ZARA has given this perfume this name. Opulent means are rich in appearance, showing great wealth, abundance, and luxury. And here, we find the root of the iris flower abundant. If you don’t know what a powdery note is, guys, smell this fragrance, and the first thing that comes to your mind is “powdery”! It has a dusty and somewhat papery smell, which I imagine comes from cedar. The dusty accord that emerges from the first spray is dry, powdery, for a moment similar to the scent of lipstick. There is no doubt—lipstick is a powerful symbol of self-expression, celebrating the power of femininity - and the scent of lipstick only adds to its appeal. Special occasions come to mind, when as children we borrowed our mother's lipsticks and when you feel eager to reach into a handbag to pass some colour that lifts the spirit. So, if you're lacking a bit of courage, why not dress up in this fabulous lipstick-inspired scent? But this makeup effect does not last long because soon after, a woody facet rich in cedar shavings joins to create a darker and deeper note. Ah, what would I give for this nuance to last forever? I love the iris flower, in nature, and fragrances as alpha-methyl ionone. That sense of dry and clean, of baby powder, and combined with cedarwood creates something unique. It is not a secret that I am fond of "L'Homme | Prada", "Dior Homme Original (2011) (Eau de Toilette) | Dior", "Ferré for Men (Eau de Toilette) | Gianfranco Ferré", "Frescaessenza | L'Erbolario", and "Santal 33 (Eau de Parfum) | Le Labo", to mention a few. Majestic Opulence in an Asian-inspired Eau de parfum, and like "Golden Decade | Zara", it turns around the honeyed orange blossoms. It was my second choice in the ZARA Chapter 3 collection while quickly checking the new collection in the store. It opens in a curious composition of exuberant freshness, fruitiness, and powderiness. It opens with a chalky, almost waxy raspberry note that is very reminiscent of lipstick, and I found it just spicy enough to make my mouth water without being cloying. Yes, there is fleeting bergamot, but there is also a bite dust base. It is dry, papery, sour, and powdery altogether. It then slowly warms up on the skin and becomes a lovely, sophisticated and slightly sweet scent, vanilla-sweet powdery iris note with an undertone of orange blossom and raspberries—such a wonderful scent. I love the orange blossom note used here as in the Gaultier fragrances, so well done and distinctive. But that is not the only flower used here; some rosy, akin to rose petals or geranium leaves, oozes from the heart. The dry-down is not musky. Instead, it is floral vanilla with a sweetness seeping through. Vanilla and iris flower reflects sublime femininity touched by these oriental notes. The vanilla base is there, but it's not overwhelming and helps anchor the sharpness of the initial spritz. Nevertheless, I found the scent almost genderless, with both feminine and masculine facets. Despite the sweetness, it never goes into cloying territory. That orris buttery vibe sets the right mood for the final smoked vanilla, used here in its amber, authentic, and warm way, with fruity and burnt nuances reminiscent of crème brûlée. Gentle and comfortable, a fantastic choice for everyday use. I see it as an inoffensive sweet scent suitable for office and leisure—average longevity versus a moderate projection, something more intimate not filling the room. I would reach for it during the middle seasons; spring and fall days match with it perfectly. Finally, let me say that although certainly the color of the bottle and the notes may suggest that it is a very feminine perfume, I see it perfectly wearable for a man. Of course, knowing that you are wearing a perfume that is on the borderline. But for those men who love fragrances like "Dior Homme Original (2011) (Eau de Toilette) | Dior" or "Gentleman Givenchy (Eau de Parfum) | Givenchy" I encourage you to try it. This just arrived at the door this morning and I had to test it right away. It’s sooo good! I instantly opened my Zara app and added another to my cart because I know I’ll cry if zara stops selling it and I can’t purchase this anymore in the near future. It’s a warm sweet, sexy, and powdery scent. Perfect for this mild fall weather when there’s a little chill in the air. It does give off some LVEB comparisons but it doesn’t smell exactly like it, if that makes sense. It has that kind of sweet, powdery vibe but it has its own unique scent. I am in love with this!! It’s too early to say how long it lasts but I’ll update my review after wearing it out today. This is everything I expected and more! I almost didn’t want to write a review because i don’t want it to sell out 😂 Edit to say it lasts pretty long! I went out for the day and came home and it was still going strong on my clothes. It isn't the strongest scent out there, but for $29CAD it's pretty good. If you love super sweet scents this is great. I'm buying another!

