Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes

Omg, serendipity in a bottle!!! I am loving this, wish I was more farsighted in understanding its worth...I should have bought two bottles. I was expecting, reading Zara's description, a citrus overdose of the bothersome kind...instead bergamot, mandarin and ginger are perfectly blended togheter, they present a united front and they are so louminous and airy, even solar in a way...mandarin is sweet and tender, the ginger a smidge spicy and earthy, never bitter! Their olfactive presence is a tad lost in the middle fase, but the sparkly and watery quality they gift to the scent remains, actually...the ginger is still felt in the heart of the scent, it gives something extra to the flowers, a kick of fresh spiciness and a cool sensation! The orange flowers they choose for this are lovely, simply lovely...multifaceted and rich. They are made zesty by the ginger, sweetened by the mandarin, have an intrinsic honeyed quality about them, but in contrast they are also very soapy (more so then the ones in ZaraxJoMalone Fleur d'Oranger); they smell a tad young and unripe too, as if blossomed by just a day or two. They have the sweetness and candor typical of the orange flowers but also the greeness of neroli, probably because they are accompanied by cassis, lots of cassis, which adds something a little herbal and unruly, but no ammonia (or cat's pee) at all, nor yet fruitiness to my nose. The base is light amber and white musk intertwined, I can not distinguish between the two, the effect is warm and sweet but posh, clean and sophisticated. Also this is a sexy musk....dry down is addictive! The scent lasted for at least 4 to 5 hours; it projected quite well for the first three, but then dies down a bit...becoming more intimate, you can still smell it on you though, actually the musky/ambery dry down last until the day after, but it would be detectable only by someone very close. If a man were to wear this, on a summery night, I think I would just jump on him without shame...or at least I would say "hi"! This perfume speaks of freedom, of joy, of a carefree attitude and of someone that would not say no to you...speaks of an "ecstasy like" want for human connection. Perhaps I am a dreamer, a looner or a tad extra but scents always talk to me in this way, and this one managed to make feel less anxious, made me imagine beautiful peopole with beautiful hearts having no reservations in knowing me. Now my wallet is in trouble because if Louis Vuitton Imagination is similar to this, plus a tea note, then it deserves to be in my cabinet! EDIT: I think we should forget about Imagination and take this on his own, for its worth, the major component and what really gives value to it is the way they used cassis, not even the citrus-ginger play. I have my bottle for about two months and after a bit of maceration I can assure you that beautiful cassis remains on skin during the dry down, projection has gotten better too! It has become a slightly more fruity cassis but it is still unruly without being ammonia like. It is a good one, I assure you. Now available in a 30ml little bottle too.

In fact, it could easily make you the best-smelling person at the gym. I purchased it on sale for less than €9, making the price-to-quality ratio exceptional. For such an affordable fragrance, the quality far exceeds expectations. Based on feedback from those familiar with Imagination, if this fragrance truly shares the same DNA, there's little reason to spend 30 times more — even 3 times more would be questionable. Of course, the fragrance police on Fragrantica might not agree with me. Is it a perfect match for LV? Maybe not, but does it deliver an outstanding olfactory experience for a fraction of the price? Absolutely. Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes is a delightful fragrance that offers a little bit of everything — zest, warmth, cleanliness, and a hint of sweetness. It's a well-crafted summer fragrance that's light, breezy, and effortlessly stylish. The perfect companion for warm, sunlit days. I've tried EDB and Marwa in the same "Family" of scents. Out of those 3, this one is the smoothest and dare I say also the strongest, in terms of projection, at least in the first few hours. Compared to Marwa, it has less of an Incense-y feel to it, its brighter and more citrus forwards. More akin to "French Perfumery", when compared to the other two mentioned above. Also I'd say the initial blast of scent is stronger and its projects better off of my skin. And the scent feels more composed, when compared to the other two. Compared to EDB this is way softer in the ginger compartment - which is good, because I realized for myself that, although I like the smell of fresh Ginger, its extremely hard to incorporate Ginger into a perfume, without it smelling off... I've tried a few times in my DIY attempts of perfumery and it just smells off to me most of the time. Kinda salty, kinda damp and an almost synthetic feel alike to pampers or other things made out of plastic like substances (i.E. new Tupperware's, new backpacks and such) o.O at least that's the best I can describe it. And I was using natural, high quality Ginger oil. Didn't matter, just not my note. In EDB the Ginger is just disgusting and overpowers everything else even after 3 months of maceration. In Sunrise on the Red Sand Dunes though, its so subdued that I honestly quite enjoy it. It has the most "Ice Tea" like feel for me out of the three, which is why i started looking into this DNA in the first place. I still haven't had the luck of trying Imagination for myself, this though is the first "clone" of it that is even remotely worth its money to me (at around 20-25.-). so I am still of the opinion that Imagination has to be the best scent ever to justify its very high pricetag! Because if it is just another freshie like this, aint no way its worth paying 300.- for it

Sunrise On The Red Sand Dunes Zara vs Imagination Louis Vuitton Sunrise Zara opens more citrusy and pronounces loudly to the wearer in the initial 5 to 10 minutes with a blast of zesty citrusy orange, so aromatic and fresh. After that it calms down and becomes really close to Imagination. Whereas Imagination doesn't open loudly, it remains pretty much the same from the opening to the mids but on the immediate opening spray you'll be able to get the Neroli in it too. Not for the case of Sunrise Zara. Sunrise Zara doesn't have the nice neroli in imagination and it's orangey cirtusy dna remains to mid. Basically for the Sunrise you'll get a distinguished mandarin orange, orange blossom and black current. Whereas on imagination, you'll get the nice Chinese black tea c02 and Tunisian neroli, Sicilian cedar and ambrox. That's probably the main differences. I'll say give and take 60-70% somewhat similarities. Imagination seems more polarizing as the scent develops into a more musculine with cedar dna while the sunrise Zara remains orangey flora and stays linear to me. Overall I think it's a good alternative despite not so close for $49.90 Singapore dollars. It's good enough to be a scent on its own and smells really nice, doesn't need the comparison to Imagination. Suits our Sunny warm humid weather out here. Generally lasts up to half a day out there or perhaps longer in Air-conditioning. Imagination does smells more classy and better quality and goes in a different direction with the tea and neroli.
