Memoire Intense

The memory of intense love. The emotion that this perfume conveys comes from a story that touches the soul personally and leaves the heart vacant, like empty rooms. In the transition, the fragrance describes the sense of emptiness that losing the partner has left inside the heart. The "empty rooms" represent the absence, inhabited only by snapshots and memories of the past life together. They are the "drops of memory" that flow like tears and leave an indelible trace behind them. The ineffability or the inability to express what one feels, to measure the feeling, which is in this a feeling full of pain and nostalgia—inestimable, your absence is elusive that it belongs to me. So what is Mémoire Intense about? It is nothing more than a sweet fragrance with a musky layer under it. A modern chypre, also known as pink chypre, which means citrus, floral and earthy accords are featured, with plenty of patchouli replacing the IFRA-prohibited oakmoss. An extreme and flamboyant refined perfume, belonging to the floral and clean chypre olfactory family. The first splash reveals an atmosphere of oriental jasmine and chypre against a background of woody vanilla, possibly from the cashmere molecule. Well, it opens with a burst of sweet, succulent and pinkish bitter orange. It hooks me from that first breath of beauty. The bitter orange is substantial support, which prevents the scent from becoming too sweet. It is a large, fragrant rose with a realistic orange juice vibe as if the rose petals are floating on fresh orange juice. A perfume beginning that makes itself felt while being quite elegant. The sensation of clean citrus with pink brush strokes. As it settles throughout the day, you feel the notes of vanilla, musk, and its woody base notes become clearer. Modern patchouli becomes quite prominent, giving the fragrance a more earthy feel. The roster features a chypre accord, from which I get notes of something woody, patchouli, cedar shavings and creamy cashmeran, as well as a generous handful of woody vanilla, spicier than gourmand. I love the dry and persistent cedar and the vanilla woven into the musk at the end of the day. In conclusion, I feel it is a crowd-pleaser, a very interesting combination of sweet, clean and fresh chords. A perfect fragrance to wear in hot and cold seasons, from autumn to winter, day or night. I love the grace and elegance of Mémoire Intense highlighted through the chypre structure. It is so well balanced between the woody base and the floral heart, with such a warm and woody fragrance and a sensual touch. Although the formula is very complex while the scent is airy and pleasant at the same time. I love the mystery of this essence, which is captured by the notes of patchouli and the floral heart composed of rose and jasmine, which I perceive intensely. In short, to better convey the idea, this fragrance is very close to the genre proposed by "Idôle L'Intense | Lancôme", also built around a chypre accord. I based the review on an 80ml bottle I have owned since September 2021.

I love laundry scents and this fits that category for me. It opens with a sweet pear (yeah I agree with @Scentedalterego) with a fresh/delicate rose and emerging cotton laundry note coming through as it dries down. There may be a pinch of vanilla when it's fully dried as well. Silliage is moderate for about 3-4 hours before it becomes a skin scent. It seems to last much longer in my hair and on my clothes. Maybe not the most original, but it's an easy reach when I want something fresh, feminine and easy to wear. It's lovely, can't ask for more. My fellow seems to want to snuggle me more when I happen to have this on, so it's doing something right.

I just received my order. Now I am super excited about this perfume. Idôle is one of my favorites and this one really tried to live up to it. A 😍 for me. I know it won't drydown in the same way but damn is good. Rose 🌹 done beautifully, fresh and fruity ❤️ I think I will order one more just in case. Edit: I have Idôle Intense, which I rarely use because I prefer the OG, and by rarely I mean I never wore it, I received a 50ml and a 10ml sample*, it lasts forever and it's missing some of the brightness the OG has. But today, going through my fragances I tried it and I used Memoire Intense a few days ago 😌 it is so similar my gawd

Underrated fragance... All the 4 from this chapter are a must have in my opinion, especially if you're someone who's into wearing according to your emotions.. I have Ginza and Idôle and oh boy the best way I can describe this scent now, is exactly a mix between these fragances, maybe because I got it in the winter it smelt different but now in the summer I swear it got sweeter Today I understand I love them all. I have a back-up bottle of each one, except for this one, I might need to stock up one! (I had 2 for Sublime Epoque, but gave one to my sister)

This has a wow factor and is one of the best in this lineup. It is blended SO beautifully and its performance far exceeds my expectations. I hate saying it's worth a lot more than what it costs because we know Zara takes that and runs with it, but it's true. This is feminine, chic, and elegant and embodies the essence of a woman who is effortlessly and naturally beautiful. In my opinion it is suitable for any occasion any time of year. A definite win and well worth the investment. A little goes a long way.

This is absolutely stunning! I seldom leave reviews but love reading them when I’m interested in learning more about a scent (especially when blind-buying), so I had to leave a review on this one. This is pretty heavy on patchouli, which I happen to love - but if patchouli isn’t your thing this one may not be for you. This isn’t too much of one thing - as in it isn’t too much floral or too much sweetness, it is just simply beautiful.

