Majestic Green

IMPORTANT: if you buy this or any of Zara refillable bottles please adjust them tight to avoid leakage. Do this and there will be no problem! This one was a surprise, I was expecting something more green instead here we go with the sweet "coconut" feel again! The only greenness here is given by cardamom. I like the scent, I like all the collection and I think it's worth it, especially for the price (although the prices of those were also incremented from 22,95€ to 25,95€ in only two weeks from their launch). To describe it in few words I would say this is a spicy warm vanilla with a lactonic nuance and a solid woody creamy dry down. It's a round and comforting smell that makes me think of Autumn, a memory came back to me, made me remember of an old prestigious library in Bologna, where I used to read esoteric books, and the many spiced latte I drank in a bar near the place! Now, to go more in depth: in the opening we have a tad bit of aromatic and citrusy notes that quickly give space to black pepper; this black pepper is quite gentle and very well blended with vanilla and cardamom, which adds a touch of mentholated spicy freshness that you can smell all the way through to the heart of the perfume. The pepper doesn't overpower the others components, the two spices are equally important and the effect is elegant and unisex. In this mid stage vanilla makes his entry and you can really feel the fresh spices being hugged by it. It is not a overly sweet vanilla...although, at a certain point (when we are close to the start of the dry down), the vanilla starts to take fruity/coconutty connotations. It does not feel cheap (in that vanillina/body spray kinda of way) and the sweetness is moderate. I think the "coconutty" facet may be merit of the sandalwood....waiting to come out of the shadows. Infact, that is just what happens next in the dry down: the nutty spicy vanilla blends now quite organically in to true sandalwood and cedar. Another creamy woody dimension is added to the smell. There is a mild lactonic aspect to it, while the cedar is creamy yet a little dry at the same time. It doesn't seam to me that one wood prevails over the other (like happens in the dry down of Zara Evening Safari Drive), they go hand in hand here and, as I was saying before about the spice, the result is quite equilibrated and well adjusted. The spicyness never goes away but in the dry down there is a little twist about it since the spices leave their "freshness" behind for a very warm new identity. The spices you smell at this stage are so warm. The final closing, that part of the dry down that is just skin scent, lasts a while and it is ambery, warm and balsamic. Infact a little of that balsam smokiness is felt in all the mid stage, to be precise. This last part of the dry down has a sweet, powdery and balsamic feel to it (like a mix of flowers, heliotropin and benzoin); I can't understand if it is benzoin or opoponax that I smell, very beautiful... but it really is the fading stage. Another good one from Zara, unisex, last at least 5 hours, with dry down lingering much more. For the price you can not go wrong with it! My favorites from the collection still remain Magnificent Black and Regal White. EDIT: that "coconut", nutty impression is given by cardamom mixed with sandalwood (so not a fruity vanilla per se); those two togheter, specially in Zara perfumes, always give a "coconut" feel to the fragrances, at least that is how my nose reads it! As for comparisons, the spiciness of the dry down recalls a bit the mid stage of Zara Warm Black. I heard some reviewer compare it to Santal 33 and similar it's not an apt comparison, probably they made that thought based just on reading the notes, since they are two worlds apart, this is so much warm and vanillic. That final part of dry down, the balsamic accord, is similar to aspects of Chopard Casmir, Morris Batik or Tesori d'Oriente Mirra.

