No 2 Bergamot and Leather Spritz

Lovely gift from Zara at the price this fragance is being sold. This smells, and more important, FEELS expensive. The scent is almost the same from the first spray till it starts fading away: a pretty deep but not strong nor suffocating leather/oud aroma, with a more subtle iris and an ambery base. Here's the thing; I couldn't tell there was any iris into this parfum until I checked the notes. I totally feel there's something that softens the leather power and presence, but it's so quiet that feels almost like a whisper. Also, the bergamote note is pretty much a funny introduction to the fragance. You can feel a sparkly vibe when you just put it on, that vanishes soft and beautifully. The transition from leather to just oud and amber is also exquisite. As other user said, the base feels ''just like'' oud and amber, but you almost can't notice the leather is not there anymore after it dissapears. The tone and vibe from this oud is almost exact as the leather one, truly a perfect match in terms of notes. I have this problem with leathery or oud based/leaning fragances that they tend to ''impose'' or take over the scene. I really don't feel comfortable when my parfum is the most noticeable thing in my whole outfit, or if I feel it can bother other people around me. So, this one achieves (for me) the perfect balance in these terms; you can get the leather scent, it's deep enough to be both, noticeable and enjoyable, but, as this is a Zara parfume, it has this ''limit'' Inditex tends to work around with, so it cannot annoy almost anyone. The sillage and projection are nice. The fragance has presence, and it's totally noticeable but, again, we're talking about an Inditex one; you can totally wear it indoors, without any problem (although I do not recommend spraying it 8-10 times as with other Zara creations; 4-5 are quite enough). I would say, duration wise, it last around 2-3 hours with good projection, then you can get another 2 with a moderate one (personal bubble), till it goes into the skin space for the rest of the duration (till I take a shower, in my case). I wouldn't recommend spraying it on clothes, as I don't like using this kind of scent everyday, and it kinda stays on fabrics, but that's totally subjective I guess. Last point to review about, and, In my opinion, an important one, is that this is not a super manly strong leather; quite the contrary, I feel this is a perfect match for women or girls wanting something with that vibe. It has the leather, the sophistication, the ''I'm expensive get out of my way'' fanciness, but it's not rude nor intrusive as the 90% of the leather/oud combinations you can find out there. To sum up; go to your local Zara, and try this girl if you can find it (it's totally sold out in my country). It's good, it's cheap, it's quality into a 25,95 € bottle. P.S.: Not a summer fragance. If someone can pull this off into a hot weather, period girl, you rock, but I feel that's almost an impossible feat. AMAZING for autumn, incredible for winter and good for early-cold spring.

What a shame this fragrance didn't get any hype. Easily one of the best Zara have ever released in this style. Like many people I would imagine, I blind bought this one because of its ostensible association with DHP - which I can't confirm never having smelled it myself - but what I got was something I certainly didn't expect. Essentially, what it is, is a very thin, yet pervasive sweet, liquid amber - almost watery - with a very smoothed out, slightly ashy leather accord and a touch of animalics. The leather is nothing like the bootstrap Tom Ford variety, but a very delicate, almost fleshy leather finger. I know that sounds weird, but it has that organic nature to it. No distinct iris to my nose, no bergamot or obvious lavender. As for the animalics (oud?), if you smell it from the atomizer, you'll know what I mean - almost like the transparent, oily, fractional component of vomit or diarrhea (I swear that's what it reminds me of), but so far in the background and in such a small quantity that it doesn't really show up in the scent proper. Unfortunately, despite the exceptional projection (longevity 9 hours plus), the leather really isn't noticeable beyond a foot either. It's mostly that sweet, translucent amber that stretches out everywhere, and gives a completely unisex vibe. Such a great fragrance to layer with. Although I wouldn't call it terribly complex myself, it absolutely has that "niche" vibe when smelled up close. Sensual stuff, and nowhere near the mass-appealing frags Zara normally releases. Not a compliment getter either; and if you're looking for a Dior Homme/DHI style iris, this ain't it. Got it when it was discounted and I couldn't be happier. I missed out on True Leather last year (never showed up online in my country) and I wasn't going to let that happen again. That one was another Top 5 frag from Zara. Maybe they'll be reincarnated in the future, but I wouldn't count on it. Get 'em while they're available. Two if you love the scent. Hope that helps.

