Queen Plumrose

This is such a qualitative fragrance especially for the price! It's a fresh rose mainly, not overly sweet and syrupy at all. The sand gives it a little bit of a salty texture if you may. Not overpowering saltiness since I don't like anything salty on my skin. It just gives an edge to this fresh and tiny bit aromatic rose. This is so long-lasting on me it's incredible. After a good 8 hours I can smell the dry down still. It reminds me personally a tiny bit of the original Si but just how the rose is done here. Fresh, happy scent for everyday but I don't find it too generic because of the sand note. Simply love it and will use it a lot!

it is a very classic soft rose with some salty sand in the background and soft petals. there isnt much greenness in there, just soft pink rose in wet sand. dry down is more powdery, the floral lasts through out. safe for everyday and all occasions. last around 3~4h on my skin, need reapplication maybe once during lunch break in the office. for the price tag, i can recommend.

It is the quintessential desert rose. Soft, dry, powdery. Like the softest brushed suede. Good for very hot weather where you want to smell good in a soft unintrusive way

I'm becoming obsessed with this one. I originally bought it as a low like, as a testing like if you will. Initially, as I was wearing it for the first few times, I was a little hesitant. Do I like it or do I not like it so much? Well, I'm finding myself grabbing the bottle and spraying it all over repeatedly (because I want to smell it and because unfortunately it doesn't last so much). Now, I'm converting into someone who borderline loves this fragrance. It is strictly floral. Strange for me to like it so much because I am the resinous, and gourmand type. I don't do florals so much. To me, this is entirely floral. It is floral upon floral. I am now starting to identify the rose in here, although I smell other flowers. (I don't know what other flowers I smell, but it's not jasmine, not violet, not tuberose, etc.) This is like roses done in a very out-of-the-shower, clean way. It inspires me to wear it right after showering and washing my hair. It has a shampoo-y feel to it, like I must smell like this after washing my hair and out to get dressed. It is very pleasant, but unfortunately, it lasts very little time. It does not project, and I don't think it has sillage, but I will have to try it around people to really know if it has sillage or not. It is mostly a skin scent.

Have you ever received a bouquet of red roses (those very dark red ones, almost burgundy)? When they're fresh they smell well... like fresh roses. As they start dying they usually release a really nice rosey fragrance that usually gets to every room in the house. It's rosey but sort of dark, wood and almost wet in a way. This smells just like it, like red roses that are just starting to die. I know it sounds off putting but it really is very pretty and sort of dark and gloomy, maybe because of the association. The sillage is good enough, lasting power is moderate. I always get compliments on this. If you are looking for a cheapy (right now the 80mL bottle is 50% off!) with dark witchy vibes for fall, this is a great option!

This is a great and classy rose scent, great throughout the entire year around. For me, every rose perfume tends to be more mature, I personally don't mind, but I wouldn't give it to a young (less than 30 y) person. Leans more to feminine, but I can see some guys wearing.

Zara Plumrose is pretty much identical to Zara Gourmand for Her. Great sillage and good stay power - aprox.4 hours. Great value for money. You can put it in your bag and reapply at need.

Reminds me of a watered down version Bvlgari Rose Essential. It’s a fun and girly fragrance, but is mature enough for the office

