Red Temptation Floral

I agree with everyone opinions here: this is indeed a mix of Red Temptation and Golden Decade (and I guess this would dissappear in a moment from the shelves had it been marketed that way). When I first tried it I was momentarily confused, had I mixed bottles? Was my mouillette already sprayed with Golden Decade? So I tried for a few times, and I can confirm that Red Temptation Floral is truly a marriage of the core aspects of Zara Red Temptation and Golden Decade lines. The opening fase consist of strong orange blossom and jasmine: sweet, syrupy and enveloping but with a light touch of the soapy soul of Golden Decade present, minus the lavander. On the background there is the classic ambery dna of Red Temptation, with a sprinkle of saffron, but the burnt sugar/candy floss is not present I think, it is replaced by the caramel, which is not lactonic and creamy but very soft and airy. The aspect I liked the most is the earthy base and the dry down; I can feel the oakmoss and a touch of that gorgeous earthy base and soil tinged patchouli typical of Red Temptation Winter, granted in a much soft and blended way; the orange flowers soften everything with their honey tinged creamy touch and I can even smell the ambery vanillic dry down typical of Golden Decade (and Libre). This last aspect is what makes this flanker a true winner in my eyes. Great longevity and decent projection, one of the best new Zara in my opinion, a very well executed blending of the the two lines (similar to the concept of Zara Love Explosion), and yes quite similar to Libre Le Parfum version (probably the most similar to Libre Le Parfum in the whole Golden Decade line). Edit: I must add: if you, like me, are tired of Red Temptation then this edition is definitely a new way of sporting that dna! It has a unique twist indeed (I still love smelling on me the more complex Baccarat Rouge, but I just can't wear Red Temptation anymore...it is everywhere and I got tired of it).

This one took me by suprise. The first sniff was quite sweet, and I was worried it could turn syrupy on my skin, which often accentuates sweetness in that way. But with the start of the drydown, that initial sweet hit fades into a beautifully balanced composition. It consists of a thick warm caramel, and thanks to the dry amber and jasmine it has almost and incentlike, resinous quality without losing its delicious gourmand vibe. Both the jasmine and orange blossom are well balanced, the jasmine not overbearing. They support the caramel and dry amber, which does a lot of the heavy lifting creating a warm and glowing aura, making this scent wonderfully mysterious instead of just another floral perfume. There is depth and warmth and maturity. I know most people rate this as more feminine, but if I would smell it on a man, I would want to burry my nose in his chest and never leave. So to me, it is very much a unisex scent. Great performance: Good sillage, good projection, and 10-12 hrs longevity. A powerhouse that will make people turn and compliment you all day long (or all night long)!

For me this is a wearable version of og red temptation. Im not a big fan of the original version, but I quite like all the flankers. While winter version is still my number one, the newbies are really getting my attention. This one is very nice. It does remind me of OG, but this is a bit less cloying, sweeter version of it. I dont get much of the florals, but they add some brightness in the opening. This does dry down to a caramelly goodness mixed with vibes of the original DNA, with decent longevity and projection.

Definitely a second cousin twice removed from Bacarat 540. This is a lighter more floral engagement but the DNA is still there. I love it, it has a floral twist and the dry down is beautiful with the caramel and amber doing a great job supporting the florals. Very nice 👌

This is my absolute favorite everyday scent for the past 2 years!! I absolutely adore it, out of all of my niche perfumes I received the most compliments for this one!

Kudos to Zara because the staying power on this is absolutely mental - I had a whole bath and fake tan and I can STILL smell it on my arm! Sometimes when I catch a whiff I think 'mm what's that delicious smell?' but other times all I get is shampoo. Maybe I need to sit on it for a bit. But for the price? Why not!

On me, it smells like metallic Golden Decade. The metallic note is presumably from Red Temptation, which I don’t have but have BR 540. How interesting. But I was hoping that there would be muted metallic note in RT. It’s probably my chemistry that amplifies the accord.

because of how strong the orange blossom comes off on me, this smells like red temptation (original) and golden decade (original) had a baby. for that reason it feels redundant if you own both, although i do enjoy it.

Golden decade (which I dislike anyway), with worse projection and a slightly musty undertone. Give it a miss.

I love this! It feels like Red Temptation — but improved. Smoother, more balanced, and with a lovely floral twist that makes it brighter and more wearable. Still has that sexy, addictive vibe, but now with a bit more elegance.

Hmm headache inducing...but it’s sweet and flowery need to macerate... 😉