Majestic Green is part of four perfumes in the ZARA Fragrance Series N° 01 collection, a select line signed by leading master perfumers. And that’s what amazed me most at the first test, for its aroma is so unsettling compared to its name, everything but green. I would have expected a herbaceous slap in the face, full of leaves, bushes, and saps, but no. Fabrice Pellegrin gives us a disturbing dark vanilla served on a woody carpet wrapped in a super dose of spice and citrus. It is not particularly complex, yet its structures offer some delightful contrasts and exciting transitions. Majestic Green has an output mainly composed of bright citrus and mild spices. The first notes that expand in the air and reach my nostrils are the intense ones of black pepper with a tinge of waxy lemon, both the zest and juice. It almost looks like I’m slicing a ripe lemon sprinkled with freshly ground pepper. It’s creamy, buttery, and slightly sweet with intense tart lemon flavour—like a curd, a creamy lemon version of jam. If I smell it close, too close, my nose itches, and I feel like sneezing. But I can’t help but smell it. In the background, there is a balsamic and mentholated tone, that of green cardamom, so fresh, submissive, and not impertinent. The lemony facet blends perfectly with the spicy cardamom, and the cardamom’s aromatic aspect provides freshness to the whole composition. Once the initial spicy shimmer fades, the smokiness deepens considerably. The cedar adds a dryness without exacerbating the chip look, but the smokiness prevails. The composition maintains a delicate balance between sweetness and smokiness, with neither dominating. Frankincense is not explicitly mentioned; however, a pleasant-smelling incense lingers after some time and gives a hint of smoke. I want the incense note to be more pronounced. Slow, slow, now the vanilla extract slowly comes to life and emerges from the base. Until now, the vanilla was barely silent and didn’t show itself until the dry-down, which is gorgeous. It is a sweet and creamy bourbon vanilla, but spicy and not like that used in sweets and puddings. Hence, Mr. Pellegrin added super creamy sandalwood to the sweet, powdery vanilla as if that weren’t enough. At this point, the perfume took a completely different direction. The sharp tartness and initial spiciness have given way to an amber, powdery, enveloping sweetness. It has a slightly smoky and almost syrupy taste. The scent is subtle and sweet but not overly sweet. The creamy look of the woods mixes impeccably with vanilla, resulting in an exquisite suede feel. It’s satisfyingly vanillic and wealthy while still feeling light as a feather. The only drawback of Majestic Green is its longevity. I get about half a day on my skin and a little more on clothes. It is a fragrance suitable for the in-between seasons, assuming you live where four seasons occur. It is a little weak for winter but delicate for summer evenings and nights, where enormous potency with a fiery scent trail is irrelevant. Majestic Green was, and still is, an outstanding discovery. I'm basing my opinion on a bottle I have owned since March 2023.

UPDATE: Yes this is completely a Xerjoff Italica dupe. I tested it against Italica yesterday and there is 90-95% similarity. I actually like Majestic Green better though! Italica is just a little too sweet where it is almost nausea-inducing (cloyingly sweet). MG has cut that with some freshness which uplifts the fragrance. So basically everything I didn't enjoy about Italica has been changed to make this a 10/10 fragrance. And it doesn't smell like a "Zara" perfume. It's not like it doesn't smell as good, in terms of quality. It is niche quality. It's honestly a steal! And right now it's on sale - seriously go snatch it up if you want a better version of Italica... I wore it yesterday and the scent bubble is addictive. Also, just want to mention that I see people comparing this to Lira (not Italica) and I have to say they're wrong. I also have a sample of Lira and while Italica & Lira do have sooooome similarities to eachother - they are not the same at all. And MG most definitely is closer to Italica. I know it doesn't list almond or milk, but it must be the cardamom that is giving that vibe.

This is gorgeous. On first spray it’s such an intense, spicy lemon zest, somehow? I mean an almost foody, intensely literal experience of scraping through lemon rind, when you get the little dollops of lemon juice stuck on your skin, and maybe you’re standing next to an open spice cabinet. I love lemon, so this is definitely not a deal breaker for me! It was a pleasant surprise actually. Dries down to a beautiful earthy vanilla, warm and gritty cardamom, and a little bit of sweet sandalwood. Lasts much longer than anything else I’ve ever tried from Zara as well - I get whiffs of the spicy vanilla like eight hours after application. A wonderful and surprising choice if you’re into a dark, not overly sweet vanilla - and if you like a slightly tangy lemonpeel smell, even though I can’t find anything about a lemon note in this I swear it’s in there!

The opening notes of this perfume are divine , peppery with a smooth herbal undertone of cardamom and vanilla that are right there present too. The cedar comes through later on, mixed with the sandalwood which gives off a lovely creamy scent-bubble . It’s not a loud nor very projecting perfume , but very nice nonetheless Edit: 08/02/2024 : This is quite a strong perfume , especially the peppery opening, in the beginning. When I go out and take the tram, after having sprayed this on me before leaving the house, people are sneezing from the peppery opening note of this divine creation . It's longer lasting then in the beginning, I suppose the maceration is the cause and/or the colder temperatures I'm wearing it in now. 15/11/25: it’s still one of my favorites that Zara brought out in the last years . It really shines in colder/ wetter weather

This smells niche. Quality is great, especially for the price. And it is VERY similar to Xerjoff Italica. At first Majestic Green gives a blast of spices in the opening, but after about 5-10 minutes, the cardamom takes over (with some vanilla/sandalwood) and is smelling like an Italian pastry. I would say 85% similar to Xerjoff Italica as a whole. If just basing on the dry down period I would say closer to 90-95% similar. I will be stunned if nobody else picks this up. Overall it is a unisex fragrance, just as much as Italica lol... I imagine it will be great during cooler months, around the holidays. Lovely fragrance. Great value. Very happy I picked this up. Definitely won't be getting a full bottle of Italica because it would be very redundant in my collection.