Absolutely amazing perfume... love it so much and it’s lasts forever on my skin👍🏼I don’t know what idole smelks like but I’m very happy with this one.. I have all 3 golden decade perfumes and I love those as well. I’m impressed with Zara perfumes lately and feel they’re very affordable. I definitely can’t afford paying 300 plus euros for some of the “niche”fragrances. Thank you Zara👍🏼🤗

She smells like your clean laundry you smell during spring towards summer. It gives the clean girl scent that I never thought I would adore it this much. I usually gravitate towards floral notes but this one caught me off guard with the refreshing clean smell you just want to go back to sniff more when you just change your bedsheets. I absolutely adore it!!!

Oh my gosssshhh. This smells sososo nice. The orange is such a true, RIPE juicy orange. Like the juiciest darkest orange was crushed up and reduced in a syrup. The rose and woods are more prominent than the orange, but having that really interesting orange behind them was such a great idea on the perfumers part. I love it :)

This scent is stunning ! In their 4 collections, this is the best for me. I got this in Thailand from Central Ladprao. Rose perfumes is not goin well with me except this one. it’s bright floral roses but not aged. Sweet, fresh not sugary. It’s the safe scent. Great value from Zara !

I am growing to love rose scents. I have all 4 of the Zara Chapter 3 and I only picked this one to complete the set. It's a soapy rose scent that is great on its own or for pairing with something else. It's very nice. It's classy. I love adding it to Calvin Klein Obsession.

Fresh, sweet citrus floral. Delicious, smells expensive. I'm just annoyed because the bottle I bought is falling apart a bit. So annoying the lid takes off more than it should. I suppose you get what you pay for in terms of packaging.

Really sad this got discontinued!! Cant understand why!! :-( I have been serching Zara and then all over ebay, Depop, Vinted for months and cant even find a second hand bottle. Zara PLEASE bring Memoire Intense back!

I can't detect the rose in this. It is not an overpowering perfume. It is not so sweet. I would say it is fresh and sharp and not offensive. You can wear this anywhere. No one is gonna be bothered. I love it.8/10

So so sad this beautiful baby got discontinued. It liked it even better in my skin than Idôle, and was of course much better for my wallet. Oh well... Another victim of Zara's "dupe & kill".

This is beautiful. It resembles Idole to me. It’s long lasting and the musk is just enough to be rich and feminine. Zara outdid themselves. Very Classy!

I bought this as another failed attempt of trying to find a perfume that I like as much as I liked Idole L'intense when I first sniffed it. That being said, It is not a bad perfume whatsoever, it almost tricked me for a bit. I also don't share the opinion with the people here saying that it has a bad longevity. I've used this in a double work shift of 15+ hours and It still could be felt quite close to my skin, and I say this because a workmate said she liked my perfume when we said goodbye from a cheek kiss, so, while it lasts, I can't say it is particularly well projecting, but it wasn't a characteristic of my beloved idole intense either. After reviewing the longevity aspect, all I can say is that, this is an in between Idole classic and the L'intense version. At first it reminds of the intense version, just a bit scratchy and unpolished. On the original you can feel the orange zest being pungent but still smooth, juicy, soft and fruity. Memoire intense starts bitter and clean at the same time, which is not bad but when comparing both perfumes is obvious to me which one is one. After that you can feel this floral, clean, almost laundry detergent feel in the perfume which I really enjoy. It is calming and smells genuinely good, but it is not as special man, and that's what is wrong with all the dupes I have tried so far, they lack the juicy orange, floral and woody depth that makes up the beauty that is Idole L'intense. The fragrance world dupe gets the drydown aspect quite good but it last about an hour. So far while it is not duping anything, to me, Idole's L'Intense older sister, Natura Una Art has been a good option. It has great depth, feels soft, musky, juicy, orangy a bit spicy and clean. It has all the qualitys I loved in Idole L'intense but it's remixed in a way that stands on it's own. An original composition that scratches all the good spots. Also the opening reminded me a lot of 5th avenue NYC vibe. In conclussion it's not a bad perfume, but if I want a good clean laundry vibe I'd go with Still by Jennifer Lopez and if I wanted the depth that Idole L'intense had, I'd go with Natura Una Art. Most likely I won't be repurchasing.

2nd update for blind buyers; Yes its idole intense-y as you can see the word play on the bottle. It smells like ski hotel. I know very specific but it reminds me that and “coco_pebz” said this is like luxury soap or body wash you’ll find in a luxury hotel. I can say yes. Safe blind buy. Don’t expect mossy Chypre or rose coma. It’s so light and it has the classic Lancome powdery accord in it. Is it collection worthy? Meh. But it’s a safe fragrance for everyday anytime any setting. At least it can be a good sheet fragrance for your bedroom too. So you’ll definitely use it. But i like it so much bc it gives me soothing vibes & “memories”. Jeez, the name is just so on point that I can’t wrap my head around it.
