Santal Glow Eau de Toilette

I don't know how mojave ghost smells like so I can't make a comparison. Though if the real one is just as good as (or better than) santal glow then.. I can safely say I am bought. This is amazing. It's a very well made scent that makes a person who doesn't like violet such as I even bought for. I can't imagine not smelling this scent on my bed (and on me). This scent is pretty soft and velvety despite of its enormous sillage. Delicious! I know sandalwood, to me it's not that note that stands out. I am not familiar with freesia too, so probably it's the blend of the notes that works. Overall, it's a very nice scent. Now I wanna explore more of zara.. And for santal glow, I will totally buy again.

Well, thank you Cherihanei. When I would return to the room after using the Mojave Ghost-scented dry shampoo collab between Ouai and Bryedo, I would be all, "What is that divine scent?" A kind of Glossier-You modern ambrette floralized with just a bit of realistic violet! It was so fabulous they, of course, stopped making it. But then in Zara I gave the Santal Glow a spritz and I was all, "This is so familiar! What is it?" Got on Fragantica while in the store and read your review. For twenty bucks I can summon the Mojave Ghost to haunt me with happiness! I should have bought two, because they'll probably stop making it. Edited to add: They stopped making it.

I've never tried Mojave Ghost before, but if it's anything like Santal Glow, I will definitely dig deeper into Byredo fragrances (not a big fan of the bottle though). Santal Glow opens with a rather strong fresh scent then mellows down into a prominent ripe sapodilla, it then dries down into langsat (duku in my country), which is funny considering it's not in the notes. As for SPL, it performs surprisingly well for an EDT. Overall, Santal Glow is a pleasant enough cheapie, and quite versatile, although I figure it would be rather cloying if oversprayed.

If you are looking for a pear solinote fragrance you should give this a try. This smells like an intoxicating juicy almost sirupy pear. Sweet, delicious and candied. I guess the synthetic violet + sandalwood notes contribute to make this beautiful yummy juice. Definitely a love from Zara. Especially for the very cheap price.

I really enjoy this, I find Zara's sandalwoods work really well on my skin and the violet gives it a really nice twist. I have nothing else quite like this in my collection and want to buy a "higher end" version when I run out.

This is a dead ringer for Byredo’s Mojave Ghost. Has poor longevity but so does Mojave Ghost, and it’s a fraction of the price. It’s too bad it’s been discontinued! Please bring it back Zara!

This does NOT smell like santal blush!

One of my favorite bedtime scent. It’s cozy, creamy sandalwood with a hint of sweetness from the flowers I think? Yes it’s weak and doesn’t last, that’s why it’s perfect for bedtime. Like a warm blanket, I love it.

Snagged this on sale after thinking it was discontinued... This is an aquatic purple floral sandalwood perfume. Very transparent and linear, the only real difference between the opening and the dry down is that the dry down is... dryer. All zara perfumes tend to lack personality in my opinion but this is very agreeable. I have a soft spot for fragrances that fall into the “perfect for sitting around at home” category...This is perfect for just that! Fluffy, clean and wearable. In fact, I think this smells like chamomile tea... However, I do wish it were warmer because it does open a little sharp at the beginning.

Very generic and floral, not woody, I'm disappointed. I use this as a toilet freshener. I think freesia makes this soapy. I love violet, but I can't smell it in this. I've learnt that I don't like freesia.

Some years ago I saw how the girls tested Zaras perfumes in the shops; they sprayed it in the air and kinda walked trough it.... And, this was a blind buy; - it smells nice on my clothes, on my skin it doesn't smell that nice, hm, I think it's the intens sandalwood, it's killing all the other notes. -So, it only gets at 6 of 10 from me.

On my skin this is very strong on the freesia. Unfortunately I’ve found that freesia (and sometimes sandalwood) gives me headaches so this isn’t for me. The silage and lasting power are surprisingly good for a Zara edt! It’s a really pretty scent but my head just can’t take it.