I don’t know where to start! This is my favorite parfum out of Zara. The pepper here is so strong and it gets more delicate with time, the vanilla is slowly revealing itself after 2min and it is simply intoxicating! The vanilla in this perfume is special, smells expensive than any vanilla note I have ever smelled. And gives this perfume a sexy gourmand touch. I had La vie est belle and it was my signature perfume when I was a teenager I also tried the ‘Intensement’ version. I know the whole LVEB line! and trust me Majestic Opulence is different, it’s less sweet and more sharp which gives it more character. They have similar DNA but it is not a dupe! A beauuuutiful and so far the best creation from Zara. The only negative thing about it is that the opening is a bit synthetic. The pepper although it’s ‘pink’ can suffocate you if you over spray. But after 10 min... You will smell Majestic!

This smells incredible and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. My advise would be to definitely give it a couple of minutes on the skin. Upon first spray, I got a very strong alcohol scent mixed with a sort of synthetic shampoo smell that really put me off. However, after leaving the house and letting the perfume dry down for about 5-10 minutes, omg, the true scent really came out! I kept wondering what that super pleasant smell following me around was, until I realized it me! I think I heard a YouTube reviewer describe this as a warm comforting scent like a hug from your mom and honestly, she was spot on. This made me think of my mom right away for some reason. It smells feminine, grown up ( but not too grown up) and so elegant. So so glad I got this one!

I received my order today 😆 Tried on the wrist, so far I like it, I wouldn't say it's an opulent fragance, but I do like it. I do not find it similar to LVEB original, I'm not familiar with their flankers, only tried the eclat. I can detect vanilla and raspberry Edit: it's been 7 hours now, test on the skin. I own Trésor La Nuit a La Folie, and I swear it's all I can sniff, the vanilla is so similar like a vanilla wafers or creme brulee 😋 Edit:This collection is 💣 I'm ordering another bottle, I'm in love with it 😍, if you like vannilla fragrances you need to grab this one. I wanted to try Golden Decade so bad

It is powdery and soft. Smells just like those high end lipsticks at the mall. Not normally my kind of scent but it is inoffensive and can be worn at the office as it is so soft. Everytime I sniff my wrist, all I could think of is lipstick, more specifically, the Lancome brand lipstick! Must be the Iris and Raspberry combo. Dry down is a faint vanilla similar to creme brulee. Delicious! But not cloying sweet. A very pleasant vanilla scent. I usually do not like sweet scents but I like it in this fragrance. This is one of those fragrances where it becomes more beautiful the longer it stays on your skin.

My partner loves the smell of sweet flowers by montale on me. I read that this was super similar so I gave it a go as is much more afordable. Smells really close to sweet flowers, a little less sweet, I think it is the orange blossom making it a little softer and more appropriate for everyday wear! I like it! It doesnt have the longevity and projection of sweet flowers... But it's also 100€ cheaper so it's absolutely fine (moderate longevity and projection by the way)! My partner also agrees that it's really close to sweet flowers so it's definitely a win in my books!

When I first got this in 2022, it smelled a lot like Iris and it reminded me of lipstick or cosmetics. So I put it in the back of my perfume cabinet. Fast forward to Jan 2025, I pulled it out and was curious and sprayed 1 spray on my wrist. Woah!! It has gotten stronger and the iris is much toned down. Instead im getting a creamy vanilla with lots of orange blossom and jasmine. Wow!! I didn't know fragrance can change so much! This is a love for me now.

At first sniff I wasn’t sure but after letting it sit on my skin for about 5 mins, it grew on me. I like that it’s something different in my collection. It’s sexy, mysterious, yet sweet & delicious. I definitely smells the iris, orange blossom & especially the raspberry. It smells very similar to Jean Paul Gauliter Scandal by night which I use to own, but at the time I didn’t love it enough to keep it.

Could not love this scent more; it was £17.99 for 80ml and frankly a complete bargain at that price point Thankfully the raspberry note isn’t too syrupy on my skin and is barely there. Initially I get orange blossom and Iris and a slightly vintage feel - not aldehydic in any way, more powdery - then later it feels like a vanillary lipstick scent, without being remotely sickly. Longevity is excellent!

