Hypnotic Vanilla Cloud

This one is a love for me, even more then Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom! It's extremely well blended, refined and so, so good, it truly has a cloud effect! Long lasting too, more so on clothes. The opening is almost the same as Hypnotic Vanilla and Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom, so we have that Hypnotic Poison/Moncler Femme/Valentina Poudree dna impression, but much, much more etherial and fluffly. As it was for Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom, here we also have a strong flower component, in this case the delicate apricot blossom is much more present and well blended with the jasmine (treated in the same manner as in Hypnotic Poison, so a clean and round jasmine note, soaked in heliotrope) and at the edge of it the marshmellow, which doesn't smell gourmand or super sweet, adds that type of cushion-y, celestial vibe. The true novelty of this Cloud version is in the mid though. I don't pick up any type of osmanthus, but a strong bitter almond note. This is what puts this version a bit far away in the Hypnotic scale: instead of sweet, play doh-y and doll head heliotrope, we have in the middle a beautiful note of bitter almond, still very powdery but not so sweet, actually I would say that I almost capture a cyanide aspect in this almond (forget gourmamd, or nutty or classic almondy or plasticky heliotrope). At the base a strong vanillic presence makes way (more so then in HV and HVB) but the composition is kept light and etherial with lots of musk, and what I suspect to be cashmeran, so the result is creamy and clean, and powdery. This is a very etherial fragrance and it closes with a truly special touch: a sandalwood note which is extremely creamy and lactonic to the point of reminding me of the sandalwood in L'Artisan Le chant de camargue, or Kenzo Amour, and Zara's Driftwood Sandalwood or Nuit for a moment, I could swear a pinch of rice pudding was here just like in Zara Gleam of the Moon. All in all I can say that I really liked this new flanker, it has complexity; the Hypnotic dna is preserved, the musky component is strong to the point that the fragrance reminds me of Zara Merino Musk too, it smells very clean, lightly sweet and powdery, very sophisticate, light and airy. It has a subtlety which I think misses from the og Hypnotic Vanilla, and the base is more complete. Very long lasting, moderately projecting but offers a very pleasant sillage bubble. Full bottle worthy as it was for Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom. About the marshmellow note, I would say it is very similar to the one in Zara Barbie, but different then the one in Zara Rose Marshmellow Candy and Velvet Shadow, which had, shall we say a more "solid" and sweet marshmellow, while here it is fleeting and light, airy and cozy, and spongy!

Zara doesn't have lots of fragrances that are really top notch but these 3 are so worth having in your collection - this very particular Hypnotic Vanilla Cloud, Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom, and Violet Blossom (Not Intense!). Not sure which of those t I am obsessed with more.. definitely not with my buddy Rick whose calls i kept declining while writing all this. By the way, is it too embarrassing to admit that i bought 15 large bottles of the Cloud when heard that it was discontinued? And not a day goes by that I am not thinking what a smart move it was. Vanilla Cloud is wonderfully unique though yes it reminds Dior's HP but it smells like.. imagine being in Paris.... inside Chanel Fragrance and Beauty boutique that has a small area inside where some pretty French mademoiselle Charlotte is baking croissant for you.. so there is that combo smell there - luxe perfume, fresh pastry.. and Paris (aka love) of course..

I was not getting the hype at first, but this perfume is one of those where the dry down is where it’s at. It’s a musky, vanilla, sandalwood marshmallow dream. I layered it with Miimic 166 lotion, a YBM dupe, Walmart Better Frag. Coconut Marsh. body spray and S+F Cream sugar oil. It’s the following morning and I smell delicious. I own Hypnotic Vanilla, Hypnotic Vanilla Bloom and this and I must say if there’s any more flankers I will be on the hunt. Just wish I had a closer Zara. Don’t sleep on Zara’s vanillas or ambers.

I don’t generally like vanilla based scents but surprisingly I enjoyed this. During the Zara winter sales it was even on -30% discount. It’s just crazy how they can make such good fragrances with these lower retail prices. Totally reminds me of my childhood when mom was making butter cake and asked me to measure 2 teaspoons of gorgeously fragrant vanilla essence to add to the batter. Wow!! Now I’m curious how close this scent is to PDM’s Pegasus?!

Sprayed now in store, and have just ordered the big bottle today, it is beautiful! It smells exactly, and I mean exactly like Victoria's Secret Tease Creme Cloud, at least to my nose, but with less of the peppery note and more musk. I have the VS rollerball, and side by side they are almost identical. I am surprised no one has mentioned it yet, I am pretty sure that is exactly the perfume Zara were trying to "Dupe" with this one...

Fantastic. Great longevity, the marshmallow makes it way softer in comparison to the og and I am here for it. Gonna purchase tomorrow.

I've just got mine today and it reminds me off Phlur Vanilla skin but lighter, more airy.