Too much violet and freesia to be called “Santal Glow” in my opinion. I’d maybe call it Botanical Glow or Floral Royal.

Recently reviewed Mojave Ghost. I just need to add that I caved and bought Santal Glow from Zara to see if the praised similarities had grounds. Oh dear.... it is EXACTLY the same. No exageration. I own both MG and now SG so I could smell them hand to hand. Extremely similar if not a solid copy. Musky fruity soapy scent. SG has strong chemical-alcohol opening, beware of the first seconds. Didn’t know it was possible but Zara managed to get an even weaker longevity than Byredo. Santal Glow lasts less than 30 minutes on my skin and one hour or two on textile. It’s a bit sad that the sapodilla, a very unique fruit in terms of perfumery (I think MG is the only frag on this database to have sapodilla) is that easy to recreate... but hey, your wallet will thank you, so let’s put aside the sentiment. I kept Santal Glow as a bedtime fragrance and got rid of my Mojave. Also layer it with ambergris i got from a perfume shop to add more depth and to encourage longevity on skin ! Honestly, if you like Mojave Ghost, I highly suggest you get your hands on Santal Glow first. For 20$ (CAD) you’ll at least get to see if you will tolerate the weak performance in the long run, and of course as a sample of the 350$ original. I would be interested in knowing who created this perfume. I know Jerome Epinette worked with Zara a couple of times, I wonder if he helped on this one too, if anyone knows !

before go further.. I never smell Mojave Ghost Actually, so i cant compare it. the reason why I bought this because ZARA bring sooo much discount for this perfume, bought it around 15$ First spray its a Blassttt of alcohol.. but after that.. the Fressia is like WUFFFFFF hahah and violet slowly appear.. in Mojave Ghost, they have sapodilla as a note..in my country Sapodilla name is SAWO and its not all time season fruit. what I can remember about Sapodilla Fruity its actually a Sweet and Creamy tasty fruit.. but in Santal I didn't notice that sweetness..Justtt Freshhh some review said its a Weak Fragrance, but in my Case.. this is one have a Great Sillage and Projection on me. I had many compliment when I wearing this one, everytime I walk on my office coridor, my coworkers said she/he can smell it on her/his room..and her/his room its 2 meters beside Coridor when i leave from one room to another room.. my "smell" lasting for 30 minutes or 1 hours and Very Versatile... because of that,, i got 2 back up bottle for this one, and still waiting for another ZARA discount for repurchase lately, I know the mojave ghost is my Idol's (eun woo) Favorite Perfume, feels more happy for bought this affordable SANTAL GLOW... Love it sooo muchhhh

Santal Glow opens pretty loudly. I haven't smelled something like this before thus I am limited to describe the notes breakdown. All I can say is it smells clean and soapy. Nothing tingles my olfactory nerves. Living up to its name, the sandalwood is present after some time and lingers for another 2+ hours on bare skin. Never been fond of sandalwood so... yeah. A nice and versatile fragrance in general. Just not for me though. If Mojave Ghost smells similar to this, then I gotta cross it off the to-buy list.

I did not fall in love with any of the 4 new launches of this line from Zara, but I still decided to give all of them a try on my skin to wear it for a day and decide after. Actually this one worked better on my skin than on the paper and lasted all day basically (around 6-7 hours) but without a strong projection. I dont get that very specific sandalwood smell but a nice woody drydown that on my skin reminded me of Hugo Boss woman.

Probably the closest dupe to Mojave Ghost. I have both the original spray and the lotion - I would say it smells exactly like the lotion. I personally find this to last longer than the original. Pretty hard to find now but I got mine on Mercari!

I really do LOVE byredo mojave ghost but its really too expensive. This is a decent dupe for byredo. 10€ for 100ml vs 180€ for 100ml.. Worth buying!

I own this and Mojave Ghost, and yes they smell extremely similar. Definitely worth picking up!
