(Metamber)

Last summer one of my close friend mentioned that she was layering Baccarat Rouge 540 layering with Another 13 from Le Labo and I thought “what a strange combo “ But when I’ve smelled it on her I have fallen in love with the mix of both. And when people here mentioning that Metamber smells like mix of Baccarat Rouge 40 and Another 13 is right on the money . When I have read the comments I went along a bought my friend a bottle and yesterday when I gave it to her , we both couldn't believe Metamber smells exactly same when she is been layering these two perfumes. It's totally Unisex. I must say Zara is doing great with their fragrance line last few years . Impressive work.

I would describe this as a much less sweet, more light and summery version of Red Temptation/Zara For Him Red/Baccarat Rouge. It is a 100% "molecular" fragrance, no flowers, all amber with a touch of that burnt sugar feeling (maybe even a hint of that burnt smell in general). It opens a bit "masculine" with a touch of pepper that goes away very soon, leaving central stage to an ambery sweet core. The dry down is slightly musky, and clean, probably some iso y super is in there too. Dry down alone reminded me of another Zara fragrance, the Golden Lullaby (Jo Malone edition) and of Another 13 by Le Labo. All in all it is a quite linear fragrance. Like others have said, it is a bit of a mix between Baccarat Rouge & Another 13, but much, much lighter then Baccarat, like a summer version of Baccarat! Personally, this also reminded me of a much less chaotic version of Cheeky Smile by Jusbox, minus the cashmeran ( I have inserted it in the "remind me of section") and like Cheeky Smile there is a light toy head quality in this fragrance (which I find lacking in Baccarat and his dupes). I downvoted the similarity with Zara Full Moon Over the Desert because that one had a bit of that ambery/Baccarat dna, yes.. but it was a tan leathery bomb, very masculine while this one is unisex and more delicate. It has moderate longevity and moderate sillage, and presents one of the worst Zara sprayer ever (very watery "mist", almost drops).

It does come across as a mix of BR540 and Another 13, I really like Another 13 but this combination is...odd? I have yet to understand whether I like it or not, maybe it'll grow on me over time, I'll update the review. EDIT: 70% BR540 30% Another 13, I don't honestly like this much, I have other fragrances in the same vein as this and I like them better, it feels like the cottoncandy version of Another 13 and it's meh, bad release imho. Lasting power is insane tho, I can still faintly smell it after basically 10 hours of wearing, it's super soft from the get go but it's always there, pretty sure I go noseblind to it, it seems to have a lot of ambergris or something that my nose bypasses.

This is a weird one, I must admit... I hesitated to buy these based on the reviews here that it resembles Red temptation etc.. so when I saw that they are on sale, I did not hesitate. I don't really get the red temptation vibe just yet, but I do get this kind of salty/sweet almost chlorine smell like when you are in a closed swimmingpool . It's faint , but it's there, at least in my smell bank :-) Yet strangely, I do like it... Some people here mention also metal, and I do get that link too... This is just my premiere impression, will do a deep diver later on... But hey, go and get this during black Friday sales, for less then 11€, this is worth having in one's collection

Ambroxan bomb. Use 2-3 sprays and that’s more than enough. It has a sweetness that is not offensive but rather soft linear. The ambroxan though, it’s prominent. I think it would be better use for layering. If you have a weak fragrance that has a bad performance, this one can push it out but you need to try the layering to make sure it blends well. I layered with Vetiver Pamplemouse from the same house, which is amazing as a scent but poor longevity. It seems Metamber amboxan pulls back and the freshness of the vetiver remains a little longer. Fast forward of one year and half and I really regret not buying it when I could since it's impossible to find now. It is a weird mix between Another 13 and BR540 but honestly it's so different that I still think about it. #feelsbadman

Zara London + Red For Him and some dirt? Anyone?

I honestly don’t get any Another 13 at all. This is the BR540 30min from spray all the way down but much more restrained. There is an element of masculinity that I appreciate but nothing here is groundbreaking. Edit: On drydown there is the same musk of A13 though at this point there is no projection

The opening smells like a very soft version of BR540 (or Red Temptation by Zara), but that quickly goes away and you are left with also much softer version of Another 13. Ambery, musky, "your skin but better" kind of fragrance. It also comes in 20 ml bottle.

this smell exactly like lattafa ana abiyedh ; this one has a better opening but ana abiyedh last all day with way better projection power 5 min in and you can't tell the difference except the zara one will disappear after 2 hours

I was so excited to try this fragrance thinking it would be something different or something with a twist. It is just like Zara Red Temptation with a little more musk and more the awful metallic smell.

Just tried this in store with 3 sprays on my arm. Opens up just like a "molecular" fragrance. My daily driver is Molecule 01 and this opens just like that. However, as it starts to dry down, you get the ever so slight hint of BR540. In the full dry down I get a whiff of BR540 but mostly it smells (if you can smell it) like Iso E Super. If you enjoy molecular frangrances and want to add something extra to it, then this is a nice buy. If you never tried any molecular fragrances then you might feel like this does not smell anything.

People saying this one is a lighter take on Zara's BR540 clones are spot on. It's less sweet, less in your face, less loud. Very wearable thanks to its politeness. I'm just worried that taking away the intensity of BR540 takes away a too much of its magic. Isn't the point of this DNA to be loud and proud? A decent release worth trying nevertheless.

If you are a Zara fan and already own For Him Red or Red Temptation you can skip this, they are too similar

Smells like Another 13 mixed with the metal like smell of BR540. Not my thing.

For me, this one stands out the least from the collection.
