Got this frag just because I heard it was similar to my signature,Black XS,and I was not disappointed. After 15 minutes you spray it,you have 50-70 minutes where this one is just the same like Black XS,in the last part of the dry down you can clearly see the diference between the 2. Performance is half of the Black XS.You get like 3 and a half hours max with man gold,while the other one gets you like 7+ hours. Overall it's a nice kinda replica of the Black XS with half the performance,projection at least 20cm in all directions if you use the clasic 4 spray around the neck,1 front,1 back,1 left,1 right.(If you go out,you need 6 sprays for a good projection,4 around the neck,1 on each shoulder on the clothes) 8/10 just because it has a very cheap price.You can't go wrong. It's a weak frag,be smart,use it on a quick 3-4 hour night out in a club,pub or a place where you move,if you warm up the projection gets a lot bigger with this one.Don't use it while you are static.Enjoy it !

The opening was fresh citrus with dark balsamic gourmand kind of smell at the back. In 7 mins the game starts. I underestimated this one, but it turned out literally Gold on my skin. Projection was good for 2 hours and longevity is amazing around 4 5 hours on my skin. I enjoyed the gourmand, cardemom(warm spicy), incense kind of smell. After 2 hours the patchouli smelled really classy. About this, skin chemistry is everything. On someone's skin this will not be as good. Body heat helps to project it better. P.S.I didn't smell chocolate prominently, but its balsamic and cardamom mix that might be giving chocolate feel. Latest formulation is different. Notes mentioned on fragrantica are different than on box. . If this is similar to Black XS then I can imagine what Original Black xs might be(I never smelled it)

You may as well respray after 3,5 hours on the same skin spots for a 50% longevity/sillage gain... It works and is still 85% cheaper than the Black XS fragrance

The 2017 ZARA MEN GOLD EDT (limited edition) has different notes. According to Zara, the 2017 version notes are: Calabrian lemon - Kalamizi - Praliné - Cinammon - Black Cardammom - Patchouli This means the same notes but with added ?? KALAMIZI ?? Does anybody knows what KALAMIZI is? As for the scent itself, it still smells (a lot) like Black XS (almost bang on) and in my opinion the performance got a bit better (I would estimate 20%).

Easily the best of the three Zara's I own, the other two being Man Uomo and Man Silver, just wish it was longer-lasting and a tad bit stronger (louder).

Warm, pleasant, spicy, sweet, great fragrance for colder weather, special occasions and dates, sweet from the start and then dries down to warm spicy

Love it. Projection quite good as well. Longevity around 6 hours. 9/10

Smelled this at my local Zara, now I might be the only one but I smelled strawberry on the first spray and continued to smell strawberry-like scent. I do get some lemon as well and then some wood way in the background. I don’t smell any cinnamon whatsoever. Longevity is poor. Becomes a skin scent after 10 mins. I like it and it’s cheap so I would probably pick it up just because.

The perfect dupe for Creed Aventus, the citrus opening is very similar. Surprisingly performance on this one is actually decent. After that the scent is very alike to Aventus. This is the only fragrance by Zara that I think it is a good choice if you don't want to spend so much money on the real deal.

Got this along with Man Silver for next to nothing. Man Gold is very nice. Praline and Lemon come together and the result is a win. It has very little lasting power (as others have mentioned), but at this price...spray away.

Warm spicy dark burnt caramel gingery smell Nice wintery scent Moderate longevity and sillage

I got myself a decant of this from a friend a few days ago and I've been testing it out a couple times now. My honest opinion is that this is a fail for me. I get a lot of zesty lemon (peel+juice) as well as the warm spices while nothing of the sweetness mentioned (...well maybe some of it in the background but still close to nothing). Really questioning myself if we all got the same juice because I do not relate to most of you here!!! Also, it lasts for an hour without any sort of sillage so to me this feels more like a body mist. The scent in itself is not bad... it's a simple inoffensive aromatic citrus that can be worn in most season and occasions, and unisex at that. But, like I've mentioned before, why would I buy this when I could get two body mists for the same price??!! Really hope Zara would amp up their formulations because a pretty scent is not enough for me to like a fragrance.