This is actually amazing in the heat. I live in Jakarta, Indonesia where practically the weather is either raining or not raining. When the rain comes and the temperature slightly went down to 27 C or lower, i always sprayed this. The smell of the vanilla gives comfortable feeling, not sweet but like mixed with some woods and coconut. Delicious to smell and the lasting power is almost 8hrs, which is great in tropical weather standard, where most heavier scent will just be gone in 1hr. The wafts i’m getting is a soft one but very presence, and not offensive. This, Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes, Leather Jardin, and Elegantly Tokyo easily are the best perfumes ever released by Zara. Love them better even compared to many designer releases in the last 3 years.

I am incredibly impressed with the longevity of Majestic Green. It accompanied me throughout my day, maintaining its enchanting allure without ever becoming overwhelming. The sillage was perfect, leaving a subtle trail of elegance that garnered compliments from those around me. Majestic Green by Zara has managed to create a fragrance that goes beyond merely smelling pleasant. It embodies a unique and magical ability to evoke a sense of familiarity, comfort, and relaxation. I find myself drawn to it whenever I need a moment of tranquility or a reminder of the beauty of nature.

I don't know if this one is a clone or an original creation but it's a banger for sure! Smells much better than most of the newest designer releases. It's easy to wear without being boring. In the opening i definitely smell some citrus, lemon zest and juice. Lots of cardamom too. In the dry down it's all about the sandalwood and the vanilla. Really pleasing and easy to like. Definitely unisex. Medium performances. Great versatility. I'm really happy I've bought a bottle. Imperial Purple and Regal White are amazing too. Hopefully this collection will not be discontinued soon.

Testing Eau Duelle EDT on one arm and Majestic Green on the other, both by Fabrice Pellegrin: ED opens resinous and it’s vanilla is sheer, almost-boozy (not gourmand). MG opens with an aromatic spiciness and the vanilla is drier, held up by inky note and cardamom that keep it from being too sweet. ED develops and dries down to an almost vanilla-extract quality (still not gourmand) and MG is slightly sweeter, a comforting almond-vanilla. Both are soft skin scents on me by the sixth hour. They’re not the same-I have and love both.

Hidden gem in the recently released scents by Zara. While most became aware of this line because of the Angel's share and Imagination dupes, this scent is the real deal. A vanilla that is present during the whole lifespan of the scent but that lets the pepper take the center stage during the opening, however while it dries down the pepper takes a back seat and the vanilla is the protagonist vanilla. It's a beautiful and creamy vanilla which i can't get enough of, lovely lovely scent and a great signature scent imo.

(reviewing again after 1 year) thought, 'hmm interesting' and I put it away, as the top note cardamom was too off-putting. Discovered it again this fall as a grounding layer for the excessive dates & booziness of Khamrah--makes it wearable. Great cold masculine vanilla. The drydown is fantastic. Still has the worst atomizer in the world. [edit, may 2025] Every time I come back to this, it gets better and better. Reminder to self to get the oddball Zara flankers and let them sit for a year.

So Zara launched a new vanilla collection, stunning bottles. I'm already in love with 2 scents, Starlight Vanilla and Hypnotic Vanilla, they smell - to my nose, similar to Kayali Vanilla 28 and Scandal Le Parfum. One of the other vanillas, perhaps Supreme or Vibration leans green, and it reminded me immediately of this scent If you're looking for an alternative to Majestic Green, check these ones.

I've tried 3 months ago in Zara. Loved it Finally bought a bottle and now I'm trying to convince myself this is unisex, although I feel it leans masculine, I don't want to gift it to my husband 😭 I'm gonna wear it, to my nose this is sexy and sophisticated, the vanilla and the spices are so good, very 'French' Edit: there's got to be almond in here, I swear this feels slightly gourmand

This is incredible and well worth picking up if you see it. A hidden unisex gem hidden in the Zara perfume for 'men' section. Its a spicy, peppery vanilla with a freshness that reminds me of young coconut. This is multi faceted and through the day I get whiffs of black pepper and then waves of a coconut sunscreen. 9/10. Would be a 10 if it lasted longer.