I sprayed this, and knew the scent!! It took me a minute to realize that it is almost the exact same as LVEB intensement (as others have said). I also have LVEB intensement. I can spray one on each hand and after two minutes, I cannot tell the difference. Powdery, iris, vanilla, and zesty fruity candy. They both last all day on my skin. It is a steal to get this scent from Zara.

Sweet and juicy raspberry and orange blossom tempered by soft iris. Majestic Opulence reminds me somewhat of the equally lovely Un Soir a Paris by Agatha Paris (save for the iris); its delicious sweetness moreish and inviting. Ideal for a pick-me-up, this is strong enough to see you through the day and has a decent sillage. Very enjoyable for everyday use; highly recommended.

I bought this because I'm a sucker for iris/lipstick-y scents but this is not what I was hoping. There is something in here (maybe the orange blossom) that ruins it for me and takes it into an almost nauseating place. I wish it were a little more iris-forward. I thought this would be my favorite in this series, but I like Memoire Intense more.

This is a gem. Awesome value - in fact I own 3 bottles of this and it made me go out and buy LVEB Intensement as they are extremely similar. I would say that Majestic Opulence is a great dupe for LVEB Intensement, just not as strong and doesn’t last as long. Sweet, powdery and musky raspberry. I can’t imagine anyone not liking this.

I would like to take back my review below! This one has really grown on me. I think the initial spray is a bit overwhelming but after an hour I really get the beautiful vanilla, powdery iris. It actually is quite lipstick-y and I feel like an idiot for dismissing Majestic Opulence so quickly.

This smells really nice. I had the first edition and indeed it is very reminiscent of La vie est belle, such a beautiful and elegant fragrance.

Smells like Mancera wild cherry and Lipstick 💄 on by MM

I blind bought a handful of Zara fragrances, and I accidentally grabbed this one instead of Golden Decade. When it arrived, I wasn't sure if I'd like it. It just smelled very irisy at the opening - super powdery, which isn't usually my thing. I sprayed it on this morning, and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. It's far better on skin than I thought it would be! On skin, the raspberry/vanilla is much more prominent. It's still powdery, but it's sweeter with the raspberry/vanilla than I initially thought it would be. I don't have and have never smelled LVEB Intensement or Eclat, so I'm not sure how close of a dupe this is, but in any case it smells warm and sweet and feminine. The iris makes it more sophisticated than most fruity florals out there, but the raspberry/vanilla keeps it youthful and girly. I love it! The only downside is the sillage/longevity. It's better than most Zara perfumes which disappear immediately, but it still sits pretty close to the skin. I sprayed it on three hours ago and I already have to get pretty close to my wrist to smell it.

So glad I got hold of this. I signed up for a notification and grabbed it right away when it came into stock. I like this very much. It's sweet, fruity, vanillic, just slightly woody in the base. Not very powdery which is great for my tastes. It's a very wearable, likeable, versatile fragrance. I think it can go easily from day to evening, season to season. The bottle is simple but elegant. For $35 Canadian, you can't go wrong.

A beautiful feminine perfume. Very similar to LVB Intensément, except that this perfume is just a little less sweet, which suits me perfectly! It’s not as durable as the original, but given the price, I can’t complain. Definitely worth buying :)

such an interesting fragrance, truly unique. it had no tester in the shop so i bought this blindly. :D worth it!

I didn't have many expectations but this is quite nice. Saving for cooler weather, I think it will shine.

I’ve tested this perfume both on cooler and warmer weather and it projects the same: barely anything. I have to overspray A LOT to smell it and at first it is very sharp and sweet but it turns powdery very quickly. However, once it settles I barely smell it afterwards. I would say I can smell it for 15 minutes and barely smell it after an hour. It’s a shame because I really like the scent. I won’t be repurchasing.

While I do love powdery perfumes I didn’t get any of this until the drydown which was a soft, powdery iris vanilla. I didn’t like the opening at all though. It was too sharp and tart to me. Maybe due to the raspberry and the pepper. It gets a 3/5 from me

This smells exactly like Montale Sweet Flowers. I believe Chapter 3 were not designer dupes at all but Montale dupes. It would be strange if Zara would use this type of bottle for a designer dupe. They have their normal bottle range for that. Memoire Intense smells exactly like Montale Diamond Greedy. Although I have never smelled Sublime Epoque, my guess is that it is close to Montale's Orange Flowers which I do have. Haven't figured out yet which one is Golden Decade in the Montale range. It does smell super close to Libre, but people are mentioning that the drydown is different.