This perfume is much sweet and dessert. I got bored after a while. I wish it wasnt so sugary. However it is orgınal and typical. İf you will use I recommend usint it in winter or fall. Parfüm fazla tatlı. Bir süre sonra baydı. Bu kadar şekerli olmamasını dilerdim. Yine de sıradan değil özgün bir parfüm. Kullanacaksanız kışın ya da sonbaharda kullanmanızı tavsiye ederim.

On me this most resembles strawberry candy, with dry cinnamon and cardamom underneath it. It’s quite a cold scent, almost metallic. Perhaps it doesn’t agree with my skin, I’m not sure. I don’t hate it but don’t love it either - either way it was cheap enough that I can’t really regret buying it. Longevity is decent although it doesn’t project much.

Basic sweet gourmandish scent. Pleasant and easy to wear. It doesn't sound too synthetic like other Zara scents. Definitely not for hot summer days, but otherwise it's quite versatile.A good try for its price.

Smells synthetic to me but not as offensive as Zara Silver. If you can get past the slight synthetic harshness, there are some nice notes buried inside. Overall just OK.

Zara Man Gold for men (2017, dark gray bottle with black letters) is similar to Paco Rabanne Black XS for men. The smell is nice and if you are into BlackXS/1Million/Invictus type of scents, I suggest you try this. Longevity is weak and sillage is moderate. Does not replace Black XS. If you are on a budget and really want Black XS it's always a good idea to gather some money for a while and buy the real thing. But if it's out of the question, this Man Gold (2017) is the best imitation at the moment. Well at least the best I've ran into. I'd say it's 70% similar to Black XS. It's also one of the gentlest fragrances I've sprayed: it just seems I can go crazy with this one and don't get headache. I payed 10€ for 100ml so it's not expensive. While there are even better deals in Zara I think this is a good bang for the buck. Btw, Zara, could you leave even the bottom of the bottle see-through, please. It's hard to know how much liquid there actually is left. Edit: I live in a country where temperature fluctuates from -30°C to +30°C depending of the time of the year. (That's -22°F to 86°F) It seems that that Man Gold is much more similar to Black XS for men in winter time but not in summer time.

Forget it! This will not pass as Black XS With 6-7 years of wearing black xs original formula 07-09 I can tell, even now when having both on each hand,ZARA turns into polite non offensive version with a sweet, kinda gum vibe.Totaly worth the price ZARA will not compete with the Black XS You can buy and spay here and there,BUT the BEAST will not leave for and for like that. Cheapy well copied Get the original or get the L'Exes Be real

I just came on here to say that a tradesman was wearing this while working in the hospital hallway today and I smelled it just from passing by. I stopped and had to ask him what it was because it was such a nice clean and fresh but also lovely masculine fragrance!!!❤️ Now I want it for my boyfriend because it was so nice!!!😊

This one is just perfect for cold weather not for sunny hot days like today,projects fine and scent is also great but very spice for the summer days,,,Winter is the best for this fragrance... Scent 9/10 Sillage 6/10 Longevity 7/10 Projection 5/10 Price 10/10 ( 100ml bottle for $16 )

Along with blue and seoul, for him and aquatic mind, theyre great. Man gold is my fav though, musky, bold, manly, in a non offensive clean type of way that lasts and smells youthful as opposed to old, similar to Amen by Mugler but better, sweeter, more sharp and fresh.

I just bought a double pack of Zara man gold and silver All I can smell for the Man Gold is Strongly Sweet Pineapple from top note to middle note.

Very sweet with a fruity vibe. Maybe it's the praline. Longlasting, last a workday but not my cup of tea......