Bloody hell this is good! Bought this whole range from Zara on sale for 50% of the price and I would say it’s under priced even as full price. This is absolutely delicious smell. I can’t quite pin point it, it’s like grassy vanilla scent, somewhat woody and herbal. Absolute treat from Zara. I’m very impressed by this range.

My #2 perfume. The best fragrance created by Fabrice Pellegrin for Zara. The perfect combination of black vanilla, cardamom and sandalwood. Absolutely unique. It's a sweet, winter scent, of course, but it can also be used in the cool evenings of summer, and is compatible with all four seasons. My score is 9.68/10

The greeness disappears after few minutes, leaves you with cozy creamy sandalwood with vanilla and cinnamon. Very sensual scent, a bit too sensual for my taste. I don’t find resemblance with Eau Duelle which is vanilla dominated, this one is indeed sandalwood bomb. Reminds me of Casmir by Chopard.

Bloody gorgeous. Moderate sillage, long lasting (about 10 hours on my dry skin), excellent value, absolutely unisex (NB I am 60, so consider Opium, Tabu, Obsession, Youth Dew feminine - so be aware). I can't suggest similarities to anything in my collection. Just buy it.

This is a creamy almond-vanilla scent with a lactonic feel to it. Majestic Green is basically Prada Luna Rossa Black (50% similarity especially in the first hour) without that rubber note, amazing scent by Zara! It's perfect for layering by the way. 8,5/10

One of those unique scents from the brand. Very nice Vanilla + iso e at the open. dries to a spicy peppery base. It's very fascinating to me because it's rare to find pepper as a base. It's very well done. Could sell for $400 in a Roja bottle.

In the middle to the dry down ,it reminds me of BDK Gris Charnel Extrait . I used up a bottle of BDK long ago so cant really confirm right now but i think there are similarities.

The love child of Eau Duelle and Green Lover. Creamy, sandalwoody vanilla, slightly sweet and medicinal. It is full of plesant spicies. Versatile and comforting. I love it.

There's neither anything majestic nor particularly green about this. A tad sweet, creamy, and woody with a hint of green. I find it quite nice, but performance is abysmal.

My goodness, this is absolutely banging!!!!!. Zara have outdone themselves with this one. Might even top my all time fave from them which was Rich warm addictive🤔🤔😉👍🏿

Cardamom, Lactonic/Creamy, Sweet. This is in the same vein as Gris Charnel Extrait with less powder and without fig. Beautiful.

Zara Majestic Green could be an unisex fragrance, it starts with a masculine vibe then turns into a sweet-feminine scent. It's pretty much an inspiration by Diptyque Eau Duelle, but less cloying and easier to wear. Majestic Green first sniff on my skin is fresh spicy from cardamom, pepper and some powdery of wood. However it does a good job presents the green-spicy feeling of the spring's air for the first 10-15 minutes. As the fragrance dries down, the sweeter it gets on my skin. The sweetness of vanilla is similar to Diptyque Eau Duelle but only about 80%. It's not cloying, not too powdery, just as right to my nose. It also combines the creamy feeling of sandalwood to the slight spiciness of cardamom. I did not expect much from this fragrance, but I think it is a good choice for winter and early spring. With moderate projection for 1 to 2 hours, the fragrance becomes skin scent and slowly disappears after 6 hours. The weak projection after 2 hours is the main reason why the vanilla note is not too powerful or cloying. Majestic Green can have better perfomance during colder day of Spring or Winter. It was a great blindbuy to me but I'm not suggest to do the same thing, because I know what I can expect from looking at the notes. 7/10

Majestic Green opens with a warm, creamy marshmallow-like vanilla—soft, smooth, and comforting rather than sugary. It has that slightly fluffy, rounded sweetness that feels cozy and elegant at the same time, not edible or juvenile. Spicy cardamom quickly folds into the composition, adding warmth and a subtle aromatic sharpness. As the scent develops, a green freshness emerges—think green cardamom with a hint of eucalyptus-like coolness. This contrast between creamy sweetness and cool green spice is what gives the fragrance its character and keeps it from becoming flat. The overall profile is unisex. The marshmallow-vanilla warmth may lean slightly sweet, but it never crosses into overtly feminine territory. Woods and spice anchor it well, making it wearable and balanced on anyone. Longevity is very good for Zara, lasting several hours with a smooth, consistent presence rather than loud projection. It does loosely recall Zara Evening Safari Drive, but the vanilla base is richer and more enveloping, giving it a more refined, cozy feel. Overall: a warm, marshmallow-soft vanilla wrapped in spice and green freshness. Comforting, modern, and one of the more interesting and mature Zara releases