I have Montale Sweet Flowers and La Vie est Belle Intensement. Although they are both much alike and also both alike Majestic Opulence I'm definately positive Majestic Opulence is a dupe for Montale Sweet Flowers. Why would Zara create a new line/bottle, apart from their normal/designer dupe range, then put all Mancera in the first edition, then add Vibrant Leather for her in the same packaging (Creed) then make own scents or dupes (not sure) in the second launch, and then go for designer dupes in the 3rd? They might as well have used their normal bottles for that.

So, I have never liked La vie est Belle OG and that range as a whole. Just too sweet. I always got nauseous trying them.. but this Zara perfume has made me change my mind. I blind bought this because of the notes - I love them all and figured I had to try it out. Well, such a successfully blind buy. I’m actually flabbergasted. This one is one of the most loveliest perfume I have smelled😳🤯 I’m totally hooked and have reached for it everyday since I got it, even though my perfume collection is quite big. The only down side is the longevity, which sadly only lasts for a few hours on me, but to be fair, my skin drinks up perfumes as if it’s dying of thirst😂 So that in consideration, it probably has better longevity on others.. still it’s not a beast, though. I read that la vie est belle intensément could last up to 12 hours+ So I guess I will try it out. I still think this smells better because this lacks patchouli. Edit: Got myself a bottle of LVEB intensément. They are basically identical, except for that patchouli note, which kinda ruins it a little bit for me. I would buy this from Zara any day over the OG. Sadly this one is extremely hard to get where I live - sold out at both stores and website😩

Initially I mixed this up with Golden Decade (deleted my initial review there) as it was kind of a long bottle extravaganza at my Zara and I got confused. I really liked this and detected orange blossom and vanilla the most, as when I tested it the notes weren’t listed here yet. Luckily I didn’t get any syrypy raspberry as in Mon Paris, just a general sweetness. This isn’t terribly original, but very likable with good performance, no niche quality but definitely designer. Out of the chapter 3 series this and Golden Decade were my favorites. I haven’t tested the LVEB intensement so can’t compare. The iris resembles what’s in the LVEBs in general but there is absolutely no patchouli in here. The others Memoire Intense (Idole) and Sublime Epoque (My Way) weren’t my personal style but they are all great value.

This on my hand from a spray in the store is giving Scandal By Night / Scandal by Jean Paul Gaultier dupe in all of the best ways! Out of all the recent new fragrances in this Chapter 3 drop, this one to my nose is my favorite! I do own Scandal so not too inclined to pick this up at the moment, but perhaps over time or maybe with a nice sale I may acquire this to spray to save sprays of my Scandal.

This a lovely scent with good projection and long lasting. The only LVEB I currently own is the Cristal Soleil and this smells similar in the dry down. My skin extinguishes scents that others say have strong projection and last long but this one lasted an unbelievable 10 hours for me on skin. I will never finish this bottle or the Cristal Soleil but at least I didn’t pay a lot for it.

Blind bought this one and I've had it for about a month.. I want to love it but it smells very sickening to me. I never like anything with pink pepper or any fruity top notes. Maybe it's that. If anyone is interested I have a 80ml willing to sell for $20. No box, sprayed a few times.

Very beautiful feminine fragrance. Sweet, spicy florals. Sprayed it side by side with La Vie Est Belle Intensément and they are very similar but not 100% same. Definitely for colder days won't wear it in summer and spring. It is my favourite of this chapter.

This is along the same vein as La Vie est belle intensement. It’s not as sweet as that one though. That one has a sweetness that can be cloying if not careful. If you like the La vie est belle line, you’ll be quite happy owning this.

Let this one sit for a long while. When I first got this, I tossed it aside... only to pick it back up a year later to find that it really developed over time. It’s strong.

Powdery iris, raspberry, and vanilla... it is so lovely. Definitely a lipstick scent! Definitely worth the money spent even though I didn’t have to fork over very much.
