $30USD. I rate Zara Hi - Lo Country Summer, a 7.3 out of 10. A nice take on the Gourmand Leather scent but falls with peformance and projection.

It’s a lighter, slightly less sweet version of the original hi-lo. -which is basically Zara’s version of JPG Ultra Male.

although the "summer" moniker is present in the name, I think the fragrance is still too sweet for summer/hot days even in this waterdown/fresh version. I'd use it in spring/fall or cool summer nights and then go with the original hi-lo country or its sibling (gourmand leather) for winter.

This is basically just a copy of original Hi-Lo Country, but with worse perfomance. I mean it's good, but I can't wear such sweet scent in summer, they just lowered the perfomance and didn't change the scent at all.