Queen Plumrose is part of Zara Chapter 5 line, the 30ml bottle is on sale at the price of 7,95€ in stores, and the 80ml is just been added to site. Queen Plumrose is majorly a rose centered perfume, falsily appearing as a solinote it has a rose note that evolves in three different stages, from alive and immature to dry, gloomy and essicated, then again back to life, this time mature and full of color and fruitiness. The notes reported by the brand are sand, rose and woody notes, but in the description they add that plumeria and gourmand notes are present. On my skin it opens with a rose that at this stage is not sweet at all, very delicate and watery, smelling like a pink May rose intertwined with some light citrus, maybe bergamot, behaving a bit like geranium. However the temperature starts to change and a warm and deep atmosphere develops, making that young rose evolve in to a more spicy rose, quite dry in texture but still velvety. Soon, the rose has completely changed in to a dark one, its colors variating from red to plum, its petals essicated and sandy, but not yet dusty or powdery. It's like a rose burried in warm sand, deep and gloomy. I would definitely describe this stage as a potpourri effect but almost darkly romantic. A potpourri of dark petals, spiced and sandy. A burst of life returns to this rose in the form of what I belive to be litchi at first a bit too synthetic and detergent like (reminiscent to me of a home deodorant when mixed with the rose), a combo that usually yields golden results but in this case ends up being a bit shrill to my nose. This fase of uncertainty passes soon however, the litchi like note turns more fruity and candie-ish and the rose is transformed in to a pink, mature and fruity rose, reminiscent of the one in Zara Rose Gourmand, lightly sweetened but absolutely not jammy like that one (it appears there is no strong vanilla or sugary notes in Queen Plumrose). Some light plumeria and an undertone of coconut water can be appreciated at this stage, making the mood more lively and light. There is a gentle sweetness now that we find ourself in the middle of the scent and it comes from something fruity, tropical fruits to be exact, it is an accord reminiscent of a blend of tropical orange colored fruits (like papaya and mango, but also a bit of peach). The rose in the mix is velvety just like a peach's or apricot's skin! You don't smell one or all of those fruits in a photorealistic gourmand way and they are not sweet at all but there are those vibes. In some moments I can also pick up a little of that pungent facet proper of the avocado and something that smells like an apricot kernel too. Zara said in their description that there are gourmand notes in the fragrance and I heard some reviewers spoke of a turkish delight smell but I don't think so at all, I belive the light gourmandish character comes in the shape of vague tropical fruitnes mixed with some clear coconut water, and only the most light touch of vanilla. In the dry down the rose is pretty much still present as it is the fruitiness, the only thing that stands out as different in it is a feeble generic woodiness, plus some light amber. In that part of the dry down that is just intimate there is again a vague similarity to the dry down of Rose Gourmand by Zara, only not that intense, vibrant and vanillic. The scent is now lightly powdery and a raspberry/black berry facet stands out, you can smell it until the day after on skin. In terms of imagery this would probably be a lifeless rose, searched and sorted out from a vast warm sand expanse to be offered to a special person as a token, maybe as a symbol of an unrequired love and of the draining courage that it takes to confess it...but to the amazement of the giver the gift is welcomed and so is the love, the magic of the encounter revitalises the rose which comes back to life with color and lymph, sweet and gentle. And everlasting, one may hope! In my imaginations I can picture the rose under the glass from The beauty and the beast movies while smelling this fragrance and its evolution. If you love fruity perfumes mixed with some rose then this could be a very feminine, more mature fruity scent that avoids the usual extra sweetness. Performance is not bad either...actually it last for six hours and it's so strong for the first two! Dry down is tenacious, last until the day after. I loved the start and the fase of the scent that had a murky, romantic and dark rose but its evolution doesn't exactly matches my tastes. In terms of comparison I think this fragrance could almost be a flanker of Zara Wonder Rose with finally some serious rose in it, not just in the name! When the dry and deep rose evolves and the fruits show up it has almost the exact same style of Wonder Rose, a bit of its base and even the quality of the materials seem the same to me. Wonder Rose (and Wonder Rose Summer) have a note called tutti frutti, and it smells like a mix of fruits with some red and berry purple ones clearly in the mix, in Queen Plumrose we have the same tutti frutti note but more tropical leaning, their color would be all shades of apricot (plus some green and berry). They share a smidge of coconut water too, but here it is not so strong and distinguishable like in Wonder Rose, which afterall is very sweet, sticky and juvenile. Queen Plumrose smells similar to Zara Hibuscus too, a well loved tropical fruity bomb on a base of delicious amber plus exotic flowers; of course Hibiscus has no rose note, and I think they would layer pretty well. In closure I would like to add that Queen Plumrose would have fitted better in the Capter 6 collection, togheter with the more fruity Marshmellow Addiction, Sultry Pear and Cherry Smoothie, it has more that sort of vibes. In turn I would have put Peach Glow in the Chapter 5 (replacing Queen Plumrose) since it has a kind of peachy tea quality, not so much a sweet fruity/ripe peach bomb. It has a more light and green quality to it, more in line with the others from Cahpter 5 such as Royal Fresia, Noble Wisteria, and Majestic Lilas (they are, all in all, more green and eatherial).

Omg, this scent is so beautiful, love at first sniff! I read a few reviews before, because I am a girl who loves Roses, so I decided to blind buy. Luckily I wasn't disappointed, this is my best favorite Rose scent from Zara right now! People commented that it was a Red Rose that was gradually withering, I confirmed that. But it's not like the Rose has withered or died. To describe it, it's like when you put a bouquet of Roses in a vase after 1-2 days, the petals will dry out a bit. That's exactly right, and the scent of Rose is very pleasant right now. I think it's because of the blend of Sand notes, that creates a gentle, slightly dry Rose. I still feel something fresh and succulent here even though the Rose petals have dried up. It's hard to describe, this is a Rose that is both dry and fresh, slightly sour, everything is just right, not too dry but not too fresh. A unique scent that I find very enjoyable. Although the price is very cheap, scent is better than many expensive Rose perfume bottles that I know. I find it similar to Chloe Signature, but the scent is fresher, less sweet and more pleasant than Chloe. Chloe is sweeter because it has Lychee and Peony, creating a very classic, cheerful powder, different from Queen Plumrose which brings a melancholy feeling. It's a shame because it doesn't last long, only about 2 hours on my skin. And Zara replaced the gold metal cap with silver, I think gold is still more luxurious. But it's okay, I love it and highly recommended to try if you are a girl who loves Rose scent. Rating: 9/10, my favorite Rose perfume

The notes are wrong on the Fragrantica page. According to Zara, they are rose, plumeria and gourmand notes. This perfume is very, very floral, it smells of a fresh rose, somewhat green and powdery, accompanied by a floral sweetness provided by plumeria (frangipani). To my nose it also smells subtly of coconut in the background. During the first minutes it has reminiscences of a certain smell similar to the one of cookies that disappears soon, being the only gourmand aspect of the perfume to my nose. It has a moderate sillage and lasts on my skin for 4-5 hours. It is a simple and spring-appropiate fragrance, pleasant also with high temperatures, but nothing special either. If you need an informal perfume for summer mornings or to use when leaving the gym, it may be a candidate. Smell 6/10 Duration 4.5/10 Sillage 7/10 Quality/price 6.5/10 Versatility 7/10 Packaging 7.5/10 Would I buy again? Probably not

I have one complaint on this and it’s simply that it doesn’t last anywhere near long enough!! which is a problem as it’s such a beautiful fragrance.💕 This is a light rose and intimate fragrance, it’s the opposite of a beast mode fragrance, but it’s delicate nature is what really like about it. It's such a shame that it vanishes as quickly as it came. Otherwise I’d be wearing this all spring and summer long. It’s so pretty.