Why almond isn't listed as a note is beyond me. Clearly in the same vein as PdM's Pegasus and Xerjoff's Italica. It's actually a very simple blend. 80% almond, 10% powdery vanilla and 10% aromatic dusty spice. Starts with a lovely pop of lemon juice too; but if you don't like almond in your fragrances, this is absolutely not for you. I much prefer it over the above mentioned perfumes though. It's not as sweet and the balance is just better with that zing from the cardamom. But that creamy almond lotion thing is constantly there, making it a superb base for layering. Could easily be mistakened as a fem body cream or lotion. And definitely not green. More like eggshell white with flecks of yellow. Gourmandish at a distance too. But I like it! I'm usually not one for straight-up almond scents, but this will work well with some of the others from my collection, including many other sweeties from Zara. Picked it up during their seasonal clearout along with Imperiale Purple (a sweet and aromatic iris), so it was a steal; but at full price, I might've passed. Already thinking about layering it with a coffee scent. Mmmmmmmmmm Scent - 7.5/10 Longevity - 7/10 Projection - 7/10 Overall - 7.5/10

I totally get the name! To my nose this is majestic AND green! Was about to pick up Regal White on initial observation but turns out that one is a little bit too dry for my liking (no matter how prominent the coconut water notes is, which is unique on it's own). Also a sucker for anything i perceive as "green" myself lol. The greenness comes from the combination of spices that falls like something sacred. Felt like a magical concoction if the vanilla isn't there. The vanilla makes this an appealing scent since it tones down the herbiness. Reviews keep mentioning vanilla but my experience with this frag is the vanilla felt more like a pillow cushioning any other notes in the formulation. The vanilla act more as as a balancer to the spicy-herby smells rather than being the main player as long as this fragrance performs. Quite a versatile scent as long as the temperature isn't scorching. Above average longetivity with soft projection.

This is such a unique scent and bordering on niche quality. I'm honestly not sure if I like it, but I can't stop sniffing the back of my hand, at least in part because I'm still trying to figure out what it reminds me of. The thing that keeps coming to mind is the inside of a hot sauna. That mildly sweet, smokey aroma you get in a wood sauna (but it's not an overly smokey scent). It's not identical, but in my opinion it's very close. I only get a slight bit of greenness in the drydown, and it doesn't come off as majestic, so as others have mentioned, the name is not exactly fitting. This could fit in a size of any collection; I've owned hundreds of bottles and have never smelled anything that's even like 30% close. Great, interesting release from Zara. I just think it might be too weird for my taste.

Probably one of the best men's offerings from Zara, versatile and not as linear as their other warm spicy scents, I know everyone has a different experience with their fragrances but on me the spicier, green notes of cardamom really come trough, creamy vanilla notes round out the woody and spicy tones. The sandalwood is not as prominent initially but do come trough a bit more after it's been sat on the skin for a few minutes, defo not blind buy worthy unless you live a green spice vanilla. I love this new elevated line and the rest of the collection is also very nice. I would urge people to try it.

An amazing, powdery-coconut scent that is held back by poor performance and subtle projection. If you're looking for a scent to snuggle with a warm blanket and stay in on a cold day while reading a book, this is it. Extremely comfy vibes, natural toasted coconut with black vanilla accords. Whoever can turn this DNA into a fragrance that actually performs should win a nobel prize

Just tried it on my arm in Zara. It smells a bit too strong at first, and it is indeed a nutty fragrance. I smell a lot of vanilla and some lactonic-nutty notes. As others said aint nothing green about it. I tried some others and it does stand out, but its gery sweet. After 30min on my arm it smells like a nice rich body lotion. It is not for hot weather for sure.

The first 30 minutes smell to me like freshly crushed cilantro and freshly baked flour tortilla. It's a vivid olfactory image of making your own taco from scratch. Eventually it dries down to an aromatic herbal vanilla. Pretty unique IMO and well worth the Zara price. I am a huge fan of AC Vanille Insensee and Majestic Green smells nothing like it.