I was doubtfull when i started to hear some reviews saying that this fragrance was similar to Dior Homme Parfum. I just could not believe it and i had my reserves... I blind buy it, because i knew i was going to like (similar to DHP or not, i had to like a fragrance that could remind me of DHP), and there it was!! At first, it starts with a fine lavender vibe, but after a second it starts the leather blast and that familiar lipsticky vibe that is obviously familiar to many of us... and then after 5-10 minutes i started to feel the iris coming in, along with the ambery notes to smooth it all! And there you have - no rose apparently, but what a fine scent! And definitely similar to DHP. I immediately tested both side by side (this one and DHP), and the doubt was finally gone - i just bought a decent cheap alternative to DHP, and arguably with a more proeminent leather note. I must say that this fragrance is one of the leatherish scents that Zara has ever launched, and i am so pleased! It's not a harsh leather note, it's rather an elegant leather, unisex in my opinion, as all fragrances ultimately are! It has great longevity, make no mistake here - although some people might feel it longer than others, it has a fair longevity at minimum. Maybe this could even be used all year round, because of its less potent vibe, in contrast with DHP's stronger presence. What a fine discovery, one more time Zara proved me that i don't need to spend so much money to smell elegant, round and with good longevity! I will get an extra bottle of this for sure!! P.S. - i intend to keep using and buying DHP, just because it has that rose/leather vibe more proeminent, and the development of that fragrance is just unbeatable (for me most elegant fragrance ever!!)

The Jo Malone line for ZARA really does have some bangers. The bergamot mentioned in the name is present in the opening, but it is more on the bitter acidic side, than a sweet juicy citrus. Which works very well with the bold leather accord that comes out right after the opening. The star of the show however, is the Oud accord. I find it very unlikely for any real agarwood resin to have been used in this, as the price point simply cannot provide such budget, but whatever they did to simulate it, it worked very well. The Oud accord in here smells more authentic than what i have smelled in fragrances 10 times the price of this one. It is not your run of the mill "westernized oud" that smells of creamy fresh wood chips, but it gives out scent profile closer to Indian or Laotian wood, being rich, deep, dark and vegetal, rather than the more balsamic and musky Indonesian type. It gives the scent a very robust profile, and it lasts easily for 8+ hours - something very uncharacteristic for a Zara fragrance. While the citrus provides some freshness in the opening, it is not imho a warm/hot weather fragrance - the leather and Oud accords might be overwhelming in such conditions. There is an iris mentioned in the note breakdown, which evidently prompts some inexperienced people to blindly claim its similar to DHP/DHI - it is not, not in the slightest. Overall, absolute gem of a fragrance with a complex, artistic scent profile, unusual for a budget oriented house like ZARA. It goes right up there with Leather Jardin as one of the best this house has ever produced (both from the Jo Malone line).

Run to your local Zara and get this before it's gone. This is a quality scent that you wouldn’t imagine being sold for this price at a fast fashion clothing brand. I did not try it when it first came out but when I noticed it back on the shelves this month I did not hesitate to try it and bought it instantly . It's a perfume for perfume lovers, for those who miss and remember those scents from the 90's where you would smell a woman /man before you would see them. There was an allure and chicness that emanated from them by the perfume they wore, which stated confidence and refinement. This creation of Jo Malone brings me back to those times, where people were not afraid to PERFUME themselves. This one envelops the wearer with an aura of sophistication . I'm not bothering with the note break down or what it might remind me of as we all have a different perception of smell but I can guarantee you that it's a magnificent creation. Congrats Jo, you've created a wonderful perfume here, in line with Leather Jardin and Ancestral Papyrus. These would make a magical trio of perfumes that are real creations for those who like perfumes to be that: a unique creative expression by combining perfume notes that create a magical potion.