The name is well-chosen for the character of the composition. Spatial, airy vanilla as if floating on a cloud. Fluffy, slightly custardy, but not too sweet and very unisex. The musk together with marshmallow give such lightness and as a result we have a vanilla without stickiness. I don't detect any specific flowers. There is a green accent, as if stems or leaves, but I feel it more clearly on the blotter than on the skin. Unfortunately, the longevity are poor. On paper the scent is intense, expressive and long-lasting. On my skin it becomes a mushy mess - it is delicate, close to the skin and quickly evaporates, maybe I'm just unlucky. The composition itself is quite ok, you may like it - light, vanilla unisex - but absolutely nothing special, and the poor longevity and projection intensify the impression of mediocrity. 6/10

This is an airy vanilla with musk and fluffy marshmallow accords. Hypnotic Vanilla Cloud really reminds me of Scarlet Poppy from Jo Malone mixed with the original Hypnotic Vanilla. It's a soft and very pleasant scent! Not as sweet as hypnotic vanilla. From what I heard Zara discontinued it....

would rate 3.5 - it's a cozy, comforting vanilla, but I do get whiffs of a play-doh note from time to time. i do love how airy it comes off at the onset but that dries down rather quickly.

It smells like the original with an added marshmallow note, even though one is not listed. If you like marshmallow scents you will love this. It sorta reminds me of SDJ 59.

Much better than previous HV. Ladies just buy it blindly.

This to me smells exactly like Lancôme hypnose.

smells NOTHING like what the notes suggest. really, i am surprised i thought my nose was broken or something. i do get that they were trying to make an airy vanilla, but instead of fluffy clouds, you get a cold salty vanilla. to me the note pyramid is like: top: gun powder middle: airy note base: vanilla, musk i get ZERO marshmallows. if you meant hypnotic poison but lighter & airier, ok i kinda see it. but they should have called this & the bloom one as Blooming Vanilla or Cloudy Vanilla because they could be stand-alone additional to their Vanilla Capsule (to my nose at least). i am also not getting any buttery scent, or something lactonic. it's not gourmand to me, it's more fresh. i don't see it being similar to lattafa's her confession at all. that said, maybe i'll let it macerate (though i don't really need to do this with my previous zara bottles) and i could use it as a layering spay to similar vanilla perfumes to make them airier. it's not a bad scent, just not what i was expecting.

I echo the previous review. The notes are not accurate. This smells at best like baby powder. The sillage is skin scent, barely noticeble. Very disappointing blind buy. Don't waste money with this. Anyone saying it's sweet, is a liar. I'll likely put this someplace and pull it out months later tbh just to see if it matures a bit

I like OG better. In Cloud, I think the marshmallow somehow comes off buttery, full-on lactonic cream, which is not my preferred profile. This is my first impression. And I want to let the perfume settle and see if changes later. Overall it is still nice, and many will enjoy it.

I don't find this anything like the hypnotic vanilla from last year. Someone mentioned babywipes ..I kind of get that...with caramel. No ambroxan at least. The recent amber and musk collections.were both better and last year's vanillas better.

I had such high hopes for this one but to me it has an almost inky note. It smells like baby wipes in a really unpleasant way. I get no marshmallow and it's a cold leaning vanilla that's almost stale.

How is NO-ONE talking about how this is an incredible dupe for Nishane's Hundred silent ways!!!! I couldn't believe it. It was sitting right there on the notes: Apricot Blossom, Osmanthus and Vanilla. Incredible. Performance is nowhere near Hundred Silent ways, but it's not fair to compare performance on a like-for-like basis, because HSW is an extrait AND costs literally 10 x more than Cloud. I can't get enough of what Zara's doing with their fragrances right now. Fragrance 10/10; longevity 6/10. That said, I think I went nose blind, as one of the teachers said I smelled incredible, when I went to pick up my daughter so there's definitely some sillage to it.

If anybody still remembers Barbie x Zara perfume craze and then the Forbidden Pink ( which was Barbie repacked ) well marshmallow in this resembles marshmallow note in Forbidden Pink. Personally I disliked all 3 previously named scents. To make comparison to wonderful scent of marshmallow in Velvet Shadow which is lovely, powdery and sweet in most delightful way, marshmallow note in this one is stuffy and has this slight aroma of fresh eggs in sponge cakes.

So much osmanthus energy. It's like it reminds me of osmanthus edt by L'Occitane to like a 50% extend though. Hypnotic vanilla cloud flanker has a more rounded feeling thanks to vanilla whereas osmanthus edt by L'Occitane is a lot more fruity and sharper. I'd get this one instead of the L'Occitane one cos it feels like it stays longer too and cheaper.

This is absolutely gorgeous for a Zara scent, it's like Lush Sex Bomb 💣 but better and in edp form. It's very calming and clean and cozy, like a classic perfume with just a hint of vanilla, this isn't sweet if your looking for sweet its more of a clean take.

The first smell of cigarettes is a big turn off for me - not my vibe. After that it settles to something sweet, but I still can smell the cigarettes.

Umm I don't smell mashmellow at all. It's just average scent. No for me.