I changed my mind entirely on this one. At first, I thought it was a little too cologne-y. but I really didn't let it sit, now it's an extremely light vanilla that you can get small whiffs of but is mainly comprised of slight woodsy notes that all smell extremely clean.

A great “inspired by” Eau Duelle 🔥

My first Zara fragrance and color me impressed! This is a spicy vanilla similar in vibe with Ani but I prefer this waaay better. Loved the opening of Ani but dry down was too herbally. Majestic Green however is heavy on the black pepper with only slight hints of cardamom. It is a sweet and smooth peppery vanilla basically. Fabrice Pellegrin did a great job on this one. It is light wearing and performance is not great (2-3 hrs arm length projection). But for $40 thats quite good. No complaints.

Smells greasy, like old expired vegetable oil and powdery almond/vanilla. Nothing at all green about it, maybe it was supposed to be Majestic Grease but they made a misprint.

The very first spray was like "Whoa, you're strong!" Now I can barely smell it on me after few minutes. Which is a pity because it's a nice scent...

opening smells like celery- like really really strong celery :( in the dry down it becomes more vanillic and woody but kinda disappointed tbh

Tried the whole line today and I'm here with the first impressions. The whole line has great bottles that feel solid and have a very good sprayer, the best sprayer I have seen from Zara. It sprays evenly and makes a good mist. Way above what Zara usually puts on their fragrances. Majestic Green is a sweet and very smooth scent. The vanilla is the dominant note here but it's not a boozy vanilla of Tobacco Vanille nor is it a hyper-fresh vanilla of Eros. Here the vanilla is a bit spicy and slightly floral. I like it, it's sweet but it doesn't feel heavy so I can imagine this one would be really easy to wear even during the day. When smelled up close it slightly reminds me of a creamy shampoo which is a shame but it smells really good (and not shampoo-like) in the air. Of the 4 scents this one is the most pleasant I'd say. There is some pepper in the opening and some slight woods in the background but vanilla plays the main role. Totally unisex. I don't agree with any of the votes here. Zara Warm Black has way more tobacco than Majestic Green and goes in a different direction, even though they both share the general idea of vanilla+spicy. Eau Duelle I have only smelled a couple of times but I can't detect any rose in Majestic Green so those are also something very different to me. Spicebomb Extreme again, is a generally similar idea of combining spiciness and vanilla but done completely differently a it doesn't smell anything like Majestic Green. I wish I could find a fragrance this one reminds me of but I can't. Overall I think I like Majestic Green the most out of the 4 from this line. It feels wearable yet unique and also high quality. This one also surprised me with the performance. I sprayed a bunch of sprays on one wrist and I kept smelling it when walking outside on a freezing -4°C day, which would be a for any fragrance. If you were to try just one fragrance from the line, make it this one (or maybe Regal White for the sheer surprise, see my other review).

Why is this discontinued? Thank god I bought a backup at a discount when they still had it. But Fragrantica’s notes aside, here’s what I actually smell, I smell Coconut, I smell sweet Pistachios, I smell Sandalwood and a little bit of Iris. And It smells so so good. A woody, Syrupy sweet scent in an elegant way A little balsamic without cloying. Of course it was made by Fabrice Pellegrin The guys who created one of my favorite fragrances of all times “Sunshine for men” by Amouage. And if you’ve ever owned that one then you can probably tell it was made by the same person. They don’t smell exactly the same but they’re like distant cousins. Perfect for all seasons day and night. Not a great performance but very detectable. Kinda unisex but definitely leans more male. Quick story, I was at a daytime wedding wearing my best suit and this fragrance. And I got so many compliments. My friends and family know I own a lot of fragrances. So they thought this was a niche expensive one. Little did they know it was the cheapest one I had in my collection. But it’s so inoffensive that I could wear it anywhere anytime including the office. Maybe not the gym tho. The opening is slightly green but almost in a citrusy lime kind of way. I suppose that is the cardamom mixed with that cedar. The beginning of this fragrance is bordering on fresh spicy flitting around from aromatic to citrus to woods, and spicy but in the most mild way. My mind is trying to grasp it, “Is it cilantro? Lime? Cedar?” Who cares it smells good. Then the best part of this fragrance comes out: the dry down. Thick, rich, creamy, dark vanilla bean and sandalwood. This is not a light fragrance it’s thick and heavy. It’s slightly dusty rich lending a kind of powdered modestly sweet doughy confection. It’s got a hint of nuttiness but not quite like almond almost like cashew butter or some kind of sweet (but only slightly sweet) dessert batter but it’s still remains aromatic and finishes like French perfumery powder. This is the creamiest sandalwood/vanilla in my collection. It reminds me of bits and pieces of : Lira, Eau Duelle, Rehab, maybe a pinch of This Is Her, Spicebomb, Milk, like the style, powder, & vanilla (but not as dark) of Velvet Tonka. This is so good. It’s so smooth and creamy. If you like vanilla and sandalwood buy this! Totally unisex anyone can wear this.