So let me tell you - this is easily one of the best, if not the best fragrance ZARA has ever released. You should pick it up as long as you can, because they are notorious for discontiniuing great fragrances. What you get here for 25 bucks is incredible. The fragrance openes with a stong leather/oud note, companied by some fresh citrus notes, lavender and a touch of iris. At first, I didn‘t get the Dior Homme Parfum comparisons, because this seems much more daring but at the same time lighter. As this dries down it is indeed very close to DHP. Becomes much smoother, Oud disappeares in the back and you get a very sophisticated, well made & high quality fragrance. Nothing smells cheap. You could easily price this 150 bucks and put another name on it. The only thing where the price comes into play is the performance. It performs decent, but not great. I get around 5-6h of longevity and moderate projection in the first 3 hours. But still way better than other Zara fragrances. If you can and you like DHP, just buy it. You won‘t regret it. Only thing that seems strange to me is that this fragrance is sold with the female line of fragrances. This doesn‘t seem female at all to me, it is unisex leaning masculine.

I haven't been in Zara for months and I am glad that this is one of the few fragrances that I sampled. I can see some comments saying that the bergamot note at the beginning kinds of overpower a little bit, which I don't sense much except for the first 3 seconds it got sprayed. Maybe the formula changed or it's just me? Right off the bat it immediately radiates this mesmerising scent that I cannot resist, unisex yet leaning a bit more onto the masculine side. It feels elegant, charming, whatever makes a person attractive it gives you exactly that in a rather consistent way. If I really had to be nitpicky, the dry down feels a bit boring and less complex than what it smells like the first hour or two. But seriously what more do you expect from a £29 budget scent? I can see why people vote it to be a winter and fall scent, but to me a warm summer night will do well too. Not my kind of office scent, better reserve it for a date with SO or a party. I'm gonna get it no doubt.

Managed to get my hands on a 90% full bottle today from a reseller for 14 euros. I still have my 2021 bottle which I used only on special occasions and it is around 20% full. This is easily the best perfume Zara ever released. I am not sure why people think this is a dupe for DHI, because it is not. It is a strong balsamic, spicy leather with traces of oud and a sweet undertone. Absolutely unique on it’s own as I cannot compare this perfume with anything else. From my perspective this is the more sophisticated brother of Leather Jardin (another great creation from Zara). Really hope they will re-release this even if it’s under another name or form. Longevity and sillage are over the top, 12+ hours easily on the skin and days on clothes. Me and people around me can easily smell traces of this after multiple hours. I would trade all of my perfumes for a couple back up bottles of this masterpiece.

Today my partner's boss gave her some items she didn't want, it was a box full of brand-new shirts, trainers; at the bottom of the box there was this Bergamot and Leather Sprits fragrance by Zara, brand new, still in the sealed box, my partner opened the box and tried the fragrance, she didn't like it as it has more masculine inclination so she gave it to me ............. I am an old wolf that have a passion for the barbershop old fragrances for men like Aramis, Quorum, Agua Brava, Eau Sauvage, Halston Z14, Pierre Cardin for monsieur and other fragrances on the same line ......... I was surprised how nice and manly this fragrance is, branded for "women", but it has more of a masculine image that suits men better than ladies ......... I liked it a lot and I will wear it this summer coming.

This is AMAZING 🥰 I get a lot of oud and amber. It is a very nice, smooth, sweet amber, like the one in Armani Prive - Ambre Eccentrico. That is quite rare as usually amber is very soapy and somehow dry. This one is amazing, smells so expensive! A bit similar to Nasomato - Black Afgano or its dupe Rasasi (Zebra one). Just a little bit of similarity as I smell that good amber there as well. I think this is the perfume you HAVE TO try on your skin, as from the bottle it smells a lot citrusy, but on my skin (especially dried down) is very oud/amber. Very seductive, sexy, dark fragrance, also feels very exclusive. Zara rocks!