Can't make up my mind about this. Every time I spray it I think 'why do I still have it? I have to sell it!' and then when the top notes fade away I remember why and want to wear it every day. The top notes are straightforward greenish lemon zest, very masculine, bold, too strong for my taste, too naturalistic, I can't feel anything but in-your-face lemon. Also the cardamom that I don't really like not bringing a lot of enthusiasm to me. It's not bad, it's just totally not my thing. But after an hour it becomes the most sophisticated vanilla scent. It's is creamy, yet not too gourmand. It is greenish, yet not harsh. It is deep, yet not heavy. It resembles the scent of a good italian artisanal vanilla gelato, made of real cream and real vanilla sticks. It would be my favourite vanilla, if not for the lemony beginning. I still sense the cardamom, but it is very weak, just a touch of saltiness playing a role in the icecreamish feel. I love it, it is very good. More so if you don't mind strong lemon.

Just tried Majestic Green at store and it’s Zara’s take on a spicy vanilla scent. I sprayed on a strip and it starts very green almost reminds of fall when leaves are starting to turn yellow. While I was running errands I forgot it was in my pocket, later I gave it another sniff and it transformed into a vanilla bomb to a point that it became a bit cloying. It’s a spicy woody kinda Vanilla very reminiscent of fall/winter time candles. Few hours later I gave it another sniff and vanilla toned down a bit but the greenness of the opening was back ever so slightly rather in a more vegetal almost celery-like smell. Do I like it? It’s interesting and doesn’t appear to be direct copy of any fragrance on the market but the fact that it reminds me of the generic vanilla+spice candles makes me not gravitate towards it. P.s. I really like that they put the perfumer’s name on this line.

Interesting scent - definitely a very unisex vanilla. It's not powdery/sugary at all, it's more of a doughy, almost kind of cold, dark, rich vanilla extract on the drydown. When it's first sprayed it smells more like a mens cologne with a little bit of vanilla - heavier on the woods and spices (when I first sprayed it I was thinking i'd end up gifting it to one of my brothers instead of keep it). But the spices dissipate quickly and it melts into that rich, dark vanilla that stays on the skin for a LONG time - I feel like this would be so perfect if layered with another rich vanilla fragrance (my go-to is Commodity Gold) once it's been given 30-40 mins to get to the dry-down. I sprayed this on my hand and once the top notes wore off, I could not stop smelling it all evening, super worth it especially with the price point (and I will NOT be gifting it to my brothers...haha).

Tried this today in a Zara store; while there are no floral notes listed; I do get some Jasmine when smelt up close. It's really a green slightly spicy woody scent, with some green and white florals in the background; I don't get a ton of vanilla in the mid or in the first 15 minytes, and it isnt too heavy on the woods. It does smell great to be frank; but I found it to be weak; sprayed it 4 times on my wollen jacket and my pullover, and It was quite weak in 15 minutes. It gets sweeter once it dries down and that's when I get the pepper, cardamom and vanilla, but again it's very subtle and not intense. I think this would be a great office scent for spring, fall and winter; could also work for dates, dinner and intimate setting. I picked up Regal White from this line instead and planning to pick up Magnificent Black!

Cardamom atop sugared vanilla- turn down the resin and woods in Eau Duelle EDT, turn up the sweetness and spice. It’s comforting, creamy, like-able but intriguing. There’s something medicinal but more in the “foraging for herbs” way rather than the “cough syrup” way. This has poor performance for me unfortunately- even with severe over spraying I only get a couple of hours of wear and weak projection. I actually prefer the smell to Eau Duelle, but because of the performance issues I will stick to repurchasing that instead of seeking out old bottles of this on Mercari. That being said, I would be thrilled if Zara brought this one back into stores... :3