I was looking for this one for a long time, and now it's available on Zara's website in a new bottle! I do not know the smell of the first edition, but definitely this one has nothing to do with Dior Home, 100%! You have a leathery-spicy fragrance, citrusy only in the first 10 min, but the dry down is a oudy-leathery scent! Love it....the leather is not the strong type! Strong 2-3 hours, than is a skin scent! Not bad at all! You have to try it yourself....on my skin it is a bit different than on paper! For me it's a 8/10. Thank GOD I found it! PS: the section ' reminds me of.....'....has nothing to do with the reality!

Bold, fresh yet distinctive and alive. I think it’s the exact definition of unisex. I do love this. It makes me imagine a pine tree and the rubber under a lumberjack boot. The leathery smell first resembles that type of thing for me. A little plastic but very little. After an hour your nose gets used to it or it just settles down and gives this all balanced but powerful fragrance. It’s a bit like a rockstar perfume for me and I like it. I layer this with Rose Gourmant from Zara again, I recommend this combo. It stays longer and gives a hint of amber under all those layers of scents.

In my subjective opinion this is The best Zara X Jo Malone release so far and a far cry from the standard Zara offerings. Too bad it was overlooked by many (who look for exclusivity or status-symbolism in perfumes), as the brand carries a fast-fragrance stigma. Now sadly discontinued and appreciated by a select few. A bit of Dior Homme Parfum, but with added euro-’oud’, lavender and a 12h+ lasting amber and iris drydown. Interestingly, this has castor oil in the ingredients - could this add to the longevity? All in all, a worthy perfume that stands on its own.

Wifey got me this for my birthday, 25$, last bottle on the shelf and i can see why. First 5 seconds are very harsh but then Dior Homme Parfum comes to say hello and shortly after it dresses its leather jacket maybe borrowed from TF OL or ADP Colonia leather bcz somebody lit a fire nearby. Before leaving it gives you a case of some kind of gentle sweet vanilla candy that you eat for couple more hours. DHP yeas, BUT the drydown of this reminds of Tom Ford Noir Man.

This is very similar to Dior Homme Parfum, but much better, ballsy, sophisticated and rich. I was never into the Dior Homme line and never had one of them... But let me tell you when I first sniffed this the first thing that popped up in my mind was "I'm buying this" and 1 minute later I was at the cash register. Scent is great. Price is great. Performance is great. Go buy it.

I agree this one is similar to Dior Homme line, BUT... there is BIG BUT! I think it is very similar to to something else. I was sniffing my arm and thinking... hmm I know that smell. I own that perfume and I have body gel with that scent... what could it be ? And then I knew! Lalique Hommage a l’Homme has very similar drydown - oud and violets/iris.

I get a hint of cacao as it sits longer on my shelf (not bc I don’t like the scent, the opposite). Cacao mixed with the powdery iris and lavender. Those dusts just work out so well with the leather and woods/amber. So I think this is a blend of dior homme + dior homme parfum.

I just got my Hands on an unopened bottle- This does smell like Dior Homme Parfum/ Intense in the mid-dry down. Initially, It did not and I said what the heck,, but after a few minutes... Eventually, the end result is a softer oud..

Beautiful, sexy, and long-lasting. This is the best one among all Zara fragrances I own.

The best release among hundreds of fragrances from Zara.

I was quite impressed by the original eight fragrances in Jo Malone's Emotions range for Zara. They had the high quality, unusual-yet-cohesive accords that JM is known for, at Zara prices. As a result, I was keen to try the newer releases. BLS is a very masculine fragrance, despite being marketed towards women. Oud is the dominant note here, an ingredient I admire, but not one I wear, as I find that it overpowers the other notes, as well as being very masculine. I get a hint of bergamot in the opening, which is quickly eclipsed by the oud. As it develops, the oud settles, allowing some lavender and powdery iris to emerge. The florals are subtle and soft, barely detectable.There is some amber in the base, but this is a very oud-heavy scent from start to finish. It dries down to a powdery oud skin scent. Overall, BLS is defined by its woody-leather accord, and all notes are masculine. It reminds me in parts of Dior Homme and Fahrenheit. Sillage is moderate to strong, and longevity is very impressive, lasting for about six hours before fading to a skin scent. Good quality masculine scent, excellent value but quite polarising thanks to the oud. 3/5.

I've never tried DHP but have tried DH and DHI. This is in the same category as those two but is very different IMO. What I can say is this starts off with lavender and quickly transitions to a woody, leathery scent with a powdery character. I don't get much bergamot if any. There is also some oud at the base which gives it a slight animalic feel. Overall it's a very pleasant scent with moderate projection and sillage. I don't usually opt for Zara fragrances as they're usually poor performing clones but with this one I felt compelled to buy a bottle. Out of all the ones I tried from Zara/Jo Malone range this was the most interesting. Not for everyone but worth a try at least.

Given the price point? It's fantastic. Does not last on me for ages, but cannot complain. Very wintery and smoky, 100% unisex and I wear it to the office. Maybe a bit too much of citrus at the beginning but set down to something nice and cozy. Leathery. Yet somehow fresh. No idea how it gets similar to Dior homme perfume on some people - not happening on me at least. Better to smell before buying - not a safe blind buy. You can smell the quality in my opinion, but again - I guess it's very personal. One of the best ones from Zara and I would truly recommend it.

I only have a roll on travel size version but i regret now that i missed the chance to purchase a full bottle of this one. Zara used to have great unique scents and this is one of them for sure. Its very strong on me so i only need a little bit. Maybe its leaning masculine but i love it so i wear it :) great for colder, rainy days. Citrus with leather was a great idea to pair it. #4 amber& fig cashmere was another great one from the line. I got many many compliments when i wore it.

Nice release from Zara. Perfume is in a similar vein as : Zara Leather Jardin mixed with a powdery iris note. Opening is woody and oudy, slightly animalic/medicinal that lasts about 10mins. Dry down is leather, woody oud with a powdery iris and a little amber in the back. I get some similarities with Dior Homme Intense, Parfum and Prada L'homme Intense. Longevity is not great, I get 4h max.

For a Zara perfume I am actually impressed, sprayed in store few hrs ago and it’s still strong.. It is more masculine, but some women can definitely pull this, it is woody and leathery, there is some sweetness in it as well.

I have this perfume... For me it is too masculine, but still beautiful. So i would sell it if someone is interested.

Clone of Tom Ford Noir. Smells nothing like Dior Homme.

I didn't have a chance to try the 2021 version, but the recent version (2025) smells so similar to Penhaligon's Alizarin that it feels like an uninspired imitation. Where Alizarin excels in its complexity, the bright, fleeting pop of mandarin and narcissus at the top, the elegant, powdery heart of iris and mimosa, Bergamot and Leather Spritz goes for a blunt approach. It immediately dives into the sweet ambery, leather and oud (more synthetic of course), skipping over the more refined floral and citrus elements as Alizarin. Not bad for the price, though.

I got my B&LS today. It’s bad for me, it’s masculin leather oud and too strong, with some old fashioned notes. I love others Jo malone creations, that’s why I waited some citrus spritz ,at least unisex. I can scare bugs with it, only ;). They should change chapter “for man”. So I give it away.

I really like Dior Homme but this isn’t similar to that. It smells just like it says in the name citrus and leather. Nothing to do with Dior Homme. Thank god I went to smell it in the store and did not buy it online. ( I didn’t like it)

It is a soothing yet refreshing scent of bergamot, lavender, leather, and oud. I think it would be a very beautiful scent if it were used as a room fragrance. It's more male scent. I felt something wrong wearing it.

@misterthugg - NO! 100% No 2 Bergamot and Leather Spritz is not a clone of ANYTHING! To my nose, this is very daring scent with 100% NICHE profile and it's not for everybody, it's far from typical dayime fresh scent. On my skin, I got lot of true Orientale character with prominent notes of Leather, Oud, Vetiver, earthy Violets, Patchouli and Saffron. It's dark and serious scent with mature profile. People who like woody, mysterious, dark, mature, heavy fragrance will love No 2 Bergamot and Leather Spritz. To my nose it got own unique character, but there are some scents that it reminds me of: - Dior Fahrenheit - Gucci Guilty Absolute Gucci for men - Encre Noire Lalique for men - not a scent, but a profile like the old style of some Mancera scents - very leathery-woody with powerful not sweet daring earthy masculine profile. For people with that kind of testate, I'm sure No 2 Bergamot and Leather Spritz will be amazing treasure! Zara and Jo Malone did excellent work!!! Budget scent with amazing refined masculine character.

Could anyone who knows please answer a question for me? How similar is this to Zara 9.0? That one is similar to Dior Homme (original), so it would make sense that it would also be somewhat similar to this fragrance. But to what degree? A little? A lot? Not at all? Thank you in advance, I'm sure I'm not the only one who would find that comparison useful, since many people have a good idea how 9.0 smells. Edit: several people answered me privately so I'll summarize it here. 9.0 is very different from this, way sweeter and with a more prominent iris note whereas BLS is more leathery. Blind bought this as a gift for my husband. We were both unanimous within 2 days that this perfume was quite awful and unappealing. I can’t vouch for the likeness to the men’s Dior that has been mentioned below but it’s quite metallic along with the Rose Petal Drops I got for myself. Both scents are good performers longevity wise but something within the DNA is quite like nail polish remover. A rather mature men’s fragrance, despite having bergamot it is very woody but almost as tho the citrus and woods aren’t friends with each other.

Guys I got a question about this fragrance ? I'd appreciate it if you'd answer my question. Is this really intense as DHP ? Because DHP is a heavy-intense fragrance for me but I love irisy fragrances like Prada L'Homme. This one has lavender and bergamot and I think these notes makes the fragrance soft and fresh but I don't know about this fragrance. I want to buy this but I'm not sure. If its really similar to DHP, It would be a heavy-intense fragrance for me.

Here's what I think might have happened: either the tester at the nearby store for Gracefully Madrid had the wrong label and was actually this fragrance or they introduced this fragrance as Gracefully Madrid at 1st then changed it to Spritz No 2 and gave Gracefully Madrid a reformulation. Either way, if this is the one that smelled like Belsize Beat, then I love it, if not, oh well. I still have my Belsize Beat hand lotion tucked away for a good sunny day.

Tested on my arm at Zara. Great opening. Love at first sniff. Bought it right away before the few remaining bottles are gone. Transition to the drydown was quite fast and disappointing though, leaving a generic synthetic amber on my skin. Short lived magic unfortunately for me. Returned the bottle before opening the box. There are other lovable perfumes in the Jo Malone Zara collection.

I think the opening is a little harsh and leans feminine but in a few minutes turns into a smooth leather with a touch of iris. Definitely what you can call a sophisticated scent. Gives you a sexy gentleman aura. A very similar scent to DHP but lighter and versatile. The performance is better than the Zara standard, lasts a good 6 hours and has a moderate projection.

Smells good. Not complex, though deep. It is not "intense" but on the other hand, it doesn't wash off, so longevity is immense. I like it but I feel there might be a gimmick to this lasting so long. It's not transparent and doesn't evolve much so I feel it is a sort of "film de parfum" coating the skin.

Just sampled and very impressed. I own DHP and DHI and it's a very similar vibe. To me it feels like a hybrid of DHP and Jo Malone Oud & Bergamot. Which would make sense since this is a Zara and Jo Malone release. Even though it would be redundant to own, I can't help but feel I've got to buy this...

I have never tried DHP but always wanted to try, This one smells Amazing! Similar to my Valentino uomo intense, smells like absolute quality and class, now i have to try DHP!

Smells like if CK shock and Killian Pearl oud had a baby its a good fragrence overall but dry down has a smell of bug spray

It's back in July 2025! Haven't smelled it but hopefully they haven't changed the formula.
